Un immense merci à nos hôtes, une famille formidable et très attentionnée. L’accueil a été parfait. Le petit déjeuner Sri Lankais était plus que copieux et délicieux Un conseil, restez manger le soir c’est super. Ils étaient à nos petits soins et nous ont conseillés pour nos activités, pidurangala Rock au coucher du soleil, Lion’s Rock au lever et nous ont organisé le safari dans le parc de Miniriya. Une étape de 2 jours exceptionnelle que l’on vous conseil si vous souhaitez profiter de superbes moments dans un endroit calme situé entre les 2 rocks et au milieu du parc. Un lieu à choisir sans hésitation si vous venez à Sigiriya

Sehr nettes Ehepaar. Sind ganz früh abgereist und haben dennoch ein Lunchpaket bekommen. Zimmer war ausreichend groß und sauber. Pidurangala fußläufig erreichbar

Está a solo un par de minutos andando del acceso a Pidurangala Rock, ubicación perfecta si quieres subir a ver el amanecer. La familia que lleva el alojamiento es encantadora, muy cercana y atenta en todo momento. Incluso el chico nos acompañó hasta la entrada de la roca de madrugada. El desayuno después de bajar de Pidurangala fue increíble y muy muy completo. Había tanta comida que ni siquiera pudimos terminarla toda. Sin duda, uno de los alojamientos donde mejor nos han tratado durante el viaje. Muy recomendable si buscas un sitio tranquilo, auténtico y con una familia que realmente se preocupa por sus huéspedes. Stuti!

Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb von Sigiriya und nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Pidurangala entfernt. Man wird morgens vom Gastgeber dorthin gebracht, da es wegen der Elefanten alleine zu riskant wäre. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war hervorragend! In der Gegend gab es nicht so viele Restaurants, aber nebenan gibt es ein kleines Restaurant, das von der gleichen Familie betrieben wird und sehr lecker schmeckt. Die Besitzer halfen uns bei der Weiterreise und organisierten uns eine gute und preislich faire Safari. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

A 300m de Pidurangala, nos acompañó de madrugada con una linterna para ver bien el camino de acceso. Las instalaciones muy limpias. La atención es increíble, nos trataron como a su familia, con mucho cariño.❤️

Kind hosts and a lovely home, with delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and a comfortable bed. The garden is so peaceful and the homestay is nestled in the jungle, a short walk away from Pidurangula. Thank you for making me feel very welcomed!

The owner was very kind and gentle, we really feel home! The position is perfect, literally few meters away from Lion Rock and Pidurangala.

The owners are so lovely, they make delicious food and cannot do enough to help and make you feel welcome. The perfect place to stay as is walkable to both Pidurangala and Sigiriya. Clean, comfortable and amazing value for money.

Pidurangala View Homestay is a wonderful place to stay. I spent two nights here and the hosts were an incredibly kind couple, always ready to help with anything. The room had everything I needed for a 2-night stay, and the bathroom was spacious. I also had dinner with them for a very reasonable price. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! They were incredibly accommodating and adapted it completely to my vegan diet. It is the ideal location if you are planning to trek Pidurangala. The host was so helpful that he even offered to take me to the entrance of the trek on his motorbike early in the morning! As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend! :)

Nice host and great food

Majitelé jsou super. Přijeli jsme ve večerních hodinách - žádný problém. Odjížděli jsme později než je check-out - žádný problém. Zajistili nám u sousedů večeři. Dotazovali jsme se na safari a sehnali své známé, za velmi dobrou cenu - safari mimo hlavní turistické atrakce (Eco Park) a potkali jsme do 10 minut několik rodin slonů a jiných zvířat. Prostě super servis, který by jinde stál hromadu peněz. Jo a snídaně výborná, dostačující 🙂

- Zimmer war extrem hellhörig - Man sollte es eigentlich nur buchen, wenn man zum Sonnenaufgang auf den Felsen will...sonst wird man von den Hikern bei der Anreise geweckt. - Bett ist relativ hart - Feuchte Wände im Zimmer

Neskutečně milí domácí. Pán nám ochotně pomohl se vším, s čím jsme potřebovali. Dokonce s námi vstal brzy ráno a doprovodil nás na Pidurangalu. Velmi chutné jídlo.

Do pokoje pronikla zvířata, jako žáby a ještěrky. Pochopitelné vzhledem k poloze ubytování. Povlečení nebylo dokonale čisté.

Unter 10min Gehweite vom Pidurangala Rock entfernt und Unterkunftsgeber waren überaus freundlich und haben sehr leckeres Essen gemacht.

Klimaanlage war nicht sehr stark. PickMe und Uber haben nicht gut funktioniert, aber die Host Family hat angeboten, uns für denselben Preis zu fahren.

It’s a beautiful place. Lovely rooms. Clean and nicely furnitured. The owners are such lovely, helpful and good hearted people. We felt taken very good care of and were given good advice about nice place to go for walks and also what to be cautious, careful and alert about concerning animals and safety. Delicious home made food breakfeast and dinner. A place well bear in our hearts forever. We’ll be sure to revisit if we come back to Sri Lanka in the future.🙏

The family is warm and welcoming. The location is perfect. They can cook food for you or alternatively there is a restaurant near by.

Don’t book their Tuk-Tuk just get one with pick-me. They charged me 1000 rupees more and when I asked him why the difference he has been very dismissive!

Great hosts and so much value for money. Complementary breakfast is good. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Great location to walk to both Pidurangala and Sigiriya lion rock.

The family were absolutely lovely – they even dropped me at Pidurangala Rock at 5 AM and arranged a tuk-tuk for me. The homestay is just a 5-minute walk from the rock and is perfectly located between Pidurangala and Sigiriya (Lion Rock).

Proximidad a Lion Rock y Pidurangala Rock. Familia muy amable y cercana. El dueño del alojamiento nos acompañó hasta el inicio de Pidurangala rock a las 5:00am, un gesto muy bonito por su parte, aunque creemos que innecesario ya que la ruta es clara y estaba llena de tuktuks que se dirigían hacia allí.

Está lejos de la zona de restaurantes e implica volver en tuktuk por distancia y por presunto riesgo de elefantes salvajes. Instalaciones muy limpias pero por su ubicación era inevitable encontrar algún animal en la habitación (caracol, rana y lagartija).

La disponibilidad para ayudarte en todo lo que necesites. La situación de cercanía con Pindugarala Rock, el dueño se levanto a las 5 de la mañana para acompañarnos y guiarnos por el camino. El desayuno muy bueno. Son muy majos.

A solo 5 minutos andando del Pidurangala y a 15-20 del Lion Rock! La pareja de propietarios están pendientes de todo lo que necesitas! Hicimos las cenas con ellos y riquísimas y el desayuno también era super completo!

Emplacement au top Chambre simple mais suffisante, confortable et spacieuse avec un lit King size Les propriétaires vivent sur place et sont très accueillant, charmant, attentionné et font tout pour aider à passer un agréable séjour Ils nous ont organisé un safari au parc de Minneriya pour voir les éléphants, un massage au top et prix très correct dans un centre de spa massage avec des professionnels . L’hôte nous a accompagné le matin de très bonne heure pour visiter le Lion Rock. Madame nous a préparé des jus frais à notre arrivées et aux retours des excursions. Elles préparent de délicieux repas et variés chaque soir et petit déjeuner

Proprietari di casa gentilissimi! Davvero delle persone dolcissime. Struttura a soli 5 minuti a piedi da Pidurangala Rock Grazie a un loro amico con il tuc tuc siamo arrivati anche subito a Lion’s Rock. Altamente consigliato!

Extrem freundliche Gastgeber, sehr hilfsbereit. Lage ist super, 5 min. zum Pidurangala Rock zu Fuss. Gastgeber hat uns um 5am mit der Taschenlampe zum Startpunkt des Weges begleitet! Leckeres Frühstück, sehr abwechslungsreich mit lokalen Spezialitäten. Gastgeberin hat uns angeboten Abendessen zu kochen, war hervorragend und günstig! Einrichtung des Zimmers ist einfach, hat aber alles was man braucht und ist sauber. Würden sofort wieder kommen!

Bardzo ładna okolica, mili gospodarze i przepyszne śniadania Bardzo blisko do pidurangala

Ciężko w nocy dostać się do sigirya lub do hotelu z miasta a w okolicy jest tylko jedna lokalna restauracja i brak sklepów więc trzeba to brać pod uwagę z planowaniem pożywienia. Natomiast w razie braku wody można kupić ją u gospodarza po dobrej cenie :)

Friendly family and amazing food! Just 5 minutes to Pidueangala rock and 15 min walk to Lion’s rock. Best thing of our stay is the family, they arranged us everything and made a special dinner and breakfast. Quiet position. Highly recommended!

Very close to the Pidurangala Rock, so amazing location if you want to climb it especially during sunrise or sunset. Without asking, the owner accompanied our walk to the starting point in the morning since it is a known elephant road. The host and his family are super kind, make delicious and extensive breakfast and we ate dinner here as well (the curry was good!!). The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. And there was a big terrace and enough parking space for our tuktuk. In the area there is a lot to do, and takes most of the time only 5 minutes by tuktuk (Lion Rock, swimming pool, wood carving workshop, shops etc).

Nice place to stay. Nice people.

Skvělé rodinné bydlení s opravdu příjemnými lidmi, kteří rádi pomohou s čímkoliv potřebujete (zařídí taxi, tuk tuk), na přání uvaří výbornou večeři za super cenu! Opravdu kousek pěšky na horu Pidurangala nebo 20minut pěšky na Lions rock, památka UNESCO. Určitě doporučujeme!

La familia es encantadora, servicial y nos ayudaron en todo lo que pudieron. La ubicación es fantástica: en medio de la selva y cercana a las zonas turísticas a pie. Nos gustó tanto que nos quedamos más días.

Por poner alguna cosa mejorable, el aire acondicionado que hace ruido. Pero le sigo poniendo un 10!

You have to stay here. It’s really peaceful and just 5 min from pidurangala rock. The owners are so kind, it’s like staying with your parents. They helped us a lot and arranged a taxi and tuktuk. The man even walked us safely to the starting point of the hike early in the morning. The lady is a great chef and makes sure you have more than enough to eat. You can enjoy her tasty breakfast with a peaceful view of the rock. They are both super lovely and nice to have a chat with. Rooms are really clean and the bed is comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again!

Located far from main restaurants but we knew that when booking. Just worth noting. Couldn’t get a pick me tuktuk to pick us up but a car did

Neat and clean space very close to the Pidurangala Rock. Only 3 mins walk to the start point of the rock. Its in the heart of the jungle so need to be careful at night if you are traveling alone, because of movements of elephants. The hosts were great and also provided us with good breakfast. Do explore the nearby restaurant, they serve tasty food.

This family is amazing. They take care of you like their child. In the morning we went to Pidurangala for sunrise and Host was walking behind us(stay is located in the jungle) with the light to make sure we arrive safe to the rock.

The stuff were super friendly, they helps us organise a Safari trip to see elephants, location perfect for hiking to Pidurangala. Breakfast was tasty!

host was surprised to see us as we had booked only an hr beforehand but all was well and had a cup of coffee made for us in no time . Unfortunately the option for dinner was not offered but she walked us only 50m down the road to a family run restaurant which was good enough for our needs. Room was fine, clean with AC . struggled with the mosquito net due to bad positioning (needs to be sited centrally over bed ) and AC blows directly onto the bed so took a while to figure out how to not have the net blowing directly onto the body …. this was the only issue we had . Everything else was great , the hubby was a diamond and a true gentleman who walked us to the start of the mini hike up the rock at 5.15am to ensure we were safe ( elephants ) please remember to give a tip for this kind service …. Apparently we were the first in years to do so which we think is bad form ! breakfast was delicious and filling and set us up for our cycle onwards . Our host even drove his bike a few km down the road to catch us up to give us a plug adapter we had left in the room ! what a star . the location is fantastic if intending to climb the pidurangala rock for sunrise and unmatched vista of the more well known Lion rock . everyone else was having to catch a taxi or tuk tuk from town to the starting point and for us it was literally a 5 min stroll ! town is obviously a few km away so if wanting the nightlife then factor in a tuk tuk ride there and back .

Idealna lokalizacja na wejście na wschód/zachód na Pidurangala.

Sehr einfache, saubere Übernachtung. Guter Ausgangspunkt, wenn man wie wir nur den Pidurangala Rock und den Sigiriya Felsen besteigen möchte. Ansonsten schon eher einsam gelegen. Wenn man woanders essen möchte, werden TukTuks notwendig.

피두랑갈라 일출과 일몰을 위한 최고의 선택입니다. 조식도 잘 챙겨주셔서 다 못먹었네요. 일출도 이른 새벽에 피두랑갈라템플 입구까지 태워다주셔서 정말 감사했어요. 와이파이도 빠릅니다. 시기리아락도 입구까지 가까운 곳이예요.

다운타운이 걸어서 가기엔 조금 멀긴해요.

Our first home stay and value for money was amazing. The couple were lovely and kind and helpful. They put themselves out for us to the extent of getting up at 5 to show us the way by torch light to the mountain. They provided a lovely breakfast and dinner was really fantastic. Lovely home cooked SriLanksn food.

In all honesty it was just such amazing value for money and location that we cannot complain about anything

Apparently the landlord is not good at photography, I chose this homestay simply because it is close to the lion rock. But when I got to the place, it is a very beautiful and clean yard, much more beautiful than the photo uploaded by the landlord. (Please look at photo I uploaded) Although the landlord was not so good at English, but both of them were patient and communicated with us very well. The landlord accompanied us to the foot of the Pindurangala view point since there are wild elephant during dawn, every time we returned to the homestay, landlady was waiting, smiling happily, treating us with three cups of cold green orange juice. My wife said during the whole Sri Lanka trip, this is the only place that she felt like wanting to go back to. The landlord helped arrange the safari to Eco park, the taxi to Polonaruwa, all the driver they introduced to us are so nice and worth trusting.

I'm not going to say everything was perfect in this place, the only thing inconvenient is that there is wild elephant near the neighborhood, so it is not recommended to walk around after dark

Clean comfortable homestay in a fantastic peaceful location a few minutes walk from Pidurangala rock which makes a climb for sunset or sunrise very easy. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast tasty & plentiful

By far the friendliest people! The couple that runs the place are so welcoming, always willing to help and provide you with anything that can make your stay more comfortable. The best kottu we had in Sri Lanka! The green orange juice is a must! And all made with love and served with a huge smile! It really felt like home! Another big asset is the location: just 5 minutes walking distance from Piduringala rock, 20 minutes away from the entrance of Sigiriya site. Super quite, definitely NOT TOURISTY (far from the busy area). We can't thank you enough for this unforgettable stay! Take care and see you next time!

Vše bylo super ,hostitel i s manželkou velmi milí,paní nám uvařila moc dobrou večeři i snídani,pán nás doprovodil a posvítil nám k výstupu ,na východ slunce na Pidurangala rock . Lokalita přímo mezi Pidurangala rock a Sigirya lion rock .dokonce i wi-fí fungovala dost dobře

Главное это расположение к скале, 3 минуты и ты у входа . А так очень милые хозяева, накормили ужином и завтраком, не сказать что обалденно, но вполне хорошо. Как мы добирались, приехали в Дамбула уже стемнело, на остановке нашли тукера и он нас за 2700 довёз, ехать далеко 16 км. Обратно тоже на тукере за 700 он до автобусной остановки в Сигирии. Там сели на автобус и за 200 с человека доехали до Дамбула. Вот здесь кондуктор наглый пытался взять ещё столько же за багаж, не дали. Дальше мы ехали ещё на 3 автобусах и не где такого не было, наоборот везде покажут, в Канди нас даже довезли одних до автобуса на на Гамполу.

Very nice and quiet place, attractively situated between Sigiriya and Pidurangala. The owner was super nice and we had a delicious breakfast. We arrived with the bikes and there was also space to store them safely. Highly recommended!

Die Unterkunft ist fußläufig (ca. 30min) von der Spitze des Pidurangala entfernt. Sie eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für Tagestouren. Es wird sich herzlich um das leibliche Wohl gekümmert. Auch die Lage im Dschungel bringt Urlaubsstimmung auf.

Het was thuiskomen bij Pidurangala homestay. Zulke lieve mensen die altijd voor je klaarstonden. D'r gastvrouw heeft heerlijk voor ons gekookt en de ontbijtjes (zeg maar ontbijten) waren ook verrukkelijk. Verder ligt de homestay op een prachtige plek in de jungle op 5 minuten van de Pidurangala Rock vanwaar je een adembenemend uitzicht hebt op de Lion Rock. Kortom, een aanrader.

Einwandfrei für dieses Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, wir haben hier auch zu Abend gegessen. Das war sehr lecker. Der Weg zum Pidurangala Rock ist ein Katzensprung. Wir waren für eine Nacht hier. Die Gastgeber helfen bei jeglicher Frage. Als Tipp: Falls man noch nicht weiß, wie man weiterfährt, sollte man die Gastgeber fragen bevor man etwas teueres im Internet bucht.
