Avisala Hostel Coron

Lit confortable. A 15 minutes à pied du port et idem pour rejoindre le centre ville. Au calme. C’est propre. Il y a un lieu de vie au centre. Billard à l’étage.. et surtout le personnel est top pour répondre aux questions. Serviette de bain fournie.

Il y a un rooftop que je n’ai découvert que le dernier jour. Dommage. Internet très variable.

Nos fuimos a otro alojamiento al ver la habitación, no pasamos ni 1 noche. Hay 4 literas en un espacio de 2×2 metros, es claustrofóbico. Limpieza regular, no hay agua caliente. Por 10-20 eur más por persona encontramos un hotel al lado muchísimo mejor.

There was nothing I really really liked, but also nothing I really really disliked. Average place, not too far from main area. Pool table on the roof top, if of any interest.

It wasn't very clean and it felt a bit run down. I've seen much better places for the same price. Looks better in pics than reality.

Got a 8 bed dorm just for me. Beds are very comfortable and the staff is very very nice They got two really cute cats at the hostel, but they stay out of the rooms

The shower is cold but it's not a big problem though. You get used to it

The staff here are so nice and kind! The two guys working on reception go out of their way to book tours for you and can help with anything. The hostel is clean and the beds are comfy.

La chambre de 4 est petite, mais on est 4 pour nos sanitaires et le lit est confortable, le personnel sont toujours très agréable

遇到櫃檯的男服務員非常親切友好！協助我許多，是很溫暖的感覺，住宿裡有兩隻小貓很可愛，附近有間咖啡店很好喝，離主要街道要走一段路不過很安靜，中庭下挖的沙發區很特別。我住了很多天每天白天都出海去了只有晚上休息，雖然有些缺點但這個價格可以接受。

沒有附吹風機可以提前提醒，那幾天洗澡沒有熱水，我的上舖在滴水會有些聲音，插座是壞的不過櫃檯給了我延長線，實際比照片感覺在昏暗一點。

La cama es cómoda y la habitación tiene baño. No está en el centro, pero lo considero positivo. En frente hay una lavandería y la zona común es cómoda.

El wifi llega justito a la habitación, pero en la zona del centro, donde hay para sentarse funciona bien.

The night shift receptionist is truly this hostel's standout asset; he definitely needs a raise. He always goes the extra mile for the customers and super helpful regarding places and tours. The hostel was also clean with good AC

Very supportive and friendly personnel, organizing transfers, tours, scooter rentals... for a good price and helping out even after my official stay.

Nice roof top terrace, however sea view blocked by ugly unfinished building. Nothing the Avisala could change though.

Nice and chill hostel, good common area, but the dorm have no really a good space, is little bit difficult to move inside. Bad are good. Toilet is inside the dorm, but also outside. There is restaurant and terrace upstair, is in a quiet position, 10 min walking from the main area. Staff is kind and helpful.

Very good to stay 2/3 nights. Great staff. They help you to book island hopping, Trycicle, Van... I'd definitely come back.

Good location, staff very helpful and accommodating. We're able to book last minute after our boat to El Nido was cancelled.

Only two showers and two toilets between the dorm rooms so had to queue.

The rooms are small and quiet which is nice if you need to be up early and just want to relax etc. It’s probably less social than others in the area but there is a little pit you can chat and make friends! Staff were lovely :) location close enough to the centre probably about a 10/15 min walk but probably would opt for a trike or tuktuk to get into town if you’re a woman solo travelling as the roads are quiet and a bit creepy when it’s dark. Nice to have own bathroom between 4 too rather than having to walk to a different part of the hostel. Showers are cold but wasn’t a major issue

Although there were walls between the beds on top bunk, the ‘private’ light from the individual beds are quite bright & the curtain poles fall down a bit but better than not having any curtains / light I suppose

Was exactly like the photos and the mixed dorm of 4 was cosy. The bathroom was large, AC was cold, short walk into town, felt safe. The staff arranged absolutely everything for us and were super helpful. They arranged our tours, transportation, ferry ticket etc to Coron.

Mixed 4 bed dorm was very small however we booked the whole room for 3 of us so we managed fine. Just like the photos.

Jay was very helpful giving us tips, booking the ferry to El Nido, etc. The hostel is very nice and comfortable.

One person from my group forgot a few personal items in one of the rooms (snorkeling mask + medicine bag) and were never found. It's weird since that room was only shared among members of my group and when cleaning somebody from the hostel should have found it

Very friendly stuff! They did their best they could to help with recommendations and arrangements.. be aware that they are all from different islands so they do not know everything about the island.. Rhea the manager was really helpful even if she wasn’t there! They helped me changing one one of my dates, due to the fact I wrongly placed my reservation. Transportation from airport good. Recommended

WiFi is terrible. If you are counting on it you will be disappointed

I ended up extending my stay three times and stay over a week, as I really liked the diving in Coron area, the 8-bed dorm and the 6-bed dorm share two showers and two toilets, what could cause a bit of waiting time sometimes, but it worked out well in all my time there, I spent Christmas's Eve there and me and another guest were invited to dinner with the owners/staff and karaoke singing afterwards (I was recovering from a cold that day, so I my singing must have sound amazing), location 10min walk away from the centre but all tours and my diveshop included pick-up, scooter rental and airport/pier pick up all managed by the receptionist, just let them know, they love to arrange everything for you, under bed locker require a big lock, my small one didn't fit, would be nice to have some locks to rent

The staff is amazing! I stayed over Christmas and got invited to the Christmas dinner and the karaoke afterwards. Had a lot of fun!

The place was very nice and welcoming and the staff was so kind and helpful.

The only drawback is that there is no hot water but at the same time the water is not so cold

A great Hostel with comfortable beds, space for storing bags and helpful staff. I was very fortunate to be in a 4 bed with an en-suite. It was very comfortable, private large cubicles and with space under the bed for luggage. There is great strong sun throughout the day on the roof top level for drying washing within hours; The staff are very helpful, pay great attention to cleaning and it’s a small size for a relaxing and recharging. Location is a quick walk to the main road.

Island has constant blackouts so minimal wifi and no generator, cold showers, main bathroom smelt terrible and walls of room were not clean.

The staff is very accommodating. Mabait Po sila Kuya and Ate. Laging malinis Ang restroom. And pwedeng magpapali ng towel anytime. Tahimik din Yung area.

Out of the noisy part of town, the staff were really helpful and friendly - they assisted with booking transfers and bike hire.

Convenient laid-back quiet smaller hostel with wonderful staff close to the center (7min. walk), comfy beds with curtains/reading light/plug, large lockers (bring padlock), clean bathrooms, coffee&purified water at the reception, can help you with almost everything (motorbike, ferry tickets, tours, fridge with beer and softdrinks for sensible prices, spent the 31.12 with Jake and his staff & extended my stay here. Small convenience stores close same as dwcent restaurants with local guest& prices

The bed is so comfy plus the room where I booked has its toilet and shower which is nice.

The location is a bit far from the main road. Sometimes when. You need to take a tuktok you have to walk to the main road to get one or when going to the hotel sometimes tuktok charge more as they will say it is far. Also, the water pressure needs to be fixed in the water heater seems like not working sometimes too.

The disposition of the rooms are very good, the service rooms are nice too, the staff very friendly and disposed to help every time.

There’s a lot of insects but is OK, is located near to the mountain and you don’t have a lot of constructions, so it’s understandable

Great stay. Jay & Dominic are so helpful & will help you with anything you need. Great recommendations for tours. Perfect location. Free coffee & water at your disposal with breakfast available at an extra cost. Shout out to 'Baby Mike' the tricycle driver as well. Thank you for everything guys. If I return to Coron I will definitely book in again.

This was a pretty basic hostel that met all our needs. The room was clean and comfortable and the showers were hot! We only stayed here one night but the staff were all lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable hostel, small dorms, good privacy curtains, each bed has a power point and light. Clean showers, good AC. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Location down some dark back roads, didn't feel safe walking on my own but very cheap for a tuk tuk and when I was with someone felt ok.

Super friendly place to stay. I had a bed in 4 bed dorm with its own bathroom and aircon. It's slightly off the main road but I found it safe to walk in the evening. And lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The hostel also arranged transfer to airport.

To make this place even better, I would suggest a kettle or access to boiling water 24/7 would be great.

The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating. Had laundry facilities and breakfast options for a very good price. Location was excellently - between Mount Tapyas and central town.

Comfy bed Clean bathroom Cheap

Plug by my bed was faulty so I wasn't able to charge anything On top of that, customer service wasn't great, which in my opinion is what sets all these hostels apart. Booked a bed in a 4-bed dormitory. Upon arrival I was told they "messed up" and they had to put me in a 8-bed dormitory. Offered to refund 100 pesos and to change room the following day, which I didn't really want to do as it would have meant packing all my stuff again for 1 night. No explanation or anything. The first morning I asked where I could buy some mangoes. The boy at reception said the market, which of course prompted my question as to where this market was. His answer was finger pointing in the direction of town followed by "you can Google it". I mean, honestly, if I could Google it I wouldn't be asking in the first place.... When I go back to Coron I most likely won't be staying here. Yes it was really cheap, which was great. But I feel like you get what you pay for in this case.

The staff were amazing!!! They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They made us hot tea when not feeling well and reheated leftover foods on a pan in the kitchen when hungry. The beds were comfy, the room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and the hostel was so central and lively. Breakfast was delicious. Staff arranged tours for us and were always available to chat. We had a great experience and couldn't recommend a better hostel!

Nice set up with blackout blinds, your own outlet/plug socket, a reading light, a clean bed and lockers underneath. The staff were enigmatic and eager to help, Ralph was a particularly great staff member and fun to talk to. The outdoor area though small was clean and quite nice, much like the rooms in this regard. I would certainly stay again.

Some of the lockers had various faults which could put your storage at risk of theft if they were broken and the distance from town wasnt as good as maybe some other hostels but overall it was clean and courteous.

Breakfast included was small but nice. The staff was really helpful and kind. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The ensuite restroom was big.

The 4-beds dorm was really tiny, there's just space for the 2 bunk beds and less than a meter between them, making it hard to even walk by if there's someone else standing up.

I checked out very early and I was only offered to have coffee. Breakfast would have been nice, since comments were really good, but I didn’t had the chance to try.
