Would’ve stayed here a lot longer if I had the time! 2 minute walk from the beach and just a few minutes in the opposite direction to get in to town. Comfortable beds, very spacious room. Kingsley was a great host and made a beautiful breakfast.

Wir haben vier Nächte bei Kingsley und seiner Familie verbracht und es war rundum eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herzliche Gastfamilie, die uns vom ersten Moment an das Gefühl gegeben hat, willkommen zu sein. Bei jeder Frage oder jedem Anliegen – ob es um die Organisation des Weitertransfers oder um eine Begleitung zum lokalen Obstladen ging – waren sie sofort zur Stelle und haben sich mit großer Freundlichkeit gekümmert. Auch kulinarisch wurden wir verwöhnt: Das Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant war wirklich ausgezeichnet und ein echtes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts.

Pas de clim dans le logement ce qui peut être assez compliqué si le séjour s'étend sur plusieurs nuits.

Sehr sauber, großes Zimmer und perfekte Lage! Das beste Essen in ganz Hiriketiya !!! 😍 Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit 😊

Leider keine AC aber dafür zwei Ventilatoren, hat für trotzdem ausgereicht :)

The coziness, the simplicity, the little private garden and the quiet caring and loving ( and talented) family.

Nothing - for me it was a simple, bit of paradise …. The breakfasts were also the best, as was curry and rice from the family restaurant and from their extended family’s restaurant next door.

Nous avons adoré ce logement, idéalement situé à moins de 5 min du spot de surf avec un extérieur très agréable. La nourriture du restaurant est délicieuse. Et surtout Kingsley et sa famille sont des gens d'une extrême gentillesse, nous ne pourrons jamais assez les remercier pour tout ce qu'ils ont fait pour nous suite à des blessures. Ils ont pris soin de nous comme l'aurait fait notre propre famille et ont fait tout leur possible pour nous faciliter le séjour et la convalescence. Une belle rencontre qui restera dans nos cœurs, merci infiniment ❤️

Beautiful clean sheets, towels, hot water, little fridge, access to kettle. Food was very delicious. We stayed 3 nights & every breakfast was a little different, all delicious. I especially loved the hot ginger teas to help our colds.

Stanza semplice in stile locale e accogliente,divisa in due stanzette matrimoniali con giardinetto e doccia esterna. Colazione abbondante e gustosa,il proprietario davvero disponibile. Ci saremmo volute fermare più giorni per godere della tranquillità della baia. Molto vicino alla spiaggia e ai ristorantino che costellano le viette. Consigliato

Best breakfast we have had so far in Sri Lanka. No AC, but most nights the fan was enough. The restaurant of the owner is very good and popular as well. Would recommend this stay to everyone!

I stayed at Kingsley only for one night, but honestly, it was such a great experience ! The cleanest guesthouse I stayed at so far! Plus very comfortable bed, clean towels (like clean for real!), spacious room and hot shower! Very yummy breakfast and super kind staff. Also at their restaurant next door everyone is adorable and their food is to die for! I recommend 10/10! Thank you so much. See you next week(yes, I booked again at Kingsley cause I'm currently in Mirissa but don't like it)

What a lovely place to stay very close to Hiriketiya Beach. A very friendly family that goes the extra mile to ensure that your stay is perfect (especially food-wise). The room is spacious for two. Perfect size bathroom with warm water. When arriving, you are welcomed with a free lunch, and also the included breakfast is more than enough. People were even queuing for the restaurant.

Sharing the room with four people might be a bit tight. There was no AC but two fans do the trick.

Absolutley the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. 2 min walk from the beach, in the quiet of the jungle, amazing food, eccellent breakfast, great value for the money

Fantastic service, delocious breakfast, very clean, 3 min to the beach, all what you need in the room. Nice area outside the apartment.

The only improvement could be the area outside the apartment, it could be decorated a bit nicer. A hammock or some nice Colours would make this place 10/10. But its a minor issue, rather recommendation.

Basic, but clean room with a nice garden. Two minutes away from the beach. Kingsley and his family are super friendly. They also have a small restaurant with delicious food. Had a great stay!

We have been travelling for a year now and Kingsleys Place was truly one of our very favourites. The whole family was so kind and welcoming. The breakfast included was INCREDIBLE and truly an experience in itself, we began to wake up each morning giddy for what the breakfast would bring. The room was large with two separate large bed spaces which was great lounging and creating space for our luggage. Even though there was no AC the fans did the trick and never got too hot in the evenings to notice. The accommodation is also perfectly located just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Kingsleys place is truly a gem and we wish more stays around the world could be like his.

Staying at Kingsley Place was the best choice we could have made, we have been welcomed and cared for just as family. We genuinely feel like we have a new family here in Sri Lanka even just after such a short period of time, and we will come back again and again, no doubts. Kingsley and his family are so kind, caring and genuinely want the best for you, accomodating any request even if they have to go out of their own way for it, always with a smile on their face… The breakfast is just amazing, and all the food from their restaurant as well, cooked with love! Also the location is ideal, can walk everywhere in Hiriketiya no need bike if you don’t feel like renting one. So cose to the beach where all the shops to rent surf boards are, great variety a few nice shortboards, amazing! So do not hesitate to book Kingsley Place, you won’t regret it. 🙏 Thank you again for receiving us so well and making us feel like a part of your beautiful family, such a precious feeling when travelling and living far from home. Kindness, made our time in hiriketiya great, we were hosted but also had dinner and breakfast there and it is also a 10/10 in food. About the bed, was very confortable, ventilator worked ok, hot water also ok, a little garden for us, one room that is like two different rooms with a bathroom, a fridge, Summing up, perfect stay and really nice family and staff. Avoid the place if you look for a luxurious place.

Nothing, it was exactly as described. Just keep in mind that there is no AC (you can’t expect that for the price) so it is hot in the room.

Wow - what an amazing place to stay. The family were lovely, thank you to the 3 boys who cooked us breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent, make sure you eat there! The accommodation is spacious and lovely. We got a welcome drink on arrival too. The accom is perfectly located for Hiriketiya beach, a 2 minute walk away

If you want to feel like home, this is your place. The food is amazing, the famous of Kingsley is amazing and the place is amazing too, you have hot water, a really clean space and super comfy bed. I will for sure be back!

Really friendly family, lovely bright bedroom, really tasty and big breakfast. 5 minutes to the beach. Your own private garden where you can have breakfast and watch the monkeys coming by. Little things like washing lines to hang wet stuff and an additional mosquito net on the bedroom window for ventilation were much appreciated.

Very good value for money, 2 separate bedrooms of good size and very clean... The beds are comfortable A fridge and a kettle are available! The hosts are very welcoming and friendly They have a very small restaurant right next door where the food is delicious at a very affordable price. You can go there with your eyes closed 😉

We really loved staying here. The whole family is so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, Kingsley changed the breakfast everyday, so we could try nearly everything they have on the menu in their restaurant next door. One of the nicest spots in hiriketiya, thanks a lot! We can definitely recommend this home stay!🙏

because the owner also runs a restaurant, and the sound insulation is not good, it will be very noisy.

This has been my favourite place to stay at so far during my travels in Sri Lanka! Perfect location just a short walk away from surf! Rooms and clean tidy and stay cool during the day! Cute little garden to relax and read a book in during the day! The family are so lovely and helpful!! Breakfast is amazing as well as dinner and lunch! Such a cute place wish I could have booked more nights! Will definitely come back thank you so much!

Kingsley is a lovely host, makes you feel at home. He will surprise you at breakfast with something delicious and if you want to chill on sunbeds at the beach you won't pay as Kingsley is friends with the workers. Really nice and comfortable room and the location is perfect for surfing at Hiriketya

We had such a wonderful time at Kingsleys place so we extended our stay twice. Kingsley and his family's are such lovely and heartwarming people and we felt welcome and at home from the first moment we arrived. We got the most delicious breakfast every morning and we ate the best curry and coconut pancakes we had in Sri Lanka at Kingsleys place. Thank you family Kingsley for making our stay so wonderful.

Great room, good shower and amazing food

It was such a warm welcoming place. Such a kind & friendly family. The appartment was very clean & comfortable with a very nice garden & outdoor shower that we loved, especially after the beach which is very close by. Kingsleys kitchen is special & deliscious. We spent till now 5 weeks at Kingleys place. COming and going, on and off. It is always our first choice. Kingleys family made us feel like home. We were never hungry. Kingsley and his family, they are all good cooks. The breakfasts exceed any expectation and are fabulous. A real Sri Lanka experience. The space has everything you need and it is one of the cheapest places around here. Kingsley also has famous rice and curry you can preorder for the evenings and during season people have to reserve 2 days before. The best experience we had in Sri Lanka and we will definitely be back again.

There is nothing we did not like. People here live simple, happy and so should we as tourists too. The place has everything you need, and the breakfast is exceptional. You are surrounded by nature and jungle. The only thing we can improve is to smile as much as they do.

The accommodation is basic, but we felt immediately at home Kingsley and his family are the most amazing hosts you can get Breakfast is served in the little restaurant next door and is incredibly fresh and tasty. The breakfast and the food of his restaurant was amazing. I highly recommend booking this place, one of our best memories in Sri Lanka thanks to this lovely family !

Kingsley’s place is in a perfect location, 2 minutes walk from the beach but still surrounded by beautiful jungle. Shops are near by also although no need to go anywhere else for food as Kingsley and his wife are the most AMAZING cooks. I ate here every night and I always left so happy. They are an incredible family, always happy to help with transport arrangements and local knowledge. Some of the kindest people I have met in Sri Lanka.

i loved staying with kingsley & his beautiful kind family! the room is amazing; its actually more like an appartement with two rooms, a private chill garden (with outdoor shower), kitchen facilities and a nice bathroom with hot shower. kingsley has a cute little restaurant right next to it and serves incredibly good food (breakfast is included - he served a suprise every morning and it was always super yummi - he does vegan/vegetarian on request too!) and its just a 3 minutes walk from the beach :) in 6 weeks sri lanka this was my most favorite place to stay and i would come back any time!!!

We extended our stay three times and loved every minute of it. Kingsley really made us feel like home with his kind ways. After a busy trip through the country we found our moments of peace at his place. It's so close to the beach and the room is wonderful. Definitely stay here.

Amazing room with a clean and big bathroom. Hot water and mosquito nets make it even more comfortable. Nice outdoor seating area for pirvate use. The host himself is the best we could get. The food is insanely good and breakfast is included. Great value and nothing is missing. Definitely stay here and enjoy yourself. 10/10
