Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay offers absolute value for money. Tucked away in a tranquil, forested patch, it feels wonderfully secluded and peaceful while remaining remarkably close to the Sigiriya fortress and main attractions. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast—a truly fantastic spread of authentic Sri Lankan dishes that set us up perfectly for the day. Our host was wonderful, welcoming, and impressively multilingual, making communication completely effortless. A quick tip for future travelers: the final few hundred meters of the approach road are unpaved, dusty, and bumpy. While easily manageable with your own vehicle or a pre-arranged tuk-tuk, it might feel a bit rough if you plan on walking. Overall, a fantastic, authentic stay that offers tremendous value.

Very good experience in sigriya, sigriya rock is in walking distance from this home stay . supermarket, restaurant also close . we enjoyed that property , the people were also very good . and The brekfast how can i forget .. the breakfast was awesome , best breakfast in Sri lanka ..i have to say that . room was big and clean , bathroom was clean and big .. everything was so good ..

Amazing location in the middle of the jungle. Spacious rooms and the breakfast is amazing. Also the women running it are very sweet and take very good care of you.

There was a little ant invasion in the toilet, so I had to use a lot of water to get them off and use the toilet every time I needed to go. But I guess the jungle does what it does, so not really to blame on the staff or hotel.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen mit einem Welcome-Drink und haben direkt ein paar Tipps zu möglichen Aktivitäten bekommen. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und das Bett sehr bequem mit einem großen Mückennetz darüber. Vorab haben die Gastgeber für uns die Abholung aus Habarana organisiert, was auch super geklappt hat. Die Lage ist super. Man ist mitten im Dschungel und trotzdem ist der Sigiri Rock fußläufig erreichbar. Das Frühstück war fantastisch und wurde direkt frisch für uns zubereitet, nachdem wir vom Sigiri Rock zurückkamen.

Super netter Mitarbeiter, welcher uns bei allen Ausflügen und auch Transporten unterstützt hat! Er hat für uns faire Preise verhandelt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Frühstück wurde frisch gekocht und war eine große Auswahl eines typischen Frühstücks hier. Super, um sich durchzuprobieren. Wir haben den Flughafen Transfer, ein tuktuk für den Aufstieg zum Pidurangala Rock, eine private Safari sowie den Transport zum nächsten Stopp (Ella) über die Unterkunft organisieren lassen. Können alles davon empfehlen!

这里在一片树林里，非常原生态，房主人很热情，早餐是我吃过最最丰盛的一餐！大概有二十样东西。而且非常好吃。这里离狮子岩的入口并没有那么近，而且注意不要走反方向，不过这倒也是还好，因为我们在走错的路上看到了很多猴子，特别可爱，而且可以拍到狮子岩的远景！最后就是真的不要太晚回来，我们回来的路上在丛林里有一只大象（有居民提前提醒了我们，但我们没有意识到真的会遇见），还好住在入口的居民和其他旅客开车载我们进入丛林回到旅馆，不然我们真的回不来了。有点吓人但是很精彩的第一天旅程:)

冰箱里不知道有些什么，引来了一大堆蚂蚁，稍微有点吓到我。枕头附近也有蚂蚁，还好没有遭受蚊子的困扰。不过看在早餐的份上，我觉得这个价格值得。

Host migliore del mondo. Davvero è sembrato di alloggiare dallo zio singalese, con la sua famiglia e la ricchissima colazione che ci ha fatto anche da pranzo per quanto era grande e buona. Tutto 10!

This was the final accommodation on our three week trip through Sri Lanka and certainly the BEST accommodation considering the price we paid. The owners were very kind and we had great conversations. They organised everything for us - tuktuks, an incredible elephant safari and a driver back to the airport - everything for a fair price. The rooms were spacious, clean and nestled in a gorgeous garden. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE and impossible to finish as the selection was huge. Also the location in Sigiriya is perfect - it's not far from the main attractions but still away from the hustle and bustle which we appreciated in order to get a good night's rest. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience!! <3

Proche de toute les activités et j’ai reçu de très bon prix et conseille de la part de l’hôte je recommande à 100/100, le petit dej est aussi inclu c’est varié est très bon

L’endroit est au parfait endroit pour visiter le Lion Rock, Pidurangala, le Summer Palace, pour aller à Dambulla en 25mn et visiter The Cave Temple et le grand buddha. Bref, un lieu à proximité de tout dont les prix sont au top! Le petit déjeuner est très bon, des « plats » locaux sucrés et salés, y’en a pour tous les goûts. Et pour finir, Boss, le gérant est d’une gentillesse et vous arrange tous les taxis, tuktuk, safari, spa… même vos dîners, si vous voulez manger comme à la maison, vous lui demandez et il le vous l’apportera (même si personnellement je ne l’ai pas fait) et tout ce que vous voulez, à des prix défiant toute concurrence ! L’équipe est sympa et le jardin aussi.

オーナー夫妻が親切だった。 シギリヤロックが目の前に見えるバス停から徒歩圏内にあり立地は良い。 朝食大変ボリュームがあり美味しかったです。(二日連続全く同じメニューだったが) 料理教室に参加したがとても楽しかった。レシピをいただけると尚良い。 エアコンの効きが良かった。

真昼間に部屋で休もうと思ったらオーナーが庭の真ん中でラジオ？動画？を爆音で流しており休めなかった。また23時近くもレセプションでオーナーの奥様が爆音でスマホで動画を見ており寝られなかった。 ドアも遮音性があるわけではないので外の音は良く聞こえる。

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab ein sehr reichliches, selbst zubereitetes Frühstück. Die Lage ist perfekt für die Besteigung des Sigiriya Rock. Der Besitzer hat uns TukTuk's besorgt. Da der Fahrer mehr Geld wollte, hat der Besitzer dafür gesorgt, das der ausgemachte Preis bezahlt wird. Das Ambiente der Anlage ist sehr schön und gepflegt.

The stay was so green and beautiful. The hosts were helpful and guided us about everything. The breakfast was so scrumptious, I couldn't even describe it in words.

Me gustó lo limpio que estaba todo, tenía aire acondicionado, ventilador y nevera por si querías coger algo de la habitación. Era modesto pero con muy buena higiene. La señora que lo lleva era un amor, súper simpática y amable dispuesta a ayudar en todo. El desayuno no era de 10, era de 20!!! Mucha cantidad y todo delicioso! 😋 lo recomiendo a todo el mundo!!

El día que llegué no me explicaron nada, me dieron la llave y ya. La razón? Que les dije que ya había hecho el safari y que tenía conductor para todo. A raíz de eso trato nefasto. En la habitación se oía todo lo de la recepcion y el primer día llegó algún otro huésped a las 23:30 y me despertaron porque claro 20 minutos explicandoles todo (lo que no hicieron conmigo). A parte en el baño muchísimas hormigas

Posizione, defilata ed immersa nella giungla ma vicino a tutti i servizi. Colazione più che abbondante e buona. Camera spaziosa e dotata del necessario. Lo staff inoltre ci ha organizzato la cena presso un ristorante della zona delizioso con tanto di passaggio in tuktuk

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The owner and his family were so welcoming, and all the staff always greeted us with a smile. The place itself is so serene. You have a room right in the middle of the jungle, where you wake up to the sounds of animals all around you. There was always someone busy sweeping the floor or preparing things, which gave the whole place such a lovely, homely feeling. Our room was clean, very spacious and cosy. In the morning, we would wake up to an incredible vegetarian breakfast spread, which was honestly the best we have had in Sri Lanka so far. The owner was always happy to help and tended to our every need. He even introduced us to a driver who we ended up going back to for the entire rest of our trip, which was so helpful. In the evenings, we would have long chats with him, and he told us so much about Sri Lanka and his own story. You can really tell that he and his wife are genuinely wonderful people. We would recommend this place 100%! Thank you for making our stay so special. ❤️

Un hotel au milieu d'un cadre luxuriant. Accueil très convivial et petit déjeuner gargantuesque!

Consiglio vivamente il Sigiriya rock home stay! Il proprietario è la moglie sono stati molto carini ed ospitali, spiegandoci bene come muoverci e cosa visitare nei dintorni, anche raccontando aneddoti divertenti della vita a sigirya. Colazione incredibile!!

Der Kochkurse (separate angeboten) war super, und das Personal / die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, und haben alles an uns angepasst. Sie sind auch aufmerksam, weil abends sollte man nicht spazieren wegen wilden Elefanten, und ein paar Touris haben sie davor gewarnt und den gefährlichen Spaziergang abgeredet.

Der Preis vom Kochkurs war Touri Preis, aber immer noch wert.

Comfortable rooms with fridge/cold soft drinks, breakfast was huge and lovely

Difficult to communicate with staff on arrival. We wanted to book a tuk tuk so our guide arranged for the owner to come and sort that for us but he never did. It wasn't safe to walk due to wild elephants potentially in the area. We managed to download an app and booked it ourselves but took a while to find one available

Ruime schone kamer en badkamer. Locatie is goed. Paar minuten lopen naar de hoofdstraat. Ontbijt super!! Divers, veel en lekker.

Exceptionel good breakfast and friendly stuff. The place is beautiful and you can relax on the porch in front of the room while enjoying the jungle vibes.

La amabilidad del personal. Un día hasta nos vinieron a buscar a la habitación porque eran las 12 y no habíamos desayunado. El desayuno como todo el mundo dice es brutal, muy abundante con comida local. Te reciben con una bebida muy rica! La habitación era amplia y la cama cómoda. Lo del minibar es un punto! Está como en la selva pero a nada de la carretera principal, algún día nos encontramos monos enfrente de la puerta. Y por cierto, lo de los carteles de los elefantes, de tener cuidado por la noche, que andan por ahí sueltos es verdad.

No es culpa de ellos, imagino que sea por donde está situado, pero una noche el agua nos salía totalmente negra del grupo del lavabo.

Experiencia auténtica, es estar en mitad de la selva

el alojamiento era tal como ves en las fotos. lo lleva un matrimonio que te facilita muchisimo las cosas, te ayudan a gestionar todo: tuktuk, transfer, safaris, restaurantes, etc. y todo a un mejor precio. además, los dos dias nos prepararon un super desayuno tipico de SriLanka, muy bueno y abundante. se preocupaban todo el rato por nosotros y por que estubieramos bien. justo delante de la Lion Rock

como detalle, nosotros reservamos este alojamiento por que estaba muy cerca andando de todo. el problema es que para salir del hotel debes cruzar una pequeña jungla que de noche es peligrosa, por lo que para salir a cenar, dependíamos de tuktuks, y la pick me up no funcionaba siempre a la primera. si que la primera noche ellos nos pusieron un tuktuk free of charge, pero ya pierdes libertad.

La struttura è immersa nella natura, a pochi passi dalle principali attrazioni. Il proprietario e la moglie sono molto gentili, ci hanno preparato una meravigliosa colazione tipica dello Sri Lanka.

Per andare a cena nei locali poco distanti dalla struttura era necessario il tuk tuk (che spesso viene fornito gratuitamente dai ristoratori), a piedi potrebbe essere rischioso a causa degli elefanti selvatici.

Nos gusto muchísimo! Sitio inigualable, el mejor desayuno que hemos comido nunca viajando por Asia y alrededores y los propietarios un encanto, super simpáticos y serviciales. Sin duda super recomedable!

La colazione offerta era buonissima e super abbondante, staff cordiale e amichevole. La stanza era pulita e il bagno bello grande. Data l'impossibilità di muoverci in autonomia con il buio (vedi sotto) ci è stato offerto un passaggio in tuk tuk per un locale a conduzione familiare.

La posizione è si molto vicina alla Lion Rock ma il sentiero per arrivarci impedisce di uscire la sera per cenare o il mattino presto. Con il buio ci si può muovere solo con mezzi motorizzati (rischi di elefanti selvatici).

Fantastica esperienza a Sigiriya, colazione buonissima, posizione super comoda e vicina a tutto quello che può interessare. I proprietari sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili a organizzare per noi il safari a Minneriya, trasporti da e per i ristoranti, oltre a tanti altri consigli! Super consigliato!

We had an amazing stay! The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help us organize anything we needed. The cooking classes were fantastic – a great way to learn about authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The location was perfect: close enough to the city center for convenience, yet peacefully surrounded by the jungle. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts were absolutely delicious and very generous. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic experience in Sri Lanka!

Very nice stay, lovely people and amazing breakfast. It is close to the main street with lots of restaurants and short tuktukdrive from the lion rock. Also very good price quality.

L’hôte est d’excellents conseils. Il nous a indiqué tout ce qu’il fallait faire aux alentours et nous a guidé parfaitement (je recommande la safari!). Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, typiquement sri lankais et délicieux. Nous avons vraiment passé d’excellents moments à Sigiriya, je recommande fortement !!

El personal era encantador a parte de ayudarte en todo tanto en cosas del alojamiento como en cualquier actividad o servicio que quisieras contratar. Desayuno muy abundante con comida típica de la zona y mucha vegetación y fauna alrededor del hotel.
