This is a nice property, if you’re on a serious budget. The location is great and staff very friendly.

very very warm. The ceiling fan was tiny and didn’t give any relief from the hot air. when we arrived the bed was absolutely covered with dead mosquitoes, maybe 40/50.

Lugar muy tranquilo y apacible. El personal muy atento. Restaurante muy rico. Calidad/precio muy recomendable. La cabaña está muy bien. Hay mosquitera y aunque no hay aire los ventiladores son suficiente.

Me hubiera gustado que el water estuviera cerrado. Y nos faltó sitio para organizar ropa y maletas. Hay un banco en el lavabo y otro bastante pequeño en el dormitorio.

La mauvaise foi du personnel qui m'a affirmé 3 fois la possibilité d'avoir une nuit gratuite en faisant de la plongée avec eux... pour finalement me dire que j'avais mal compris La gestion client catastrophique (dans un hôtel classique, quand le client n'est pas content, on évite de juste le mépriser) Moustiquaire trouée (changée 3 fois et la dernière était toujours trouée)

Absolutely gorgeous accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting right on the beach. We loved the layout of the room, with the bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs. It felt really spacious and unique. The restaurant was also lovely, with amazing food. I especially recommend the iced lemongrass tea, which was my favourite! They also have a great 2 for 1 cocktail deal, which we took advantage of every day. It was easy to arrange taxis through the accommodation for 50 baht per person, and the location was great, surrounded by nature but still close to restaurants and Walking Street. We also really appreciated that you can ask them to spray your room for mosquitoes while you’re out in the evening. There is also a mosquito net over the bed, which was helpful. Overall, a lovely and serene place that we would happily stay at again.

The main downside was the noise. We had the last room near the staff quarters, so it could be quite loud during the day and evening when staff were hanging out nearby, otherwise it would be a 10. There was also some noise from the homes behind the accommodation. With the fans, it was sometimes difficult to feel the airflow through the net, but overall we still felt comfortable and cool.

Eine schöne Unterkunft, direkt am kleinen Strand. Die Bungalows waren alle mit Moskitonetzen ausgestattet, die man aber auch dringend benötigt. Der Aufenthalt war sehr gelungen. Gutes Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Auch die Lage war gut. Zum Glück kein Müll am Strand, wie an den anderen Stränden der Insel.

Leider etwas viele Boote direkt am Strand. Aber es war immer die Möglichkeit zum Schwimmen und Baden.

My stay at Castaway Resort Koh Lipe was absolutely perfect. It was exactly the peaceful retreat I was looking for, and I was finally able to truly relax and rest. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of character. The restaurant, with its stunning beachfront views, was everything I could have wished for. Sitting there for breakfast or dinner while overlooking the sea was simply unforgettable. The staff were exceptional – incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. Their warmth made my stay even more special. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious and, in my opinion, even better than many of the restaurants on the main street. Everything about my stay was wonderful, from the atmosphere to the service. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend Castaway Resort to anyone visiting Koh Lipe. I truly hope to come back one day.

Honestly, the only thing I didn’t like was that I didn’t book a longer stay! Everything exceeded my expectations, and I wish I had spent more time here.

Le resort est vraiment bien placé, il donne un accès direct sur la plage. Le personnel est très aimable et accueillant. Le resort est très propre, on s'y sent bien le ménage est fait tous les jours dans les logements. La nourriture du restaurant est très bonne, rien à dire !

Il fait assez humide dans les logements et il y a beaucoup de moustiques mais ce n'est pas de la faute du resort c'est la météo en Thaïlande :)

It is too dark. If it can have more light, it would be even better. There are sands on the bed and the fan are too dusty.

Très mauvaise expérience, je ne recommande absolument pas cet hôtel. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été confrontés à une quantité impressionnante de moustiques. Il est pratiquement impossible de profiter de la chambre ou de la terrasse sans se faire piquer en permanence. La douche est un véritable problème : il n'y a quasiment pas d'eau chaude, l'eau est glacée, ce qui est très désagréable. De plus, l'évacuation fonctionne très mal, l'eau stagne rapidement dans la salle de bain. Les prix pratiqués au restaurant de l'hôtel sont excessifs et ne sont pas justifiés par la qualité. Les autres services proposés sont également beaucoup trop chers. Le pire reste le manque total de tranquillité. Les chambres sont très mal isolées : on entend absolument tout ce qui se passe autour. Il est impossible d'avoir un minimum d'intimité. En pleine nuit, les scooters qui passent juste à côté de l'hôtel réveillent régulièrement les clients. Dormir correctement est donc très difficile. Enfin, nous avons eu une très mauvaise surprise concernant les tarifs. Certains prix annoncés ne correspondaient pas à ce qui nous a finalement été facturé, ce qui donne vraiment l'impression d'un manque de transparence. Au vu du prix payé, cette expérience est très décevante. Entre les moustiques, l'absence d'eau chaude, les problèmes d'évacuation, le bruit permanent, les tarifs excessifs et le manque de transparence sur les prix, je ne reviendrai pas et je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

Super ambiance dans un cadre à la fois confortable et naturel. Les petites cabanes en bois sont magnifiques : des l’entrée, nous arrivons dans la salle de bain avec les toilettes ce qui est original mais pas un problème pour nous. À l’étage un grand lit très confortable avec moustiquaire et 3 ventilateurs très efficaces. Les chambres disposent d’un balcon. Le restaurant est très agréable aussi, face à la mer avec plusieurs petits coins différents (tables, tables basses, chaises style africain…). Les prix sont corrects et le personnel réactif. Nous avons adoré séjourner ici, nous nous sommes sentis bien et sommes restés une nuit de plus!

Le happy hour de 16h à 18h… nous avons voulu commander un autre verre à 18h03… ce n’était plus happy hour… bon… on chipote… c’est le jeu…

Sodas and other drinks are expensive even for ko lipe. The bungalows are very simple with only one fan in the bungalows that are not front row.

Nature, typique et reposant

Plage avec beaucoup de bateaux, douche à l’eau froide, pas tapis de bain donc beaucoup d’eau partout.

Das 2 stöckige Bungalow war ansich schön jedoch ging ohne Klima leider Garnichts. der Ventilator überm Bett hat auch nicht geholfen da das mosquitonetz (was nicht so hilfreich war) die Luft aufgehalten hat. Auch das licht hat nicht funktioniert. der Strand war schön jedoch sind dort viele boote und nicht wirklich liege Fläche. Würde ich nicht nochmal buchen.

Estaba literalmente a pie del agua del mar, igualito que en las fotos. Teniamos las playas enteras para nosotros 2, fue una genial idea venir en temporada de monzones, solo nos llovió el día que nos fuimos.

A destacar que no hay agua caliente, aunque no molesta para nada, de verdad. Y sí que diría que estaría bien que pusieran alguna luz más en la parte de arriba porque de noche no se ve casi nada sólo con las que hay, aunque no sé si es adrede para conservar el encanto del lugar.

Es ist eine top Anlage mitten im Grünen und trotzdem direkt am Strand. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, Essen sehr lecker, auch das Frühstück war top. Die Angestellten waren super nett, jeden Tag wurde der Bungalow gereinigt und man bekam frische Handtücher.

Le fait qu’ils vendent des activités sur lesquelles ils n’ont pas la main et que malgré une hospitalisation ils nous imposent à payer l’intégralité. J’ai trouvé cela dommage de leur part, sachant qu’eux se permettent d’annuler sans compensation.

It exceeded all expectations. It was one of the best place i have stayed. It will only be so good if you love nature. It was clean, safe, hospitable. Nut took care of us very well. They have everything too, from kayak to yoga. Food was awesome too.

My opinion has changed after 15 years. (I stayed at the resort 15 years ago) What you like when you're young doesn't necessarily mean you'll still like it years later... The rustic look of the individual bungalows might be appealing, but it's rather impractical... Steep stairs, warped doors, blinds on the windows that barely worked. Unfortunately, the Castaway Resort has practically no beach left compared to 15 years ago... No air conditioning, but a rather weak ceiling fan... The shower only has cold water. No bumper by the toilet. Holes in the mosquito net, which is absolutely essential at night... Only one double socket in the bedroom, which is far from the bed. Two lights in the bedroom that barely illuminated the room Uncomfortable bed View from the balcony of a construction site full of rubbish. However, this isn't the resort's fault, but rather the island's overall state when you look behind the scenes... There's dirt everywhere, and the island is being completely overdeveloped...

There is a beach in front of the resort. Resort has a restaurant with delicious food. Very nice garden with tropical trees.

Beach is not the best. Too many boats right in front of the beach. No tv and wifi in rooms.

Me gustó mucho poder hacer esnórquel a pocos metros de la playa. El bar, restaurante era muy acogedor y con unas vistas espectaculares. Las cabañas son muy bonitas, y el personal muy atento.

No me gustó que el baño esté nada más abrir la puerta de la entrada y sin puerta, creo que se podría poner una cortina para poder tener un mínimo de intimidad.

* Very romantic and green/ lush resort with all wooden chalets. * Meals are wonderful. * The beach offers shade whilst in the water from 13:30h onwards. * The resort also offers a dive operation, making things very convenient to plan and organize.

* The chalets require a constant fight against mosquitoes, since they are mostly open. The mosquito nets and fans are your only real barriers. * We only just managed the heat with the fans. *I also don’t understand how they have used plastic sand bags to combat sea level rise; at least make sure to fully cover and hide them with a layer of sand(!)

Les casetes son molt xules i ven decorades, just a davant del mar. El personal és molt amable i atent. La zona comú del bar era molt bonica també. La happy hour és una ganga i ens va encantar.

Molta calor, no teniem aire acondicionat. Podies demanar un ventilador extra i així vam poder dormir perfecte.

O bangalô é grande e bonito. As camas são confortáveis, é na beira de uma das praias mais bonitas da ilha, preços do restaurante não são muito caros e a comida é gostosa. Tem 3 ventiladores potentes no quarto e um no banheiro, o que deixa o ambiente mais fresco. Nos deram um frasco de repelente muito bom. Os funcionários foram muito simpáticos e solícitos.

O primeiro andar do bangalô é inteiro para o banheiro, que, por sua vez não tem porta. É um pouco estranho a princípio.. mas funciona se você combinar direito com quem estiver viajando com você.

Estar em contacto com a natureza, mantendo o carisma da ilha, o cuidados com sustentabilidade. A equipa esteve sempre disponível para nos ajudar em qualquer questão. A zona do lobby/bar tem uma excelente vibe.

O que nós achávamos que podia ser um ponto negativo acabou por ser uma maravilha! Só ter água fria no banho! Adorámos!

The service was spectacular. Daily cleaning was a 10/10 — they are very meticulous when it comes to cleaning, and the sheets, pillows, and towels are hygienic. The bungalow is also beautiful. The staff are top. High standard. It exceeds the value-for-money ratio.

I would say everything was perfect. Maybe they might consider installing air conditioning.

Tout l’emplacement avec sa plage magnifique, le bungalow est vraiment très sympa, le personnel au petit soin, le restaurant est excellent avec des prix très raisonnables. Et mention spéciale à l’équipe de plongée sous marine qui ont été au top avec nous.

Very chilled out resort; incredibly relaxed vibe. The bed was really comfortable and the staff attentive and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed yoga with Kim every day and use of the dive shop.

Not much we didn’t like. However it could benefit from more comfortable seating on the veranda, in addition to the hammock & bench.

Hotel is OK, although we found it expensive considering the room and facilities . Unfortunately the beach in front of the hotel is full of boat parked , so we could not really enjoy the sea there. We found out that it was the case in almost all the beaches in the island. I think Koh Lipe is overrated . We would not make a stop in Koh Lipe again.

Un ecolodge bien organisé. Les bungalows sont confortables et fonctionnels. Le restau - bar est vraiment accueillant , style babacool Vue sympa , eaux turquoises et snorkling face au lodge avec beaucoup de variétés de poissons. Services divers proposés et tres pratiques. La street market est à 2 pas.

Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de plage devant le lodge . Les tarifs aeroport hat yai sont plus chers que agences.

Das Resort liegt mitten im Grünen und ist umgeben von zahlreichen hohen Bäumen und Pflanzen. Die Bungalows sind ganz nett, eher ein wenig eng aber das ist kein wirkliches Problem. Das Haupthaus liegt direkt am Strand. Der Strand ist schön und eignet sich sowohl zum baden als auch für einen langen Spaziergang. In nicht mal 10 Minuten ist man an der Walking Street. Die dazugehörige Tauschschule können wir nur empfehlen.

Es hat keine Klimaanlage was wir wussten und es hat uns auch nicht gestört. WIFI gibt es im Haupthaus und am Strand.

Je ne me suis pas sentie a l'aise, anxiogène, sombre ,je pensais que c était un petit complexe, mais il y a pas moins d une 50ene de bungalow ! La plage ben,entre les bateaux...tellement de moustique ! Bref prenez des bungalow normaux avec clim bouilloire ect...

Très beau séjour au Castaway Resort à Koh Lipe. L’hôtel bénéficie d’un cadre naturel superbe, avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et une ambiance très paisible, idéale pour se détendre. Les bungalows sont simples mais pleins de charme, parfaitement intégrés dans la nature pour une expérience authentique. Le personnel est accueillant et disponible. l’expérience globale reste très positive, surtout si vous cherchez un endroit calme et dépaysant. Une belle adresse avec quelques petits compromis à connaître.

Le petit déjeuner pas hyper bon et assez cher pour la Thaïlande Beaucoup de moustiques concernant la plage juste devant l’hôtel : il y a pas mal de bateaux, ce qui enlève un peu de charme et rend la baignade moins paisible. De plus, il n’y a pas énormément de sable à certains endroits, ce qui peut rendre difficile de s’installer confortablement avec une serviette.

Emplacement géographique par rapport à la plage et la beauté du paysage. L originalité des bungalows, c était une bonne immersion dans la culture thaïlandaise. Qualité de l accueil du personnel celui ci était très à l écoute et professionnel. Le personnel est souriant et serviable. Les petits déjeuners étaient très bons malgré S pas inclus dans le prix du séjour. Les environs de l hôtel étaient pas propres ce qui peut nuire à l image de cet hôtel.

Les bungalows sont sombres et il y avait énormément de moustiques. La plage privée pour se reposer sur le sable était trop petite. Il n y avait pas d équipement pour se faire un café ou un thé.

Fabulous resort. We spent 5 nights here in a family room with two teenagers. The staff are wonderful and the restaurant/bar brilliant. It was very relaxing. The little hut was comfortable and spacious enough for us.

It was a bit tough sleeping without AC but we knew before we booked and it was particularly hot when we were there.

Such a cute getaway resort! The staff were incredible, food was great, and they provided reasonably priced options for diving, snorkeling, kayaking etc.

Absolutely loved the location, food and staff! Some of the best food we had while we were here! We did both yoga and diving with the hotel which were both amazing. The restaurant setting / vibe is so so lovely and all the staff so helpful and friendly. Even after we moved on from here we went back for the food and iced coconut coffee!

It didn’t have aircon (but this was our fault as we didn’t check first - this is detailed on the booking). You walk into your hut through the toilet which is a bit strange so you need to be comfortable with who you’re staying with 🤣

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war super freundlich - die ganze Atmosphäre war sehr entspannt. Die Lage war super, auch wenn viele Boote direkt vor dem Resort liegen (was auf der Insel aber generell üblich ist) konnte man baden und hin zum Felsen & dahinter (2 min Fußweg) tolle Strände genießen. Die Anlage ist liebevoll gepflegt mit traumhaft schönem Garten und die Unterkünfte sind absolut ausreichend auch ohne Klima & Warmwasser und wecken ein wenig Abenteuergefühl. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker!

Man darf nicht empfindlich sein was die Lautstärke betrifft, es sind Holzhäuser und man nimmt natürlich alle Geräusche wahr inkl. Ventilator (der im Zimmer die Nacht läuft). Bei empfindlichen Schlaf würde ich Ohrenstöpsel empfehlen. Ebenso führt der Weg zum Resort für ein paar Meter durch eine Ecke mit viel Müll.

Très bon emplacement, personnel au petit soin pour nous , le restaurant et les pieds dans leau . La vue incroyable et surtout le petit plus de location de kanoë pour snorkeling a proximité et on a vu énormément de beaux poissons !

A laid-back but really special resort set on a stunning beach, with crystal-clear turquoise water and views of small islands. The bungalows are tucked into a lush, almost wild botanical garden full of incredible trees—it feels very natural and unique. The staff are warm and genuinely welcoming, there’s a professional-level diving and kitesurfing club, and the restaurant is excellent. Just be aware—no air conditioning, TV, or internet in the rooms, which actually adds to the peaceful, unplugged vibe

One downside: the entrance is quite rough. The access road goes past run-down shacks and over a swampy area with noticeable trash, and it doesn’t feel great on arrival. The good news is that once you’re inside, the place completely makes up for it and you quickly forget about it.

Castaway resort é um paraíso de tranquilidade em Koh Lipe. Os bungalows são muito bonitos e funcionais. O resort tem um restaurante muito bom e vários outros serviços, fica em frente à praia , apesar de ter alguns barcos, mesmo ao lado tem uma parte da praia quase sem barcos. Fica muito perto da rua principal. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos.
