The staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a great social vibe around the pool. I stayed in a dorm and one night in a private room. Both were very good.

A hostel - which isn't just accommodation - it's a community. Will, Ly and their family create a naturally warm, caring environment. You have the easy opportunity to get to know the other guests, via the layout of the social space and the great events they host. Their expert knowledge of Hoi An, makes booking activities and tours super cheap and helpful. The private room was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities you needed. Food and drinks were delicious. Their smoothies bowls are to die for. If you ever stay in Hoi An, you need to stay here. It will be one of the best parts of your trip.

It was a resort style property but with hostel pricing and very close to the beach! They also had a studio room that I used as a yoga space. The dorms felt it was having your own room. The owners really tried to create a social environment with outings and group cold plunges

Food was kinda expensive on site :( Beach was close but I just didn’t like the walk there … had to cross a weird spot of old construction materials.

Great hide away. Walking distance from the pubstreet and close to the beach. Menu and drinks are fair priced and staff is really friendly. Housekeeping always make sure the place is on point. I've already extended my stay twice. Definitely recommend for people who like a more social easygoing not party party hostel.

The hostel has a very cool vibe to it: cute dogs, pool and a bar in between to chill, plus the rooms and washrooms were super clean. Will(host) was super helpful and makes sure that the guests are having a good time. He has his own list of recommendations for every place in Vietnam😍

They offer a range of excursions and onwards travel as well as being super close to the beach and a quick drive away from the busy old town . The hostel itself is super clean with great pool and bar area. Great food and coffee . They even have an english bookstore here . Highly recommend staying here !

A friendly chill vibe with a super cute pool area. The room was large, comfortable and quiet at night. A great hostel that is welcoming without being too in your face. The staff were full of smiles and always happy to help. Would definitely stay again….just for the fab smoothie bowls!

Heel fijn hostel! Vlakbij het strand en 10 minuten van Old Tow met een Grab. Schone kamers, vriendelijk personeel en het zwembad is erg fijn om even af te koelen. Het personeel helpt je ook kosteloos met het regelen van tours, activiteiten en eventueel vervoer naar je volgende locatie.

Mir wurde problemlos das Geld für die restlichen 2 Nächte zurück bezahlt (initial für 3 Nächste gebucht) - das schätze ich sehr! Eisbad!

Leider was das die entäuschenste Erfahrung in Vietnam für mich, besonders weil die Unterkunft so viel verspricht und sein will. Passives agressives Verhalten: als ich mein Thema ansprach: sie hatten mir einen unteren Bett schriftlich gesichert, da ich ein Problem mit meinem Fuss habe, hat mir die Eigentümerin mir gesagt, dass ich doch laufen kann und dass ich vielleicht ein separates Zimmer für mich brauche, den so ist halt in einem Hostel - total unnötig. Ganz schlimm für mich war eigentlich, dass mein Bett nicht frisch war und als ich das auch ansprach, meinten sie das es nicht stimmt. Dafür habe ich das erste mal in meinem Leben Fotos gemacht! Frischen Organgensaft im halben Whiskey Glas serviert und Tür ging mit der Kode nicht, so musste ich ständig aufwachen und den anderen die Tür öffnen, weil der Gastgeber darauf nicht reagiert hat (es war 3 Mal um 1 Uhr nachts). Wirklich schade!

- Bequeme Betten - die Location hat Potenzial

- es wurde zwar geputzt, aber auch einiges übersehen - in den Zimmern ohne Fenster riecht es komisch - es gibt keine Handtücher im Band, nur eine Rolle dünnes Klopapier - kein kostenloses Wasser - Pool area ist sehr klein und mehr als 4 Leute finden dort keinen Platz - bei der Rezeption wirkt vieles unorganisiert und als ob der eine nicht weiß was der andere macht - alle Infos bekommt man sehr Last Minute - Manager Will wirkt auf den ersten Blick nett, aber wenn man genauer hinschaut und hinhört kann er sehr unangenehm werden, auch seiner Frau gegenüber ohne ersichtlichen Grund - der „Empfangsbereich“ gleicht mehr einer offenen Rumpelkammer und alle neuen Gäste stehen dort verloren rum - es gibt keinen verschlossenen oder beaufsichtigten Bereich für das Gepäck, diese steht einfach beim Check in/out einfach im offenen „Eingangsbereich“ wo jeder ran kann - es gibt keinen einzigen Ganzkörperspiegel - alles in allem ein komischer vibe und ich habe mich nicht wohl gefühlt

Lovely hostel! It has a very very friendly and sociable vibe with loads of activities organised, really easy to meet people. The pool was great and so was the food and drinks, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Good location, it is a 5-10 min walk to the lovely An Bang streets and beach. I loved staying slightly away from the hustle and bustle, just bear in mind you’ll need to taxi into the old town but it’s worth it for the peace and quiet and an bang beach has a fantastic beachy, relaxed feel

Slightly underwhelmed by the private room, it was actually the most expensive place I booked on my whole trip (mostly staying in hotels and homestays). There was a slightly damp smell, and no window to look out of, and some of the room fittings could probably do with some love! Eg the shower head was falling off (although to be fair it still worked). If you’re prioritising the hostel experience over luxuries then definitely book this place as it ticks all those boxes, but I got a beautiful riverside hotel room with a balcony and pool in the old town for less than half the price - but obviously no socialising! Nevertheless, comfy and I slept well.

After travelling 60 countries, this was the most social and overall best hostel experience. Will and Ly has done and are doing an incredible job!

The hostel is really cozy and the atmosphere is nice. The staff was warm and attentive. The private room was as pictured, big comfy bed and perfect for a few nights stay. Common bathrooms were always clean and the showers were great.

My only criticism (and one that made my stay unpleasant for me personally)is that my room had a very damp, mouldy smell. I am quite sensitive to mould, however. I talked to someone in another private room and they said the same thing. I don't know if that applies to the dorms as well. After I left I found my clothes smelling and had to wash everything. There was no visible mould but the smell is unmistakable. I'm mentioning this because personally I do my best to avoid any rooms with signs of mould because I get symptoms very fast. If you're not that sensitive, ignore this part.

Kleinschalig met een relaxte en persoonlijke sfeer, heel goed onderhouden en schoon. Fijn zwembad, goed eten, goede hulp bij het organiseren van uitjes of vervoer en elke avond een activiteit waar je aan deel kan nemen. Locatie is heel rustig, nog geen 10 minuten lopen van het strand en met een taxi zo in old town. Heel fijn verblijf gehad, kan het aanraden!

I loved my stay here. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. Great mattress, good food, clean and lovely vibe.

Staff members were super helpful and friendly, the whole hostel had a really nice chill atmosphere. Also had a great bar which provided good food and coffee. Great for backpackers of all ages. Will definitely be back one day ! Thank you Wanderlust !

Random chats about cooking and ping pong skills were a nice launch from a lazy morning to a busy day. Lots of trips offered for good prices here. Owners do yoga and ice baths as a hostel internal thing on a regular basis which is amazing. Generally really helpful and friendly staff. The owner thinks he‘s really funny … realistically he‘s got 1 good joke out of 5.

Can‘t complain about nothing

Czysto, wygodne materace, organizacja wspólnych wyjść, wspaniali właściciele, pyszne jedzonko, można wypożyczyć rower jak i skuter, kupić bilety na fajne atrakcje na miejscu, do plaży 10 minut na piechotę. Cudowne pieski i ludzie, polecam z całego serca

Located 100 meters away from the beach and 1.5 km away from the Tra que veggie garden.. good choice for beach lovers .. surf boards were also provided.

Sehr nettes Familienunternehmen, toller Pool und sehr leckeres gesundes Essen. Alles wurde jeden Tag geputzt, deshalb hat sich der Aufenthalt sehr clean angefüllt. Ich bin sogar zwei mal her gekommen, da es mir beim ersten mal so gut gefallen hat. Man kann dort Yoga Matten und Surfbretter ausleihen. Dazu gibt es ab und zu Movie Nights auf einer großen Leinwand.

Very warm welcome by the couple who run the place. The tropical vibe is very well braught. Tidy place, the pool area is very nice. Excellent menu and great coffee. The beds were of good quality. Also the distance to the beach and little bars and shops is perfect. A lot of excursions to choose form! I would definitely consider going back.

I had a fantastic stay here in Hoi An. Ly do and will were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere was very welcoming and made it easy to feel at home right away. Everything was clean, well-organized, and ran smoothly. I really appreciated how comfortable and relaxed the whole place felt.

Die Unterkunft hatte eine tolle Ausstattung Pool, Eisbad und man konnte sich sogar Roller und Räder ausleihen. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau haben mir ein sehr herzliches Gefühl und allgemein habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie halfen mir sowohl bei den Tipps für die Zeit in Hoi an, als auch für die Weiterreise. Beim nächsten Mal will ich sicher wieder kommen!

A little bit more on the expensive side compared to homestays, but worth it. Sheets and towles were quite worn.

Gorgeous hostel, seems like new facilities. Very clean. Most comfortable bed with curtains. You get given a leaflet with recommendations of where to eat, what to do and what to see. Also with their family discounts. Great location short walk to restaurants and beach. 40 mins walk to old town

Les gérants organisent des évènements (repas tous ensemble au resto, film sur écran géant, ...) qui ne dérangent pas ceux qui veulent dormir ou ne pas venir parce que la disposition de l'hôtel amène a ce que ce soit calme. L'emplacement est un peu loin du centre mais en grab, on met 15 minutes donc ça va ! Les gérants sont à l'écoute en cas de besoin. Il y a une piscine, un billard et plein d'espaces pour se poser.

La habitación amplia y agradable. Trato cordial y muy muy amables. Nos ayudaron en cada consulta y reserva de moto y transporte pues no coincidió con la época de inundaciones. La ubicación es cerca de la playa, lo cual le da un encanto y aporta tranquilidad

No nos cambiaron toallas (siendo honestos tampoco lo solicitamos)

Lage nicht am Strand aber auch nicht in der Stadt. Scooter leihen sinnvoll.

Exceptional place all around. Ly and Will managed to create this Oasis that has been by far the best stay in Vietnam and possible ever in a Hostel for me. It’s like a chill social vibe, without this forced party craziness and yet I met more nice people here than anywhere else. They also have a WhatsApp group and organize daily things which you can join if you feel like meeting people. Location is great as well, it’s not even 5 minutes to a clean and super nice beach, and the old town is like 10 mins away by scooter which they also rent out for very little. I stayed in a private room, but the dorms also looked nice for the more budget oriented traveler. Every person I’ve met during my stay there extended staying there, similar to me who stayed a whole 4 days instead of the two originally planned. If you need help booking things or navigating Hoi Ans tailor scene Ly and Will are also of great help and always had an open ear for me.

Beautiful hostel with very kind people ! Very close from the beach so if you’re looking for a peaceful journey this is the place to be. Easy to go in the old town with grab or rental services directly in the hostel ! I recommend it !

Best place I've stayed in Vietnam so far! The owner Will has done a great job with the place, from the facilities to the community vibe. The food was very tasty and the staff were super helpful. Plenty of other solo travellers staying there at the same time and everyone was nice and sociable.

I kept booking extra nights so that should say it all. Food is good and all the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble 😄 if in the area again will definitely return

I paid a lot of money to stay at the hostel and hope to meet people.. I actually paid more than I paid the Whndam hotel Gardes which has en-suite bathrooms, sauna , steam room,big pool, gym. 2 m long bath tube and balcony’s and room service. And a huge free breakfast. Unfortunately, I paid a relatively huge amount to get a small room with two single bed put together which separate in my sleep. Mirror and desk very small and not fit for purpose and ad bad quality I also work up a few times a nice which a cockroach on my back, I saw it in the morning and it looked 4 inches long. And got red marks everywhere. Gross. The expensive room also comes with a share bathroom about 59 metres away which is used by the dorms, my room also stank of damp,!l the put a candle on but no luck . Internet booster also didn’t work in my room. Really not with it.. can get so much more for money not far bar. I’m paying less not and have a beautiful pool overlooking the rice fields, a room twice the seize at least with a balcony also ad views to die for.

The private double room was overpriced. Very basic room with just a small window so felt a bit prison-ish when it rained and I wanted to spend more time chilling in the room. Stayed somewhere else nearby and liked it a lot more, and it was cheaper for a much nicer room with en suite.

Not sure where to begin but I love all about this hostel. So, it’s a family business run by a lovely couple Ly and Will and they put so much love and effort into this project. Honestly everything is so professional and very details oriented. The moment when you arrive you get all information about the hostel and the location. So you know all the logistical options and what to do in your free time. The hostel itself has a beautiful design and is full of plants. Looks beautiful, feels so good. The rooms and the bathrooms are very comfy and always clean. I love the pool and the bar area. And the bar offers awesome protein shakes and good food options. Everything is full of flavour and sooo yummy. The most important thing about this place is the vibe. You can easily meet new people but also relax. I feel so genuinely happy here. Thank you so much!! I wish you all the best and I'm sure in the near future you will become one of the best hostel chain! <

Honestly what a place. I wish I could have stayed longer. Will & Ly, thank you so much for being such welcoming and hospitable hosts. I felt so at home even over a short stay, I cannot wait to visit again someday. Couldn't recommend Wanderlast (especially for solo travellers) more - ♥️🇳🇿

Loved my stay at Wanderlust. Really social hostel, which was especially great for me as a solo-traveler. Liked the activities they organised and helped me with some booking arrangements! Rooms were big and the beds even bigger. Loved it and hope to come back one day!

Very nice location near the beach, there is a cafe one block away you need to try! - sunny coffee corner, and the vegan restaurants the hostel recommends were also very good. Also a nice detail of the hostel was the WhatsApp group where people were very active doing social activities or asking any questions like joining in rides together.

The vibe was a bit off in the sense that the hostel wants to make money, I understand it’s a business but it didn’t feel so warm as other Vietnamese stays.

Lovely stay at Wanderlust. The team really make you feel welcome. Nice group activities and hostel dinners organised to meet fellow travellers. Great spot by the beach but worth bearing in mind you need to take a 10 minute grab to get into the main old town. Clean and comfortable bunk beds with good privacy and large bathroom. Perfect place to chill for a few days in the sun and also party with some backpackers if you’re that way inclined. Highly recommended!

Overall, a very comfortable place to stay easy to reach the beach and perfect facilities for relaxation and also socializing if you want. Great menu for lunch or dinner as well.

Bed comfy and locker space ample. Effective aircon. Outside of Hoi An so less busy. Not far from the beach with restaurants and cafes nearby. Handy leaflet on arrival. Communal WhatsApp group if you want to join in with stuff. You can get food and drinks on site.

Upper bunk ladders look tricky. Glad I was on the bottom. Mosquitoes. One toilet in bedroom for 8. Further bathrooms down the end of the complex by the pool.

The hostel is near A Bang beach and close to the Old Town, quite modern with air bnb vibes and there are lots to do around. If the many brochures and options are too confusing just ask the hostel staff to arrange for you, all are super lovely and ready to help! The beddings are super warm and comfy, there’s also the added bonus of security with the overhead and below the bed locker spaces, as well as a really secure password login system to your dorm room. Shower was hot and basic necessities are provided such as shampoo, conditioner, towels and hair dryer.
