Reviewed Jan 25, 2026I stayed at this property for 5 days, and it turned into one of the most magical experiences of my life — I witnessed my first-ever snowfall, watching soft flakes fall from the sky like a dream, which later transformed into a full snowstorm that somehow felt just as divine and unforgettable. Because of the storm, I got stuck there for a few extra days, but the incredible staff made all the difference — they were warm, caring, and helped me in every way possible, making sure I was safe and comfortable the entire time. And the food in that freezing weather? Pure comfort and easily the cherry on top of an already unforgettable stay.

Reviewed May 17, 20251. Property is really nice. I think this hosteller was just behind munnar property. The view was good and you can imagine how good it will look when it’s all covered in snow. 2. Staff was really polite, humble and soft spoken. 3. Location is a bit far from other places, so perfect for people who want to stay away from cities for few days. 4. Rooftop was highlight for me where you can enjoy beer, rum etc.
Few Suggestion: 1. Wifi in last room was not so good. They should install one more router that will solve the problem. Plus network was not in rooms, but i don’t think they can solve that. 2. They should have tie up with some local hikers for small hikes and all which they can offer to customers.

However, there were no windows in the rooms thus they appeared very dark and suffocating

This property is not in Kufri... Its in "Theog".. which is 10 km away from Kufri... After reaching kufri , I just got to know that its not in kufri.... So guys please aware of it... That its just not in Kufri.. and now these days Uncles and families are staying in Hostellers.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2024Easy to reach, beautiful view, clean rooms. The host at the reception Ritu is extremely cheerful and helpful. The view from the balconies is just soo mesmerizing. Extended my stay and I'm definitely coming back again.
Unkept and dirty land right outside the balcony but wouldn't blame the property for it. The guests need to be a little more sensible and not dirty the surroundings.

From the moment of booking there was a flood of messages on booking, E-mails and several messages from 2 different WhatsApp accounts. There was a problem with my card and although it said on my booking confirmation that I can pay on arrival I was called and messaged relentlessly until I paid. Even after the payment was confirmed by a member of staff I got another 8 E-mails, several WhatsApp messages and messages on booking threatening to cancel the booking. When we wanted to check in there was a receptionist but we had to check in through a website and upload all the documents which didn't work well. When we arrived it was snowing but there was no heating inside the room which I find very strange given the temperature in this region. Charge for a heater was 300inr per night and what they brought was as effective as having a hairdryer running. Worst of all was that we had staff enter the room several times without knocking and even after we had locked it they tried to enter with force. I slept with full winter jacket, scarve, gloves and shoes. Worst night of the whole trip.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2024The staff was accommodating. We weren't happy with the room they allotted, so they helped us upgrade to a room with a view, which was great. The food is the same as the other hostellers so good. We asked for an extra blanket as we were cold and they obliged. Overall, it was a good stay. The staff at reception had suggested "Nutri Kulcha" at a nearby cafe, which was amazing.
It's secluded and on the highway. So, if you expect any market or anything you will not find it there. However, there are few utility shops, cafes and dhabas to eat food in case you don't want to eat at Hosteller.
