Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Mosquitera, ventilador, enchufe y luz en la cama. Taquilla muy grande, limpia y nueva con una parte de caja fuerte con código para los objetos de valor Daban toalla y había tendedero. Los baños tenían la separación de ducha y wáter. Zonas comunes muy amplias y cómodas. Ubicación perfecta al lado de la parada de bus, entre Galle y la playa. Accesos con código en la puerta.
Quizá que los baños estuvieran en la planta de abajo y las habitaciones en la de arriba.

It was Only us as locals , other all was Tourists . it’s my First time in Galle , and I really impressed with this stay about galle , and about their historical culture. Highly recommend for tourists Fo’Sho . very professional owner , they are providing everything , i have noticed that they are following good standards inside the hostel . it’s a professional experience..! Definitely i will come back . My wife was very happy with the stay .

Bathrooms could use more improvement, the AC room that we stayed in was nice but the bathroom did not have a handle to open and close from the inside and this was quite annoying. Rooms could use more lighting as well. Overall it was a good experience

Хорошая локация для начинающих серферов (в бухте куча школ и ренталов), да и в целом отсюда удобно перемещаться по побережью. Мебель и комнаты уже старенькие, но спать и жить вполне комфортно. По соседству такие же бэкпекеры - понимающие ребята, которые берегут сон каждого (хотя мне, возможно, просто повезло). Есть кухня для готовки, плюс дешевыe завтраки от хозяев.

Some huge trees in the backyard. Ideal space to do some yoga and meditation under trees because its calm and quiet even though it is closer to main road and the beach. Helpful and kind staff. Cozy place. Highly recommended.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2026I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. It was great that there was a fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators — you can cook your own meals. The hostel is also very close to the sea and the main road, which makes both travel and walks very convenient. The downsides: there aren't enough power sockets in the lounge area, and the Wi-Fi quality is absolutely terrible — it doesn't work properly anywhere, neither in the room nor in the common area.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, wir haben auf jeden Fall nichts vermisst. Positiv war auf jeden Fall der Wasserspender in den Gemeinschaftsräumen und die Möglichkeit Frühstück zu bestellen.
Leider war die stark befahrene Straße die ganze Nacht über zu hören.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026The location is close to Dewata beach should you decide to go for surfing lesson or just to chill and relax. Just 3-5 minutes away to Galle Fort by bus. There is a lot of restaurants as well nearby. Tantys hostel has a kitchen free to use if you want to cook your own food or reheat, also they have water dispenser if you want to refill your water bottle anytime for free.
Internet is slow.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2026Der Aufenthaltsraum, die Küche und Waschraum sind sehr groß und alle haben super viel Platz. Die Betten sind groß und mit Moskitonetz, sowie Eigenen Ventilator ausgestattet. Waschmaschine vor Ort
Morgens vor Sonnenaufgang wird man durch den Muezzin geweckt. Es ist sehr laut und nachts sehr warm.

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026Pour moi, le meilleur hostel pour l'accueil, l'emplacement, les équipements, la propreté, les espaces communs immenses, bien équipés et très bien entretenus, la possibilité de stocker de la nourriture et de cuisiner avec tous les ustensiles et vaisselle, possibilité de laver son linge et de le faire sécher au soleil, eau chaude, de nombreuses douches et sanitaires, un immense jardin très arboré et fleuri. Autour, nombreux commerces, supermarchés, plages. La manager Hansi est très à l'écoute, très douce, discrète mais toujours prête à aider.
Rien, c'était parfait.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2026Poměr ceny a kvality super. Postel byla pohodlná, zásuvka hned u postele, lampička a větrák, moskytiéra. V kuchyni je možnost si načepovat filtrovanou vodu. Personál milý, ubytování čisté.
Trochu dál do centra Galle. Hodně hluku na pokoji do 2 do rána, ale to je spíš problém hostů, než hostitelů.

Reviewed Feb 11, 2026Tiene un área común muy grande donde puedes también cocinar… Al principio no había agua caliente y nos lo arreglaron!
Nos quedamos en la habitación privada con aire acondicionado. De primeras no nos dieron la habitación hasta las 15 cuando ponía que nos la daban a las 13. Pedimos hacer el check out mas tarde incluso pagando y nos dijeron que habia que pagar otra noche y eso tuvimos que hacer. En el baño nos encontramos CUCARACHAS y ARAÑAS… una aventura ir al baño y ducharse. Arriba estan las habitaciones compartidas y parece ser que el techo/suelo esta heho de carton porque se escucha TODO, no para de andar, tirar cosas y es horrible para descansar. También escuchábamos todos los videos que veían arriba

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026This place is a genuine 10 / 10, everything was simply perfect. The hostel is huge with lots of space to hang out, the dormitories are large enough, the beds are sturdy so they don't move around much, there's a serious kitchen to use, it's close to the beach, the people are friendly but unobtrusive, there's supermarkets and cheap local food close by. I wish more hostels were like this.
There's really nothing to complain about. Just a suggestion: one or two hammocks in the garden would make a nice addition!

Mosquito nets were there. The common area is spacious and calm and vessels were clean; option for cooking. Staff was friendly.
