This is my second stay and I am as enthusiastic about this lovely place as the first time! One of the best hostel I ever visited - and I visited much;)

Il benvenuto e l’ospitalità dell’host sono stati impeccabili, siamo arrivati fuori dall’orario stabilito e ci hanno poi anche accompagnato in macchina al ristorante che stava chiudendo, per far si che riuscissimo ad arrivare in tempo. La posizione della struttura è ottima, a 10 minuti a piedi dal porto e altrettanti dal centro città.

Purtroppo la nostra camera (privata per 2 persone) era veramente molto sporca.

Camera ampia, staff molto cordiale, ottima la posizione, parcheggio gratuito disponibile nelle vicinanze, lungomare raggiungibile a piedi.

La porta della camera era difettosa: non si poteva chiudere e così è rimasta per tutti i giorni in cui siamo rimasti

The property is in a very convenient location in Horta, especially because it is very close to the port. This is particularly useful for anyone arriving by ferry or planning to travel to other islands, as you can easily reach the property on foot. We knew in advance that this was a hostel and had specifically chosen the option of a private room with a private bathroom, so this was exactly what we expected. Miguel, the owners’ son, was particularly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We had an issue with the door lock, and he immediately made an effort to find a solution and was very attentive in trying to resolve it.

There are several aspects that could be improved. The property is quite humid, and the air-conditioning system does not work particularly well. It seems to work properly only when set to “Powerful”, but at that setting it becomes excessively strong and uncomfortable. At lower settings, the airflow is so weak that it does very little to reduce the humidity inside the room. The room does not have a conventional door separating it from the outside, but rather a large glass door/window. This means that privacy is somewhat limited, and the curtains do not completely block out the outside light, particularly in the morning. Installing mosquito screens both in the bathroom and on the main glass door/window would also be a significant improvement. The overall cleanliness could also be improved, especially considering how humid the property is. One of our main suggestions would be to add Miguel’s phone number as the main contact on Booking.com. We initially tried to contact the owners, but as they do not speak English very well, there was some misunderstanding in the communication. In general, there was information we needed before arrival that we were only able to obtain by speaking directly with Miguel once we were already at the property. Having the contact details of someone who speaks English would make a significant difference, allowing guests to ask questions and obtain the information they need before arrival, rather than only once they are already there. This would make it much easier to plan and organise their stay efficiently. Overall, we appreciated the excellent location and, above all, Miguel’s kindness and willingness to help. With some attention to these practical aspects and clearer communication before arrival, the experience could be significantly improved.

Parti comuni carine e vivibili. Vicinissima al porto 😁

Avevamo prenotato due posti letto in un dormitorio misto da 4, i letti lenzuola e tovaglie erano stati rifatti e puliti. Il bagno invece non era stato rifatto nonostante l’arrivo di due nuovi ospiti i su 4 della stanza.

Die Lage ist super, nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt vom Hafenterminal und auch in Horta kann man alles gut zu Fuß erkunden. Das 2-Bett-Zimmer ist liebevoll gerichtet und war sauber, das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit.

Hostel 5*, ficamos num quarto twin com wc, limpo, confortável e staff muito simpaticos.

Possibilità di fare il check-in esclusivamente dalle h 15-18. Abbiamo atteso oltre un' ora per il check-in in quanto il personale della reception, che è stato avvisato con ampio anticipo del nostro arrivo (h 18 in punto), si è presentato dopo le 19. Non è un servizio.

Les lits pourraient être plus confortables, notamment les angles des sommiers à angles droits en bois sur lesquels nous nous sommes fracassés pieds et tibias.

Den Kaffee, die Katzen, die Zimmer und das Hotel als ganzes.

Es hat Recht lange gedauert, bis wir ins Hotel gekommen sind, weil niemand da war. Später kam eine Frau, die wirklich Recht nett und ruhig war, aber leider fast kein Wort Englisch konnte. Das hat die Kommunikation etwas schwer gemacht aber war im Grunde kein großes Problem.

Fomos muito bem recebidas pelos donos do hostel. Muito simpáticos e sempre disponíveis para ajudar com qualquer questão. O quarto era bastante agradável com espaço exterior para convivio e descanso. Tínhamos também acesso a uma cozinha para uso comum com todos os essenciais.

It was in the city and close to everything! Facilities were good, and the room was spotless!

Great hostel, right in the middle of town. The place has clearly been recently renovated, and with great taste! Kitchen is well equipped, laundry is expensive because the machines are needed by the hostel staff, but there are coin laundromats nearby so it’s very easy to deal with!

Einfach, sehr sauber und grosszügiges Zimmer im Garten.

Wir sind hier spontan für eine Übernachtung gewesen, da sich unsere geplanten Flüge zwischen den Inseln verschoben haben. Das Hostel war sehr sauber und ruhig. Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns sogar außerhalb der eigentlichen Check-in Zeiten empfangen.

La proximité du port. L’espace commun notamment la cuisine à disposition. Le prix est attractif.

L’organisation des arrivées : L’établissement ne dispose pas de check in autonome (portes à codes), il nécessite la présence de personnel. Pour notre part, sur les créneaux de Check-in annoncés, nous avons dû essayer de contacter différents numéros, à diverses reprises, pour qu’une personne se déplace à l’établissement.

L'accueil, la proximité de la gare maritime, du centre ville, de la marina, et la possibilité de laisser les bagages en consigne pour en profiter avant notre départ par ferry

Das Hostel liegt direkt im Zentrum von Horta, nur ungefähr 10 Minuten bis zum Hafen. Vom Flughafen kommt man mit dem Taxi für ungefähr 15 Euro auch entspannt hin. Check-In nach 18 Uhr unkompliziert möglich (aber unbedingt telefonisch abklären, damit jemand da ist).

La stanza era molto bella, grande e pulita. La grande finestra dava molta luce e affacciava sul bel giardino della struttura. Pulizia ottima, lenzuola e asciugamani puliti e morbidi. Molto comoda la cucina comune e il tavolo dove poter cucinare e mangiare. Super consigliato!

The kitchen is well equipped and you can cook. The living room is cozy. All is really clean

There is really nighting that I didn't like. Maybe a point of improvement might be the outlets not really reachable from the bulk bed on top .

I think I will keep this one in my heart because it is a very clean, neat, and fully furnished hostel, that not only lived up to expectations, but somewhat went beyond expectations. In fact, it is not only clean, but exquisitely furnished and located in a place that will give even the occasional tourist a great advantage because of its proximity to many local hotspots. The staff was very nice. Because I went there off season (but is February really off season at the Azores?) I profited from a big dorm where I wasx the only guest. Very satisfying stay.

I have nothing negative to say.

Got my meta glasses and my friends wallet got stolen from our rooms and the owner more or less said that sucks, hope you find them. Keep in mind, the owner doesn’t have control over who stays here. But he does have control over security - giving us keys to our own rooms, cameras, employees on site. None of this actually gets done unfortunately.

Es war sauber

Als wir ankamen, war niemand da. Trotz vorheriger Information, wann wir kommen. Wir standen 15 Minuten vor verschlossener Tür. Das „Deluxe“ Zimmer ist eine Ansammlung von Möbelstücken. Zudem ein muffiger Geruch. Alles wirkliche lieblos. Der Innenhof wirkt ungepflegt (vertrocknete Blumen, hohes Gras). Kartenzahlung nicht möglich, nur bar. Nicht einmal für die Durchreise würde ich hier buchen.

L’établissement était très joli.

L’organisation comme l’enregistrement et faire la lessive ce n’était pas si bon. La communication avec le propriétaire était un peu difficile.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. It was very cozy, clean, had comfy beds, equipped kitchen and had everything you need. The atmosphere was very friendly. Especially the staff, senhora Anabela is very kind and greets everyone with a smile, always happy to help if you need anything. I actually went back to the hostel after my stay just to see the people I met there again :) The location is also good and central.

The location is near the ferry terminal, it take ~10 minutes walking. Nearby there has a supermarket . The place is clean, and the lady tidy up the place all the time. The kitchen is well equipped

Bom atendimento, ótima localização e instalações limpas. Recomendo!

Il servizio l'accoglienza la disponibilità in tutti i momenti della giornata

Die Zimmer sind Modern und frisch renoviert. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber. Betten sind mit Ablagen und Steckdosen ausgestattet. Es sind Schließfächer in den Zimmern vorhanden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. (Oktober). Rezeption nicht immer besetzt aber telefonisch immer erreichbar. Zimmer sind geräumig und es gibt genug platz fürs Gepäck.

Frühstück ist entgegen Booking.com Informationen nicht zubuchbar gewesen in der Unterkunft. Eventuell der Nebensaison geschuldet. Gespräche vom Hostel Innenhof hört man leider relativ gut bis ins Zimmer.

L'ostello si trova in un'ottima posizione per muoversi nel centro di Horta ed è silenzioso, pulito e molto confortevole. La stanza era spaziosa ed il letto abbastanza comodo così come il bagno. Gli spazi comuni sono accoglienti e la cucina è dotata di tutto il necessario. Lo staff è molto simpatico e cortese anche se poco presente.

Lo staff è stato poco presente durante tutto il soggiorno, tuttavia non ci sono stati problemi in caso di necessità.

Leider keine Vorhänge an den Betten, aber bei meinem Aufenthalt nicht stark ausgebucht, deshalb war das kein Problem. Kleine Locker.
