Most beautiful place to stay with an unbeatable dinner view on the illuminated palace. Perfect location to visit the palace and go for a stroll around town. Pretty ensuite room and comfy bed. Wonderful staff and great food. We definitely recommend staying here for a visit to Bundi.

Questa struttura si trova in una bellissima posizione: dalla terrazza si può godere di una suggestiva vista sul palazzo della quale non ci si stanca mai. Menzione speciale alla gentilezza e alla simpatia dello staff. Anche il cibo era buonissimo: vale la pena fermarsi a cena (il miglior pasto che abbiamo consumato durante il nostro viaggio in India). P.S. Si può dormire con la finestra aperta grazie alla presenza di zanzariere (per nulla scontato in India). Camera davvero ben arredata e pulita!

We had an excellent stay at this homestay in Bundi. The location is fantastic, with an amazing view overlooking the fort and easy access to the old town. The true highlight, however, was unquestionably the owner. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and hospitable from the moment we arrived. He went out of his way to help us during our trip and provided valuable assistance whenever we needed it. The home-cooked food was also outstanding and added a very personal touch to the experience. His kindness and hospitality made us feel completely at home and truly made our stay in Bundi memorable.

We had a great stay at this property run by a local family that has converted their ancestral house in the old city into a four room Homestay with modern amenities while decorating it with traditional Rajastjani interiors. What we appreciated most was its cleanliness, excellent hospitality, location close to Bundi's main attraction- the Garh palace/Taragarh fort, and not to forgot the home made food prepared by the host's family. We found the breakfast to be so good that we requested the host to provide us all the meals, at extra cost of course. Host's tips on local sightseeing, arranging guide at the fort and transport to our further destination were much appreciated. Having freshly prepared tasty breakfast and dinner under the airy shed on the rooftop overlooking the medieval fort/palace, was for us the most memorable experience of this stay.

The Homestay itself is very clean but can't say the same about its surrounding area over which the host has no control. So can't blame him for that.

We loved everything. Hosts were professional and friendly, home cooked food by mom was delicious, view of palace from the rooftop terrace was spectacular.

Nanu is putting a lot of work into this place, which is already favored with a great view of the palace. The home cooking is excellent. He also helped me with some train bookings when my plans fell apart as they frequently do in India.

Be aware of monkeys, though they are not as grabby as in Varanasi or similar places.

We visited many amazing places in our tour round Rajathstan but if I were to choose somewhere to go back to and spend more time it would be Bundi and I would stay again at the Castle View Homestay. Nanu was an exceptional host and it was a pleasure to meet him and spend some time with him and his parents. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, breakfast was simple and what you would expect from a small but good quality homestay and a real highlight was the exceptional evening meals we enjoyed, perfectly prepared home cooking vegetarian favourites......And did I mention the location, the rooftop terrace with views of the palace and castle and over the rooftops of Bundi are stunning and often referenced in reviews but I would also add how at home we felt in the local streets, shops and markets. There is something special about Bundi.

Das Frühstück und das Abendessen wurden frisch zubereitet und waren sehr lecker. Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zu dem äußerst sehenswerten Palast war unübertroffen.

La situación es excelente. Las vistas desde la terraza donde se desayuna y cena son un auténtico espectáculo. Inmejorables. Las cenas hechas por la madre de la familia que lo lleva son absolutamente deliciosas. Yo creo que de las mejores, si no la mejor comida que he probado en India. Yo además tengo intolerancia al gluten y me hicieron pan especial para mi. El dueño se desvive porque estés cómodo y está atento a todo. Además es encantador ver la ilusión que tiene en seguir mejorando su alojamiento.

La calidad precio. Es un poco caro para el tipo de alojamiento que es. La habitación al ser una casa tradicional de Bundi es pequeña y sin nada más que la cama. El desayuno podría mejorar. Es importante tener en cuenta que el acceso no es para personas con algún problema de movilidad ya que se accede por una empinada cuesta y la casa tiene muchas escaleras, pero en general Bundi no es un lugar cómodo personas con problema de movilidad.

Lovely, welcoming host with clean and comfortable bed. The view from the rooftop is stunning. Evening home cooked meal was fabulous; one of the best I have eaten in 6 trips to India. The host is interesting and enlightened and was a pleasure to talk to.

The location was amazing, the view of the palace was a real highlight. Our host Nanu and his cousin Shlock were so so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even carrying my really heavy suitcase up the steep lanes! The home cooked food was delicious. Bundi is slightly off the tourist trail and this makes for an authentic view of India.

View from rooftop was amazing. The host Nanu and his brother were very welcoming and home cooked dinners by their mother were wonderful. Room and bathroom ( although basic) was very clean.

Great family run homestay in Bundi with the best views in town! Nanu was the perfect host, looking after us and helping with a Bundi Palace tour. The rooms are clean and spacious with fans and AC. It was a joy sitting on the rooftop terrace over breakfast and dinner enjoying the views. The food cooked by Nanu’s mum was sublime ♥️

Very small rooms - difficult to find space to open suitcase . The owner was doing some work on the roof top which was noisy into the evening- hopefully it will be finished soon . The home cooked food was overpriced and we were given the food from the cooking class which felt like a bit of a cheat . The alley up to the homestay is filthy - which is not the owners fault but there was monkey sh*t on the home stay steps.

The owner Nanu and his family are amazing and really helpful. The location is unbelievable, right by the palace but in a quieter corner of town. Dinner was sublime, and what a view! Watching the local life outside our bedroom window (with privacy screen) was one of our favourite pastimes - neighbours, children, cows, dogs, monkeys, birds, all together in a constant cosmic dance ☺️

The Castle View Homestay has the best view in Bundi. Sitting on the terrace watching the golden sunrise hit the fort was amazing. The a delicious homecooked dinner made with love was just wonderful and also the best in town. Nanu and his brother Shlok are great hosts who made sure our stay was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are uniquely designed with care and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! We were just a few steps away from the entrance of the fort.

this one is a gem - it is a stone throw next to the fort and Garh Palace entrance, the room is of good size, new and clean and very comfortable. Shower is hot and strong. spectecular view to the fort on the roof top morning and night, casual and decent food. the owner and family of the home stay runs the place lovingly.

Simply amazing!! Nanu's homestay is so high above expectations. The rooms are super clean, very comfortable and with amazing attention to detail (evel.fown to the locks he uses on the doors), exquisite taste. His rooftop has the best view in town, and the most impressive thing is his food : he only cooks for residents with fresh food (which is why you have to tell him before 4pm) because he cooks his food over hours, and let's just say his food is simply amazing. No wonder Nanu and his mom host cooking classes as well. If you can book there, do so if only to get a table :) Nanu, "you are a perfectionnist!"

L'arrivée à la guesthouse par la petite rue peut rebuter, mais c'est une très courte distance et cet endroit en vaut vraiment la peine !

An amazing Homestay! Wonderful food served on the most impressive rooftop terrace with exceptional views of the Bundi Palace. Nanu and his brother expertly hosted us and helped organise an expert guided tour of the Palace. You will not find a better place to stay with such a friendly welcome.

A very pleasant stay, clean and friendly owners. Their rooftop is great, a super view on the castle. They also can prepare dinner if you let it know in time. The food was really great! Compared to other home stays or restaurants with the same type of food, the food relatively expensive.

My favourite place I’ve stayed in a few weeks of travelling around Rajasthan, Nanu and his family are so lovely and this was such a great place to stay - they really made my time in beautiful Bundi extra special. Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly hosting, delicious food, and stunning views of the palace.

My stay was amazing. One minor gripe - adding some hooks/shelves or similar to have somewhere to put clothes would be really helpful. As it was they got draped over my suitcase as the alternative was the floor!

Nanu and his brother were excellent hosts and their mother cooked us delicious food. An outstanding location, right next to the castle which we visited with Nayan who was so knowledgeable about the history and the art. We loved our visit, we also really enjoyed our yoga session with Dr Renu just a short walk away

Location is perfect for access and looking at the palace, the family staff are delightful and helpful. Dinner and breakfast so tasty .

The breakfast was excellent and when you add in the fantastic views of the Castle made for a very atmospheric experience.

It rained one evening and the local monkeys sought refuge in the drier areas on the outside of the accommodation. It was lovely to have them close however they were very noisy

The host was amazing, the location is the best in Bundi and the home cooked meals were divine. They also make superb espresso, grind the beans, you won't be disappointed. Really enjoyed chatting with the host + family and appreciated how they welcomed us into their establishment.

There was nothing I didn't like. Host organised a guide for the fort who was brilliant, informative and up front with the cost. Only stayed 1 night but probably should have stayed a second!

Perfect location next to the Palace and fort, and very close to a car drop off point, yet very peaceful at night, with wildlife nearby. The hosts were exceptional, a warm welcome, knowledgeable and interested, arranging a guide, a car, tips about local sights and happy to talk about their life in India. We had an excellent cooking session, preparing our supper of pakora, palak paneer, aubergine stew, jeera rice, chicken pea curry and nan bread. The home cooked food was all local and very tasty.

The fort was closed during our visit, butt that was out of their control.

The location of this property is amazing - right below the old palace and fort. The property was very clean and bed was comfortable. The food at the homestay was outstanding vegetarian made by the mother. It was also a short walk to the Burg Cafe which served great coffee, omelettes and brownies etc. Highly recommend staying here (and in Bundi) even if it’s just to wander through the old palace and visit the Raniji-ki-Baori stepwell.

Es una casa particular de una familia, fueron muy amables con nosotros y las habitaciones son cómodas y muy bonitas. Las vistas desde el roof top del hotel son impresionantes, optamos por cenar ahí y la comida estaba muy buena. Lo único que tengas en cuenta que se trata de una casa familiar y por lo tanto van a estar más encima de ti, si quieres cenar ahí tienes que pedir lo que quieras con anticipo porque lo hace la madre de la familia para ti. Pero si no te incomoda que te aconsejen es una buena opción. Las vistas son espectaculares y te cuidan mucho. El desayuno muy rico.

La entrada es un poco complicada. En nuestro caso nuestro conductor les llamó para que vinieran a buscar nuestras maletas al parking de la entrada del palacio de Bundi, pero desde ahí, es complicado llegar si no vienen a buscarte. Tiene unas escaleras de acceso empinadas que quizás son complicadas si tienes algun problema de movilidad, para las maletas no hay problema porque ellos te ayudan con todo.

Wir haben uns im Castle View Homestay in Bundi sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser Zimmer war zwar klein aber sauber und vor allem sehr ruhig. Oben auf der Dachterrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Stadtpalast. Der Hotelmanager hat uns bei der Organisation unserer Reise professionell geholfen. Das angebotene Abendessen ist sehr empfehlenswert.

For some travellers, it can help to have ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, especially before 11-1130 pm.

Die Lage ist wirklich einzigartig. AUF der Dachterrasse sitzt man gegenüber dem Palast , besonders schön am Abend. Das Essen iwar hervorragend, das beste unserer Radjastanrundreise. Unser Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss mit Blick auf den üblichen Müll. Das Bad war nicht besonders, in die Jahre gekommen. Insgesamt ist das Homestay zu teuer .

We enjoyed wonderful conversations with the hosts throughout our stay, which added a very personal and memorable touch to the experience. Their recommendations for exploring the city and trying local food were genuine and spot-on. They also helped us arrange an excellent guide for the palace tour, which enhanced our visit even further. Geniale Lage, man kann das Abendessen und das Frühstück mit Blick von der Terrasse auf das Castle geniessen. Sehr engagiertes Personal.

Super nette Gastgeber, hervorragendes hausgemachtes Abendessen von Mama, wunderbares Frühstück mit vergleichsweise sehr gutem Kaffee. Was aber das Allerbeste war: der Ausblick auf das (nachts beleuchtete) Fort war unvergleichlich schön, zwölf von zehn Punkten. Rufzeichen! Das Badezimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett war in Ordnung, dank der Lage abseits der Hauptstraßen hatten wir einen wunderbaren, ruhigen, ungestörten Schlaf. Die Zimmer Ausstattung war sehr schön, alles m Haus war liebevoll hergerichtet.

Enfin un endroit au calme...!! Grandes chambres confortables avec climatisation, grand lits et belle SDB. Famille très accueillante et aux petits soins (ils ont gardé nos bagages le temps de la visite du Fort). Très bien situé, au pied du fort. Nous vous recommandons à 100 % de diner sur place: excellent repas traditionnel végétarien cuisiné par la maman et servi en terrasse face au fort. Le petit déjeuner est également excellent, complet et varié (salade de fruit, yaourt, paratha..). Café et chocolat chaud excellents (les meilleurs que nous ayons eu en Inde)

View of the Palace from the roof top. Very calm place. All I heard was a dog barking in the neighborhood. You can watch the monkeys play around the castle. No traffic around. Perfect place to rewind. Very very tasty food. Worth it to get dinner there.

All the staff were great, the location and view were stunning. The food was good, and the evening meals were served to our individual taste, on the roof terrace with castle backdrop, beautifully floodlit. The monkeys gave regular entertainment. It is a true and friendly homestay, and we would gladly return.

For anyone with mobility issues, it is off the beaten track and served by a steep alley and stairs. The hot water was temperamental.

We had a wonderful stay! Nandu and his family keep the place in excellent condition and serve delicious homemade food. He also arranged a taxi for us and even took amazing photos during our visit. The rooftop view of the palace is absolutely top-notch. It was a pity we could only stay for 1 night, next time we’ll definitely spend more time here!

Beste plek om in Bundi te verblijven en de oude stadswijk te verkennen ! We kunnen deze plaats alleen maar heel warm aanbevelen ♥️

Tout ! Envie de revenir et de vous dire : "Allez-y" Et bonus, nos hôtes ont fait l'acquisition d'une machine à café qui moud les grains. Du café comme à Paris, mais je vous assure, à Paris je ne dîne pas sur un brooftop face à au fort magnifique, cadre de la danse nocture des singes. ni ne dors dans une chambre aussi spacieuse.

Das war wohl die schönste Unterkunft unserer gesamten Rajasthan Reise. Tolles Zimmer, toller Service ein fantastischer Blick auf das Castle. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Essen, was die Mutter des Hauses selber kocht, war großartig. Wohl auch das beste Essen unserer Reise!! Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Aufenthalt, der leider viel zu kurz war!!! Tipp von uns: Auf alle Fälle mindestens zwei Tage buchen. Wir waren nur einen Tag dort. Bundi ist wirklich schön und lohnt einen etwas längeren Aufenthalt.
