Very good resort with very nice food quality. If you are staying here Pichola lake and city palace is just walkable distance. We had very good stay here.

Top of the line housekeeping by Dharam singh and other staff, serene and tranquil ambience. Great rooms.

Amazing place to stay with your family. The overall resort is very kids friendly and lot of things to explore. Starting from Reception to Room Service to Restaurant staff, everyone is so helpful and kind. Specially Harkesh, Tarun and Tanija took very well care of us and kids. A must stay place for families.

The only area where we felt the resort could do better is the quality of the beds and mattresses. We were genuinely surprised because every other aspect of the resort was outstanding. However, the comfort of the bed did not match the premium standard of the property and felt below what we would expect from a luxury resort. Upgrading the mattresses and overall bed comfort would significantly enhance the guest experience.

The stay was really good, and the services were excellent. All the staff were courteous, friendly, and always had a smile on their faces. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Looking forward to seeing you again next time!

The staff was good, but the property has serious wildlife and pest issues. Monkeys, stray dogs, spiders, and rats were coming inside. We couldn't sleep all night and had a very uncomfortable stay. Book this place only if you love sleeping around pets, rats, and monkeys!

Aranya Vilas is a gem nestled very centrally amongst the city hustle bustle yet , a peaceful tranquil abode with its own lil’ forest , its very own lake & a pond too ! All the major attractions are within 100 metres to few kilometres. Being a nature lover I couldn’t help but admire the lush greenery , variety of bird visitors, langurs , squirrels , butterflies , ducks , goldfish in the pond & a very friendly pup Tony. The rooms & property are immaculately clean & well maintained. The staff is gentle pleasant & always quick to respond to little requests. Special mention for Mr Kundal at the reception & Ms Sangeeta at the restaurant. Although some people have mentioned the food being expensive , I do not agree ! The food is fresh & sumptuous, balanced spices. We loved our breakfast & candlelit dinners there with live flute & santoor music! Thanks to Team Aranya Vilas for the wonderful hospitality.

Location: The location is excellent and one of the biggest advantages of this property. It is conveniently close to the main attractions, making sightseeing and travel very easy and hassle-free. Everything we wanted to explore was within comfortable reach. Vibe & Ambience: What we absolutely loved about this place is its greenery and peaceful environment. The entire property is surrounded by lush green landscapes, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The vibe is serene and refreshing — perfect for unwinding away from city noise. The open spaces are beautifully maintained, and the overall environment makes the stay very pleasant and rejuvenating. We stayed in the Luxury Villa, which was spacious and comfortable. The property also features some really beautiful open areas, including a clean swimming pool, a lovely pond, and a nice airy dining area that adds charm to the overall experience. Service: The service staff is genuinely helpful and courteous. We had a small issue with a malfunctioning heater in our room, but within a few minutes of informing the staff, they replaced it with an efficient room heater. Their quick response and willingness to help were truly appreciated. Areas for Improvement: While the overall experience was very good, there are a few aspects that need attention: Room Electrical Layout: The placement of light plugs and switches was not very ergonomic. Specifically, the hot water kettle plug point was not easily accessible. We had to use the same plug point for both the heater and the kettle, as there was no alternative accessible high-voltage plug in the room. Every time we wanted to make tea or coffee, we had to go under the table, unplug the heater, plug in the kettle, and then repeat the process to restart the heater. This was inconvenient and could easily be improved with better plug placement or additional power outlets. Breakfast Experience: The breakfast spread was quite limited and, unfortunately, not served hot. For two consecutive days, the food was cold or not even warm, which affected the overall taste experience. Additionally, the staff in the dining area did not greet guests, which felt slightly disappointing in terms of hospitality. I think the Restaurant team and rest of the resort team are not in connection. When we told our experience with the reception team they said you can complain to F&B team in restaurant. The serving team is really lethargic and have communication issue. With breakfast deal can be avoided. or order freshly cooked items if you got a B&B deal. However, on the last day, we ordered freshly prepared hot breakfast items, and they tasted really good and flavorful. This makes us believe that if the heating and temperature issue is resolved, the food quality can truly shine. Overall Experience: Despite the minor shortcomings, our overall experience was super and memorable. The location, greenery, peaceful ambience, helpful staff, and beautiful open spaces make this resort a great choice for a relaxing getaway. With a few improvements in room ergonomics and breakfast service, this place can easily elevate the guest experience even further. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely resort within the city and surrounded by natural trees 🌳. We had an opportunity to see several Peacocks around the property in their Habitat. Close to the city centre and Lake Pichola it was a perfect location. Food was excellent at the restaurant.

Rooms could be better maintained.

Staff is learning and courteous and pays attention to the need but more training needs to be provided to them.

They keep forgetting from which room the order was placed and delivered to another room. The first day the glasses in the washroom had fungus on the lid, ideally the room would have been closed. Though later room cleaning was done on a daily basis. At the breakfast menu there are options but they need to be warm enough to be eatable some items become stiff and you don't like eating then.

Excellent customer service. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this place for all the travellers going to Udaipur. Looking forward to coming here again next year. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Currently here with a tour group and after meal service I would not recommend. We had to ask multiple times to order. No one seemed to know who was waiting our table. Other tables ate and left before our food came. No apologies. After 1:45 2 of our group never got food. No one cared

The food was absolutely delicious, with great variety and authentic flavors that added to the comfort of the stay. The property itself is beautiful, with a peaceful forest-like vibe and greenery all around. Being surrounded by so many trees gave it a refreshing, close-to-nature feeling. The natural pond on the premises was especially calming and made the atmosphere even more serene. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and completely noise-free, which made the stay even more relaxing. Everything felt thoughtfully maintained and perfectly blended with the natural surroundings. Overall, Aranya Vilas is an ideal getaway for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience excellent service. Highly recommended!

We chose Aranya Villas Udaipur for my birthday, as my wife had planned a special surprise for me. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a memorable celebration turned into one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we’ve ever had. To begin with, my wife had pre-paid for a birthday cake, but when we reached the resort, they had completely forgotten to arrange it. There was no apology or accountability. ⭐ Additional point: At the time of booking, it was clearly mentioned on the booking page that a complimentary cookie platter would be provided. This was never given to us. It’s a small thing and we don’t even eat cookies, so we didn’t complain at the time—but it does reflect the lack of attention to commitments, which is why I’m mentioning it here. Once inside the room, we realized the resort doesn’t even have a smart TV, which was surprising for a property that claims to be premium. The bigger shock came when I entered the bathroom and found thousands of ants all over the washroom. I immediately called reception. A housekeeping staff member rushed in and tried to clean it, but the situation was unacceptable. When we requested a room change, the staff insisted we continue using the same ant-infested room after cleaning. We had booked a Jacuzzi Suite, but instead, they tried to downgrade us to a small, normal room, claiming all suites were booked. We had to argue for 30–40 minutes around 7 PM, asking either for a proper suite or a refund so we could leave. Miraculously, after nearly an hour of arguments, a suite suddenly became “available” and was allotted to us. This clearly showed mismanagement and lack of honesty. The problems didn’t end there. My wife had pre-paid for a special candlelight dinner near the pool a month in advance. At check-in, Ms. Kusum at the reception confirmed everything and told us to come at 9 PM, assuring us that all arrangements were ready. When we reached the restaurant at 9:30 PM, the restaurant manager had no clue about any decoration or special setup. The staff started blaming each other instead of resolving the issue. We requested them to simply adjust the amount we paid in our dinner bill, but they insisted the setup would be done in 10 minutes. After waiting for over an hour, the table was finally ready. Because of the delay, they informed us that the à la carte food would be complimentary. Exhausted and frustrated, we ordered simple food—soup, fried rice, and a few drinks. Later, they brought us a bill saying only food was complimentary, not the drinks. At that point, we were mentally drained and didn’t have the energy to argue further, so we just paid. Late at night, monkeys were moving on the roof and around the Jacuzzi area, creating loud noises and making it difficult to sleep. While wildlife is expected, basic sound control or warning would have helped. The next morning, a few of our friends wanted to meet us briefly as we were all from different cities. The reception staff rudely informed them that guests are not allowed, calling it “policy.” The same receptionist who had earlier confirmed the dinner was extremely arrogant. One of my friends had a broken leg, yet no assistance was offered, and they didn’t even allow the car to come till the reception area. When I politely requested her to bend the policy for just 15 minutes, explaining everything we had already faced, she replied: “Humne aapko complimentary food diya toh tha.” That statement was extremely disrespectful and triggering. I never asked for complimentary food. I paid for premium services, special arrangements, and a memorable experience none of which were delivered. What hurt the most was that not a single staff member apologized, except the GM, who was the only professional person we interacted with. This resort completely ruined my birthday, and I feel it’s my responsibility to share this experience so that no one else goes through what we did.

This place is at a great location. Staff is great. Resort is essentially built in an old garden, keeping most of the garden intact. You can drive all the way up to the hotel. Staff is great. Rooms are new and nice. A little paradise in the middle of the town

It was a pleasant stay at aranya vilas. Food is good, service is outstanding. Mr pranjal made our experience wonderful.

Aranya vilas is priced in the luxury range, and poised such that it appears luxury. However the experience is far from it. The rooms are basic, adequately appointed but nothing that would make a weary traveler happy. Food is average, we had breakfast and it was just an exercise of filling up before a day of sightseeing rather than a relishing experience- dry omelettes, too thick puri, and barely 3 fruits. Most disappointing part was the hospitality- everyone from restaurant staff to front desk was completely uninterested and unwelcoming, like anything you ask or say is a burden. Only saving grace are the fantastic location, expansive garden and forest feel and cold coffee which helped in washing down the bland breakfast. Would not recommend at all

Huge property with lots of trees and nature in all its abundance. It’s so cool inside the property as well. The tents are a good experience. Loved the food here as well. Service is exceptional. Location is quite central to most things such as city palace and Pichola lake.

The outside of the location could be chaotic but that’s just old city for you. They don’t give you two keys for one room don’t know why.

I opted for Half Board (Paid for Buffet Bfst and Dinner) while checking in at hotel but there was no buffet provided for two days. With kids travelling along with me and feeding them is a challenge.and by not providing buffet gave me less food options for them. Hotel should have clarified at time of checking in and taking advance that buffet will not be provided. Not accepted from a brand like this. Felt like i booked a small guesthouse or an oyo room. There was no hot water for few hours in the morning. Asked to provide extra blanket and team recommended to use AC Hot feature, which is not advisable.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Aranya Vilas , Udaipur. The location of the property is superb as it is well connected with major tourist attractions. The City palace and Lake Pichola are just at a stone's throw. The place is green and peaceful. Our luxury villas were spacious,clean and comfortable. For the convenience of my super senior mother, we were given villas opposite to the restaurant. On request they also provided us with a wheelchair throughout our stay. It was my brother's birthday so they sent us a complimentary pastry size cake which was really appreciated. Food was good and they customised it for us too. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. I would like to specially thank Ms.Kusum (front desk) Sukhu, Sangeeta, Devi Lal, Harkesh, Kanta and Kamlesh, who made our stay comfortable and cherishable. A few suggestions - they can improve the area at the backside of the villas. The height of the WCs was quite low making it difficult without the grab bar specially for senior citizens. As the resort is built quite recently they could have better facilities like handwash, shower gel and shampoo dispensers. To give a natural look to the resort, lights are very dim at night and gets totally dark after 12.00 am making it difficult to move around. Some extra light was needed in the rooms too. Food has scope for improvement. Specially it needs to be warmer at breakfast time. Overall a great stay!

Kamlesh bhai & Ramesh bhai I loved the decoration cause it’s done by natural way no artificial decorative material materials. It was superb decoration done by this two staff member.

I wish I could give 0 star. Especially to the unprofessional GM of the hotel. Who doesn't know how to speak with customer and have not courtesy. If you want to book using positive review go ahead but read this if you think you can ignore following by paying premium rates go ahead: 1. No privacy in the room. All rooms are located on walk way path, there are only few in front of gardens. So if you open a window which is in front of bed, and bathroom everything visible to people walking outside. There is not even privacy blinds installed in window to get the day light. So All the time keep the curtains close and live in room lights without fresh air. 2. Staff are not trained properly. Very poor restaurant service, they don't even care to close the gates to avoid flies. hardly 1-2 people to serve during pick breakfast time and that too not trained. tables are not cleaned after one guest completes the breakfast, trash below the table. So its terrible experience. 3. The so called GM of the hotel. Not seen any GM likes this in premium hotel, who doesn't allow customer to speak and keeps on arguing and do unprofessional behavior. Doesn't care to compliment the customer if anything is missing on their end. 4. Restaurant is having very limited food option and that to very costly, it may cost around Rs.500 per person to have dinner. 5. Doesn't have golf cart to go to the room. 6. Unwelcoming check in and checkout 7. They charge 40-50% higher than MRP charges for the snacks provided in room, which they can't charge. 8. Only provide one room key, so if you have kids and once they sleep if you want to room around you can't as you have to call the reception to unlock the door. 9. Many booking portal that they provide rs.500 food voucher but you can only redeem if you bill goes about Rs.2500 so again hidden terms and cheat. 10. Not a decent swimming pool For me it was not worth it except the palace and lake pichola was near by so we don't had to travel far.

I stayed at Aranya Vilas, Udaipur in first of week of October 2025, and had a fantastic experience overall. I booked the Bath Tub Villa, and it truly lived up to expectations. The location is a major plus – centrally situated, with all major sightseeing spots just a short auto ride away at minimal fares. It made getting around the city very convenient. Ex. City Palace, Karni Matha temple, Hathi Pol, Lok Dharohar - is in the same premises The property was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful, lot of space for kids to run around. What stood out most was the excellent service – the staff were consistently courteous and attentive. Special thanks to Amber and Sukhu, who made the stay even more comfortable with their warm hospitality and helpful attitude. Honestly, I had no complaints – everything was well managed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Aranya Vilas to anyone looking for a comfortable and centrally located stay in Udaipur.

We stayed for 4 nights in this resort. As name suggests it gives feel like staying in Aranya. Lot of trees around. Group of monkeys wandering around. Individual huts are beautiful. Size is big. It feels nice to just walk around in the resort. Location is very good. City palace/ Lake is just walking distance away. Food was okay.

The property is near to lake Pichhola, nice concept and beautifully designed property. The food was good. The room size was big Cons: Service needs improvement, breakfast was not good, when checked in no light in the room so had to shift to a new room, mosquitoes in the room and the repellent was missing, hot water not working, bathtub was not clean. Lot of bats around the property hanging on trees which scared my kids just a personal opinion. Staff was good and helpful. Overall needs improvement to live up to 5 Star standard. I paid 15.5 k for one night and did not feel value for money.

Stay was excellent and extremely comfortable. Good service and hospitality. Food was good. Gym, SPA, were excellent.

A wonderful property to stay at in Udaipur, surrounded by lush greenery. We stayed for two days with family and had a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Due to the natural setting with greenery and ponds, you might come across a few small insects and flies. The swimming pool was clean, and there were good indoor game options available for young children.

The place was so cool, the environment was exotic and Nathan served me so well it is good to enjoy for a family reunion I recommend having exquisite food and enjoying pure nature and it is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers I really enjoyed it ....

Great Service at the restaurant. Suku took great care and recommended the best dishes. Great place to stay. Very quite and serene. The rooms are very clean. The outdoor area is very well maintained. Highly recommended for family. Would definitely visit again.

Its was horrible experience there and all because of quality of food. Food was really bad even though if its Rajasthani or typical north indian food like butter chicken. One thing have to mentioned here service was really great. Rooms are also good but food was not a great decision. Apart from that if u give any suggestions or feedback on food thet are not ready to accept.
