Die Inhaberin war sehr nett und freundlich. Die Lage ist gut Der Pool sah auch sehr einladend aus

Leider gibt es viele Dinge. -Die Klimaanlage kühlt den Raum fast gar nicht runter. -die Dusche ist leider beim Abfluss sehr zu bemängeln. Schimmel und auch der Putz ist an der Stelle defekt -es roch durchgehend nach Abfluss in dem Bad -die Betten sind extrem unbequem (viel Zu weich und durchgelegend) und teilweise auch defekt. -das Bettlaken ist voller Pilling (sehr alt und zu ersetzen) -nur ein Bettbezug als Decke

L’endroit est très sympa, à l’écart de l’animation donc c’est très bien pour se reposer. La chambre est grande avec une très bonne literie ! Les propriétaires sont super sympas et nous ont accueillis avec un cocktail de bienvenue sur leur rooftop qui est très agréable. La vue sur le coucher de soleil est splendide ! Gros plus avec l’espace détente au bord de la piscine qui est vraiment très cool !!

Le petit déjeuner est très bon (produits frais et recettes faites maison) mais la quantité est un peu faible par rapport au prix. Même si l’établissement est en pleine nature, il y a quand même un peu trop de gekos dans la chambre (notamment sur le plafond).

Un véritable petit coin de paradis. Ce resort est tout simplement exceptionnel: cadre magnifique, ambiance paisible et prestations de grande qualité. Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence, ce sont les propriétaires — des personnes rares, d’une gentillesse et d’une bienveillance incroyables. On se sent accueilli comme chez des amis, avec une attention sincère à chaque détail, petit déjeuner délicieux, apéro sunset au roof top, magique . Une expérience inoubliable que je recommande les yeux fermés.

The hosts were very nice and friendly and gave great information about the island and thier breakfast was home made and exceptional .highly recommended

deluxe rooms excellent size rooms kept very clean regular linen change mini bar was nice to have owners charming and available cleaning and maintenance staff very lovely Breakfast excellent although we mainly ate lunch and dinner out so didn't need breakfast Sunset bar lovely but we didn't use as proffered to be at the beach There isn't a nice local beach in Balain but its very close to Lonely Beach/Nature Beach which is only 5 minutes by car or moped and easy to catch the taxi from outside the resort. Balain is a perfect location as you can easily travel to beaches north and south and within 5 minutes walk of Lazy Republique, you can walk to about 12 or more places to eat. There are also a couple of small bars, small stories for essential items. it was great as you didn't have to get any transport at night, you could just walk out to eat. It was also easy, quick and cheap to go into Lonely Beach or Kai Bae if you wanted some nightlife. we had a car but also used taxis. the parking is onsite and excellent. having seen many accommodations on the island, we felt lucky to have chosen Lazy Republique. It was a fair price and the property was well kept. Many properties on the island are in a poor state of repair. So in summary, perfect choose if you dont mind hopping on and off the local cheap taxis or if you have transport. not the right choice if you want to be directly by a nice beach. We stayed 3 weeks.

I was lucky enough to have had one of the new mattresses, which was medium firm and very comfortable, much better than the mattress I had to start. I understand the owners are now going to change all of them.

Super séjour au Lazy Republique, Fred et Pilou sont aux petits soins sur tous les plans. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement !

Een hele mooie locatie; een ruim, groen terrein waar links en rechts van een pad de huisjes staan. Bij aankomst zie je eerst het zwembad en daarachter het huis met ontbijtruimte en daarboven de gezellige bar. Je ziet de zee op de achtergrond. Elke ochtend en eind vd dag kwam er een grote groep neushoornvogels die dan een tijdje zaten en vlogen rondom een specifieke boom. Fascinerend om te bekijken. Het resortje ligt aan het begin van een rustig dorpje. 10 minuten lopen is er een schattig klein strand. De eigenaren zijn enorm vriendelijk, gezellig, behulpzaam.

Ook besproken, we vonden het matras erg hard. Er komt een nieuwe ;-)

Nous avons été extrêmement bien accueillis par Fred et Pilou. Ils ont été de très bons conseils sur les endroits à voir, les restaurants, les plages. Fred nous a réservé une sortie snorkeling ainsi que les taxis pour l'aller et le retour. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse face à la mer et à la piscine est topissime, Fred cuisine de délicieuses cocottes, ses confitures sont excellentes. La chambre est très calme et située à côté de la jungle, le chant des oiseaux fait office de réveil. Les cocktails de Pilou sont parfaits ! Mention spéciale pour le mojito fruit de la passion :) Le ménage est fait tous les jours et le jardin est magnifique et très bien entretenu. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à repartir de cet endroit paradisiaque... Merci encore pour votre accueil Fred et Pilou!

Le matelas était un peu dur pour nous mais nous avons bien dormi quand même.

Leider waren in den beiden Bungalows überall rote Ameisen; im Bett, unter der Matratze, unterm dem Bett und im Badezimmer. Einfach überall. Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig.

The owners and all the guests in the short time I met them were lovely . Even though I woke 2 people up 2 nights on the trot . Without alcohol . But they were lovely and a credit to any one who stay there will not be disappointed ❤️🦅🙏💫

This was our first time on Koh Chang and we were looking for somewhere that was away from the busy resorts but close enough for walking to bars and beaches . Lazy Republique was ideal ! The rooms were practical and for 14days gave us everything we needed. The owners Pilou and Fred were exceptional hosts giving us many restaurant/ tour recommendations. Fred’s breakfasts were fabulous especially the home made treats that were offered several mornings whilst we were there. Also, leaving the best till last Pilous cocktails were top notch 😋.. you must give these a try especially his mai tai’s ! A fabulous stay on a wonderful island Good value all round

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Republique; it felt like coming home to family from the very first minute. The resort is located in a small, quiet town (with lots of excellent restaurants just around the corner, all within walking distance), right in the middle of the jungle. The bungalows are clean, spacious, and set in a beautifully maintained garden, with views of the sea. The best part of this place is the owners, Fred and Pilou. They truly care about their guests and are always available for a chat, recommendations around the island, or anything else you might need. We loved Fred’s amazing French breakfasts, and in the evenings, the fresh cocktails made by Pilou. Besides the Mai Tai, the Margarita is highly recommended as well! All in all, we loved our stay here and think it’s one of the best places on the island. We will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect!

The owners were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed.

The food and drink were a bit on the pricey side compared to other restaurants and bars but there were plenty of options nearby.

De accomodatie was super! Heerlijk rustig, schoon en goede bedden. Ook het ontbijt was erg lekker (met de huisgemaakte jam en yoghurt!). De bar was steeds erg gezellig, met goede muziek en leuk gezelschap. Zeker een aanrader!

Quand le hasard fait bien les choses, les egrégores s'installent et le destin joue ses gammes à la perfection ❤️  Pilou et Fred (nos hôtes) ont tout simplement étaient les meilleurs hôtes que nous avons eu à ce jour. En locaux qui connaissent très bien Koh Chang, ils ont été d'excellents conseils pour toutes nos activités, les points d'intérêts, les restaurants... Ils nous ont facilité le séjour et se sont occupés de nous comme de vrais invités dans leur demeure. Merci infiniment à eux.  Lazy republique est un lieu paradisiaque géré par des gens exceptionnels et qui permet la rencontre avec de belles personnes. Nous recommandons à 1000% et reviendrons sans nul doute ! +++ Nous retiendrons les succulents petits déjeuners (merci Fred) et le meilleur bar rooftop de Koh Chang qui sert des Mojitos au top avec des playlists musicales de méloman ! (merci Pilou).

Tout est Extra ! L’accueil et le petit verre de bienvenue( c’est tellement rare) Fred a réservé pour les excursions , et nous a conseillé pour trouver les plages sympas . La piscine est parfaite pour finir la journée . Les jardins sont magnifiques

Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und offen. Sie haben uns unterstützt bei Fragen und bei Anliegen sofort gehandelt. Unser Bungalow war sehr komfortabel für 2 Personen. Alles war sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. In der Nähe gibt es einige gute Resteraunts, so braucht man abends nicht Mal ein Taxi. Ich kann die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen!

Das einzige, was ich anmerken würde, wäre mehr Ablagefläche im Badezimmer. Aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit.

Die Eigentümer und die Angestellten waren sehr zuvorkommend. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Der Poolbereich war schön und die Lage ist für alle die kein Strandhotel benötigen, sehr gut.

Die Matratze war leider viel zu hart und unbequem.

Sehr-sehr schöne Anlage! Viel Natur und Ruhe! Die französischen Inhaber sind einfach fantastisch! Unglaublich leckeres europäisches Frühstück mit vielen selbst gemachten Zutaten, was täglich a la Card bestellt wird, wie man möchte! Wir hatten hier eine unvergessliche Zeit - herzlichen Dank dafür!

Bailan Bay hat keinen schönen Strand. Aber mit dem Taxi kommt man für kleines Geld überall hin - alles gar kein Problem!

Séjour extra en compagnie de fred et pilou qui se plient en 4 pour nous rendre la vie plus agréable, des personnes très humaines ❤. Tout y est parfait, les bungalows, la piscine, la vue , l'emplacement près des plages, des restaurants, boutiques , excursion snorkling.... Un petit coup de cœur pour le petit dej qui est délicieux, à la carte et surtout tout fait maison !!! Et sans oublier les fameux cocktails extras de pilou . Merci bcp encore fred et pilou pour votre côté humain surdimentionné , on reviendra sans hésiter pour un 2e voyage en Thaïlande !!😊

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit einer tollen Anlage und herzlichen Gastgebern. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Das Personal war unfassbar freundlich. Fred und Pilou waren so tolle und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Sie helfen einem bei jeder Angelegenheit und haben sehr gute Empfehlungen für alles. Wir haben es geliebt, abends noch das ein oder andere Getränk in ihrer Bar zu genießen. Wir haben 6 Nächte dort verbracht und es hätten noch viele mehr sein können. Fliegengitter überall und die A/C war auch sehr gut. Für uns die perfekte Unterkunft:)

Great service, air cons are working good and installed not in front of the bed, so it makes it possible to sleep with them on. It is very quiet around there. Beds are nice.

Amazing service. The resort is located in a very quiet place. Aircons are very new and working good. The landlords are extremely attentive. Very good conversations, warm and welcoming attitude. To be honest, the breakfasts here were the best I have ever tried in Thailand for two years of my stay. Thanks to Pilou and Fred! See you in the future!

The hosts were very welcoming and displayed a genuine charm and grace. We enjoyed the units that we were in and the choice of delightful breakfasts. It was close to some delightful cafes and a short drive to good swimming beaches.

What a special place this is. One of our top stays while we have been travelling Thailand over the past month. My partner and I had such a magical time at Lazy Republique. The pool is gorgeous, especially at night. Pilou and Fred are so passionate about their place and that really shines through. The bungalows are all set in their own little private areas with outdoor seating. We loved they cleaned it every day as well. The facilities are all beautiful and very well maintained. This area of the island was also our favourite. Set in the south, much quieter with a nice beach within walking g distance. And the most wonderful restaurant next door called ‘Coconut Cafe’ Would highly recommend!

What a wonderful place ! We described Lazy Republique as our “Jungle Paradise”. Excellent, comfortable accommodation, set in a lush, green environment with close access to local bars, restaurants and beaches. Transport is easily available for those wishing to explore further afield. Lazy Republique has a lovely pool and sun terrace. There is a lovely bar where many residents meet to enjoy the panoramic views of sunset whilst enjoying drinks and conversation. There is a very homely feel to Lazy Republique- created by our wonderful hosts, Pilou and Fred who are so warm, welcoming and helpful, they felt more like friends who we had known for years. Finally - I must mention the breakfast- so, so good and absolutely recommended! A truly superb place to stay!

We loved it here. The owners are super nice, very helpful and go out of their way to provide you with a great experience. The pool area is beautiful and even though the place was fully booked, we mostly had it to ourselves. The bungalows are stylish and spacious enough, and everything was super clean. We would absolutely stay here again.

Pretty much perfect! Owners are great, super friendly, interesting and informative. Urban bungalows in the garden are fully equipped and best bed I’ve slept in in Thailand. Location wise also the best spot on the island. Would come back and will of course recommend. Keep up the absolute magic of this place! Thank you for everything.

Gorgeous place! Huts are well spaced out in a green garden so you have some privacy. The room large, clean and well furnished so can unpack. The pool area heavenly. Breakfasts delicious and so much choice. The couple running it are friendly and helpful.

It’s a lovely place, peace and preserved. Fred and Pilou are so nice and giving the best advices. It’s a really good place to end our trip. The breakfast is delicious and the bar for the sunset an awesome place.

We loved the whole vibe at Lazy Republique. The apartments had everything you need, beautiful pool and it was a great location to explore Ko Chang. The highlight for us was the warm hospitality and kindness from the hosts, Fred + Pilou. Great island knowledge, wonderful breakfast and delicious cocktails at sunset.

What a great place to stay. Rooms are spacious, bathroom as well. Super well maintained and shower actually had some decent water pressure. The hosts were super helpful, went out of their way to arrange a transfer to a place where not many public transport goes to.

Lovely little bungalows, the site is so nice and relaxing. Really appreciated all the advice, really helped us to get the most out of the stay on the island. It's near some nice restaurants too (go to coconut cafe!!) We enjoyed the breakfasts, would say they are worth paying extra for. We liked staying in a quieter part of the island.

Not much to not like! The nearest beach was very nice but is a little walk away which was fine for us but might not be for everyone.

Mr Pilou and Mrs Fred are PERFECT hosts! They invited us to their bar for a welcome drink and also bought us a farewell glass of wine! ❤️🇫🇷🇹🇭 The bungalows are perfect - situated in the garden, up a gentle slope. They have hot showers, fridge, safe/security box, air conditioning, free sustainable water bottles and cold water. The breakfasts were amazing!! I recommend the ‘cocottes’. Mrs Fred booked all our onward travel and transfers for a VERY good price. Mr Fred gave us great recommendations for eating and helped us with our French!!

Everything was perfect

Fred and Pilou are absolutely brilliant hosts. Nothing it too much trouble, they will sort out bike/car hire, transfers and have great local knowledge. Fred's French breakfasts are better than any I've had in France:-) The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Efficient air con. The location, for us, was perfect. Restaurants 50 to 300 metres away. The Coconut Kitchen next door was our favourite. Better quality and half the price of some others. We preferred the centre to south of Koh Chang. So Lazy Republic is perfect If you don't rent a bike ir car it's still very easy to move around. Just walk to the road and wait for one of the pickup truck shared taxis.

The owners were incredibly helpful and the hotel itself was lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Great place in a quiet village Bailan. 7 min on motorbike to the best beach of an island - Lonley beach. Very good restaurants and massage in a walking distance. Chill atmosphere, very friendly and supportive owners, very comfortable bungalows. Enjoyed our stay there!

Great stay at Lazy République !! Very good location on the island, plenty of food and massage options around Bailan, which is a nice and quiet neighbourhood, just a hop from Lonely Beach and Bang Bao pier by scooter. We’ve got a very warm welcome by Fred and Pilou the owners, confortable room with with all needed amenities. We’ll definitely come back !

Very relaxing and peaceful place, also has a nice swimming pool. The owners Pilou and Fréd are really nice people, more like friends than hosts.

The curtains in the room could be perhaps a bit thicker, so that the light doesn't wake you up early in the case where you have been partying late 😂

Good location in a small village just outside of the busier areas. The host were very welcoming and offere valuable insight in to the island with recommendation to eat or places to visit.

The atmosphere and the hosts . The bar was a nice place to hang out and chat with the owners but also other hotel guests . I always got great recommendations and the owners can arrange tours for you . I loved the pool and how quiet it was on the property . No noisy guests or crowds- everything was super relaxing . Their cat is also super adorable !

That I had to leave . I would have loved to stay longer ! Definitly would come back :)

Fantastic resort with large and comfortable bungalows surrounded by beautiful trees. Pool area is new, spacious and very cozy. Large bathroom and great water pressure in the shower. Bed was amazing. Owners and staff are very helpful and kind.

Amazing stay in koh chang! The owners, Pilou and Fred, were very welcoming and helpful. They gave recommendations for all the best spots and places to visit on the island which did not disappoint! They will also help book you onto activities, such as the boat trip we did around some coral reefs on the koh rang national park which was an unbelievable place to see. Thank you

Clean and friendly establishment.

A bit away from beach where beach access is through a resort on the other side of village. WiFi was only intermittently working in our cabin.
