My měli vlastní tuktuk, tak pro nás není vzdalenost problém, ale ostatnim majitel nabízí odvoz vlastním vozem, byl to již náš druhý pobyt na tomto místě a radi jsme se tam vrátili

Excellent clean and nice food

Probably the most wonderful garden in whole Sri Lanka that we have stayed at! Such a friendly host family. They kept their distance but made us feel at home right away and whatever we needed, they made sure we’d get it within a few minutes. Breakfast was different every morning and quite filling! We were also served dinner in their beautiful yard in some sort of tree house. The host himself even took us to all places. Stay there - you won’t regret it!

Hajit è il vero valore aggiunto della struttura, gentile, competente, ti organizza gli spostamenti a prezzi concorrenziali. La colazione preparata dalla moglie è una delle migliori avute in sri Lanka. La struttura è immersa nel verde e nel silenzio.

Tutto ok - il bagno però era spesso "condiviso" con rane (i muri del bagno non sono ben chiusi).

Superbe homestay au calme dans un beau jardin avec hamac. Hôtes très accueillants. Superbe petit déjeuner et dîner cuisiné par la maman. On s'est régalé. Très bon rapport qualite /prix. Le patron ancien chauffeur de tuk tuk a son propre tuk tuk et vous emmène où vous voulez. Trop sympa! Je recommande vivement. Vous passerez un inoubliable séjour !

Good communication with host. Clean good sized room with kettle, A/C works well. Two double beds with linen full bottom sheet and small throw on top. Good breakfast with an egg, toast, banana and local delights.

Our driver found it hard to find location in the dark (given our train was delayed) and the sign for the property seems to be inside the driveway. WiFi very hit and miss. Bathroom could do with some hooks to hang clothes and a mop or scraper to dry the floor (as water from shower doesn't drain properly).

Especially the host family made our stay very special! They were so nice and fulfilled all our special wishes like babyfood for dinner, breakfast for take away as we left at 6:30 for Pidurangala Rock (which is really nice!) etc. The food they cooked was really really good, one of the best we got during our 5 weeks trip. If you are looking for a stay with great local people that cook nice food and all for a really good price then go for it!

The room and especially the bathroom are a bit smelly which is normal in Sri Lanka for every house not brand new as far as we experienced (the humidity especially during the rainy season is incredible and we as Europeans couldn't imagine how humid it can be)

Very friendly host, helped me organize sightseeing during my stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is very big and delicious. I would definetly stay again.

There should be a mosquito net on a bathroom window, because there are lots of mosquitoes around a hotel.

Adit le gérant a été super, les petits déjeuners sont incroyables ! Je recommande l'endroit si vous voulez visiter dambulla, Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Polonnaruwa.

Beautiful place, friendly staff and very helpful.

Only downside was a huge storm that took out the power for a while but it was nighttime so they gave us some candles and we could watch the lightning.

El desayuno está incluido y es muy variado y copioso. Además puedes pedir que te den de cenar. La cena está exquisita. Tomamos Rice and curry el primer día y repetimos dos veces más. Te pueden llevar en su tuk tuk grande a los distintos sitios a visitar por un módico precio. La familia es encantadora. Hay un gran jardín con flores y árboles.

Sehr schöne, einfache Unterkunft in phantastischer, ruhiger Lage. Es gibt eine überdachte Terrasse und im großen Garten noch viele andere Möglichkeiten zum Sitzen. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Auch köstliches Reis und Curry haben wir genießen dürfen. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat ein eigenes Tuk Tuk und unterstützt bei der Planung der Ausflüge. Wir haben tolle Tipps bekommen. Danke für die großartige Zeit!

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was peaceful and perfect for relaxing.

Ajith et sa famille sont adorables, serviables et arrangeants. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et copieux. Nous avons eu des tonnes de bons conseils et de petites attentions. L'endroit est magnifique. Bref on a adoré.

Bardzo miły i uprzejmy gospodarz oraz jego rodzina. Pokój skromny, ale czysty — niczego nam nie brakowało. Zadbany i czysty ogród wokół domu. Gospodarz poświęcił nam czas i obwiózł nas po okolicy. Dobre miejsce po przylocie, przed kolejnymi podróżami. Cena adekwatna do jakości.

Łazienka i zapach w niej. Poza tym nic.

We stayed at Niduwari Home Stay for three days and had a wonderful experience. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The owner Mr.Ajith takes great care of both the room and the surroundings, creating a peaceful atmosphere where we could also spend time relaxing in the garden. The location is a little interior, but that wasn’t a problem since the owner has his own tuk-tuk, making it very easy to reach the property and move around. Breakfast was excellent—so generous and filling that we hardly needed lunch afterward! Overall, it was a very nice stay, and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, good food, and a welcoming host.

La localización, el sitio es ideal y está super bien cuidado . La familia que lo regenta es encantadora y súper atenta. Nada más llegar nos fueron a recoger a la estación y nos preparó un té de bienvenida. Nos llevo a varios sitios con su vehículo por un muy buen precio y también nos prepararon una cena deliciosa a un precio genial también.

La location, in prossimità di un bel lago da cui osservare molti tramonti. La gentilezza dell’host, che ci ha portate a Dambulla e Sigiriya con il suo tuktuk e preparato ottime colazioni. Ottima qualità/prezzo.

Nonostante abbiamo apprezzato molto la disponibilità e gentilezza del nostro host, non è stato chiaro fin da subito che gli spostamenti in tuktuk sarebbero stati a pagamento (comunque contenuto).

We stayed at Nidwary Homestay in Dambulla and loved the experience. The house is set near a peaceful lake in the jungle, offering a truly unique and authentic atmosphere. Its location is excellent: very close to the Golden Temple and just a short drive from Sigiriya, making it a great base for exploring the area. We are a family of four and were welcomed with warmth and genuine kindness by the hosts, who made us feel at home right away. Breakfast was generous, varied, and always delicious — the perfect start to our days. The place is a little secluded and not the easiest to find, but once there it feels absolutely worth it. A lovely and authentic stay we would happily recommend.

We had a very positive and lovely time at Niduwari homestay. The host and the family were incredibly helpful and went beyond their way. For instance, our coach to Dambulla arrived at 3am due to delays and the host picked us readily. The host was so kind and warm, and it was clear he made a lot of effort to ensure his guests had a comfortable stay. The beds had a mosquito net attached which was helpful whilst sleeping during the night. The area around the surrounding the homestay is vibrant and lush, with plenty of foliage and plants. It was very relaxing to sit, read and take in all of the ambience.

There is not much to say that I didn’t like. Perhaps offering a dinner option maybe great? But there are plenty of good restaurants in Dambulla town offering fantastic food.

No real issues, but to help others with their decision: Simple standard (not a problem for us) and remote location (no problem, if you have a driver). The lake is a non-event, but no big deal.

A beautiful, lovingly made area. A very pleasant surprise was the badminton court (and a set for playing it), romantic gazebos, where we were served a delicious and plentiful dinner and breakfast. The extremely friendly hosts helped to see the surroundings and solved the pressing laundry issue. We wish you prosperity and health!

Very good value for money stay in Dambulla. The property is near to a small lake and the property is inside a very nature friendly place. The breakfast was also wide spread and good quantity The owner also has a package trip in his tuktuk at very cheap price which covers most of the sight seeing in Dambulla and Sigiraya

Everything about the stay was great! The room was clean and comfy, with a peaceful ambience near the lake. The owner was super helpful and friendly—he picked us up from the bus station and even took us on a tuk-tuk ride to nearby attractions at a very affordable rate. I had a wonderful time at this lovely homestay. I was picked up from the bus station and the rest of the days also taken everywhere for a small price with the owner's tuktuk. A very nice man who helps you with everything. He thinks along with you and goes out with you or waits for you. His wife and daughters are also very nice and the food is delicious and can be adjusted to your dietary requirements. I highly recommend this place, especially for women traveling alone!

The owners are very nice and friendly people. Food was excellent, everything from local production. The room was very clean and the garden was spectacular.

I stayed for two days (23rd & 24th April) on this property and I really wish I had stayed longer. The host was very polite, kind, so very pleasant to be around and extremely insightful. He was like our tour guide as well and told us the best spots to visit and exactly where to take the best pictures! Staying at this property has been the highlight of our trip and we instantly felt at home. We were given delicious breakfast during our stay which will make you fall in love with the local food. It is situated next to a beautiful lake and the views are simply breathtaking especially during the sunrise and sunset; and for my next trip to Srilanka this is definitely where I'm going to be staying! I would a 100% recommend staying at this property friends, family and to everyone.

Really enjoyed my stay here, the room was comfortable and clean and when I arrived I was given a cup of tea. There's a lovely garden to look out on and the lake is close by so you can take a nice swim. Definitely recommend a stay if you are in the area.

The owner is such a sweet man and helps you as much as he can. We had trouble finding a driver and the owner helped us to find a right person. It’s like a stay at your grandparents and a real home stay.

The homestay is out of town in lush green area by a lake so for me that was a great location. The owner is a really lovely guy, super attentive and helpful. Their home made food was just amazing! The owner can also take you to Sigriya or the Dambulla caves at a very reasonable rate.

The host were amazing, couldn’t do enough for us. They were also very good with the kids. The food was delicious and there was heaps of it. Highly recommend.

The owner was mabye the friendlest guy I have ever met. He gave us good recommedations where to eat, tips how to get to Sigyria by bus and drove us around in his little cool car. The accomodation was ok, the dinner and breakfast we had there was so good and tasty. His wife is a great cook.

This is a special place. The location is beautiful with plants and quirky artifacts surrounding you. The owners are so helpful and can drive you around in the TukTuk, provide evening meals and search out wild elephants (yes, we found some by the roadside). Recommend if you want something off the beaten track with a personal touch.

The place where it is located next to the lake surrounded by trees and plants was very calm. Everything war very clean, the room and the place. And had hot shower. In the evening I was not very hungry and they made me a deliciós soup and breakfast too. He recommended me to go to a temple on the lake to see the sunset with views of the lake and surroundings. The man with his little car always takes care of all the details until the last moment he dropped me off at the bus in Kandy. Highly recommended

The location is very calm and soothing. The rooms are very well equipped. Ample parking space. The host and his family will cater to all your needs. The food was tasty and homemade. Ample parking space. WiFi was functional.

It’s a super nice place with amazing hosts! If you’re looking for a place to stay around Dambulla look no further. This homestay is all you need. Good location, helpful hosts that picked us up from the bus, organized best safari and shared a lot of information. Also food is great. Make sure that you have dinner at least once. We ended up eating here every night of our stay, was that good.

Friendly host willing to help, big garden, good breakfast!

I’d gone for cricket and the accommodation is ideally situated . Lakeside setting and well kept gardens are beautiful. There’s a pleasant walk from the accommodation to the temple along the lake dam. Room was great value for money..with hot water..clean comfortable bed with mosquito net. Home cooked Sri Lankan food was delicious.. I had breakfast and dinner for the 3 nights of my stay….I only wish I could have ate more. The family are lovely and made me very welcome . I was met from the bus on my arrival which was great and helped with my onward journey. Any tours etc can be arranged if wished.
