Hostel Tikka

Wir hatten drei wundervolle Tage dort. Das war mein erstes Mal in einem Hostel und ich war wirklich sehr zufrieden. Wir sind viel zu früh angereist und durften trotzdem dank der lieben Besitzerin unser Zimmer früher beziehen. Mir hat der Charme von diesem Häuschen gefallen (besonders mit der Schneelandschaft) und die Lage war optimal für uns. Wir waren so wandereifrig dass wir einfach vom Flughafen und ins Santa Village gelaufen sind. Außerdem gibt es direkt nebenan einen Supermarkt wo man jeden Morgen Kaffee bekommen hat und sich Frühstück besorgen konnte. Wir haben dann ganz gemütlich in der Küche morgens und abends gegessen. War wirklich nett :)

Es ist manchmal dann nur so sauber wie es eben die Gäste hinterlassen. Jedes Zimmer hat sein eigenes Abteil im Kühlschrank und da lassen halt Leute teilweise einfach ihren Kram vergammeln etc. Oder wischen den Tisch nach dem Essen nicht ordentlich. Aber mich stört es nicht so, ich mach’s dann weg und fertig. Wäre aber schön wenn da alle mehr drauf achten würden.

O Lugar é maravilhoso com quartos privativos e um ótimo custo beneficio. Cozinha bem equipada e um mercado ao lado onde você pode comprar as coisas pra comer e economizar. Logo no primeiro dia peguei a aurora boreal bem de frente pois fica um pouco mais afastado das luzes da cidade. Valeu muito!

K Mart supermarket is just next door and is open from 7 am to 10 pm. Wifi speed is good.

It is better to stay in Rovaniemi rather than stay in Santa Claus Village.

Thank you very much for the wonderful room. Simple, clean. Has everything you need. 30 minutes walk to the airport. Grocery store nearby. Santa Claus residence is also nearby. Quiet and peaceful.

The hostel is clean and comfortable to stay. They allow to check in early as we reached by flight early. With kitchen. Toilets are more than enough for all the guest. K market just next to the hotel. 1.7km to Santa Claus village.

Hay un solo baño para todos los huesped. Pero es algo muy común de Europa

Everything was perfect! We had a double bedroom which was equipped with a small toilet. Perfect for what we needed. Facilities are spot on and the hostel is equipped with two bathrooms and two huge showers which are both superclean. Additionally the hostel is provided with a kitchen area super clean as well and allocated space for each room in the fridge. Super convenient the shop next to the hostel (Closing time 22:00) The hostel is located about 8km out of the centre of Rovaniemi but it can easily reached via bus (the bus stop is just outside the hostel on the right) or via uber. Santa's village can be easily reached within 20 min walking through nature! Excellent value for money!

The hostel is clean, quiet, and close to shops and the airport. We used UBER, which wasn't a big deal. I recommend 👌 👏

La ubicacion es excelente, solo a media hora caminando a Santa Claus Villa.

Gut zum Flughafen gelegen

Sind mitten in der Nacht angereist und haben uns am nächsten Tag unser Mietauto geholt. - sehr gute Nähe zum Flughafen war alles kein Problem (man bekommt einen Türcode) Sehr nah am Flughafen 6min mit dem Auto Nebenan ist ein kleiner Supermarkt Hatten das Zimmer 7 mit eigenem WC Einfach aber super für eine Nacht

Petite auberge de jeunesse de 6 chambres pratique et confortable à 20 mn à pied du village de Santa Claus. Un supermarché juste à côté, très pratique. Mais il faut avoir une voiture car elle est située assez loin de Rovaniemi. Des bus passent à proximité. Assez chère en saison hivernale pour une auberge.

Absence de consignes de bagages et aucune à proximité. Sans voiture assez laborieux de rejoindre le centre.

Très bon hôtel ! Nous devions juste trouver un endroit où dormir car notre vol décollait vers 5 heures du matin. Cet endroit était parfait pour une nuit en attendant notre vol. L'entrée autonome était très pratique.

Il y a tout de même pas mal de chambre dans cet Hostel (8). Nous entendions les personnes entrer dans leur logement et nous les entendions même regarder leur vidéos. Ce n'était donc pas bien insonorisé.

Bardzo przyzwoity hostel, samodzielny check in i check out. Czystośc utrzymywana przez pracowników codziennie oznaczała że nawet jeśli niektórzy goście nie pilnowali porządku przestrzenie wspólne byly czyste. Bardzo miłe było to że pozwolono nam zostać po godziznie naszego wymeldowania ponieważ czekaliśmy na autobus

Dość trudny dostęp do centrum Rovaniemi Dość zimno w przestrzeniach wspólnych Bardzo suche powietrze (oczywiście normalne przy ogrzewaniu w zimę)

Very good location, close to the airport and Santa's village, and also the bus stop to get to the city center! everything was perfect, the kitchen has everything you could need!

Blisko do lotniska i do wioski. Przeszliśmy pięknie oświetloną trasą na pieszo. Wspaniałe że sklep jest tuż obok.

The location is excellent — a 30-minute walk to Santa Claus Village and just 1 minute to the supermarket. It was very warm inside in case when outside -20. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals. The place was perfectly clean.

Good enough for a night or two. Clean and well kept with plenty of kitchen facilities. There's many rooms and two shared bathrooms and showers. Rooms close to the kitchen you can hear some noise from the guests. A bit pricey for my standards but enjoyed it.

Het is mooier dan de foto’s en de dame is echt uiterst gastvrij❤️. We mochten onze bagage langer laten staan en kregen de kamer uitzonderlijk langer dan voorzien omdat ze vrij was. Dankjewel

Muy cómodo, limpio, calefacción, cerca del aeropuerto en uber 10€ si es invierno no se puede caminar hasta papá Noel pero se puede tomar uber es cerca.

Si quieres más actividades desde el centro , no es recomendable a no ser que tengas auto.

The hostel was good and the location was great

El barrio es tranquilo y tiene accesibilidad con el aeropuerto y Santa Claus Village. Con el centro, el bus 8 y 10 te dejan en 30 minutos. Al lado, justo, tiene un supermercado bien completo y económico. La habitación era espaciosa y cómoda, con calefacción y buenos colchones y almohadas. Los baños enormes y la presión de agua funcionaba perfecto. Se podía disfrutar de la naturaleza allí mismo. Excelente, volveríamos sin dudas!!

Las paredes son algo finas y los demás huéspedes eran algo ruidosos. Nos pasó en 3 ocasiones encontrar el secador de pelo de servicio en el baño encendido, sin nadie que lo esté usando, lo cual nos resultaba peligroso e ilógico, ya que debía ser encendido y apagado manualmente. Alguien debe haberlo utilizado y dejado funcionando!! Fuera de eso, todo excelente!!

I stayed in Hostel Tikka with a friend for three nights in early December 2025. We arrived unexpectedly early and Tanja very kindly showed up early to set up our room for us. The hostel was wonderful - we had a room with two single beds, a desk, and a place to hang our coats. There are two bathrooms and two showers, both of which were kept very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped, with ample fridge space. We were initially worried that the hostel was too far from the centre of Rovaniemi, but were very pleased to find that it is immediately next to a well-stocked supermarket and a 15 minute walk from the Santa Claus Village (a common pickup spot for activities in and around Rovaniemi) as well as nearby to beautiful hikes and lookouts. The best stuff to do in Rovaniemi is around there anyway. MUST RECOMMEND: Syvasenvaaran Torni, a lookout very nearby the hostel with panoramic views of Rovaniemi. Ubers are surprisingly affordable in Rovaniemi. We would absolutely stay again.

We could occasionally hear people in neighbouring rooms / common areas, but it was very manageable (I am a somewhat light sleeper and didn't find that it was a problem at all).

Great little hostel with only 6 or 7 rooms, so we felt comfortable, like we were in someone’s home. Communication with the host was easy, and everything went smoothly. The rooms are cozy and comfortable—the vibe is much better than the photos on Booking. The bathroom and shower were clean and never crowded. The kitchen was well equipped, with a fridge that has a dedicated compartment for each room.

It was clean and the location was ideal. It’s not in the town centre but only a short ride by taxi or bus away. Santa Village and airport are even closer. The communication went smoothly and it actually felt like our home in Lapland for a few days. There is 7 rooms located in the hostel but all guests have been amazing and respected everyone’s privacy etc.

Hostel Tikka liegt im Winter in einer schönen Landschaft, auch der Sipermarkt nebenan ist praktisch. Die Küche ist ganz gut eingerichtet und es war meist sauber.

Das Bett war nicht all zu bequem und leider waren auch die Wände sehr dünn, sodass das Schnarchen von nebenan sehr gut zu hören war. Da es für alle zusammen nur eine Toilette gibt, konnte es schonmal eng werden.

Internet was very low. Some quest should understand that kitchen is not only for them own ! And they should give space to others!

Muy buena ubicación, solo a media hora de Santa Claus Village, cerca del aeropuerto y del centro. Hay un supermercado al lado por lo que es muy práctico. El personal es muy atento y todo está bien cuidado y limpio. La cocina está muy completa, no echamos en falta nada.

Las paredes son muy finas y si tienes mala suerte con los “vecinos” pueden llegar a molestarte a ciertas horas.

視察のせいではありませんが、隣のスーパーマーケットが、クリスマスイブだったため早々に店じまいしていて困りました。ホステルでもインフォメーションがあれば、備えができたのに、と思いました。

It was very near Rovaniemi. The room was comfy and warm with enough space for two of us.

The staff was a bit, cold? They helped us yet they felt distant and a bit rude. Maybe it's part of a cultural clash. We were fine during the first few days using the shared bathroom and all but after that some guests were very dirty and noisy. Maybe something could've done about that.

Das Hostel ist super gelegen, zu Fuß ca. 30 Minuten zum Santa Claus Village. Supermarkt ist direkt hinter dem Hostel und gegenüber nochmal 2 Busshaltestellen, die einen direkt nach Rovaniemi ins Zentrum bringen. Das Hostel ist sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen 😊

A bit far from city center. There is a bus stop just outside the building, but during weekends and in the afternoons there are limited number of buses.

A cozinha permite fazer as refeições de forma tranquila, o supermercado mesmo ao lado dá muito jeito. O espaço potencia o convívio entre hóspedes, muito agradável. Tudo limpo.

Sobre o alojamento: nada, gostei de tudo. Outros: Pena o serviço de bus não ser muito certo e não ter mais linhas até mais tarde.

It was clean, tidy, and comfortable, offering great value for money and located in a perfect spot. The bus stop is right in front of the house, with the shop behind it, and the area is surrounded by beautiful nature, just a 20-minute walk to Santa Village.

Perhaps they should offer storage for luggage in case of a late flight.
