Very helpful host who came to pick me up at the bus station. He also dropped me off after check out for no extra fee. The rooms are large and there are no mosquitoes inside. No air conditioning but the fans are efficient enough. The hotel is located uphill so there is a great view from the coffee shop's rooftop opposite. You can arrange a trek in the jungle with the host himself and i think it's cheaper than with travel agencies. No restaurant in the low season but 2 USD breakfast was great. The green carrot restaurant is available with grab delivery and everything i ordered there for 5 days was excellent!

Excellent, chaleureux accueil de la part de Pu Thea et sa famille (adorable femme et leur fils). On ressent l’esprit familial. L’emplacement de l’hébergement est situé tout proche du centre-ville notamment du Marché « Psar Banlung », également près de la colline de Phnom Svay (prononcer « Phnom Svaille » qui permet une vue panoramique magnifique sur Banlung et en dehors, dans les environs, les paysages lointains (forêts et autres)… Sur le sommet de cette colline se dresse une très grande statue de Bouddha. Pu Thea a participé à la construction de l’hébergement, constitué de chambres, bungalows ainsi individuels « en bois » dans un cadre verdoyant, naturel, charmant. Cela donne l’impression d’être dans la forêt, la jungle par son atmosphère. Pu Thea est vraiment attentionné, attentif et disponible. Dans le bungalow n*8 où j’ai séjourné 4 nuitées, lors du deuxième jour, l’ampoule ne fonctionnait plus. Après en avoir informé à Phu Thea, il se proposa de régler le problème. Cependant, cela nécessitait un peu plus de temps que de changer une simple ampoule car le problème technique était lié au système électrique.

Bella zona, molto naturalistica e grande disponibilità da parte dell’host. Il prezzo è veramente conveniente e senza sovrapprezzo mi è stato il bungalow al posto del letto in dormitorio.

Sapevo che nella struttura si aveva la possibilità di avere colazione e anche pranzo e cena. Purtroppo mi è stato detto che in bassa stagione la cucina era chiusa. Capisco pienamente, ma credo sarebbe opportuno comunicarlo prima che qualcuno arrivi.

Amazing family feeling! Great trekking organization, amazing family style dinner, simple but nice rooms/bungalows. And whatever you need they‘ll help you with it! Definitely book here especially if you want to do jungle trekking as well!

Behind the bungalo, at the back, there are fires burning, sometimes garbage, plastic, sometimes leaves. When they burn the leaves, all the smoke comes inside through the gaps. So you feel like you're in a smoker. If they burn plastic, you feel like you're in a crematorium. So I don't recommend this place. Y

Amazing value for money. The owner was great and very helpful- he organised a trek for us and was able to take us and pick us up from places in town. The breakfast and dinner they serve was also very good.

Le logement est top et vraiment pas cher. Le gérant propose des petits déjeuners et repas cuisinés par sa femme pour de bons prix et peut organiser facilement des treks et transferts. C'était tellement bien qu'on a prolongé.

L'hôte et sa famille sont vraiment au top (super serviables, toujours là pour aider et trouver des solutions si besoin) !!! Possibilités d'organiser des randonnées directement sur place (et moins cher) !!! Nourriture délicieuse et gros plus pour les petits déjeuners !!!!! Logement confortable et espace commun très agréable !!!

Nous pensons que le business plan est sur les treks, c'est pour cela que le logement en soit n'est pas chère. Le prix du trek est exorbitant, je pense qu'ils le savent mais ils s'alignent sur la concurrence. C'est pour cela qu'il va vous prêter un scooter pour aller dans le centre ville gratuitement, venir vous chercher et vous déposer au arrêt de bus, être très proche et aidant pour les clients. Il faut juste être conscient de cela. En plus, le guide est gentil, mais il ne donne aucune informatoin sur la nature environnante. Nous avons vécu l'excursion plus comme une experience de la nuit dans un hamac dans la jungle avec le repas, que le treks en lui même qui n'est pas incontournable. Côté logement il y a plein de moustiques mais il y a des moustiquaires pour la nuit.

La disponibilité du gérant à organiser le séjour : visites, Tuk-tuk, bus... La cuisine 👍

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cet homestay. Le propriétaire était adorable et au petit soin, il nous a aidé à réserver notre bus pour revenir sur Phnom Penh malgré pleins de complications. La pièce de vie commune est très agréable avec une très jolie vue sur la nature, les repas (petits déjeuners et dîners) sont variés, toujours très bons et copieux. Le logement était très confortable et à un prix vraiment très abordable.

I had an exceptional stay at this homestay in Banlung. I was travelling alone, but the family is incredibly warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at home from the moment I arrived. They are always happy to help with any requests or questions. Breakfast is very nice (bread, eggs, fresh fruit), and there is also the option to have dinner every evening at 7, freshly cooked by the wife. The meals were delicious and a great way to experience local food. One of the highlights of my stay was the two day, one night jungle trek I booked through them. Everything was perfectly organised and the guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and passionate. It was truly a great experience, and if you are considering trekking, I would definitely recommend arranging it through them. The overall vibe of the homestay is relaxed and social. It is easy to meet other travellers, and the location just outside the centre of Banlung is peaceful while still being convenient.

Honestly, there is very little to complain about. The only downside was the heat, but that is just Cambodia in April.

Everything, speechless, they provide you everything that u need for a good staying and enjoy the village. They offer all kind of tours, rent bike or bicycle, in front you have a cozy coffee shop to enjoy the sunset and if u prefer you can have breakfast/ lunch or dinnee in the hostel, as a vegetarian i really love all the veg. dishes. I hardly recommend this acomodation, they let us to dropp of pur laggage during our 3 days jungle tour and after that, they keep a towel to be able to take a shower after tour. They are so helpfull in everything. Thank you so much

Tout. L’accueil est excellent, la gentillesse du propriétaire, le prix de la chambre… cet établissement est vraiment particulier, nous étions de passage avec mon père et nous avons beaucoup aimé.

La família es muy acogedora y agradable. Te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas, te dan consejos y te responden a todas tus dudas. Además, por gentileza de ellos, te recogen y te llevan a la estación de bus. El desayuno y la cena es muy económico y relación calidad precio está muy bien. En estos momentos te puedes unir a los otros huéspedes y socializar con ellos. La habitación compartida es amplia y el baño está dentro de la habitación.

Tout. Comment mettre moins de 10 en note à ce prix là et au vue des prestations proposées. En plus on s'y ait senti bien, la famille est tout aussi discrète que disponible, et adorable. Bungalow grand et propre, avec un balcon pour profiter de l'extérieur. Nous n'avons pas fais le trek mais avons profité de la location de scooter sur place ce qui est très pratique, horaires et prix des bus affichés, etc... Juste petit conseil qui n'a rien à voir avec la guesthouse, échangez vos euros avant de venir sur Banlung. Un endroit existe peut être mais on a eu un refus à 3 reprises... on a abandonné. Les meilleurs taux qu'on ait trouvé dans le pays était de toute manière à Phnom Penh, puis Siem Reap.

We had a really nice stay here, we were picked up at the bus station and our host even took us to a restaurant because we arrived late. We were able to leave our stuff in the room when we went trekking. The dinner served there is delicious. They also organise the travel to Laos, everything went smoothly. Thank you for everything!

Staying here was the highlight of my time in Cambodia! We stayed here 1 night before doing the 3-day trek and then 2 nights afterwards. The trek was amazing with the 2 guides being from the local tribe of the area and they really knew the forest like the back of the their hand. It was a really authentic and memorable experience. The facilities of the homestay itself are very clean and they provide towels and free water refill. You can also lock your valuables in a safe for the duration of the trek. They also cook breakfast and family dinners which is a great way to meet other people you'll be going on the trek with! The host is amazing making sure the guests are well taken care of and goes out of his way to help with anything! He picks you up from the bus stop when you arrive and he drove us with the motorcycle to the bicycle rental shop in town when we wanted to rent bicycles during our last day!

L’hôte était au petit soin avec nous trois, il est venu nous chercher en ville à l’arrivée et nous y a déposer au retour, il nous a organisé nos deux jours de trekking (très bien aussi on recommande), nous a permis de faire une lessive express avant de partir. J’ai eu l’occasion de manger avec lui au soir et au matin, un anglais très maîtrisé, des échanges très intéressants ! Nous recommandons complètement !

Pu Thea is a really kind and helpful person. He can organise a jungle trek, provide food and drinks, pick you up and drop you off at the bus station, ... In short, you can be sure everything can be provided.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and I have been recommended of the place by another traveler. I loved my little hut, spacious and comfortable (with a double bed) and shared bathroom with shower (never too busy, it was like using my private one). The accomodation offer the possibility to rent a scooter, to get all meals (the food is local but very tasty, big portions). Through them, I took part to one day in the jungle, that is an experience I really recommend! The host and owner is a great person, happy to help and to share his knowledge.

Phutea and his family are lovely. Treks, buses can be organised from here. The dinner for 2.5 USD is worth it. It is homemade food, and portions are big. The rooms and bathrooms are clean.

The family is super kind and respectful, helping in absolutely everything in your experience without being intense. The bungalow was perfect, shared bathroom with hot shower as well and the place it’s really beautiful. I l oved my time here. Puthea is an amazing host - smiling, chatting and getting everyone involved. He helped me (a shy solo traveller) join a group to go trekking with, which we booked through the homestay, and it was one of my best experiences in Cambodia hands down. I managed to leave behind a bag of my clothes when I left for Kratié and Puthea went the extra mile to help reunite me with them too😂. Couldn't recommend the stay here more!

Pu Thea was a wonderful host. We had a room with two large beds and a terrace - the room was nice, clean and with a bathroom. The place is very nice, in a quiet part of town where the locals live, but at the same time you are on a motorbike in 2 minutes to the center. We rented 2 motorbikes here with our family and Pu Thea was very helpful with everything. The breakfasts are very nice and right across the street is a very good cafe with good coffee and a nice view. Pu Thea gave us very good tips for excursions, left us in the room until the bus left (because the room was free) and even drove us to the bus. The communication with Pu Thea was very good and we felt very comfortable with the kids. We highly recommend this accommodation. The price is great and Pu Thea is really very friendly.

This place is so magical. Completely immersed in nature, it’s perfect for those who want to connect with nature without giving up comfort. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom is super convenient with hot water (after 10 days, I must say, I really missed it). The staff is extremely kind and willing to help based on your needs. The location is perfect for all the activities organized with the family or for exploring on your own by renting a vehicle. They are also well-equipped for transportation. The price is very affordable and honest considering the quality and all the advantages it offers. Highly, highly recommended. I loved my stay here!!!!! The owner is SO accommodating, allowed me to move around the dates I’d booked so I could do the Virachey NP 2 day hike. The food is lovely and a good price. The beds were super comfy! I really cannot express how welcoming and lovely the host, Mr Pu Thea is. When we got back from the tour he even got us all some more smoked buffalo at no extra charge.

Shower pressure could have been better, but it was hot! And so can’t complain really

The overall vibe is great and the service provided was just excellent. The owner seems like the nicest and most capable person in Cambodias hospitality so far - everything worked as agreed. He got us a better price than we found online for the transfer from Siem Reap, let us use his motorbike for free (after we came back from the tour booked through him) and gave us a free lift to the bus station. His wife is also very kind and their son impressed us with his English - overall this is one of the places where tourism can make a positive impact.

The bathroom could be modernised, but for the price you pay, you shouldn’t expect anything more imho.

This was the best place I stayed in Cambodia, and also the cheapest. Pu Thea is the perfect host. He will help you to do everything you want to do, for the best price. The breakfasts are cheap and excellent. My room was simple, of course, but very clean and the fans were excellent. The one day trek and tuktuk tour I did were great and very good value. Highly recommended.

Great, basic accommodation. The owners are very friendly and can provide all you need. They organised for me a 5-day trek (with guides Smey and Mr Neng) in the park which was wonderful! A unique experience.

If you want to explore the nature in ratanakiri, you can just come and the owner will help you build the perfect trip! We went to a day in the waterfalls and a lake, and 2 days trekking in the jungle. He will help you with everything, and his wife cooks excellent breakfasts. We had a great time.

The owner is very helpful, he let me use the scooter to go to the city center and did everything possible so I could get the cap I forgot back. Very good stay at the guesthouse !
