Tout ! La maison est incroyable avec une vue magnifique et un intérieur parfaitement propre. La chambre est top aussi, confortable, spacieuse, accès direct sur la terrasse avec jacuzzi bien chaud. Marc est un super hôte. Il saura vous donner pleins d’informations sans être intrusif, un bon équilibre. Il est également très arrangeant. Bref séjour génial! On recommande complètement.

Unparalleled views and fantastic physical property: hot tub, comfortable bed, newly renovated master ensuite, lovely wood finished kitchen, pool table and parking.

Unfortunately our stay was significantly diminished by the owner’s superior and critical attitude. He had a pattern of impatience to the point of being rude and aggressive. I While writing this review (which somehow the owner could see as I am doing it?!) I received a phone call from him “correcting” my review and explaining to me why I am wrong and threatened to call Booking.com to set explain that I was the problem. I have never written a negative review about an owner before and have had more than 150 stays in New Zealand, Europe, and North America

The views from the property are incredible, as described in other reviews. Would just note that you are renting a room in Mark's house, not in a hotel or B&B. We were the only guests while there and Mark was also home.

A fabulous house that lets you blend into nature as one. Very relaxing, secluded & tranquil , amazing views, & chilled. Views are to die for. Mark host is there sometimes & not others but He is a great guy & was really nice to meet him & spend some time with him. He allows you your space but also there for a chat if works for both parties or needed. Fresh chook eggs and all! Would love to spend more time there one day!

The host and owner ( Mark) was brilliant, his home is simply stunning and in such a wonderful location- this property was the absolute accommodation highlight for our 3 week trip - words do not express how peaceful and unique this property is- Thankfully I booked 2 nights as one night is simply not enough- thank you very much for sharing your beautiful home Mark.

Vyerna är helt oslagbara. Att sitta i bubbelpoolen med en öl. Ett mysigt hus som ligger helt isolerat.

En branta grusvägen för att komma till fastigheten var lite trixig. Ta det lugnt, så går det bra.

Tolle Lage am Hang mitten im Wald. Der Gastgeber Mark ist meist vor Ort und kümmert sich um das Wohlergehen der Gäste (Tips, Kaffee, Frühstückseier, Holzfeuer im Ofen). Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es gibt private Bereiche und Gemeinschaftsräume (wie die Wohnküche)

La cuisine est immense avec tout le matériel nécessaire. la vue est incroyable depuis l'ensemble des pièces de la maison (chambre, jacuzzi extérieur, cuisine, salon). Mark est très sympathique et de bons conseils. Il est également prévenant.

you need to be an experienced driver to descend and climb narrow graved road. it is what it is, just be ready.

Really beautiful location with almost a 360 degree view from the living room. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Lovely owner. Jacuzzi with mountain and ocean view.

The place was tidy. Had most things you would expect. But had couple down falls. Spa was great. Bed Great. Bathroom tidy. The view good. Rest didnt like. Would have been better no owner around. BUT owner nice fella.

It was like being a border. no real privacy. Felt uncomfortable re owner around. Normally one would expect , tea / coffee / sugar / milk as part of the service being provided . Way better out there for price paid. No privacy in spa as owners bed room right in view. Just not my thing. Waste money.

Het uitzicht , echt niet te geloven Zie je jezelf al zitten in de jacuzzi met een uitzicht zover je je kunt bedenken… je kijkt over de zee met de Kia’s ( papegaaien) om je heen We werden warm ontvangen door gastheer Marc … De openhaard stond aan toen we aankwamen,we mochten alles gebruiken… Thanx Marc

The property is out of this world! The hot tub is phenomenal. The jacuzzi bath was also brilliant! The views are incredible, the amenities are superb. Genuinely every aspect of our stay here surpassed all expectations. If you’re staying and wanting to do a few day trips in Abel Tasman, this will make the experience unforgettable!

We were warned and it’s completely fine, but the driveway is steep for anyone not confident in driving. But this is a small price to pay for a 10/10 Accomodation!

The views at the Kea ridge lodge were absolutely stunning! Make sure you catch the sunset and sunrise when visiting, especially whilst lounging in the hot tub! Mark was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome and was great to chat with. His kitchen was clean and well stocked with more than enough space for guests to store their food.

The place was great! It’s a little hard to find as it’s hidden away so make sure to look out for his street number on the main road. It has a cute bird cut out above it.

Beautiful scenery and a very comfortable home. Loved the quiet and sense of being away from it all.

Perfect location. Amazing views, very peaceful. Amenities are spot on and a very knowledgeable host. An awesome base for exploring Golden Bay and the abel tasman.

Couldn't use ensuite spa bath couldn't get jets to work.

Welcoming host, wonderful views and feeling of remoteness while being only 20 minutes away from Motueka and Abel Tasman! Room and bathroom were clean. We liked the very good kitchen and spaciuos shared space. We had no problems driving to the house with Suzuki Swift during good weather, but keep in mind that the driveway is steep. The location itself is on top of the hill of a very cool mountain pass. For me it was a bonus.

This accommodation is stunning! With an amazing view and facilities. The host is lovely and made us feel very welcoming. This is an absolute must stay if you are in the area.

Driveway is very steep and a bit bumpy. Wasn’t much of a problem getting out though.

Beautiful setting in Takaka hill, close to all your adventuring needs. Lovely cosy room, with extra comfortable bed! Facilities were spot on and hosts very welcoming. Great place to stay and hope to be back again!

A lack of clarity as to whether the host was going to be in the house also (they weren't in the end) and an incorrect accusation from the cleaners that we had left the bathroom in a state...

Amazing view and setting. Friendly and environmentally conscious hosts. Spotless clean. We had the whole house to ourselves. Enjoyed the stars in the hottub.

Everything! The location is a little remote and the driveway is a steep gravelroad with some sheep waiting or you from time to time, but it's absolutely worth the climb! The views are breathtaking! The jaccuzi on the terrace with a view down to Able Tasman NP is the best way to close a day. The shared kitchen and living area is huuuuuge with even a pool table included. There are also a washing maschine and a dryer you could use. And last but not least, the hosts are really lovely people you'd like to meet! This was our best stay in 3 weeks on the South Island. We'd definitely book again!

Heating the whole house is a little challenging if you're not used to light up wood in an oven and don't want to burn down other peoples homes. ;-).

Everything from the views to the homely feel. And to Mark being such a legend of a host, he was so chill and welcoming when me and my partner arrived. Would definitely be back again 👌 p.s driveway is steep but definitely accessible in and out with your car just take it slow bro.

Location, views, comfort, facilities, style and personality. Very friendly host (thanks Mark!). As you approach the impression is wonderful, but when you walk in...WOW! We will recommend this property to all our friends and family.

The views surrounding the house are spectacular, and it is unique in its setting. It is furnished with creative flair in one open plan space. It was well equipped and comfortable for our short stay . Pool table good fun !

The access road is very steep .We were glad to have 4WD!

It was a superb location - so peaceful with wonderful views. Our host, Mark, was not there so we had the entire beautiful house to ourselves. We soaked in the jacuzzi, washed clothes, cooked dinner in the well equipped kitchen, and spread out everything we owned to get ready for a 3-day tramp in Abel Tasman. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The driveway was a bit hard to navigate but well worth it.

Incredible views. Wonderful room and super comfy bed. Kitchen was well stocked. Since the shower was a tub/ shower combo our host let my husband use the master walk in shower (Thank you, Mark). The hot tub outside was nice and warm and the view from it incredible. Great place for star gazing.

We wanted to be outside of town so the distance from town was not an issue. It was well worth the drive! The driveway was a bit of a challenge in that there were short portions that were steep. I wished I had 4 wheel drive but made it up and down both days. Listen to the host and “stay wide”.

Amazing accommodation with unbelievable views on the hills (pictures don't do it justice). Everything was well prepared for our stay with clear instructions from the host.

The peace and tranquility. The views. The AMAZING sunrise. The sky at night. The access to home comforts, especially the kitchen. The memories will stay with us forever. Thank you Mark and family

Amazing hosts that made their home open to us. Incredible to share such a gem of a place.

The most breathtaking location we’ve stayed at! The bedroom was excellent and the facilities were perfect. Mark was unfortunately not home so we could meet him, but that meant we had the whole amazing house to ourselves. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could wish for and was super spacious. The coffee was fantastic! Watching the stars outside jn the hot tub was an extra bonus. The gravel road leading down to the property was a bit nerve wracking, but was not really a problem.

That we couldn’t stay forever

Our stay was simply perfect! We had the entire place to ourselves, which was such a treat. The home itself is absolutely beautiful, and the views? Breathtaking! Mark, our host, was not only lovely but also incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Our only regret is that our road trip around New Zealand meant we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended!

These accomodation is amazing, very clean, spacious, warm and perfect every way! What a stunning view of the beautiful mountains! Made my Nelson trip memorable. So peaceful, that million dollar view was spectacular! Had a lovely time staying here, having a spa pool at night watching those stars in the sky was so cool. Absolutely beautiful place with a view to match. Mark was a great and accommodating host. We arrived to a roaring fire and steaming hottub which was a perfect end to a long day of adventures for us. Will definitely be back and I recommend you try it too!

We had a wonderfull stay in Kea Ridge Ensuite Marc was awsome House is amazing, bed is super confortable, jacuzzi at the end of the day was top, but the best thing was the view and sunset Totally reccomend!

Mark and his partner were so friendly. The house was beyond our expectations. Especially the view!! and the hottub under the stars!! The road toward the house was quite a climb but worthwhile. Possibilities to cook your own meal and breakfast. Do not hesitate to book!

The location is amazing. Waking up with this extremely impressive view is wonderfull. Really nice bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a sliding door to the terrace with the jacuzzi. This was the best accomodation during my trip in New Zealand!

Stunning location! Can I give it 50 stars? This is a beautiful place, the views are just hard to describe as they are fabulous from whichever direction you look. Inside, clean, comfortable and everything you need. The hot tub is fantastic. It is not far from Riwaka and Motueka, so close enough to grocery stores etc. Conveniently close to multiple Able Tasman area hikes as well. Very private and I would book again in a heartbeat when I'm in the area.
