The fact that mosquitoes interrupted our sleep. Not ideal. Citronella lamps/candle would have done the job. The plug-in repellent was empty.

Reviewed Mar 9, 2026Friendly welcome, immaculately clean, swimming pool, lovely grounds with fruit trees. The bed was huge, crisp linen and super comfortable. The owners gave us a voucher for their restuarant 4 Sheep which was were we enjoyed dinner & breakfast. The lamb shank was delicious falling off the bone. Breakfast we opted for the Karoo breakfast & lamb benedict authentic for the area.
Everything was great highly recommend a stop here.

A suggestion is to warn the guests about the danger of walking outside to a restaurant because when we asked one of your ladies if it was dangerous and she replied it was not. On our way back, we were mugged by 2 guys. The security and police told us it was very unsafe to walk at night.

We did not have water the next morning, not even the option of a little stockpiled water the flush the toilet at least. We travelled from Johannesburg, so would really have enjoyed a shower.

There is a nice swimming pool, which we couldn't use due to our late arrival. The apartment was basically a large, spacious flat with a dining room downstairs and a large bedroom with several spacious beds and a large bathroom upstairs. All complemented by vintage furniture!

Tiny thing. I needed a 2 point plug adaptor. Staff provided one but would have been more convenient if standard with the room, given that we all have cellphones to charge.
