Incredible experience. Really special.
Could be a bit better maintained, but it does not spoil a bit the overall experience
Truly a paradise. We loved our Pirati room. All the staff was kind and helpful. If you want to spend a magical vacation, definitely book here
Unglaublich tolle Unterkunft, sehr netter Kontakt, alles reibungslos und sehr sehr leckeres Abendessen!
Betten für unseren Geschmack zu hart. Portion beim Abendessen sehr klein
- Absolutely exceptional accommodation thanks to the location - The feeling of having the island to yourself - Excellent cuisine (breakfast and dinner) - Possibility to arrange a later departure from the island depending on the circumstances - Even one single night turns life into a fairy tale
- Everything was absolutely wonderful.
Amazing Robinson Crusoe island with very kind staff
The small island is an unique idea where to run a small hotel. It is a part of Marine National park so the snorkeling arround is interesting, we saw a lion fish floating by the rocks.
We decided to pay this amount of money for one night to have a private access to the sea from a lovely cottage close to it as presented on the booking.com hotel pictures. I would have never bought a night there if I knew that there was just one cottage from five like this and the other 4 are variously placed on the island with no access to the sea. The comfort very average, not worth the money. As mentioned in previous reviews, there are 5mm-1cm gaps arround windows so you can expect everything coming from the surrounding jungle. The biggest problem I would say are moscitos and cockroaches, which we found in our bathroom. The guy who manages the hotel, Laurent, is super friendly and polite, but that will not get your money back. Overall, to be honest, the maximum price, which I would be willing to pay for this kind of service is 300$. The cost benefit review here at booking.com is arround 7 and is truth. Unfortunatelly I saw it after payment.

Our stay at Chauve Souris Relais was truly a piece of paradise. Laurent, Mr. Duke, and the rest of the team were amazing thank you for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We stayed in the Pirata Villa, and waking up to the stunning sunrise from our room balcony felt absolutely dreamy. We were also lucky to be there during the full moon, and the view of the moon shimmering across the sea was nothing short of surreal. The food was another wonderful surprise everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Overall, our stay was excellent, and we highly recommend this piece of paradise in Praslin. A magical experience from start to finish.
Absolutely amazing stay! The atmosphere was fantastic and the people working there were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a beautiful and spacious apartment, and for the price I paid the quality was outstanding — truly great value for money. Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfectly organized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again! 🌴✨

The location is breathtakingly gorgeous! The hosts were very helpful organizing transfers from the ferry to the property. The food was okay and the views were just amazing! Great place to unwind in peace and quiet with no distractions.
The bed was very hard.
Lokalizacja na małej wyspie z bezpośrednim dostępem do oceanu z możliwością snorkelingu; taras z ładnym widokiem na wyspę St Pierre, dobre jedzenie i drinki w restauracji; dobry kontakt poprzez WhatsApp; bezpłatny transport łódką w dwie strony;
Akurat trafiliśmy na głośną imprezę muzyczną na pobliskiej plaży do późnych godzin wieczornych (ale to nie wina obiektu) - trudno było zasnąć i trochę popsuło to ogólne wrażenie z pobytu - byliśmy tylko 1 noc;
We had an amazing stay and the food was excellent!
Location bellissima
We were staying -unfortunately- only one night at the island in two beautiful, large rooms. It‘s a great spot, with nice snorkeling opportunities around the island. Food for dinner was good, also the wine prices were very reasonable. The personal was so nice making our stay memorable. Thank you, we‘ll come again.
Really nothing.
Words fail to express the absolute luxury of staying at this resort. It is green, blue, and bright. There are flowers and birds. Best of all, you get to enjoy it while having complete privacy. We want to extend a special thanks to the manager Luigi, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And to Toto who drove the shuttle boat and guided our snorkeling tour to St. Pierre.
The team was wonderful. They took time to discuss and made the stay very enjoyable. They were always ready to help.
Don’t come for the wi-fi
The location of the Island was very nice
Our room was not as nice as it seems, and we couldn’t stay at trace because there was a very bad smell. We asked to change the room but they refused ( even if we pay extra). The room has very very old bathroom and the bed was very uncomfortable. The hotel needs renovation I don’t recommend staying there
A private hut with access to the sea. A magnificent balcony, overlooking the ocean. Too expensive compared to other hotels around the world. But it was worth it for the unique experience, even more so because we were the only guests on the island.
Rudimentary breakfast, nothing exceptional for the amount paid for one night.
Nice vibe of the private island, bungalow with direct access to the ocean
Paying over 1000 eur a night, you expect water and wifi to be included…
The location on a private island is exceptional! There is no beach. However, one can access the water via a small dock. The water is exceptional; it is crystal clear. Swimming is only possible at the beach of Anse de la Cote Doré, which is an exceptional beach. One must be a proficient swimmer. At the northern tip of the island, there is an opportunity for snorkeling.
Water is not included. The menu for meals remains very limited. We were unfortunate with the weather, as it rained heavily. Consequently, we ended up spending a lot of time on the island. The rooms offer very little comfort. The beds are of poor quality, and the pillows are of even worse quality. Transportation between the island and the beach is included only once a day; otherwise, there are additional charges for a very short shuttle service. However, the staff (Silvia) is very pleasant. Luc is kind and polite. Nevertheless, one pays the price of a five-star accommodation for a setup that is rather rustic and basic. Having traveled to other small islands, there are more charming places available at a lower cost. The prices for food are exorbitant for modest quality.
Amazing location and views, great staff, good service, clean and cozy accommodation. Truly a unique experience!
This is a stunning place to stay and it’s one of those experiences that you are prepared to perhaps, take on some less than pleasant aspects. The island It’s absolutely stunning, perfect for snorkeling .
We had troubles getting any sleep as the bed was feeling and smell a bit like dump… we do understand being literally on the water might have this effect, maybe investing in new mattress and pillows would help.
Amazing location, its quirkiness and all the staff were very helpful
Tired and worn, needs a refresh especially the bathrooms, the bed was a bit like in a dorm room and the pillows were cheap and very uncomfortable
Stunning location, felt like your own little island. Food was delicious, staff were amazing.
It was frustrating they charge for things like wifi when you have paid so much, but if you are in the room above the restaurant you get away with it. People may find food menu limited but thats to be expected and the food was amazing.
Remote island and a peaceful stay
Property need lot of upgradation and maintenence work. Lot of insects entering the room, door and windows need to be intact. Jacuzzi not working fully
Location is outstanding, staff super friendly and helpful.
Beds a bit hard, few things not working, but given the island location all was understandable. Only real issue is hotel on main island of Praslin playing crappy euro pop on certain nights. A week day stay better than weekends.
Spectacular location. Friendly personnel.
Mattress quite hard.
It was literally a paradise on earth and a dream come true experience of staying in an island! Would highly recommend it for couples for a unique experience. Staffs were exceptionally good and welcoming :)
The location is incredible. The snorkeling around the island is one of the best. We have seen a tremendous array of different fish. The breakfast was plenty, the lunch and dinner were delicious. The staff were very friendly, and eager to help.
It is clear that this is a hotel with a lot of history, and that it could do with a few updates. However the bed spread had stains and the bathroom needed a good scrub. All in all we liked the experience.
By far the best part of our stay in the Seychelles, and utterly deserving of being called magical. It's a private island only 5mins boat ride from the shores of Praslin - and in low tide you can even walk across - but the feeling of being on a special hideaway in a traditional style wooden lodge was amazing. The staff were brilliant (thank you Emmanuel for everything) and walking into the Pirate Suite we were wowed by how big and charming the space was. As there's only 5 rooms on the island we were not expecting the dining options to be that good - but it was so fantastic we decided to eat there every day. The fresh fish and creole curries were excellent, I highly recommend the shrimps on skewers. Our room had a ladder straight into the sea so we went snorkeling every day and there's a sea turtle that seems to feed by the big rock next to the island all the time, so we regularly visited it.
Honestly for us it was perfect! If you are looking for a modern chic accommodation, this might not be what you're looking for as it's more rustic style, but if you like the adventure and like being up close to nature (some friendly geckos and hermit crabs) around the island, it's wonderful.
the island is amazing. Emanuel is really nice just as everyone else
This place is magical. First of all, the staff is amazing. Then, the island in itself is a little piece of paradise, with a lot of animals, amazing views, and access to the ocean. You also have all the materials you need to go snorkeling around the island which is really nice. The room was great. One thing I would recommend to anyone who liked Italian food is to order the carbonara there. It was a 10/10.
Un petit bijou ! Worth booking!
Almost everything. Great room on a calm, private island. Specifically liked the lighting concept in the room, as well as the breakfast & dinner. Great snorkelling spot. Overall, the secenery is great.
Liked the location and way of catering to demands and the friendly home stay concert with minimal I.e sophisticated manner of entire stay
Besides excellent location, hospitality was the top!!!Specifically we want to thank Emmanuel for making our stay special and worry free!
Top romantic outstanding Location
This was truly a wonderful and unique experience. We absolutely loved the private island vibe. The care was superb. Couldn’t ask for a more attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious. A must add to your Seychelles bucket list!
The location and geography of this accommodation could speak for itself and you would be blown away, but the staff take this to another level. From our first interaction on the beach at Cote D’or, orientation, check out and everything in between, this is a magnificent group of people. The historical value of this site is significant and it has kept touch with the needs of modern luxury. Pure relaxation, isolation and a feeling of being one with the landscape of Seychelles
Not a criticism of the property, but our choice - because the hotel is an island and so close to what seems like “better” facilities, we wasted time onshore. Highly recommend eating at the restaurant as opposed to taking the boat across to town and making the most of your time on Chauve Souris
Location was fantastic. Sailed past the island so many times over the years and always fancied staying. Old, Quirky absolutly lovely!!
The very best tiny hotel experience. Unique setting, natural luxury. A special place for special people to enjoy and never forget. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.
Whoever needs to complain about missing gadgets when you can have a nature paradise all to yourself?
The staff was welcoming and very professional
great location, an absolute must if you want to relax
How to descripe this special place? First of all it is an trip/feeling taking you away from mainland and knowing/understanding you are on a small piece of history (buildings), little nature island with its own birds/reptiles. The person in change on island, mister Emmanuel, only been on the resort for 1.5y is your perfect host informing you about the story and nature of the island, taking his time for the guest while meanwhile giving his best making guest get everything they wish for. From the first time you enter the transport boat, you are geeted by captain Antonio and host Emanuel giving you the relaxed feeling this will be a relaxed adventure. Personally we didnt have any issue with the bit outdated room/facility as we understand the story and vibe of island. Rest ashure, it has everything you need! We got the pirate roomon corner of island. Large enough terras with breathtaking view, large enough bed with the bolder rocks feel. Smallish badroom but again big enough and high pressure water (again little island). Breakfast and dinner were splendid. Since our next resort had a booking issue, Emanuel made it possible we could stay an other day...worst pmaces in the world to get stuck 😉!!! Big thanks to Emanual, Antonio and the rest of the staff. You all doing a excellant job!!
Only thinny issue maybe is the pirate room is pretty dark (no big windows knowing the view is so perfect), but even with the lights it was bit dark.
i loved everything about this hotel! nana one of the cooks, Emanuel who is manager of the hotel and the boat driver. i cannot remember his name and I feel terrible but this was great! it was quaint and quiet but gave that exclusive resort feel! i really cannot wait to come back
Location superb, beautiful peaceful exclusive
They charge wifi without notice and have shortages. seems wifi is top up by the manager
Our stay was amazing. The food was especially delicious. Emmanuel and the staff were very kind and accommodating. The bedroom, bathroom, balcony and deck were great. The sheets could have been a bit more fresh but generally it was an amazing stay!
The tucked in sheets and pillows had a smell of dampness and unfreshness which could have been cleaner. Otherwise the stay was exceptional.
