Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and as described. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it because of the way I was treated by the owner. My arrival was met with an extremely rude, abrupt and disrespectful attitude. I have rarely experienced such poor hospitality, and I was made to feel genuinely unwelcome from the very beginning. Basic courtesy and respect towards a guest should be a minimum, regardless of any circumstances. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that it was completely contrary to everything I had experienced in New Zealand before this stay. Throughout my trip, I have encountered exceptionally friendly, kind and welcoming people — in other accommodations, restaurants, cafés and simply in everyday interactions. This was genuinely the first time I experienced such an unpleasant attitude in this country. It is a real shame, because the accommodation itself is perfectly fine. However, a B&B is not only about providing a clean and comfortable room; hospitality and the way guests are treated are equally important. Unfortunately, the owner’s behaviour completely overshadowed the positive aspects of the property. For this reason, despite the accommodation being clean and well maintained, I would not choose to stay here again.

Allie was very accommodating and we were able to bring our dog and settle him into his crate for a couple of hours while at our function. The room was lovely , the bed very comfy and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Allie for a lovely stay. You were a lovely host and we enjoyed our time with you.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026We were in the upstairs part of the B&B and had the floor to ourselves. The rooms are styled beautifully and you have your own private bathroom. The rooms were very clean with a comfy bed. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood. Staying at Allie’s was a relaxing experience and Allie is a very friendly host who serves up a lovely continental breakfast. It was perfect for our needs.

Es war ausreichend Platz vorhanden und wir haben eine erholsame Nacht verbracht. Allie war zudem eine sehr unterhaltsame, ordentliche und aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die uns ein leckeres Frühstück zubereitet und gute Tipps für den Besuch der lokalen Bäckerei gegeben hat. Die Gespräche mit ihr waren wunderbar kurzweilig. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.
Es gab überhaupt keine Beanstandungen.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2026Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu u Allie. Zatrzymaliśmy u niej całą rodziną. Allie to bardzo ciepła i komunikatywna osoba. Sam obiekt jest super przytulny, ma wszystko co potrzeba do komfortowego wypoczynku oraz BARDZO czysty - mieliśmy wrażenie jakby nasz pokój był świeżo po remoncie :) Śniadania są pyszne - nasza córka była bardzo zadowolona :)

Informative Tipps von der Gastgeberin zur Weiterreise. Wir sind durch das Tal des Whanganui Rivers nach Pipiriki gefahren, traumhafte Szenerie mit einigen Aussichtspunkten.

Alles war sehr sauber und außergewöhnlich hübsch eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Am Morgen gab es ein leckeres Frühstück frisch von der sehr lieben Gastgeberin Allie bereitet. Sie gab auch tolle Tipps zum Erkunden der Gegend.
Alles war mehr als perfekt!!!

La colazione in cucina con la proprietaria che ci ha servito del pane spledido fatto in casa. La proprotaria gentile cordiale e paziente con il mio inglese traballante. Consiglio vivamente!
