Very central. We did the smiley Khao sok tour and the meeting point was 2 min by walking away. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was clean

The AC was dripping so the whole room was very damp.

The location is great, close to the van station and right by the best bars and a few stores. Nice staff and very fun affordable and easy to book national park tour! I especially recommend the overnight tour.

The floor between bed and wall has clearly never been vacuumed... But it's easy to ignore so not that big of a deal!

It was good, just a little noisy at night with bikes traveling up and down the main road. To be expected.

Habitaciones muy espaciosas y con bastantes baños y duchas. Buena ubicación. Bar y restaurante en el lugar.

Podrían ofrecer te, café, agua. El acolchado podría estar un poco más limpio. Muchísimo calor en los baños, creo que porque el equipo de aire se encontraba allí.

The beds were super comfy, bathrooms were very clean and the staff are lovely. The location is very convenient as there are lots of restaurants and cafes close by. I booked the day tour through coco (1500 baht + 340 national park fee) and it went very smoothly and was a great way to see the lake.

the property was clean and cool, each room had a private bed, and bathrooms for each wing of the hostel. The overnight lake stay booked through the hostel was fabulous, our tour guide worked so hard to make our stay and it was perfect. it’s basic on the lake yes, but a fabulous experience, made even better by the food served, the activities and the staff. the team at the hostel helped me book transfers and organise my trip so easily.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Hostel war auch sauber. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Essen in der Unterkunft war auch sehr lecker und wurde immer frisch zubereitet.

Die Klimaanlage in den Zimmern war sehr kalt auch beim hochdrehen.

The bunk beds are welded from heavy duty steel and feature a small stair case rather than a ladder: rock solid. The person on the bottom is not at all disturbed by any movement from the neighbour. They are the best bunks I've seen.

Check-in was delayed by 1.5 hours with zero notice (i.e., 1:30pm rather than the advertised and agreed-upon 12:00pm). This was not life changing for me; however, many tour operators offer tours that begin in early afternoon; so if you had planned on checking in, showering after a long sweaty bus ride, and joining a tour, you might be disappointed.

Localisation pratique.

Le personnel est juste déplorable. Ils sont profondément méchants et impolis. Ils ont parlé mal sur moi en Thaï DEVANT MOI en pensant que je ne comprendrais pas. Ils prennent tout le monde de haut et les regardent mal. Si vous n’aimez pas travailler là, trouvez un autre job au lieu de gâcher la bonne humeur des gens qui viennent à Khao Sok pour passer un agréable moment. J’avais booké l’excursion 2 jours 1 nuit et j’ai changé pour juste faire une journée car ils m’ont gâché mon mood et leur organisation n’est pas claire ni professionnelle. Sachez qu’ils demandent 2700 bath mais ils ne précisent nulle part que ce sont des bungalows de 3 à 4 personnes, alors que c’est écrit qu’il y aura des salles de bain partagées mais pas les chambres.

Great jumping off point for Khao Sok National Park. Beds had 2 plugs and a light, plenty of bathrooms, spacious rooms.

Could hear loud street music/noise at night. Also, this was not about the hostel itself, but I booked my floating bungalows trip through them and really did not like it. The guide hardly told us anything, nobody at the bungalows was friendly, the mats we had to sleep on were rock hard, there wasn’t enough food, the boat broke down twice on the way to the bungalows… definitely would not recommend. The whole thing felt very poorly organized.

It was clean, cheap and comfy. What else do you want out of a hostel?

Good place to stay for one night

Kamer was netjes en schoon. Bed lag prima en wel fijn dat er grote trap in het midden was om naar bovenste bed te gaan. Douche en wc schoon en douche goed straal en warm. Via het hostel kan je tours en transport boeken. Toen ik terug kwam van de Tour mocht ik ook daar nog even douchen, dat was erg fijn. Toen ik aankwam bij de bushalte was er ook gratis transport naar coco, fijne verassing

De kamer was enorm gehorig. Je ligt direct aan de weg waardoor het lijkt dat je op straat slaapt. Ook staan er tafels buiten voor de deur om te ‘chillen’ maar dit hoor je heel goed als je op de kamer bent dus erg rustig is het niet.

Well managed and efficiently run hostel with lots of helpful staff. Bunks had curtain, light, charging plugs and comfortable matresses

Very clean property with good air conditioning and clean and spacious bathrooms. Beds were comfortable with lots of room for luggage storage and good quality curtains.

Potentially got food poisoning from the restaurant attached to the hostel. Heads up that they only accept Cash.

Very clean and comfy, nice bedrooms with a lot of space and many clean bathrooms with good showers. Also a nice cafeteria downstairs with very affordable food such as sweet bakery and delicious ice cream, as well as very cheap softdrinks.

BEWARE BED BUGS!!! There’s so many reviews about bed bugs on google and I wish I had listened. Check the google reviews before staying here!! It does not seem like they wish to do anything to fix the problem. They did refund me for the night which was nice but when I brought up how it’s been an on going issue, they shrugged it off and said there’s not much the cleaners can do. It’s very clear they are aware of the issue but don’t care to fix it since most people only stay for one night anyways. It’s too bad bc the hostel has a lot of potential- it seems clean to the naked eye until you check your sheets and see the infestations.

Such a comfortable hostel! Staff were super accommodating and helped organise a tour into the national park and floating bungalows. We could store our bags there while on the tour. They also let us shower when we came back the following day! The bakery attached also helped with socialising.

The common area / restaurant place. The staff seemed very informed. Really clear and enjoyable experience for the national park.

Bit of a bed bug scare - but all was okay. None were there. A few people I met in my room had initially booked on to the tour that included the night safari ( which meant their first night accom in hostel was included in the price ) because of the weather and them being tired they decided not to go meaning they were refunded 800 bhat. Which made their accommodation and national park stay cheaper, which I didn’t think seemed fair.

Fantastic hostel Spotless

The room was spotless and the staff were exceptionally helpful with booking the lake tour and onward travel. The bakery was great to have breakfast on site.

Beds are ok, but I didn’t enjoy the hostel itself. Lockers are very small (small backpack only) and very dirty. The bathrooms are very small for the amount of people. The staff wasn’t very helpful because they don’t understand a lot of English. You have to pay in cash and have to leave cash deposits, so bring money with you. Book your transports through 12goAsia, there things are way more expensive. The one day lake tour was very good, definitely recommend. The cafe next to the hostel which belongs to the hostel has ok breakfast and meals, beware that kitchen closes very early

The bed was like a small room really, being a really large single bed (not a bunkbed) with curtains and a cupboard. It was very comfortable as well. The terrace was a nice place to hang out. All areas were cleaned regularly except the coffee table at the terrace

The AC was set too cold. Room door beeped loudly when you read the card. Staff was not very friendly. Coffee and laundry were more expensive than some other places

I woke up in the middle of 5 bed bugs and now my whole body is a red itchy pimple, and currently experiencing an allergic reaction.

Beds were really comfortable with a lot of storage space, both inside the cubicle and underneath the bed. AC worked really well. Location was pretty good. Most of the staff were friendly.

One staff member was very unhelpful and unfriendly. Bakery was terrible, maybe we got it on an off day but the croissants were clearly not fresh from that morning, as they tasted stale. Not worth the hype. Our roommates were smoking weed almost non-stop and they really smelled up the room to the point it was nauseating, we wish the hostel had some regulations about that. Showers and toilets were not maintained properly. We booked the Khao Sok lake tour through this hostel, and while the park was stunning the tour itself was a bit of a let down. yBoats were very tightly packed for the 1 hour journey to and from the huts. Most of the huts were shared and not private, and extremely small. We also wished we were told beforehand that all swimming must be done with lifejackets on, as this somewhat dimmed the experience for us. The tour as a whole was very “backpacker-y”, there must’ve been 50+ people all staying on the same lake accommodation. Food was mediocre. If we did it again, we wouldn’t book through Coco, but instead ask around for a better option.

I really enjoyed the overnight lake tour offered by the hostel, but I highly recommend reading google reviews about it so you know what to expect, as the advertisements might paint an inaccurate picture.

Khao Sok , the Lake let down! Krai Son Lake House Nearly 3000 Baht and the only activity you do is swimming in the lake! Overpriced tourist trap and a total waste of time. There are much better places to go in Thailand, this has been one of the biggest let downs of my trip. I have visited other national parks and this place is the worst by far, over tourism and just scammy as you don't do half the activities listed in the tour package. It's 2,500 Baht pluse 340 Baht entrance fees, it is such a rip off for the bad service you get. The guides don't care at all it's just about making money We were told we would go kayaking, 70 people at the bungalows and only 3 kayaks! So we couldn't kayak! We were told we were going on a hike, it was a muddy walk up and hill and back down, no viewpoint no waterfall, nothing! To make it even worse All the boats set off at the same time too so we had 70 people all queuing to walk. The boat safari was just a slow drive back to the bungalows after the hike (no wildlife spotting at all) The night safari didn't happen! And nothing to do on a night The morning boat trip, 6.45am but were told there would be tea and coffee there was no tea of coffee, the safari itself was pointless just slowly driving around by the bungalows not seeing anything (apparently there are elephants and wildlife just not near this place) The cave trip is a 30 second walk through Pra Kay Petch Cave. (This is a quick stop on the way to the pier) The food rations were pitiful we were left hungry. In the 2d 1n tour you don't spend long at the lake bungalows, we arrived at 1pm and left at 8.45am This terrible experience is booked through several hostels: Coco hostel Jungle hostel Khao Sok Inn Riverside

1. Excellent location, and very responsive staff. Received a reply on all of my communications before my arrival - makes travelers relieved. I especially appreciate "Yuuyie" for her kindness - very responsive and attentive to any questions for the tour. Per her service, I felt comfortable and safe during my journey with Coco. 2. Their reponsivness allowed me to book for a 1 day group jungle tour in advance at a very reasonable price, cheow lan lake included. 2. Almost all agencies (minivan cars /etc) know where Coco is - making it easier for travel. I actually booked Coco because my pickup van had Coco in the area saying I can only book there if I am a Coco guest. 3. Lots of europeans guests - backpack travelers. Because there were many foreigner guests I felt safe. 4. ***They offer a temporary luggage store service for those who have commute vans after 11am. My van was 1pm, and checkout was til 11am. Thx to their service I enjoyed a nice light walk in the area after checkout.

The bed, though, is not as new and clean - cant expect this from a hostel this price. But overall, I feel their service value is very more worth at a nice price ! (Like their motto, nice service at a nice price)

Very nice and mattresses extremely comfy.

Amazing bed and size of pod for luggage and mattress. With plugs and light. Great bathroom facilities with 4 showers and 2 toilets for 6 people. Strongly recommend due to the tours they provide as well as the staffs help.
