This property is so beautiful. The swimming is nice and well maintained. The area many bungalows and they have all a little patio where you can hang out . The owner was so kind and gave us some tips on what to do in the area.

We really loved this beautiful place! It was great to start our holiday here and our kids (7 and 11) especially liked the animals and all the nice places to walk/sit. Is is really relaxed and peaceful and all the people are very friendly. The pool is great! The driver was waiting for us at the airport and it was a smooth ride and warm welcome! Definitely recommend staying here!

Het is een prachtige plek, de tuin is mooi Angele he met veel Privacy. Het zwembad is sublime, zeker als je er ´savonds alleen in kan zwemmen, het is heerlijk warm en je ziet vuurvliegjesrond dwarrelen in de tuin. De maaltijden zijn heerlijk bereid. Vriendelijke gastheer die vooruithelpt met planning van activiteiten. Een aanrader!

Vriendelijk personeel, kleinschalige opzet met 12 cabana’s in een mooie tuin. Een oase van rust in het buurtje met de bijnaam ‘little Rome’ vlakbij het drukke Negombo.

Heerlijke tuin en terras bij de bungalow. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en je kan de hele dag koud water tappen. Erg relaxed om rustig te landen in Sri Lanka.

Príjemný hotel najmä na krátky pobyt pred alebo po lete. Personál aj majiteľ boli naozaj milí a ochotní, cítili sme sa vítaní. Jedlo nás milo prekvapilo – bolo chutné a našli sa aj európske jedlá, čo veľmi potešilo našu malú dcérku. Veľký bonus bol čistý bazén, pri ktorom sa dcérka vedela dlho zahrať (aj vďaka hračkám, aj keď už majú niečo za sebou 🙂). Super bola aj prítomnosť zvieratiek v areáli – psy, korytnačky či ryby boli pre ňu veľká atrakcia.

Hotel je skôr na pokojné „zastavenie sa“, keďže je dosť odľahlý a nedá sa veľmi ísť niekam pešo. Občas vypadla elektrina a WiFi bola slabšia, najmä pri chatkách. Večer treba rátať aj s komármi. Izby (chatky) sú už staršie a veľmi tmavé, zaslúžili by si obnovu. Celkovo je areál príjemný, no miestami už vidno jeho vek. Na dlhší pobyt by nám to tu nevyhovovalo. Treba rátať s tým, že kúpanie v mori tu nie je možné.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Markus. Er ist sehr gastfreundlich, kinderfreundlich und hilfsbereit! Die Unterkunft ist sauber. Die Kinder liebten es mit den Hunden zu spielen und die Schildkröte zu füttern. Der perfekte Start in den Urlaub. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Beautiful pool and great food.

We felt it was unreasonable to be charged 1.5 USD for a cup of tea or instant coffee after 10.30 in the morning especially as the hotel is so isolated there really wasn’t a choice. No kettles in rooms. And although dinner was good again 15 USD was overpriced compared to other places we had stayed.

Für nachmittägliche Verlängerung wegen Flug am Abend mussten wir zusätzlich u.E. überhöhte 50% des regulären Übernachtungspreises zahlen. Aus dem Hotelbeschrieb ging nicht hervor, daß der Strand nur über einen öffentlichen Parkplatz erreicht werden kann. Und auch die unmittelbare Nähe zu einem großen Fluss blieb unerwähnt und sorgte für trübere Wasserqualität des Meeres.

It’s such a quiet and peaceful place by the beach, great for either the start or end of your holiday because it’s a 45min drive from the international airport. The bungalows and pool area/gardens are wonderful to relax in. The home cooked food in the evening was really lovely! We enjoyed our two night stay here.

We were greeted by Markus upon arrival and he was an excellent host throughout our stay. Watching the sun set in the tree house and an Arrack in hand, was a perfect end to the day.

De rust waar je in terecht komt na een lange reis.

Prachtige accomodatie. Eigenaar is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze dochter moest naar een dokter en dat werd direct door hem geregeld. Fijn resort om je vakantie mee te beginnen of juist om te eindigen.

Het resort ligt aan het strand maar wel een beetje afgelegen.

Markus ist einfach der Beste! Entspannt, hilfsbereit, nimmt sich Zeit für die Gäste und kann so ziemlich die meisten Probleme für Traveller lösen. Jede Mahlzeit ist mit Liebe, geschmackvoll und abwechslungsreich zubereitet. Die Oase brummt vor Leben - wunderschöne Pflanzen/ Bäume und viele Tiere. Hunde (Alfred!), Schildkröten und sogar Kaninchen werden Kinder lieben. Der Strand ist in Laufentfernung, höchstens 3 Minuten entfernt.

Innerhalb des Resorts gibt es nichts, außerhalb am Strand ist der Plastikmüll ein Problem. Selbst hier ist Markus aktiv und nutzt einen kleinen Traktor mit einer selbstgebauten "Egge", mit dem er den Strand in Abständen vom Müll befreit.

Mooi aangelegde tuin vlakbij het strand waar zo'n 10 bungalowtjes/appartementjes staan rondom het gemeenschappelijke zwembad. Strand is nabij en je kunt 's avonds voor een gering bedrag 3 gangen eten. Elke dag een andere kaart, afwisseling van Europees/ Sri Lankees. Heerlijke accommodatie om even bij te komen van een lange vliegreis of van een indrukwekkende rondreis door Sri Lanka voordat je weer huiswaarts gaat. Wij hebben dat laatste gedaan, is ons uitstekend bevallen hier.

Alles war super! Markus hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert – wir haben uns rundum wohl und bestens betreut gefühlt. Wir haben mehrmals über ihn Tuk-Tuk-Fahrten und Ausflüge gebucht, und die Fahrer waren immer pünktlich, freundlich und zuverlässig. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen waren hervorragend – lecker, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. So hatten wir einen wirklich tollen Start in unseren Sri-Lanka-Urlaub.

Markus is echt een hele fijne gastheer! Heel fijn zwembad, lekker eten, relaxte sfeer. Boottocht was top, massages waren top en tip restaurant Negombe was ook top.

Das Resort ist super schön angelegt, total gepflegt, freundliches Personal, sehr leckeres Essen und einfach ein Ort zum Relaxen. Markus, der Besitzer, erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch und wir haben unsere Zeit bei ihm sehr genossen. Ich hatte Geburtstag an unserem Tag der Ankunft und es gab einen tolle Überraschungstorte und Cocktails. So lieb - was will man mehr?! Tausend Dank!

Relaxte letzte Tage zum Ende unserer Sri Lanka-Reise. Markus ist unheimlich serviceorientiert, sowohl was die Regelungen für die Abreise angeht als auch im Bezug auf Unternehmungen in der Nähe, z.B. Bootsfahrt im nahen Dutch Canal oder Ayurveda Treatment bzw. Besuch des Street Market in Negombo. Sehr ruhiges Gelände. Baden am nahen Strand ist möglich. Super Essen.

The church next door was quite noisy

Localisation idéale pour débuter le séjour au Sri Lanka en raison de sa proximité avec l'aéroport de Colombo. Accueil très sympathique, Markus le propriétaire est très avenant et présent pour ses hôtes. Magnifique jardin et piscine, le tout très propre et bien entretenu. Repas de qualité à prix très raisonnable.

We stayed here for two nights after arriving to Sri Lanka. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. Markus, Michelle and staff are so friendly and really helpful. The food is excellent also.

Beautifully kept - immaculate grounds, pool and rooms. Host Marcus very helpful and friendly.

Poor food in restaurant and massively overpriced (UK prices charged in USD). Burger pattie was cooked from frozen, wafer thin and not beef?! Limited choice and few local Sri Lankan options. We got a 500 LKR Tuk Tuk into Negombo and had seafood platter, with drinks, for same price as our basic meal at resort. Very disappointing so had once and went out for all other food. It’s such a shame as everything else at the resort is perfect. Breakfast was good considering price paid for accomodation.

Puetz travel beach resort is a beautiful resort with a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms with enough privancy, beautiful garden and swimming pool. Dinners very fair priced.and pretty complete. Management is vey involved

Wifi was not working always well, but owner tried ti fix the issue asap. Shower water pressure and heat could be better.

Comfortable, clean, and with a fun pool for the kids. They also organize great little trips. Perfect place to relax and recover from the journey.

The hospitality is super. Owner is a super friendly German man and he is every day there to support. The stay was really nice including the breakfast and also option to be part of the dinner set if you pre order. The rooms are nice and big and the pool is super nice. This place make you feel like you are in a tropical garden.

The main beach is little trashy form ocean and we have big waves when we stayed there

Lovely pool and friendly atmosphere. Great to be offered a trip to the local Ayurvedic spa which was a fabulous experience.

Cosy retreat. Nice, quiet place. Staff and Marcus are very kind and helpful! Amazing deck for the sunset view.

The bed was a little hard

When you first arrive at the hotel, you will find an inconspicuous gate by the beach and for a moment you doubt whether you have arrived at the right address. But when you step inside, you will discover a beautiful garden with beautiful and comfortable accommodation. All this is underlined by the personality of the kind and reliable owner Markus, who takes care of his clients together with the smiling staff. The accommodation is located practically right on the sandy beach with a minimum of tourists.

Staff could not have been more helpful and flexible on many things including early check out, sorting taxis and tuk tuks and coordinating a local spa venue. Set up (honesty bar) , coffees and meals were straightforward. Pool area excellent. Air con in room worked well. It was the last 2 days stop of a 16 day island tour so location 40 mins from CBO airport but on the beach was good.

Minor picky points really that didn't detract from the stay. No card machine, so had to make a trip to the ATM , WiFi access intermittent at best (was the worst of 5 places we stayed around SL). A couple of aspects of the facilities are just starting to get a little tired now: very low water pressure on shower, loose plug socket, some rattan furniture starting to fray....so a little colonial but OK.

Nice and relaxing resort, perfect after a long flight.. Nice rooms, great pool which is kid friendly. Food was good. If you looking to relax then this is your spot. Didnt see any mosquitos during our 2 day stay :)

Delightful set of 12 comfy bungalows around a great pool with lovely gardens. Short 50 metre walk to nice beach. Charming dinner and relaxing areas. Food is good and reasonably priced. A great place to relax for a few days.

Location and a resort in calm and nice are. There is a swimming pool, self service for soft drinks (additional cost). Food provided (breakfast included, dinner, set menu ordered on a day) was fair size and enough of everything. Overall, it's a really great place. Host Mark is always there if you need something

Markus and his team were extremely helpful and the resort itself was relaxing and beautiful if your looking for quiet, relaxing beautiful surroundings and a place to unwind this is for you.

If your looking for lively beach resort with activities, music and cocktails try somewhere else

The only thing to complain about is that there is no restaurants in walking distance

Markus is the consummate host.. he thinks of everything and made us very welcome.. this was just the best start to our holidays. We spent two nights here after flight from London.. with a massage arranged for us too

The nice big clean pool, the food, the spacious bungalows, the fresh beers and the very courtous owner Markus. All world star in a friendly, family atmosphere!! Beds are comfy, Ac work fine The gardens are perfectly manicured

The beach is not great

I don't understand why it says 5 star resort. It's beautiful and lovely in many ways and in some ways more than a 5 star hotel with the kind and intimate interaction with staff but it's not 5 stars!

The bungalows were nice and clean. Nice pool and great distance to the beach for a swim. Beautiful nature around the resort. Breakfast okay with new things every day. Free cold water to refill bottles. staff was nice and welcoming.

The location is quite remote from restaurants so you almost have to eat at the resort. They don't take cards for payment of stay which means you have to find a bank and withdraw the money, which I found a hassle. Tea/coffee prices too high and WiFi didn't work very well in the bungalows.

Delightful resort with friendly staff. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Beautifully landscaped gardens with interesting flora and fauna. Host helped organise trips and transfer and answered any queries we had. We stayed for a few nights at the end of the holiday and was great location for transfer to airport and left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

The hotel is situated in a calm location and is very close to the beach. The room we had was very big and clean. The pool is really nice, our kid loved it. She also liked feeding Egbert the turtle! It was an excellent and relaxing (but too short😊) stay to end our trip through Sri Lanka. Thank you Markus for your hospitality and for being such a great host. You made use feel very welcome and you were very helpful.

We liked the small-scale surroundings, Nice bungalows, adjoining as promised, everything was clean and tidy and the staff really friendly! Because of our nighttime arrival, they sent a driver to pick us up at the airport en let us in our rooms. We had diner in the hotel twice, it was a nice introduction to sri Lankan cuisine.

The hotel manager was really helpful and kind when we needed a swimsuit (our luggage was lost by airline). Very good time and very niece hotel, I would recommend !

Beautifull accommodation and swimming pool. It's like 1 minute walk to the beach. Perfect to relax after the flight. Markus is very friendly and helps us a lot with our planning the next 2 weeks.

The location is isolated, in a beautiful garden on the edge of a quiet sandy beach. Transport is readily available thanks to Klaus. The pool is amazing, breakfast and dinner suited us perfectly. Chill out!!!

Beautiful oasis in a quiet location. Lovely bungalow accommodation, with a nice pool surrounded by palms giving it a nice tropical feel. The service provided by Markus and his team was excellent. This included a taxi pick up from the airport at an ungodly hour - all arranged smoothly for us. Fantastic beach front location.

A peaceful place. The staff made us feel like home. Even got free drinks. :)

Very loud music one night from the neighboring house but it was taken care of.

What a great welcome! Nothing was too much trouble and it was the perfect location to start our holiday. Paradise oasis right next to the sea and the food was superb. The honesty fridge with cold beer was perfect.

I didn’t like to leave it

A very pleasant place to relax at the end of an active trip in Sri Lanka. Marcus and his wife are very attentive and welcoming hosts. We really appreciate how they managed to transform this place into a friendly little paradise. The family cottage is spacious, with two bathrooms. The garden is spectacular and very well maintained. Across the road is a long and wild beach. Love it.

I would recommend adding some local recipes to the menu

Marcus was a wonderful host and could not have been more helpful, especially when my wife needed to see a doctor. The grounds are lovely, and the whole place has a wonderfully relaxed feel about it.

Best start into the first days of a roundtrip with our family! Quiet and peace, lovely people., good food, nice surrounings closexto te beach for shell searching and an ayurvedic treatment with Jasmin Villa to fully relax. Markus created a little piece of heaven! Thank you very much. We hopefully return one day. !

Nice bungalow, beautiful pool, delicious food, 2 min walk from the beach. We started our holidays here and will return for the end of the holidays!

Very cosy and quiet place with a nice garden. Next to the beach. 15 mins by tuk tuk to Negombo.

Markus and Andrea were great hosts and the environment was very relaxed. There was everything we needed in the room - plenty of towels, lots of storage, fridge, mosquito net and big, comfy bed. Lovely pool and the evening meal and breakfasts we had were really good too.

We could have done without the singing and chanting from the church nextdoor at 5.30am both days, but that wasn't the host's fault!
