Upali was fantastic. He was friendly and looked after us very well. The room was spacious, and had 3 comfortable beds.We needed only two. The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants etc.

There was nothing we didn't like in this place.

Great location just minutes away from the town centre. Lots of restaurants nearby, along with a supermarket for anything that’s needed. The host is super warm, welcoming and willing to help out with arranging trips and whatnot. There’s a water filter outside the room to fill your cups with purified water. If you opt for breakfast you’ll be full for a long time, I appreciated the variety and the additional spice from day 2 onwards - delish!

The location on google maps is slightly off, so keep that in mind.

Una delle migliori guesthouse in cui abbiamo alloggiato durante il nostro tour in Sri Lanka. La camera ed il bagno sono spaziosi e puliti, dotati di ogni necessità, doccia con acqua calda. La posizione è ottima, a pochi passi dal centro città. Colazione abbondante e buona. Consigliato.

Everything! This facilities were specious, clean, quiet, and air conditioned. The water pressure was strong and the WiFi worked great. The host was amazing and helped us plan each day while we were there and provided transportation for a very reasonable price. We also had a lovely private patio to hang out on.

La struttura è davvero molto curata e pulita. È presente un dispenser di acqua purificata assolutamente sicura per riempirsi le bottiglie (cosa che noi abbiamo apprezzato molto). È offerta una colazione con cibo locale davvero squisita con proposte dolci, salate e frutta fresca. Fonseka e sua moglie sono due persone meravigliose: disponibili, accoglienti e gentili. Abbiamo passato in questa GuestHouse le nostre prime 4 notti in Sri Lanka e grazie a Fonseka ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Ci ha dato moltissimi consigli su cosa fare e vedere in zona, anche rispetto ad attività che ci permettessero di conoscere al meglio le tradizioni e la cultura locale. Inoltre Fonseka non si è mai tirato indietro nell'accompagnarci alle diverse attrazioni. Siamo molto grati a lui e alla sua famiglia per la cura e l'accoglienza.

La familia que lo lleva no permanece en el establecimiento durante todo el día, lo que significa que si tienes alguna necesidad, puede que no siempre estén disponibles en ese momento. Es cierto que hacen por estar en pocos minutos, pero no siempre les es posible.

Good location - away from Main Street with breakfast and spacious rooms. Owner did suggest traditional dance show that was really good and good value (we saw another one after in Kandy and it was NOT good).

Needed your help after dark to get to main street as no lights. Power and water cuts (not always able to flush toilet!) No towels provided. Owner very keen to offer driving or recommendations even when we explained daily we had a driver.

Dulwan Guesthouse is well located in Habarana, a 5mn walk from the junction where all buses stop. Upali was nice and helpful, and he arranged for me from one day to the other a jeep safari in Kaudulla national park that was absolutely amazing !

Nothing. If you want to eat out walk along the street beyond the roundabout. Great restaurants down that way.

The host (and the whole family) was friendly, welcoming, and also understanding. He came to pick us up from the train stop, brought us straight to a joint to have dinner, and took our luggage to our room. He also organized a wonderful safari for us which was at a better price than the ones we had looked into before.

Can't really say much... In the morning we asked for butter, which wasn't there, but otherwise breakfast was yummy.

It was great value for money and Upali (the host) went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. Even organized our own drivers throughout Sri Lanka. A+++

The room was very comfortable! My friend and I really appreciated the size of it and the hospitality of the owner/ staff there. Very convenient walk out and there was already some food options to eat!

L’emplacement est au calme et la literie est bonne. Les petits déjeuners sont biens et copieux. L’accueil est bon mais orienté vente. On avait une très mauvaise odeur d’égoût dans le logement et il a fait très vite le nécessaire pour régler le problème

On a acheté une prestation taxi visite de pollonawara pour la journée à 50 dollars mais la visite s’est limitée au transport et à l’arrêt sur 3 ou 4 sites mais un peu pressé de rentrer. La journée s’est terminée en 4heures en l’attendant suite à un problème sur sa voiture. On a demandé un cours de cuisine mais malgré une réponse positive nous n’avons pas reçu de propositions Pas d’info particulière en dehors d’une proposition pour un spectacle de danse folklorique Par contre bonne expérience pour le transport au rocher du lion

Good room, nice owner who helps if you want to do any excursions in the area and is willing to bring you with his tuc tuc for a good price. Location of the room is also good.

I would say that by far the best thing at this property is the owner Upali and his wife. Price range in habarana is enormous and we had very reasonable prices due to Upali. We changed euros at hotel with good rate, we visited an upmarket Ayurvedic spa with 6500lkr for 1 hour full body instead of at least 8000. Best of all was huluru jeep safari with 5000pp, we were 5, after safari we checked a price from a street agent and it was 3 times more, We did a village tour too it was short but interesting. Upali has also a tuk tuk and transferred us a lot of times free of charge. His wife prepared every day a tasty local breakfast and she did la big laundry for us free of charge. Upali found a van for our next destination too. I have to say that all family are so friendly and helpful and welcoming and we were lucky to have been there. Regarding rooms I have to say that they have basic facilities and need improvement. But it's value for money and location is very good, in 5 minutes you can go on foot to central road with restaurants, super market etc.

Simple things like shelves in bathroom, soap, bin in bathroom, chairs in room are missing. Bathroom has also a bad smell and sometimes water comes out. There are everywhere millions of mosquitoes especially in veranda. Be careful and keep room doors always closed. You must always keep curtains for room closed because I front of room it's a common veranda so there is o view from interior of room.

I recommend to stay in this guesthouse if you visit Habarana. The host Upali and his family were very helpful and nice. I took 2-day tours and visited Sigiriya, Dambulla and Polonnaruva with a tuk tuk driver Gamini that Upali organized. The location is central and breakfast was good, a bus station is very close if you need it, I also went to Habarana cultural center for the national dance show 😊 you can do a safari tour as well, there are national parks there too

L'extrême gentillesse du propriétaire. Upali, son sens du service. Il nous a conseillé, guidé, conduit vers les plus beaux endroits à visiter. La propreté. La décoration simple et authentique. Le petit déjeuner maison et très copieux !

Klimatyczny nocleg z ładnym tarasem, na którym serwowane są śniadania. Pokój przestronny, czysto. Duża łazienka. Pomocny właściciel, reagował na każdą prośbę. Położony na bocznej drodze, bardzo niedaleko od przystanku autobusowego.

Owner is very friendly and available. He arranged us a full day of excursions even waking up at 4 am to bring us with his tuktuk to see an amazing sunrise at Pidurangola.

La habitación era muy espaciosa con camas muy cómodas, teníamos A/C y ventilador que para la zona que es lo vemos muy necesario. Tienen una estación de agua potable mineral con lo que podíamos rellenar nuestras botellas perfectamente. Cerca de la main road de Habarana. Finalmente hicimos todas las excursiones qué teníamos en la cabeza con el dueño, algo que nos fue muy cómodo que tuviera esa disponibilidad. Desayuno correcto. Relación calidad/precio volvería a repetir el alojamiento.

En algún momento pudimos notar que si no cogíamos algún actividad que él nos ofrecía, se podía molestar.

Hôtes très accueillants avec un petit café offert et de grands sourires. Très serviables. Une première impression de lodge avec un mobilier extérieur très joli et accueillant. Tout proche de la grand route même si on a l'impression d'être dans les bois ou plutôt la jungle, mais c'est une fausse impression. . C'est un endroit très nature, le soir des petits bruits d'animaux (grenouille, geko, et sûrement d'autres) et curieusement pas de moustique. Pas de bruit de la route. Petit déj tout à fait correct. Dans l'ensemble un très bon rapport qualité prix. Possibilité facile d'organiser les excursions. Je n'hésiterai pas à revenir ou à conseiller l'endroit à des proches qui aime la simplicité et la nature. Climatiseur et ventilo au plafond.

L'host è stato super disponibile e non ci ha fatto mancare nulla di quanto richiesto. Abbiamo dovuto accorciare il nostro stay per un cambio di piano e ci è venuto incontro sul pagamento della penale. La colazione era molto buona e abbondante. I letti comodi.

Una delle due camere aveva un buco nel soffitto comunicante con l'esterno, le lenzuola sporche e non c'era acqua in bagno. Nonostante ciò, non abbiamo avuto problemi e la notte è passata serena. L'altra era abitata da decine di zanzare e il bagno era un po' paludoso. Temperatura molto fredda e tanto autan hanno aiutato a passare la notte. Francamente non una soluzione da 9+

Petit déjeuner peu intéressant Le village d'Habanera est loin de tous les autres sites, elle est une étape utile uniquement pour les safaris . Par exemple, à plus de 42 km de Polonnaruwa.

Il proprietario ci ha dato degli ottimi consigli e si è reso disponibile ad accompagnarci a vedere uno spettacolo di danza; abbiamo molo apprezzato. La camera va bene, colazione ok.

Una habitación con todo lo necesario. Una familia que te ayuda en todo lo que necesites, solo pregúntales y siempre saben de algo o alguien que puede ayudarte. Recomiendo coger todas las actividades con ellos. Tienen una máquina de potabilizar agua que es una bendición. Tienen el contacto de un masajista que ha sido de las mejores experiencias del viaje. Espectacular. Recomiendo usar esta ciudad como base para visitar todos los lugares culturales de la región, está muy bien conectada.

We had an absolute amazing stay at Dulwan Guesthouse. The owners are a wonderful and service minded couple. They made us great breakfast and helped us with booking and driving to all the main attractions in the area. Always with a big smile on their faces. The service is 10/10! The room is good for a family of four and everything is clean. We can really recommend this guesthouse for your stay in Habarana!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen. Das Zimmer ist groß und das Frühstück landestypisch. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Wir hatten leider von abends bis zum Vormittag Stromausfall. Dafür kann der Gastgeber nichts, wir mussten dennoch nur den halben Preis bezahlen.

Leider waren einige Ameisen und andere Insekten im Bad.

If you are looking for 5 star choose 5 star. However, if you are looking for a family run guest house with good, clean, safe, private room and bathroom with basic facilities, this is a great place to stay and unbelievable value for money.

Small and simple room, but sufficient for our stay. The owners were very nice and helpful, giving us ride with tuk tuk to different sights and ensured trips like village tour and safari, and their price was fair.

The place was in a really great location, off the main road so you dont here the noise. The host was lovely and the breakfast was delicious!

Семейный отель, ремонт свежий, в номере довольно чисто (в целом не типично для региона), постель не синтетика. В целом дружелюбный персонал, помогали в целом, однако в посоедний день, не организовали трансфер, как договорились. Отличное соотношение цена качество.

Завтраки, на второй день стали просто покупать яйца, чтобы нам их жарили. Много насекомых (просто имейте ввиду). Внимательно следите за деньгами, ничего не оставляйте в номере (не конкретно про этот отель, но этот один из трех после которого пропали деньги из сумки).

Usually I stay in cheap hotels so I used to get a little comfort and care, but not in this case. Host are very caring, he guided me through the activities, always wanted to help. He suggested to go on safary for cheaper prices and to the cultural centre of Habarana (both were amazinfg). Room was clean and good (look like like a room for $40 but costs only $12), there was good breakfast and clean drinking water. Wifi also was good.

Very good, clean and comfortable stay in family guesthouse with nice people always ready to help. 3 minutes from Hurulu park safari starting point. 4beds a/c room for my family and additional room for our driver. As well we asked by WhatsApp for a dinner that wanted for ur to our arrival - very delicious and good!

Breakfast was a little bit "bread with bread" - no eggs, no sausage, no cheese. But tasty and ok.

La struttura si trova nel mezzo della foresta ed è molto ombreggiata e fresca, cosa rara in Sri Lanka. Anche senza l'aria condizionata la stanza aveva una temperatura vivibile. Il proprietario ci ha organizzato un giro sul lago e la visita a un villaggio vicino dove abbiamo mangiato e imparato la cucina locale.

La camera era molto spartana, senza zanzariere nonostante la numerosa presenza di zanzare, il bagno avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione. Il problema peggiore è stata la presenza di cani (compreso quello della struttura) che abbaiavano durante la notte rendendo il riposo piuttosto difficile.

The host was kind. He provided transportation to and from Sigiriya and Dambulla for a fee.

The room and bathroom were quite dirty, I didn’t feel comfortable and ended up leaving a day early. The room was cheap though, so always remember you get what you pay for.

Rooms and staff is excellent... Service all so superb. Breakfast is okay.

Fijne ligging. In de volledige rust, maar toch op maar 5 minuten lopen van het centrum. Hele grote kamer met een nog grotere badkamer. Heerlijk bed. Heerlijk lokaal ontbijt. Eigen tuk tuk en taxi, goede prijs.

Lugar sencillo, instalaciones correctas aunque un poco cansadas, la familia es encantadora y atenta, y te ofrecen opciones para hacer tu viaje más cómodo. El desayuno copioso y adaptan el horario a tus necesidades.

Fonseka was fantastic. He went above and beyond to give us the best experience when we wanted to go to Pidurgala for sunrise, Sigiriya and more! Another plus was being able to do laundry for free. Could not recommend enough
