The Baths Natural Hot Springs

The property is absolutely amazing! Loved the baths, the warm and cold pools, the hiking trails and the on-site spa. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay and enjoyed the privacy that my unit provided.

Nothing really. Just to note that the property may need minor TLC in the areas of general maintenance; like the sealant by the shower that was no longer existent causing water to pool on the floor.

The accommodation had no facilities for hanging wet towels and costumes. Our unit (Dwarsgebou 16) was dark and soulless. No bedside lights upstairs. The bathroom needs upgrading with space to put towels, toiletries and clothing. The kitchen needs a functioning drying rack and one stove plate was broken. The outside sitting space/ braai area was not a pleasant space. The restaurant food we had -pizzas and calamari-was not very good. The hot water pool was closed for 4 hours for cleaning. This information should be given on the website.

A little noisy being in a unit in the main building near the entertainment hall. Top floor room had a triangular window which could not be covered by curtains.

Everything was really clean, well equipped, well looked after. I absolutely love the small pools at the top as well as the large hot pool. I think the baths is one of my favourite places in the world.

It would be nice if there were mats in the bedrooms, and a cheese grater would be Handy. But really no complaints.

Each unit has it's own jacuzzi.

Paying R3200 per night for first unit and R1900 for second unit that is exactly the same size. It did not make any sense. No amenities such as shampoo, shower gel. Only handwash supplied

Situated in the mountains, beautiful Nature. Quaint cottages, well equipped.

Uncomfortable and quite scary staircase to the only bathroom in the apartment. Not really suitable for older people. Handrail leading into swimming pool unsteady. Caused injury to one person in group.

The chalet was beautiful and clean, and the surroundings are very peaceful.

For the price it would have been nice to at least have coffee, tea and sugar and even a braai grid. The chalet floors are cold, so carpets next to the bed would have been welcomed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend the burgers from the restaurant. Great location, we also enjoyed the hiking trails.

It would have been nice to have some coffee, tea, and milk in the apartment.

Our main reason for visiting was the hot springs and hiking routes. The place was clean and well maintained and did not disappoint. The restaurant served a basic, but very satisfying menu and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

We booked a very expensive flat which in the description said private entrance, outdoor furniture, outdoor dining space and braai. Only to find out the private entrance is not the case, there was no outdoor furniture, the braai is not joined to the flat but it’s a shared communal braai space a little bit away from the flat, the outdoor dining space was a metal table with no chairs that is also shared with the other guests. I would not have booked that unit if I had known the situation about the outside area. The description was extremely misleading and the price for 3 nights vs what we got was so disappointing. We raised this with their front of house who seemed to not really care, their response was it was booking.coms fault and that we shouldn’t book via booking.com because it’s cheaper to go directly through the property (I mean how must we know that). So the attitude was not their problem and we must deal with it. I’ve only ever previously camped at the baths so I am so so sad and disappointed with the way they handled that. Another note is that the room says it has WiFi. Well the only WiFi connection you can get is on the windowsill and then you only get one bar of on and off signal. We specifically booked the unit instead of camping because we had to work during our trip and needed the WiFi. So for almost R9k for three nights I feel like we got taken for a ride. If the front of house were a bit more accommodating with the mix up on the booking.com issue then I would not be writing such a negative review but their attitude was really just not what you expect for the price you pay.

Everything was immaculately clean. The rooms were clean had everything we needed good quality linen. Really lovely to stay there. I didn’t see any litter around the pools along the walks. Very well run the water is so clean the pools are clean. absolutely 100 reasons to go there.

Honestly there was nothing I was unhappy about. Perhaps they could’ve had a potato mash in the self catering but that was a small issue.

Should have Solar lights by the natural baths for evening. The stove was very old in the chalet. Could be upgraded.

Spa and hot swimming great. Little store with basics you can use. Rooms are very clean and showers are hot. The resort itself is very quiet and comfy, there are regular campers and guests that are very friendly. The springs are super relaxing and boiling hot, it's a true gem. There is strict enforcement of the rules, so you don't have to worry about parties etc disturbing your peace. Security excellent. We stayed in the cabins outside, which worried me as I drive a regular car, but the road is paved and very well-maintained. Night is beautiful, with lots of stars. We had a few jackals sniffing around the cabin at night, and of course baboons, which made us feel like we were truly enjoying nature.

It would be good to supply the cabins with a braai grid. Service road also not in a good shape, but very drivable. Cabins are also very cold in winter, a rug would help.

The atmosphere was relaxing and appreciated the quietness.

The stairway up to the accommodation. It made it very difficult to get our suitcases to our rooms. The rock pools had no lighting, so you can't access it after sunset.

The drive in and out from N7 along the potholed Baths road You are very isolated with no local/easily assessable activities besides the amazing hot pools. We like to explore the surrounds of new areas we visit but they were all too far away to drive too. There wasn't anything close by

Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant. We had lunch there, which was good.

There could be more guidance about temperature control of the jacuzzi. We appreciated that it was hot when we got there but cooling it to a good temperature was tricky.

The Baths is always a wonderful experience. The requirement to bring bathing towels is a bit of a problem and would be lovely to rent on site. The restaurant staff is always friendly, helpful and flexible- much appreciated. Please keep the prices reasonable so I can enjoy your facilities for many more years. All the best.

The place was amazing, and the people around were very friendly. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived, and the warm pools were fantastic.

Please note that when advertising my booking, it stated that a hot tub bath was included. However, when I called to double-check, I was informed that my booking does not include the hot tub option. This was quite upsetting, as it felt like false advertising. Kindly please look into your advertising to avoid misleading future guests.

first time visitor. wife and i loved the bathe , the pools and the jacuzzi , and the peace and quiet , other guests all friendly , all also on relaxed mode ... very pleasant , already planning next trip .

price of coffee at restaurant , but will just bring own next time as all facilities are in the room and very well maintained .

The Hot water pool was very nice in the cooler weather. We loved our meals in the Restaurant, friendly staff and good food.

Our cottage felt like a brand new house. I was at the Baths several years ago and Im really impressed by the upkeep of the facilities and the quality finishes. The facilities was clean and comfortable. An absolute gem!

The only reccomendation I have is for them to expand the current resturant small shop to a farm stall with a wider variety of fresh fruit and veg and include some farm breads and meat. It would also be great of they could package the story of the Springs where you can read more about the history of the springs and its benefits from the perspective of the indigenous San People.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön. Es gab einen privaten Whirlpool, der bei der Ankunft bereits vorgeheizt war. Die Aussicht vom Balkon war traumhaft. Es gab eine Feuerstelle zum Grillen. Die heißen Quellen waren ein paar Minuten Autofahrt entfernt. Besonders war das Baden unter dem Sternenhimmel. Die beiden Wanderwege haben uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich!

Both the mountain and the swimming pool hot and cold springs were incredibly rejuvenating. The surrounding kloofs were beautiful. The braai area outside our unit was very enjoyable in the evening.

Was a little disappointed we only had one bathroom but it wasn't a problem. We had Jimmy house and was quite surprised it was so far away from the pools but it wasn't a problem.

The staff were amazing. They accommodated me when I accidentally booked the wrong date. They facilitated in getting my bag back, when I left it behind. Thank you to the staff.

The rooms were very clean and tidy. Staff really friendly. The swimming pool and hot pools were clean and amazingly warm. Love the 24 access to the pool area.

The Hot Tub is a nice touch. The two braai areas are also a bonus. The unit is private, but you still feel safe.
