Location and family was welcoming

I booked balcony view double room but they said they dont have double room , all there rooms were single and balcony room was occupied by someone else

L’environnement du Homestay est incroyable en pleine nature, pas très loin d’une rivière (dont on entend le bruit). Sur les conseils du propriétaire nous avons fait appel à Sijo (comme taxi) durant notre séjour, très sympa de naviguer dans les environs de Munnar avec lui. Petit déjeuner et dîner simples et très bons.

Amazing location into nature. Very comfortable big room, very clean, fresh bedsheets and towels, good breakfast and very nice owners....and pets. We had a great dinner there twice for a very reasonable price. We asked for not spicy food for the children and it was the first time after 5 weeks in India that they enjoyed their curry so much! We loved the food too. Breakfast was very good. Everything was freshly made. Close to a river that sadly we didn't have time to visit, but been told by other tourist that we could have had a swim. A/C, hot water and fan working well. Good parking too. Amazing value for money. Highly recommend. I was so pleased with the accommodation we chose!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Thoppil Homestay, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Munnar trip. The property is surrounded by so much greenery that it genuinely feels like you’re living inside a spice plantation. Everywhere you look, there are cardamom, pepper, nutmeg, cocoa, cinnamon and so many other plants. Waking up to the sound of birds, clouds rolling over the hills, and the peaceful atmosphere was an experience in itself. There’s even a beautiful stream and a small waterfall just a short walk from the property, which made the stay even more special. The hospitality deserves a special mention. The hosts were incredibly warm, friendly and always ready to help. They helped us plan our itinerary, suggested places to visit based on the weather, and arranged whatever we needed during our stay. And the food… absolutely amazing! The home-cooked meals were fresh, authentic and full of flavour. The chicken biryani was hands down the star of our stay :) it was so good that we’ll probably remember it for a long time! If you’re looking for a peaceful stay away from the crowd, surrounded by nature with genuinely caring hosts and delicious home-cooked food, I can’t recommend Thoppil Homestay enough. We’d love to come back again.

Index in stove for coffee, heating, et cetera, would have been very good

Loved the home-cooked food. The family were the most amazing bunch and caring. They helped us out of every problem - including our cab to Calicut. The river nearby is the highlight. The spice garden, the flowers and boota.

It is my fault that I didn't check the ground-floor budget room... the other rooms are much cooler... will definitely check out the other rooms on my next visit here.

We like it all. The peaceful atmosphere, the tranquility of the home, the amazing hosts, the tasty homecooked food and their Dog Buto. The nearby river.

Homely atmosphere, basic facilities, simple and tasty food freshly prepared with love . Located amidst natural surroundings, away from the bustling city.

If one does not have a vehicle,it might be difficult to access the property as it is some distance away from the main road , down a hill.

Nearby river, calm enviroment, peaceful middle of the forest kind of vibe, excellent food and courteous family who attended us.

There was a dog, cats and there was a stream near the the homestay that was in a walkable distance.

The place was very homely and green. We traveled with a pet and didn't have any issues.

The approach road is narrow and steep, so it is difficult to navigate, esp if some other vehicles come from the opposite direction The place is a bit far from Munnar if you are planning Munnar siteseeing.

Fantastic hosts, couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating throughout the stay.

Die Umgebung war sehr schön und ruhig. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer sehr schön. Der Balkon ebenfalls. Die Gastgeber hilfsbereit.

Die Ausstattung war sehr basic und lieblos. Das Badezimmer sehr einfach und ungemütlich. Es gab Schimmel und Kakerlaken.

Très bon accueil par les propriétaires. En pleine nature avec le chant des oiseaux. Chambre au 1er étage avec 1 petit balcon très agréable. Repas très bon , copieux et pas cher. Le fils du propriétaire m'a communiqué les coordonnées de Philip "greatthing adventures package" pour une randonnée. Très bonne information et agence sérieuse. (prendre en compte 45mn en voiture pour Munnar seulement à 20km, mais route étroite, de la circulation et beaucoup de travaux)

-Pas d'eau chaude à la douche, seulement au robinet. -Moquette au sol.

Le décors est magnifique, les oiseaux, les plantations, une mini jungle dans le Kerala. L'hôte très serviable, et n'hésite pas à régler des problèmes de logistique avec les tuktuk. C'est appréciable.

Le fond sonore de la cascade à côté de la maison.

Actually, we liked everything. . Very nice and relaxing place, surrounded by beautiful nature. Very nice owners and pets (dog and cats). You feel welcome from the very first second and we enjoyed every minute. Unfortunately, we stayed only for one night. Next time we want definetly stay a view days. Homemade food was also very delicious.

It's a beautiful place.In addition The owners of the house were welcoming and the food was very delicious. It was an amazing experience. And it was my first to to visit munnar and kerala as general, and it motivate me to repeat the trip, I hope we can come back again and spend a longer time.

La posizione in mezzo alla natura rigogliosa, la famiglia molto gentile e davvero disponibile, la cena e le colazioni che ci hanno preparato davvero ottime. Bellissima la loro casa e anche portico dove rilassarsi. Simpaticissimo il loro cane.

La stanza assegnata un po' datata, la doccia specificherei nella descrizione che ha acqua fredda e serve il secchio per avere l acqua calda.

Wonderful property, peaceful and green, perfect if you look to relax in the nature. We stayed in the room upstairs, which was spacious, comfortable, and had a private balcony. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinners. Wish we could stay longer!

It's definitely easier to reach the place if you have a car. It's not a criticism, just something to consider. We were relying on public transport, and there's a bus stop 1km from the property with local buses running frequently between Kochi and Munnar. It takes around 30min to reach Munnar. The hosts can also help you with arranging a tuktuk.

Location of this home stay was excellent. The sound of the waterfall which is very near to the property could be heard from the home and was a soothing experience. The place was beautifully maintained. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming. A special thanks to PAVI for accompanying us to the waterfall and also for his guidance on local spots to visit. Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable stay..

The homestay and its family are a true example of a homely stay when we travel away from our homes. The homestay is exceptionally brilliant and worth a penny. The ambiance, the food, and the nature around it are unforgettable. The hosts and the pets a dog named " BUTO " and a cat named " Simba " are added bonanza for pet lovers.

I can't think of anything that I can say I did not like about the property or its owners or the kind of hosting.

The serene environment and the friendly hosts with a antique style home and well curated garden around was the best part

The room was spacious with a beautiful balcony but had a odd smell maybe because of the carpet lay. Overall it was great.

This is the best place in munnar. We booked 2 rooms. One on the ground floor and another on the first floor. This whole place is surrounded by nature. It's very clean and neat. We loved the food. They provided the best tasty food and we enjoyed the Kerala style cooking and stay. It's the best place ☺️☺️☺️... We will definitely come back. Super Friendly Character

We loved the location, right in the middle of the jungle. Very kind family, from the daughter and son to the parents and grandparents! It was great to be surrounded by all kind of fruit and spice trees. Our room had an amazing view to the forest and the sounds of nature were really unique.

The stay was great, the food was delicious, and the breakfast could be a bit earlier (around 7:30 am). But the highlight of my trip was Bhuto, the dog! He was absolutely adorable and acted like a true gentleman

Thoppil homestay is not a homestay it's home away from home , we felt like staying at home , and the food was awesome here , the house is clean and well maintained , friendly owners , overall we enjoyed staying here and we will come back here again and will recommend to people who are coming to Munnar ,

The family was very courteous and welcoming, though we arrived after dark. They were also accommodating and catered to our dinner request which we placed while on our way there. Their breakfast also was wholesome, considering that we asked for something off their usual menu. Those travelling with pets will find that the property offers ample space for them to run around.

It would have been nice to view photos of all the rooms that are on offer at the homestay property. This would give the customers a choice of the room that they would like to stay in. If this was the case, we might have chosen one of the other rooms. Having said that, the room we stayed in wasn't uncomfortable, it was adequate for an overnight stay.

Location is awesome, for rest, calm place in the middle of forest.

Bit far from Munnar, if you are planning only for Munnar, With 4 Wheeler, you can plan for this place, food is the problem as it is away from city. Host provide good food, breakfast was Kerala traditional, dinner you need to plan in advance as they need time to prepare depending on number of guests. Please check for details with the host to order dinner.

Fabulous. Fabulous. Beautiful location and so peaceful. Amazing birdsong, especially early mornings. Neesha, Manoj, Pavi and all the family are so accommodating and helpful. Butto their labrador is gorgeous. Neesha's food is delicious. 2 nights was simply not enough. We hope to return.

The location was great, hospitality of the host was incredible, they showed us around their property, which is basically spice and fruit garden. The host was nice, took good care of us and helped us also to arrange the driver for our trips around. The host was also exceptionally good cook and homemade breakfast and dinner were very delicious.

The location of the property is down a spur from the main highway about 2-3km, situated in a calm and beautiful valley. The home-cooked meals provided for breakfast and lunch were excellent, and the host family was very polite and welcoming. Beautiful family home with a working garden filled with fruit trees, flowers, and shrubs - truly serene and lovely. Bed and furnishings were clean and comfortable, and the WiFi and other amenities worked well.

The location was a bit far from the main attractions and it was a bit inconvenient at times to find transportation, but with proper planning and communication, it can be managed without much issue.
