My partner and I were both hospitalised after being exposed to carbon monoxide leaking from the air conditioning unit in Room 4 for approximately 30 minutes. This was an extremely serious incident that could have been fatal! The owner immediately offered us a refund, but seemed more concerned about Booking.com becoming aware of the carbon monoxide issue than addressing the underlying safety problem. While we were in the room feeling unusually tired, dizzy, and unwell, I discovered a previous Booking.com review describing the exact same issue. Thankfully, we recognised the warning signs and sought help before our condition became worse, we could of died if we stayed just a few minutes more. Others who stayed here previously appear to have suffered even more severe exposure. For anyone considering staying here: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL! A known carbon monoxide hazard has already been reported, yet it appears no effective action has been taken to resolve it. This is not simply an inconvenience or a poor customer experience, it is a serious safety risk that could put lives in danger. Please do not take the risk.

Finalement nous n'avons pas séjourné dans cet hôtel car la chambre réservée sur Booking ne correspondait pas à celle disponible dans l'hôtel. La patronne nous a trouvé une autre chambre sur l'île qui correspondait à nos critères et nous la remercions grandement. C'est une gentille personne très compréhensive.

El lugar es 10 de 10 ,muy buena atención ,super limpio ,te brindan durante todo el día te café y galletas y lo más importante los baños super limpios y hay como seis baños realmente super cómodo,si venís a Ko Lipe ,ni lo dudes venite que es el mejor Hostel

Tous est parfait

Céntrico y el staff fue muy amable, esta bien para quedarte una noche. Desde donde te deja el ferry hasta el hostal está a menos de 10 min caminando. Te dejan gafas de bucear si quieres. Hay lockers en la habitación ( llevar candado)

Le dortoir est un peu étriqué : il y’a beaucoup de lits pour une pièce assez petite, et donc pas beaucoup d’espace pour circuler et mettre ses affaires

La ubicación. La amabilidad y predisposición. Tenia lockers en la cama bastante cómodo y a mano.

Bien situé, un peu à l’écart, mais au centre de tout. Il y a de l’eau chaude dans les douches. Ils offrent eaux, café en poudre et biscuits. Il y a un casier au dessus du lit.

L’air climatisée est arrêter le matin tôt. Il n’y a pas de places pour mettre nos sacs proche, faut les mettre dans un rack à l’entrée de la chambre. Chambre étroite. Le lit n’est pas très confortable. Il y a plein de souris dans l’espace commune mi-extérieur.

Perfect location- right off walking street and near a big supermarket (with the beat banana breads). The staff were very kind. There was free tea, coffee, water and biscuits.

The dorm was very cramped (2 people could not walk at the same time) amd there was nowhere to properly chill/ relax (a very small space) so I was forced to roam around coffee-shop hopping all day.

Das Hostel liegt sehr zentral (fussläufig 1min von der Hauptstraße. Sowohl alle Restaurants als auch alle Strände sind in kurzer Zeit fussläufig erreichbar. Das gesamte Hostel ist sehr sauber und wird mehrmals täglich gereinigt. In den Schlafräumen läuft nachts eine Klimaanlage und es ist gut klimatisiert. Die Mitarbeiter des Hostels sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann jedem empfehlen dieses Hostel auf Koh Lipe zu buchen.

Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam, dat heeft ons verblijf nog een stuk leuker gemaakt!

Alles was goed en wat je verwacht van een hostel!

Ottima posizione, circa a metà altezza della strada principale, si arriva a piedi a tutte le spiagge in meno di mezz’ora. Molte docce e bagni a disposizione, lockers abbastanza grandi per uno zaino nelle camere, spazio comune carino con caricatori a disposizione. La proprietaria è molto gentile e disponibile.

Non sono sicura che le mie lenzuola fossero pulite al mio arrivo, al tatto erano unte e c’era della sabbia. Il resto della struttura (zone comuni) è pulito.

La gentilezza dello staff, la pulizia ottima.

Honestly such a wonderful place, most caring staff, amazing facilities, perfect central location, comfy beds with lockers, places to hang clothes, lots of showers/toilets - more than you ever need. Also such an affordable price!

Many beds in a small room, impossible to pack or unpack inside of the room, is allowed to smoke in the common areas, the faucet is too short and very close to the lavatory, they turn off the AC for 7 hours

Sehr nette Besitzerin die kostengünstig Schnorcheltouren etc organisiert. Gute Lage in der Mitte der Walking Street, sehr schnell am Sunset und Sunrise Beach/Northern. Die Klimaanlage im Dorm war perfekt, angenehm kühl (ohne zu frieren). Große Aufbewahrungsbox im Bett. Zudem kann man kostenlos seine Wasserflaschen auffüllen.

Fijne kamer, goede bedden. Airco werkte goed. Perfecte locatie, vlakbij walking street maar wel rustig. Super lieve mensen bij de receptie!

Erg gehorig. Eerste nacht sliep er een familie met kinderen die nog over de gang rende en op alle deuren gingen bonken.

Perfect location just off walking street but no noise in the hostel. Free tea/coffee/water and biscuits. The private room was big and had an ideal sized bathroom. Staff were lovely and greeted us every time we walked past. Would highly recommend.

There were a few ants around the food packets we had in a bag but just don’t leave this out and it’ll be fine.

Very clean and very nice owner and staff!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, sie haben uns mehrfach auf den kostenlosen Kaffee und Kekse hingewiesen. Die Lager war sehr gut gleich neben der Walking Street.

Das Zimmer hatte keine gute Belüftung und nur eine alte Klimaanlage. Daher roch es muffig und nach Schimmel.

Quel accueil chaleureux ! Merci. 7 nuits en dortoir mixte, lit n°8 parfait car en bas, au fond de la pièce et pas dans l'allée principale donc très tranquille. Bel Espace individuel avec crochets pour vêtements, un cintre, un casier à fermer avec un cadenas au dessus du pied de lit, rideaux bien occultants sur toute la longueur. Air conditionné (5pm à 10am) et ventilateur confortables. Sanitaires communs très bien entretenus : je pense que le personnel nettoie au moins 3 fois par jour. Savon shampoing à disposition. Réfrigérateur à partager. Possibilité de café, thé, "milo", offerts avec petits gâteaux. Eau bonbonne en libre service. Un gros avantage (sur l'île, bouteille 1.5l 25-30 bahts). Espace commun avec bancs, tablettes hautes, ventilateur. Espace à partager entre fumeurs/non fumeurs. Localisation parfaite : proche de tout, tous commerces, toutes animations, 10 minutes à pied de "sunrise"(est) et "sunset"(ouest)" beaches". Et cependant très calme et silencieux. Malgré la surcharge touristique de l'île, le Nest Hostel est un lieu plein de sérénité et de gentillesse. Sourire et disponibilité malgré la rotation impressionnante de clients. Bravo et merci encore à toute l'équipe 🙏

Les hôtes sont d’une gentillesse incroyable, elles sont si adorables et souriantes. L’auberge est bien placée.

I’m so glad I chose to stay in Nest hostel, the facilities were very clean at all times, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Also the location is right off the walking street so close enough to all the fun while it’s still hidden enough to be outside thick of the craziness. I thought sleeping in a 12 dorm would come with its own problems but was pleasantly surprised!

We had a familie room with comfortable beds and a good shower. The staff here is amazing. They even brought us a pink pie for our daughters birthday! Thanks for everything!!

Very good localization, just next to walking street! I had a very good time in this hostel. There was also drinking water avaiable, coffee, tea and little snacks. They really took care about cleaning as well.

Lovely friendly staff. Great location but still quiet. Comfortable bunks with a/c on at night. Hot showers and never a wait for one. WiFi. Hot and cold drinking water and free tea, coffee and biscuits. Other guests all quiet and respectful.

No outside space and the inside seating spaces were limited and hot (no a/c). Also nowhere outside to hang wet clothes. I stayed for 4 nights and had the same towel - I'm not sure how long you would have to stay before they changed it. The option of a female only dorm would be nice. People are allowed to smoke in the communal areas.

Das Nest-Hostel ist einfach unschlagbar. Ich hatte ursprünglich drei Nächte gebucht und bin zwei Wochen geblieben. Die Betten sind unglaublich bequem, bieten super viel Stauraum und Privatsphäre und das Personal ist unglaublich toll. Ich habe Pinok und Ihre beiden Mitarbeiterinnem ins Herz geschlossen und freue mich darauf, wieder dort zu übernachten. Ich habe in den letzten Jahren viele Erfahrungen in Hostels sammeln dürfen und ich habe noch nie ein Hostel erlebt, was so sauber war. Und es war unfassbar ruhig. Alle Gäste haben aufeinander Rücksicht genommen. Ich komme wieder, und zwar in zwei Wochen 😍

This is a perfect place to stay in Koh Lipe. Its close to the beach, walking street and all the restaurants and stores. Its clean and the bed was comfortable. The owners were amazing. So kind and helpfull and I even got the cutest bracelet for a gift when I arrived. Afterwords I forgot something in the hostel and they helped me and sent it to Langkawi. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much❤️

Me and my friend had carbon monoxide poisoning (CO) in room 4 (no windows). We spent the whole night in the hospital after suffering very severe symptoms (we were almost unconcious). When we told the owner she responded cold and didn’t give us back the money for the night we almost died. Only for the remaining nights. Since we obviously weren’t going to stay in that place anymore we asked her is she knew a place where we could go as the island is tiny and fully booked. We were exhausted and didn’t sleep the whole night. She answered with “you should probably go to a 5 star hotel” as if we were some spoilt tourists that weren’t happy with the room instead of almost being killed by CO poisoning. The whole experience left us very shaken and sad. We are still slowly recovering and need to vist the hospital daily for oxygen therapy. Please WATCH OUT when you stay in the rooms with no windows.

The staff were amazing and the location was in middle of island near but not too near to the noisy walking street. Was able to walk everywhere, and when too hot and tired, there were tuk tuks everywhere. Nest Lipe was great value for money as the room is very nice and has everything you need.

The walls are very thin and we had a family with young baby in the hostel that they loved to play with the hallway very loudly. Or the baby cried. Up every day at 6 or 6:30 AM using hallway as a place to meet others in their family or play with baby. When we signed up to hostel private room, we are always wondering if we will hear young party goers coming in/out in evening when trying to sleep. Many times the hostel hosts are too nice to enforce a quiet time. Actually the young people in shared buns were super quiet and went to lounge to talk quietly. But the family in private rooms beside us were incredible loud.

Tout ! Le personnel, l’emplacement, la propreté , le service nous avons passé un agréable séjour ! Nous reviendrons si nous en avons l’occasion. Je recommande +++

전기절약 정신이 투철한 호스트. 낮에 복도 등도 소등되며, 객실에 냉장고는 있으나 상시전원이 들어오지않아 객실 냉장고에 음식 보관할 수 없다.

Ostello nuovo e molto carino, con zona in comune molto ampia e con possibilità di cucinare. Il signor Lee molto gentile e disponibile. L’arma in più di questo ostello e’ sicuramente Larry, che organizza cene in famiglia, attività ed è sempre pronto ad aiutare, a giocare e parlare con te.

L’unica pecca, ma assolutamente niente di grave, e’ che servirebbe aggiungere una scaletta per raggiungere la zona in comune, così da accedervi in maniera più comoda e senza il rischio di farsi male. E inoltre aggiungerei l’acqua calda alle docce. Comunque ostello bellissimo.

It would take me a lifetime to describe all the reasons why I loved this place. First of all, the lady that runs the hostel is the absolute best. She’s a very kind and nice person that will try to help you out with everything you need. The hostel was always in pristine clean conditions, not a single stain or anything. They also make your bed everyday. The location is extremely convenient since it is like half a street away from Walking Street, but at the same time it is located in such way that it is not noisy all, on the contrary, is it a really quiet place. Apart from that, you have a table with snacks, coffee, tea for you to prepare whenever you want. I knew and have experienced in the past what Thai hospitality is like, but this is just another level. I loved this place and I would 100% recommend it to other people visiting Lipe. I’m looking forward to coming back soon!

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die mit mir sogar ihr Mittagessen geteilt haben. Es war sehr köstlich. Das Hostel war gut gelegen, war sehr sauber und man hatte genug Möglichkeiten seine Sachen/Rucksäcke unterzubringen. Es gibt auch eine kleine Tee/Kaffee Ecke.
