Reserva Guadalajara - Authentic farm in Cocora Valley

Location was lovely and peaceful, lots of birdlife to see which we loved. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Some hooks for bathroom towels would be useful!

Very easy to get in touch with the owner of the accommodation, he is also extremely helpful. It would have been nice to meet him. It's a good place to relax, the location is perfect for the cocora valley. We really enjoyed our stay.

There was a daily cleaning, but the dead insects stayed behind ;-(

Un séjour exceptionnel ! Nous avons été très, très bien accueillis, avec une véritable sensation d’être comme à la maison. Le cadre est magnifique, paisible et totalement dépaysant. Nous recommandons vivement la randonnée à cheval sur les terres de la réserve : une expérience exceptionnelle, au cœur d’un environnement incroyable. 🐎🌿 Un grand merci pour l’accueil et ce merveilleux moment, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Nous avons tout aimé : la maison est sublime, la localisation dans les terres, les repas et tout particulièrement l’accueil de Diego très chaleureux ! Nous avons eu la chance de faire les activités proposées dont une balade à cheval mémorable. Un de nos meilleurs souvenirs de Colombie !

La ubicacion, cerca de salento y valle del cocora, el entorno de naturaleza, la atencion de juan fue buena.

El piso en madera hace mucho ruido, en general las instalaciones son antiguas, el ingreso a la finca desde la via principal es destapada y dificil acceso para carros bajos.

Hôtel exceptionnel au calme et très proche de Salento et de la vallée de Cocora. La balade à cheval avec Diego est l’activité de rêve !!!! On parcourt des chemins sur domaine et Diego partage avec gourmandise anecdotes et histoires du pays. Nous avons fait connaissance d’autres voyageurs et échangé, ce qui est très agréable.

The location was very beautiful.

Véritable hacienda entourée de végétation et d’animaux. Jesica est tres agréable et serviable. Nous avons également profité de la sortie à cheval avec Diego et John, c’était formidable.

Diego est un super hôte et son équipe est au top. Mention spécial à la balade à cheval.

Diego is very nice responsive and friendly. The farm is of stunning beauty.

The rugs are not clean the room wasn’t cleaned properly. Breakfast was poor and not tasty . It’s remote from the town so no options. Require a car

Les instalacions son antigues, i la relació qualitat preu és elevada.

La proprietà é una cascina/fattoria autentica in mezzo alla valle Cocora, posto perfetto per staccare dalla città. Diego, il proprietario, é stato molto accomodante con la nostra prenotazione dell’ultimo minuto e ci ha aiutato con la pianificazione delle nostre giornate, consigliandoci hikes e tour del caffè. Punto forte é la bellissima camminata a cavallo nelle terre della proprietà, guidata da Diego, a cui piace spiegare la storia della sua famiglia e condividere la bellezza del posto che ha ereditato.

La ubicación y la tranquilidad del lugar es increíble, realmente si quieres un lugar para descansar y conectar con la naturaleza este es el lugar en el Cocora. Diego y Sandra son súper amables y atentos.

The resort was beautiful, Tami and rocko were great welcomers ( two German Shepards) Jenny was very nice to cook us dinner and welcome us . The next day was someone else and she was very nice as well. Diego was not available due to an emergency. At one point our water turned off, not the biggest deal we didn't need it at that moment. Expensive rides into town but that's how it's got to be I suppose.

Beautiful house in the middle of Cocora valley with very cosy rustic rooms. Beds are super comfortable, everything clean. Super quiet here with nice views. Staff is very nice and we can absolutely recommend the horse riding tour with Don Diego, that was incredible. We also loved the two dogs, Rocco and Kati. We even extended for another night, so totally recommended!

We had a wonderful stay thanks to Diego and his team. We spent three nights there and truly enjoyed every moment. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, the staff incredibly kind, and the surroundings peaceful and immersed in nature. You can enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view, and Salento is just a few minutes away by jeep (Willys). I would highly recommend this place and would definitely choose it again if I return in the future.

Era una finca tradicional, tenía lo necesario y el personal era un encanto, por la mañana ver los animales (caballos y vacas) era un ambiente precioso

La habitación tenía poco espacio para 3 personas y sus maletas, no había espejo de cuerpo completo

Property is very charming

It’s an old wooden house , noisy as you could hear anyone walking around which made it hard to sleep and as they wake up early for breakfast, also it’s hard to sleep in the morning

Las camas eran super cómodas. Tuvimos mucha privacidad en nuestra estancia. El desayuno es bueno y el personal es demasiado agradable y amable.

La ubicación es un poco alejada del pueblo y algunos taxistas no querían llevarnos hasta la puerta, pues el camino de tierra desde la carretera a la entrada está muy descuidado y con muchos baches. Creo que hay que mejorar eso para la estancia de los huéspedes.

Estando con carro propio, la ubicación my buena, entre el pueblo y el valle de Cocora. Diego fue muy amable. Ubicación muy tranquila y pintoresca. Buenos libros sobre Colombia disponibles con fotografías. Juegos de caja y naipes.

Situé au milieu de la vallée . Super pour se retrouver au calme , à 2 pas du centre de Salento . Lors de la sortie à cheval Diego nous a transmis sa passion . Une mention particulière pour John qui l’a assiste lors de la sortie (je ne suis pas sûre qu’il s’appelle comme ça) qui lui aussi a pu nous transmettre sa passion simplement grâce à son attitude avec les vaches et les chevaux .

Hermosa finca: pudimos ver barranquero, colibríes y hasta tucancitos. El lugar es muy tranquilo, perfecto para desconectar. Además, cuentan con agua caliente y servicio de restaurante. Está cerca del Valle de Cocora; se puede llegar en coche privado o, si prefieres, desde la finca te ayudan a organizar el transporte. Queríamos hacer una cabalgata, pero lamentablemente no fue posible por las condiciones climáticas. Por seguridad de los caballos y de las personas la cancelaron, lo cual nos pareció una decisión acertada. Definitivamente es un lugar para volver. Desayuno rico, personal muy amable y Don Diego nos dio excelentes recomendaciones sobre qué hacer en el Eje Cafetero.

La localización y la autenticidad de la experiencia. El host Diego nos trató con mucha amabilidad en todo momento y nos sentimos como en casa. La cabalgata ha sido una experiencia única. El desayuno muy bueno y las vistas aún mejores. Lo recomiendo sin duda y me encantaría repetir!

Diego and his team are great hosts. The reserva is a super peaceful place to stay in Salento. Is in between the valley and the city (about 5 min drive to salento). The breakfast is wonderful. We didn’t get to do the horse tour with Diego as the weather didn’t permit it but if you can go on it! Definitely recommend this beautiful place for your stay in Salento

Absolutely incredible stay! I spent 3 days at Reserva Guadalajara in Cocora Valley and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff is outstanding : always friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. You immediately feel welcomed. The rooms are very comfortable, and the setting is simply breathtaking, surrounded by nature with stunning landscapes all around. A special mention for the horseback riding experience with Diego and Jon truly unforgettable! They are passionate, professional, and made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this place without hesitation. A memorable stay I will never forget. Viva Colombia!

Very traditional, cozy place. Don Diego and the staff Mrs Jenny and Sandra were very welcoming, attentive. Mrs Jenny and Sandra cook amazingly, specially the trout a local dish was delicious. We watched the birds, walked the wood and enjoyed very much our stay.

Location was great, a finca at only 5 minutes away from the little town was nice. We had a great time, it was what we wanted, getting up in the morning & having a cup of coffee with milk from the farm & looking at the mountains was priceless.

The room where we stayed the first 2 nights needs a major upgrade, to the point that we asked to be moved to another room for the next 2 nights.

Expérience inoubliable et authentique, Diego et son équipe ont été des hôtes exceptionnels. Ne manquez pas la balade à cheval : vrai moment de partage avec Diego et Guillermo et très belle découverte de la région. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et les jus changent chaque jour! Les déjeuners sont également très bons! Cadre super reposant!

El desayuno muy bueno y completo y la ubicación es insuperable con la tranquilidad del campo. La atención y amabilidad del personal fue de 10.

El lugar es bonito como alojamiento rural. Un paisaje único.

Las cobijas son bastante pesadas y el sistema de sábanas no se ajusta bien, ya que se corre durante la noche y afecta el descanso. Hoy en día existen opciones de abrigo más modernas y cómodas.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr authentisch und die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wunderschön und das Essen auch sehr lecker!

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Colombia. Reserva Guadalajara is not just accommodation, it is an experience. The owner Diego is a very warm person, and his staff are also very friendly. In addition to the stay, we also took advantage of the horse riding trip and it will definitely be one of the days we will remember the most. Listo Calisto!

The property is very well located, close to Salento and close to many other activities. The place is beautiful, it’s surrounded by pure nature and amazing views. Staff was the best at this property.

Facilities in bedroom and bathroom can be improved, ours looked a bit unkempt for the price.

Amazing location in the Cocora Valley. A lovely property and a great host, Diego. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, with excellent coffee. We took a horse tour with Diego which was scary (up and down a mountain) but amazing.

Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

It is quaint and classic, animals on the property and cute old furniture etc. A spare bathroom outside the rooms and a lovely outdoor dining area.

We stayed end of November and would’ve been very cold at night had it not been for the space heater. The bathroom in our room was a bit outdated as well

We had an amazing stay at this peaceful and authentic farm. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the beautiful porch was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Diego was a fantastic host who truly took care of us throughout our stay. We even spent an entire day at the farm just soaking in the atmosphere. A small tip for future guests: make sure to bring warm clothes, as it can get chilly. Highly recommended!

Es ist eine sehr schöne und authentische Unterkunft für das Gebiet! So ruhig und idyllisch dort. Ein Auto ist von Vorteil, da man etwas abseits von salento wohnt, man kann aber natürlich auch ein Taxi nehmen. Das Highlight war der Reitausflug mit Diego und das Wandern im Cocoratal

De gastvrijheid van de gastheer Diego en de rest van zijn staf was hartverwarmend. Je verblijft op een werkende finca in de vallei, met weids groen uitzicht, en je waant je terug in de tijd. Het paardrijden is echt geweldig, een uitdagende tocht de bergen op en het regenwoud in, en Diego vertelt gepassioneerd over de historie en onderhouden van de finca en de natuur. Je komt helemaal tot rust op de veranda, wij vonden het gebied van La Carbonera echt fantastisch.

The property is in a stunning location and Diego is a warm and welcoming host. The food is delicious and it is simply calming to be there. We recommend going horse riding with Diego!

The room is quite moist and facilitates are basic (which is fine but may not be for everyone).

Diego on huippu majoittaja hän auttaa mielellään asiassa kuin asiassa. Ratsastusretki oli upea ja on erittäin mukava katsoa kuinka hyvin he pitävät huolta hevosistaan. Tila on kauniilla paikalla ja ihanteellinen vierailla Cocora Laaksossa ja Salentossa

Varasin isomman/kalliimman huoneen koska kuvauksessa on vuoristo sekä puutarha näköala mutta kumpikaan ei ollut huoneestani lisämaksun arvoinen jos varaisin uudelleen ottaisin normaalin huoneen. Huoneessa on laite joka tuo huoneeseen lämpöä mutta siellä on silti hieman kylmä öisin.

Merci pour tout, Don Diego ! - Petits déj. et repas délicieux en plus d'être copieux. - Chambres hyper spacieuses avec un lit immense qui permet un parfait repos au calme. - Eau chaude à n'importe quel moment de la journée. - Terrasse relaxante avec hamac, canapé, vue sur les vaches et les chevaux avec le chant des oiseaux. - Service de blanchisserie au top. Meilleur logement sur les 3 semaines passées en Colombie. Je reviendrai pour cette fois-ci participer à la sortie à cheval !
