Kavidi Villa Home Stay

We had a great stay here. The rooms are nice and very clean and there is a big bathroom with hot water. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to silent beach and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Kavidi is a great host, she gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area and was always available to help with any request. We had breakfast included which was really good and huge portions. Would recommend to stay here.

This is a great homestay, with a loving couple and their adorable daughter. The bed is comfortable, breakfast is great and AC works perfectly. The owners will really go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Highly recommended!

It's a homestay, so not a five star resort with all luxuries or anything. Not a negative thing for me personally, but just something to know.

Kavidi is a fantastic host who was extremely caring and super nice and supportive. She organized a safari trip for us and helped us with other questions as well. The accommodation itself is very clean and organized and you have everything you need. It’s a 5 minute walk to silent beach which was great as well. Not that many (good) restaurants around however.

We had two dinners at Kavidi’s place. The first one was great and very tasty. However, the second one felt like it was just the rests from the day before as it was largely the same curries as on the day before and served cold as well. Maybe it was just a “mistake” once but if you are thinking of eating there, maybe double check before if there is fresh food made that day. They also offer a TukTuk service, however, quite at a premium compared to other drivers in the area. We asked for a trip to Hiriketiya and were offered 2500 rupees. We found someone that brought us there for below 1500.

Fantastic location near beautiful Silent beach, small homestay run by lovely family. The room was clean and breakfast was delicious. Great value for money.

I don’t know where to start about Kavindi’s place. First of all I think it was the cleanest room I had in my stay in Sri Lanka, super quiet and the bad extremely comfortable. Kavindi and her husband are very friendly and super helpful, trying to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Breakfast and dinner were huge and super tasty. I had an awesome stay at Kavidi Villa. The room was very clean and modern with air-conditioning, great bathroom, comfortable bed, etc. The owners are very nice and helpful and make you feel like family. They also go on trips with you. They have a restaurant where you get rice and curry and where they serve you a delicious breakfast. The fantastic Silent Beach is just a 5 minute walk away. Everything was perfect and I hope to be back soon. Thank you so much Kavidi and family.

We loved our stay at Kavidi villa. The room had everything we needed, even a kettle and green tea provided.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It was nice and quiet, right next to several restaurants and close to a beautiful beach. And our hosts were so friendly and helpful, we highly recommend a stay!

The family that runs the place are amazing, so very kind and helpful with everything. The location is great, right next to a lovely beach and only a quick tuk tuk ride into town. This was hands down the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka during our 10 day trip around the island. The most stunning location. Wonderful hosts, who have the perfect balance of friendly and attentive but leaving us space. We ate an evening meal cooked at the property and it really was beyond our expectations. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. I really wish we could've stayed for a few nights. Actually I really wish I could just live there forever! - paradise :)

Really nice place! Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Perfect location, calm area close to the beach. Restaurants and little stores are just a short walk away. Hosts are super welcoming and allways happy to help!

Kavidi and Shashika are very friendly and nice. We had really good time there, we also hanged out together during the day. Breakfast is delicious, we also ate fish dinner there that you really shouldn’t skip! Everything perfect. Fantastic beaches 4 minutes walk away. We felt like a part of the family and we really recommend this place.

The location is very close to the silent beach. The owners were very kind to us so and we had many nice conversations, so in total we felt very beloved. In addition the laundry service was very helpful. We can truly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely welcome. The couple that run it are so hospitable, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Food fresh and delicious. We really felt at home here! Delicious food clearly made with love. Accommodation is clean and comfortable - AC room with fan, mini fridge etc. However, the highlight of our stay was definitely the exceptional service and treatment from the host.

Wonderful place! Wonderful people. Very tasty and fresh products. Breakfast was delicious. Everyday dishes were different. Perfect location! The owners are really helpful and friendly. It was a real pleasure to spend time with them! We appreciate every moment in Kavidi. Bed is comfortable, room is clean. If you ask, Shashika can order a tuk tuk in good price too. He helped us with many things! We were really moved and definitely recommend this place.

After 6 weeks this was one of our more expensive homestays so very used to these properties all over Sri Lanka. With this one location good as only 10 minutes walk down track.to Secret beach. Rooms decent size and bed comfortable with mosquito nets and Aircon. Also had kettle for tea and coffee. Small seating area outside but no cushions so not too comfortable and very hot as property surrounded very closely by walls so no breeze.

Property enclosed by walls and gates right in front of you, rooms fairly dark. Bathroom painted black so again very dark. Not really a garden as we faced a gate when sitting outside room, ok but but not expected from description. Kavidi explained how important top reviews are on a few occasions. Being honest about reviews is so important to me and avoids people being disappointed on arrival. This homestay is ok but not really a 9 based on our other 10 stays in the last month It is very convenient for the beach and OK for a short visit. By the way our breakfast was fruit, Rotti and toast with jam picture attached, we did get eggs on the first day so probably ask as we didn't on the second day👍

Kavidi (host) received us just like we were in our home :) The room was very good and clean. We also had breakfast which was amazing! And if needed shashika can also give you rides in his tuk tuk. The location is good since it is very close to the beach. Thank you so much for the staying, was very nice!

We had an amazing stay at a wonderful room located in a beautiful garden. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and it's just a pleasure to be there. The breakfast was so good: sri lankan pancakes and lots of delicious fresh fruit! We would recommend it and come back.

Kavidi does a great job with this homestay. She is a very attentive and friendly host, who really made us feel at home. Her husband is a TukTuk driver which is quite convenient for trips to the city. Their sweet dog Lucky also adds to the charm of this homestay. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast, which we got to enjoy on the terrace in front of our room. For Lunch and Dinner we went to one of the many family owned restaurants nearby and enjoyed all of them. You can also choose to stay at the Homestay and eat or have a drink there. The location is amazing! It takes about 5 minutes by foot to get to Silent Beach, which is absolutely stunning and filled with little shops where you can get a coconut or cool drinks and stay on their sunbeds for the day. If you cross Silent beach to get to the next beach, you will find a bay straight out of a picture book where you can surf and if you´re lucky see some turtles. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dreamy beach getaway!

This was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. We stayed 2 night and if we could, we would stay much longer. It was such a lovely place. The room was clean and the bed was really cozy. Very good breakfast, good location close to silent beach. Host is amazing and taking care of everything. We are sure, that we will come back :) Great stay, Thank you very much!

Just wow. Kavidi made our stay in Tangalle so special. You get a taste of local life staying here, but with added luxury. Kavidi went out of her way to make our stay as special as possible. She left us tea facilities in the room, a book of Sri Lanka, a mosquito plug (as there are many of them in Sri Lanka) and a new bar of soap. There was hot water and brilliant air conditioning in our room. The bed was clean and comfortable. She also prepared us really good breakfast. We will always remember our stay here and we hope to return in the future! Thank you Kavidi for being such a beautiful kind soul ❤️

2 rooms in a family home stay close to a stunning beach. The family are very welcoming and do everything to help. They have their own tuktuk which we used often.

Very good location for the silent beach. The place is very nice for peace and relaxation. But not always it's about places... sometimes it's about people also. I met an amazing family that made me feel like a friend from the beginning. Thank you a lot for everything Kavidi!

Kavidi and her husband were super kind, gave us some tipps, and showed us around in Tangalle. The guesthouse is located only a couple of minutes walking distance away from the beautiful silent beach. There are also many restaurants around. The room had a fan, an aircon and a mosquito net. And it does have windows in spite of what some other comments said. The room was comfy and there is a nice terrace to sit outside.

The room is a little dark and the bathroom isn't the nicest but quite normal for guest house standards. A plus was the squeegee to remove the water from the floor.

We've had an amazing stay at Kavidi! She and her husband are very kind and do they best to make your stay unforgettable. The room was perfect: super clean, fridge, nice lights in the room (not just one big one), comfy bed, good aircon, hot water, towels for both the beach + shower. They also do your laundry and can arrange a tuktuk! Kavidi thank you so much - it was an honour to be your 50th guest :)

We liked the hotel so much that we booked to stay longer - highly recommend this place and it's been my favourite place in Sri Lanka. Really comfortable room and Kavidi is lovely and super friendly and helpful. Plus the hotel is just a short walk to the Silent Beach so an ideal location - and great for evening strolls along the beach to see fireflies. The air con and WiFi are both really good too. This place was a real highlight of our holiday

This place is the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality and friendliness. In all of our travels we haven't experienced the same level of genuine care, interest and helpfulness. The room is spacious and in its own building. Hot water, fan, aircon and tea and coffee facilities. Parking our tuktuk was easy. It's a few minutes walk to Silent beach which is easily the nicest beach in Sri Lanka. We extended our stay here because we loved it so much. Would not hesitate to come back.

The breakfast was delicious and varied, consisting of fresh fruit and tasty local dishes. Kavidi cooks very well. The dinner was definitely the best we had in Sri Lanka. You must try it!

On arrival I was very pleased to find a very well equipped and comfortable space close to the beach and an exceptionally delicious rice and curry for dinner, but as I stayed longer I came to realize that my hosts were the real gems. I was made to feel so welcome. Arrived as starangers, parted as friends.

Kavidi Villa was the best accommodation we found during our trip. Everything is very good. The place is about three minutes away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. (Silent Beach) Breakfast is amazing and delicious. The property also has a restaurant. Its food is delicious and superb. Only in some cases the water comes a little slowly. (The hosts said it doesn't happen all the time, and some days it's a problem with the National Water Supply Board's water distribution.)

A one night stay at this place is not enough but unfortunately due to a problem with our travel dates we stayed only one day. We highly recommend this place.

The guests are very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast and very near to silent beach. To go to Tangalle just take a Tuc Tuc or get a Scooter. For us it was a very nice spot to be.

This was one of favorite stays in Sri Lanka. The place is super nice and cozy. The homestay is run by a lovely young family who will go above and beyond to offer a relaxing stay close to the beach. It's located 5 minutes away from the silent beach in a quiet area away from the main road with few restaurants and other homestays around. Kavidi is a great cook and the dinner and breakfast served is outstanding. The rooms are clean and have a perfect size. AC and hot shower is also available. We can highly recommend staying at Kavidi Villa Home Stay and would love to come back!

We wanted to stay near the wonderful Silent Beach and so we chose Kavidis Homestay. Its realy just a 4 Minuted walk to the beach and you are also very near to Goyambokka beach. The room is very clean, has a comfy bed and a fridge/minibar. Kavidi and her family are really amazing hosts, if you need anything they will organize it. The breakfast was wonderful, best hoppers in whole sri lanka :).

We had a great time at Kavidi Home Stay! The Rooms are clean, there is warm water and an AC, the breakfast is self made and ver delicious, and the host took care of all our questions and needs. And the best thing is, that its only a few minute walk by foot to silent beach, which is absolutely breathtaking!

Kavidi Home Stay is a very comfortable place. Everything is neat and clean. The room has a new air conditioner and refrigerator that works very well. Breakfast is big and superb consisting of traditional and western food. Just four minutes to the beautiful Silent Beach. These hosts are excellent and friendly. Hosts are very kind. We will definitely come to Kavidi Home Stay when we come back to Sri Lanka. Highly recommend this accommodation to all travelers.

A wonderful home-stay experience in a new built home. Everything was clean and neat, hot shower is working well, mosquito-net, AC and fridge do their work and the bed is very comfy. Nothing to complain, yet keep in mind you choose a homestay and not a bling-bling luxury resort. There will always be things to improve but with this lovely family you'll find intersted hosts who like to hear what their guests think and are open-minded to change for better.
