Reviewed Jan 20, 2025A warm welcome by the super friendly owners. Breakfast alone is well worth the stay, delicious home-made marmalades and fresh scrambled eggs every morning. The owners have a laundry business, perfect after a five-day hike in the muddy wild. Fifty metres from a bakery with delicious empanadas, within walking distance of supermarket, city centre 10 minutes by taxi or 20 by bus.
Shower not working when laundry machines are running.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2024We loved our stay at Demaris and Francisco’s home in Punta Arenas! It was like staying with a family. They were SO SWEET! We booked our stay last-minute after returning our camper van, and when we got to their house, they welcomed us like family. They were very sweet, and prepared everything for us. The guest room was super clean and cozy, and the bathroom was really clean with hot shower. There was a little common area upstairs complete with a TV, microwave, etc. The house is about 10-15 minute drive from the city center, but it costs us $2 USD TO Uber to the city center. They also offered to take us to the airport the next morning, so it was very convenient. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEMARIS’ PLACE IF YOU WANT AN AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE! I’M SO GLAD WE BOOKED THIS! We will definitely stay with them again when we come back! ❤️ MUCHOS GRACIAS, DEMARIS AND FRANCISCO!

We didn’t really feel good about living the car on the street as it is quite narrow and we didn’t know the area, but everything was good at the end.

A little noisy as guests checked in at 2am and there is not really any sound insulation between the rooms. This seems to be the case in all the guesthouses in this area though.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2024Hosts were very kind and helpful. They responded to any and all queries and the husband came to pick us up from the Airport for 9000CLP, cheaper than buses or taxis. It's located in their house on the upper part of the city, and guests live upstairs: they have 3 guest rooms, all well furnished with very comfortable beds. Multiple outlets in the common area (which has coffee, tea, a tv with Netflix/YouTube, and a cozy sofa) and the rooms. The bathroom and shower are very comfortable, and are shared between guests (no problem in having to wait though). The breakfast includes toast, orange juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, jam, cheese... very complete. They let us leave our bags the next day even after checkout for free as we went to roam the town before heading for Puerto Natales. Amazing, would recommend and come back anytime.
The location isn't great but if one understands the bus taxi system, you can get anywhere pretty fast for cheap.

Reviewed Jan 12, 2024A very comfortable homestay in a local chilean home, with comfortable beds and a good breakfast. There is a little mezzanine with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave and a sofa which is very useful and nice. The family is very helpful and nice and discreet.
It is a bit far from the centre of town (one needs a car) and the neighbourhood is quiet but bland and unattractive.

Breakfast was delicious and was even asked when we would like it, endless coffee and tea available. Definitely recommended, the most amazing hospitality we’ve experienced ❤️ thanks so much for having us!

Reviewed Dec 17, 2023Demaris and Francisco were extremely helpful and kind. The beds were very comfortable and the shower and amenities are great. Francisco picked us up from the airport and offered to drive us wherever we needed to go at a very reasonable price. The location is not in the heart of the city but it gives you a chance to experience an authentic part of Punta Arenas. I would highly recommend staying here.

From the friendly smile at the airport pick up (complimentary singing in the car too) to the care and compassion that transcended language barriers. This home stay is as warm and humble as it’s owners. We came for the accommodation but would stay for the company.

-The place is far from the center and any comercial area (stores and restaurants) so you need to take bus or taxi to go to anywhere. -The bathroom was nice but the shower doesn’t have a good pressure and the hot water never came up. -The walls of the bedrooms were very thin that was possible to hear all the noise from the others rooms.

We (a group of 5) only stayed one night, arrived on Sunday evening and one of our group members - my husband - had terrible toothache. Francisco drove the two of us looking for an emergency clinics.

Reviewed Nov 26, 2022A stay at a real Chilean home - private room for the two of us and a general area to be shared with two other rooms. No other guests were there though. We've spend a cosy night in the sofa - possibility to cook your own food. Very accommodating to provide airport pickup and transport (at a fair cost).
Far from Punta Arenas centre, so perfect for a cosy night in, but not ideal if you want to visit the city.
