I really liked the fact that we went so well along with everyone there. And im not only talking about other tourists staying there. I mostly mean the workers and the volunteers. They were so kind and warm I really felt at home. They also taught and helped me make my first Tajine. And since we are already talking avout the food - the breakfast was AMAZING. They cook so good that I could not stop eating.

The kitchen was a little messy, but I think this is normal at hostels.

I enjoyed everything about my stay at the hostel.The activities were great, the atmosphere was amazing, and the staff are honestly the best part of this place. They are so friendly and welcoming that they are the main reason I would want to come back again and again.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. The only bad thing about this hostel is having to say goodbye.

The location is the only thing I liked about this property. It’s near the main road and close to restaurants, shops, cafés, and everything you need.

The whole experience was very bad. Right when I arrived, there was no one to check me in. I basically walked in, left my luggage at the door, and went upstairs looking for someone to talk to. The fact that anyone can simply walk in is already an issue. The reception is on the rooftop. I paid and went to my dorm, but the bed wasn’t even ready, despite being told I could check in early. That felt like very poor management. I left my luggage and went for a walk, then came back later. The cleanliness was the biggest problem. The sheets looked dirty, with visible stains, and I honestly questioned whether the covers were changed between guests. Later, I wanted to take a shower, but people were leaving dirty clothes everywhere, including on the toilet flush panel. At one point, someone had left their underwear directly on top of the flush button. Honestly, it was disgusting. I booked three nights but left after only two. The hostel looks nice in pictures, but the reality is very different. I honestly don’t understand how this place has a 9 rating. Cleanliness alone should bring it down to a 5 at best.

Great hostel! They offer everything everything you need for a great stay - great breakfast, dinner if you want and some extra activities, as well as surfing boards. The crew is helpful and funny and I felt there at home very quickly. As well there is a fire place on amazing rooftop with great view and place for yoga practice. If you search for a place that you will feel good in - you just found it.

I liked the first week of my stay here, unfortunately, the rudeness and awkwardness of the owner completely ruined my trip and my perception of this hostel. I have been to Tamraght 6 times before and always wanted to stay here, and we were treated like filth.

The owner was incredibly rude to my boyfriend and kicked him out because he is Moroccan. He spoke rudely about myself saying I was a drunk even though I haven’t touched alcohol in 5 years. He kicked my boyfriend out at 11pm which meant I was not going to stay there, leaving me with no place to stay and having to find somewhere super late. He told my boyfriend to leave and to tell me that “he has to go because he has something to do”, and was talking about me as if I was some sort of prostitute. Obviously my boyfriend tells me everything, and the owner was embarrassed to discover that I found out about the conversation. Why he didn’t talk to me directly about this either I have no idea. I sense a lot of jealousy. My boyfriend had greeted them when he met them and gave his ID and they told him it was fine for him to be there. And we are a kind couple who makes no mess and no noise. They did not like it when he stays in my room, saying it will cause them trouble with the police. Even though we have spoken to the police directly about this before (at a previous hostel) and they told us to continue with our stay as we are fine + planning to get married. I messaged them numerous times on my arrival day asking to have dinner at the hostel as I would be arriving late, no response. They say breakfast is to be served at 9:30am but it was late every single morning, with it being served from 10 - 10:30am with no warning. So people could not efficiently plan their day or some guests started their day with no breakfast at all because of this. Incredibly unreliable owner/manager who wakes up late every day and has no care in the world about the guests having their breakfast on time. The surfboards were not in good condition. Someone I met at the hostel had to spend 40 minutes de-waxing one of the boards he rented from the hostel just so that he could wax it again properly. It took time out of our day when we just wanted to rent the board and go but could not.

Ich bin so froh, dass ich mich für dieses Hostel entschieden haben - es war eine richtig schöne Woche. Durch das gemeinsame Frühstück und Abendessen auf der Dachterrasse kommt man super leicht mit anderen Leuten ins Gespräch und kann zusätzlich noch gemeinsame Aktivitäten wie Surf lessons, Yoga oder andere Ausflüge buchen. Das Personal war auch super herzlich. Ich habe immer noch Kontakt mit einigen Leuten, die ich dort kennengelernt habe und würde beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Tamraght/Taghazout wieder ins Lunar Surf House.

Lunar vibe is exeptional

Das Lunar Surf House ist ein ganz besonderer Ort mit sehr freundlichen Menschen und der schönsten Dachterrasse. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und sehr lecker, ebenso wie das Abendessen. Wir haben uns direkt zu Hause gefühlt und planen schon unsere Rückkehr!

My room faced the road which was a little noisy with dogs and traffic throughout the night.

Tout était super ! Le dortoir était très propre et spacieux, les sanitaires aussi. Les parties communes et le rooftop sont très agréables. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et le repas du soir aussi. Le staff est adorable et toujours prêt à aider si besoin. J'ai passé un super séjour et je reviendrai ici si je repasse à Tamraght !

Das beste Hostel, in dem ich je war. Super nette Leute und auch einfach eine tolle Atmosphäre. Alle sind offen und gut gelaunt. Ob surfen, in andere Orte fahren oder einfach nur chillen, das ist der perfekte Ort.

Everything, this is my 3rd visit in 3 years in Morocco, at this point Lunar surf is home away from home. Can highly recommend and also always very nice to see all the people coming back each year to Lunar. That says a lot about the place itself. Thank you for making me feel like at home guys🙏

La struttura è bellissima una vera casa Marocchina, ti sembra di essere accolto da una famiglia del posto!

I liked how the rooms were cosy. The breakfast was delicious. The town of Tamraght is by the beach but it's a little walk down there, say 10 min of you're bringing a board. Lots of places to eat in the area. I loved the rooftop terrace. The cheap rentals are also a plus.

The bathroom was kept clean, however the moisture meant that the ceiling was often dripping with water and the door was damaged.

Le petit déj un peu trop tardif à 9h30 Trop tard pour profiter de la matinée en excursion ou en surf Et le repas du soir pareil trop tard à 20h30 l'hiver . Du coup on allé manger au coucher de soleil à 18h30 19h en bord de mer Peut-être adapter les horaires en fonction de la saison et de l'ensoleillement Tout le reste au top !

Really nice! The bedroom are spacious; the beds are also comfortable! Roof top is nice and it has a very good vibe; not just superficially—for real.

Property had beautiful decor, I loved the attention to detail. Very comfy. Cute cat. Excellent shower. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us.

The roof was a bit dirty with cigarette butts.

The walls of the rooms are very thin, so better bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper :D

Great location, lovely roof terrace, helpful host, nicely decorated, great breakfast. A nice social atmosphere at breakfast too before everyone goes out to enjoy their day

I signed up for a dinner on my first night in order to meet people (assuming other guests would also eat here) but didn’t know that I was the only one who had. I waited 15 mins after the dinner time and then asked. The host said he forgot to let me know he hadn’t ordered it, and instead of having a nice social meal with others I ended up going to a restaurant, eating much later and sitting on my own.

El desayuno es increíble. La comida que ofrecen en general. La atención es estupenda. Son super majos y atentos y muy respetuosos. Quedamos todos encantados con el hostel.

I have visited Lunar Surf House several times over the years, and the lure it has on me is nothing short of magical. I always leave feeling revitalised and wanting to return, a feeling shared by many guests who find themselves coming back again and again. The beauty of this hostel is that it is owned and run by Moroccans who truly embody the country’s hospitality. Whatever your age or background, you immediately feel part of a family. Meals are shared, the living spaces bring everyone together, and the outdoor experiences create a sense of community that is hard to find elsewhere. You never feel restricted here; instead, you feel completely free and cared for, with everything you need at hand. Even if you saw nothing of Morocco outside the hostel, you would leave feeling fulfilled. The breakfasts and dinners are fresh, wholesome and satisfying, and the hostel offers something for everyone: day trips, desert excursions, surfing, yoga, or simply a peaceful space to work and unwind.

My only feedback would be regarding the food variety and the property’s overall upkeep. The meals are hearty but could benefit from a little more variation, as they felt more diverse in the past. Some of the plants, carpets and décor are beginning to deteriorate, and the hostel would really benefit from a refresh, especially small touches like signage. With a bit more love and attention to the aesthetic details, this place could be nothing short of perfect.

Pulizia non impeccabile, ma comunque niente di esagerato. Per raggiungere la spiaggia più vicina occorre fare 10/15 a piedi oppure prendere l’auto (offrono anche servizio navetta).

Un délice ! - Le couscous du vendredi (dommage qu'il n'y en ait pas tous les jours) - l'équipe de Lunar est super chaleureuse et disponible pour faire de notre séjour un super moment - les diversités des activités proposées - cours de yoga (rapport qualité/prix au top. La nouvelle prof est géniale) - localisation : proche de l'avenue principale, à moins de 10min à pied des plages, à proximté de cafés, restaurants, superettes,...Tout ce dont vous avez besoin est à porté de main - le calme (bien que proche de l'avenue principale, Lunar est à l'abri du bruit). Parfait si vous recherchez un lieu cocoon pour recharger vos batteries

Nice terrace to chill and good breakfast.

The surf house lacked a bit of organization. The staff is friendly and kind but a bit absent in organizing classes and trips. Our room was big but a bit stinky.

超级棒！本来打算去沙漠的，到一半怀念这里立刻掉头又来了嘿嘿。每个人都很友好；早饭丰盛，amlou香惨了；我朋友甚至学会了做北非蛋！超级推荐！

Very chill people and vibe. We could rent boards and wetsuits no problem. Verrrrry great breakfast, it was amazing and the best breakfast we had in marocco. The accommodation was very cute and nicely decorated with a great roof terrace/top.

The comfortable atmosphere was created almost immediately thanks to the wonderful staff at Lunar. A seamless stay including surfing, amazing meals, epic day trips and lots of good conversations. I will totally be back!

Die Unterkunft war unfassbar toll eingerichtet und die Stimmung auf der Dachterasse abends ist der Hammer. Die surfstunden für Anfänger könnten besser sein(mehr Erklärung & Anleitung)

Alles in allem war es sauber. Nur in einer Toilette unten sollte wirklich dringend mal wieder geputzt werden.
