Zvolené ubytování u čajové plantáže s možností sbírání čajových lístků Ubytování odpovídá spíše turistické ubytovně, ale zážitky perfektní, kousek do Alishan
Amazing location on a tea plantation overlooking the valley. Welcoming and friendly hosts who wrnt out of their wwy to look after us picked us up and dtove us to dinner. The dog was a hit with our 3 year old. We would stay again!
Joyce and all of the staff at the homestay were phenomenal. If your goal is to experience Taiwanese tea culture and enjoy the beauty of the mountains this is an excellent place to stay. The access by public bus from Chiayi made it possible for us to enjoy this destination without needed a car. It was also nice to get a break from the heat in Chiayi. We visited in August and did not even need AC in the rooms because the weather was surprisingly cool up in the mountains. Overall, an excellent and memorable experience. Thank you.
The breakfast was very traditional Chinese breakfast which I personally didn't find to be my favorite; however, the quality of the food was very nice.
We had an unforgettable stay at Tian Yi. From the moment we arrived, we were received with so much warmth, kindness and love. The home is really accessible, and even has a beautiful sunset viewpoint right outside. Everything was clean, comfortable and cool in the heat of summer (no need for any air conditioning!). Spend the hours drinking the freshest tea alongside their three cats, Rou Bing, Rou Bao, Baby and the sweetest three-legged dog named OK. You can even learn how pick and process your own tea. Everyone at Tian Yi is helpful and friendly with directions, and even helped us get around to Fenqihu and up to catch the sunset at Alishan. Couldn’t recommend Tian Yi enough.
Bellissimo soggiorno. Natura bellissima, negozi e bus a pochi minuti a piedi. Non volevo più andare via
Great homemade, Taiwanese-family style breakfast. Better than what you'd get at a Taiwanese breakfast store or a Taiwanese restaurant. Their dog is awesome; he comes along on hikes and even waits outside of restaurants for you.
Rooms can be a little cool. The sinks are low to the ground.
Lovely experience and a great spot if you are going to Alishan
Definitely need your own transport
Bardzo rodzinna atmosfera i przesympatyczni gospodarze. Pyszne śniadanie, można także zamówić sobie obiad/kolację. Dobra lokalizacja.

The hosts were so so nice and helpful! The location is beautiful and there’s many great hikes around!
The place was convenient for travelers by public transit. The place has 6 local trails that are amazing (very hilly but great views). The owners are very helpful and they would take us to local bus stop that's 12 min walk away so we can catch the bus into Fenchihu or Alishan. They have 3 cats and 1 3 legged dog and they're all very friendly. The owners would ask us our itinerary and give us tips. The room is spacious and the mountain stays cool/cold even during hot Taiwan summer that a fan is enough to keep you cool at night. The bed is very comfy and clean. They also offer delicious buffet style breakfast that is home cooked.
The bathroom sink water pressure is weak because it's older. The room we were in (green bird) didn't have a divider between shower and toilet and sink so the whole floor gets wet and the bubbles would flow to the sink area and I'll need to use a cup to flush the bubbles down the drain.
Being at Tianyi was the ultimate homely experience: incredibly friendly hosts, delicious home cooked meals (dinner at an extra reasonable cost), free pickup to the bus stop and nearby restaurants in Shizhuo town, willing to drive us to Alishan to see the sunset (at a cost), endless recommendations and lessons about the region, a fun tea picking and making process, chats over freshly brewed tea, cute cats. I dream of coming back!
A cute accommodation with great access to both Fenchihu and Alishan, cute animals, and unique tea picking and firefly watching experiences. If interested in picking tea on the farm, it is recommended to visit April-December so there will be tea ready to pick and to stay at least 2 nights to allow the tea to try and ferment before being ready to package. Overall great stay with lovely memories
The hosts were very helpful and accommodating during our short stay. Due to the limited transport options available to get to Tianyi Homestay, we contacted them and they were able to organise a pick-up for us from a bus stop at Fenqihu. The area where Tianyi is located is peaceful and beautiful amongst the various tea plantations. The homemade breakfast and local Oolong tea included during our stay was a highlight of our trip!
It can be a bit tricky to get to, so get in touch with the hosts beforehand if you don't think you can catch the bus.
Rien! Nous avons adoré.
The traditional tea service was very good and interesting. It was nice being able to compare different types of tea. The walk through the tea fields was very enjoyable.
The yard outside the building could use some tidying. The room was very clean, but it was a very hot day and it took the room a while to cool down that evening.
What an amazing place! Staying here was the highlight of my trip to Taiwan! The family goes out of their way to make it a wonderful experience and feel like home. They are also very helpful with their knowledge of the area. The breakfast in the morning is beautiful, as is the tea from the property that the hosts share. If you enjoy animals, “Ok” the three legged dog and the cats around the property are very sweet to hang out with. The tea picking activity was lots of fun, now I better understand the process and have my own handpicked tea as a souvenir! The bedroom and common space were also lovely and cozy. It is a very social and fun environment at the homestay and I am very grateful I got to experience it!
Everyone at Tianyi Homestay was very sincere and helpful throughout our stay. They picked us up from the bus stop and also from town when it was raining heavily. The breakfast provided was also very homely and delicious! We participated in a paid tea picking activity and learned more about their family's organic tea plantation from the boss and his daughter. Would recommend this unique experience if you would like to try your hand at processing your own tea leaves, and supporting this family's small business. Some family members may also brew tea in the morning/evening, feel free to join them for a cup of tea :) Their dog, Ok, enthusiastically guided us around Love Trail on our last morning. It was a really sweet surprise and the best way to end our trip in Shizhuo.

What a wonderful, wonderful place. Truly one of the best stays we ever had, and it's all thanks to the lovely family running Tianyi Homestay. Great insight into authentic tea-making (the workshop is a must!) and a perfect base for hikes into the fields. There's a bus stop in the village, about 15 mins by foot, and a few buses a day even stop 50 meters away.
Liegt ruhig
Sehr sehr einfach
Located in the tea fields, 15 min away by walk from the "main street", close to a lot of trails. The family is very nice and welcoming, their dog OK is very cute and lead us to trails ! Would've loved to stay one more night to do the tea activity (tea picking) which requires at least 2 nights

The overall experience is what makes this place unique. It is so much more than just an accommodation. We participated in both the Tea Experience and Firefly Excursion and they were some of the highlights of our trip to Taiwan. The host family are incredible people who really went the extra mile for us. They drove us to restaurants, helped us with transportation to Fenqihu, and made sure we were well cared for at all times. Despite my limited Mandarin, we had many interesting conversations about tea, the region and life in Taiwan. Also, don't miss out on the awesome hikes in the area. Maps are provided.
Although this was not an issue for us, this is a working tea plantation, not a hotel. Day to day business goes on and part of the fun is witnessing the daily lives of the hosts. You will cross paths with other guests and will need to interact with them to get the full benefit of this experience. This was great for us, but might not work for all travelers.
Great hotel - very comfortable and warm hosts.
This homestay is incredible. My friend and I are traveling for 3 months, and the three days we spent at Tianyi has been our favorite part of any stop so far. The family is so welcoming. They included us in karaoke nights at their home, and invited us out to dinner in town with them. The location is walkable to town, which includes two very well stocked convenience stores. But honestly, even though the location is so convenient for hiking and access to Alishan, our favorite part was the time we spent at their home!!! The entire family, and specifically the dad and the son truly made us feel like part of their family. Their pets (the three-legged dog named Okay in particular!) charmed us to our core and we feel genuinely sad to leave. We highly recommend the tea picking experience the homestay offers! It was so interesting and we left with tea that we picked ourselves! This entire stay has been highlight after highlight, and I could not recommend it strongly enough. You must go!
That we couldn’t stay longer </3
Very welcoming and friendly hosts even though there was a language barrier. Good location although it is a 10 - 15 min uphill walk from main bus stop. Can get to Alishan by bus in 40 mins. You can pay for a tea picking experience and fire fly watching experience. You also get to enjoy their home grown and produced tea with other travellers from all over the world. Located close to some great hiking trails. They have a really sweet dog named OK, that will join you on your morning hikes. They also have 3 friendly cats.
Shower didn’t drain properly.
An exceptionally warm and kind family that owns their tea farm and are active members of their community. The family is also passionate about promoting the Alishan area and all tea farms in the Shizhuo area, not just their own. This is far more of an experience than just a stay. With options to sit down and have their own grown tea and chat with the family, interact with their various pets, roam the premises and paid options to pick and process your own tea and view fireflies (only one month per year and highly recommended). There is so much to do and enjoy while also being able to access various walking paths both short and long. There is even complimentary home cooked breakfast with vegetables grown right on the farm, a very welcome comfort when traveling and constantly eating out. Also walking distance from the main town and a 7/11 which are really impressive considering that you are in a fairly remote town. Their dog "OK" is also the most lovely guide that will take guests on several hour long hikes. Just an incredibly lovely time worth at least a couple nights stay.
Beautiful area with hiking trails, friendly pets, and nice rooms. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful!
This is an exceptionally friendly homestay/bed and breakfast. For drinking high quality tea, taking beautiful mountain forest hikes and eating central Taiwanese food, it's excellent. The atmosphere is highly social, so be prepared for conversations in many languages, and cups of tea with new people every day.
If you're not feeling terribly social, this place may be challenging. It's a bit rough and ready, so don't expect much luxury. It has loads of character, though.
Wonderful location. Great tea. Super friendly dog. Nice breakfast🙂
Very basic. Felt overpriced. Especially when other guests told us they’d paid a fifth of what we paid 😕
The home stay was absolutely wonderful. The hostess was warm, kind, and generous. She went out of her way to bring me to the room quite early and drove me and another guest to dinner. She coordinated my time in town, sadly I only had one day, and helped me structure my time so that I could have a tea experience, hiking, and seeing fireflies. Bed was very comfortable, the atmosphere casual and loving, and the sweet three legged dog OK was affectionate. Breakfast was delish. The hiking trails were close walk away and clearly marked. I highly recommend this place.
Highly recommended - the host family went out of their way to welcome us. They were really friendly and helpful, including coming to pick us up (for a reasonable extra fee) from Chiayi train station and also the next day dropping us off at Fenchihu (for no extra charge). The firefly tour was amazing. The breakfast of local veggies was perfect.
We met a few creepy crawlies but given this was in the middle of a rural area then I think that's what you have to expect.
It feels like home! As soon as you walk in the door, you feel so welcomed and made to feel comfortable by the host!
Great location, a short walk from bus station, this property is on a 100 years old tea farm. The host couple is the 4th generation, they go above and beyond to make sure every guests having a wonderful time during their stay. We participated the firefly seeing and tea picking activities, which were once in a lifetime amazing experience. I strongly recommend this place.

Location was fabulous. Hosts were gracious. Tea experience terrific. Interaction with other guests. Delicious local breakfast
My best homestay in Taiwan. Hosts were the nicest you can think of. Even though the owners speak little english, their children do and you can use Google translate if needed. They grow organic tea themselves, so you can enjoy as much tea as you want anytime of the day. This creates a really cozy atmosphere when all guests sit at the tea table and chat casually! They also propose activities on the farm, like firefly watching and tea picking in spring time (I visited around April 10th). Highly highly recommend staying there for a few nights to get to know the people a little bit more.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. They picked us up at the bus station and the next day they drove us to Fenchihu. We also provided many useful information about the history, culture and the people in Taiwan. We learned a lot from them.
We liked everything.
The view of the tea plantation and cherry blossoms just outside the homestay is amazing. It’s close to trails and about an hour drive to Alishan train station. We did tea picking within the homestay and the owner shared how tea is made and we also tasted the tea grown in the plantation.
The shower water was not hot for 2 of the 3 rooms that we’ve booked. Would be great if the breakfast can be earlier or at more flexible timing.
We had an amazing time at Tianyi homestay! For starters, the location is fantastic. It's easy to get to from the Shizhuo bus stop, the area is gorgeous, and it's within walking distance of all of Shizhuo's hiking trails. The owners are lovely. They're extremely enthusiastic about what they do, and are happy to chat endlessly about their tea, their pets, or anything else you ask them about, usually over a cup of their phenomenal oolong. Breakfast was excellent. They prepared a small buffet of classic Chinese breakfast foods served with rice. It was all vegetarian, but packed with flavour. We paid for two adds-ons: the first was the firefly viewing experience. This was an after-dark stroll through the woods with the owners to watch the thousands of fireflies dancing around in the air. If you've never done this sort of thing before, I highly recommend it. There was a real magic to it that couldn't possibly be captured on video, and the owner had tonnes to say about the fireflies. Second, we did the tea picking activity. As tea lovers, this was a super fun experience. We got to pick tea leaves from the bushes just behind the homestay with guidance from the owners, then after they'd dried overnight we got to roast them and roll them to make our own tea to bring home! Overall I highly recommend staying here, whether you're a tea fan or just looking to explore Alishan.
The owners speak limited English, so if there isn't a Mandarin speaker around to translate you might have a harder time. Nevertheless, the groups that didn't have any Mandarin speakers seemed to get by and enjoy themselves.
Owners were so lovely. Homemade Brekky was delicious. The tea farm was beautiful and located close enough to shizhuo town and bus stops. Room was comfy
nothings.
The whole facility is below the standard. Rubbish everywhere in the property. Eating utensil is disorganised and unclean. Food were poor quality and uninteresting. Bedroom are small and bedding are uncomfortable. Over charged .
The room was pretty basic but clean and big enough. The location is amazing, right in the middle of tea plantations and close to many hikes you can do in the area. The host is super friendly; even if she speaks little english, she invited us and the other guests for a tea and a chat all together.
The owner is very friendly. He does not speak a lot of English but uses the translator so we can communicate with him easily. The place is in the middle of the tea plantation. He cultivate tea for r1 years and his tea is delicious, he can prepare some for you to try Oolong and Black tea. Lots of hike all around. If you don't have a car, he can drive you to a restaurant for diner.
Nothing
Location and friendliness
Owners made me feel at home and had good knowledge of the area. Highly recommend staying here rather than in the Alishan Recreational Park as this was very calm and peaceful, especially if you get up early in the morning. The lady even drove me to get my train as the buses weren’t running at the correct time. Their pets are adorable!
Owners don’t speak much English at all, but still it is easy to communicate and it adds to the experience I think!
The location had amazing views and super close to a cherry blossom viewing platform. The staff were incredible helpful despite the language barrier and constantly served hot tea from their own plantation. The host offered us maps or local trails and bus timetables for the local area and was event nice enough to drive us home from the nearby town. The house had multiple pets that were friendly.
This homestay is about a 10 minute walk from the bus station in Shizhuo. The hosts are helpful and gave us good advice on what to do during our one day stay in the area. They even drove us to Fenqihu! I loved looking out the room window right onto the tea plantation.
N/A
A wonderful host! She escorted us to the beginning of a beautiful hike with cherry blossoms and fabulous views.
It was set right in the middle of tea fields.
The stay was amazing, and the family is very friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable! The room was cozy and had two big king-size beds. There were enough outlets to charge your phones and power banks. The bathroom was good and had a nice shower. The common area was pleasant, with tables inside to sit at, and there was also an outdoor area with a roof where we had breakfast and tea. The lady of the homestay made breakfast for us every day, which was served between 08:00 and 09:30. Good to know is that the owners do not speak English very well, but this is not something you can really expect in this area. Please bring your phone for translation. Also, bring cash since you cannot pay by card. Regarding the area around the homestay, the village of Shizhao is about a 10-minute walk downhill. There, you can find some restaurants and convenience stores (7-Eleven and Hi-Life). The restaurants close early, so make sure to eat around 17:30–18:00. There is also a local grocery store where you can buy some fruit. We took the Alishan railway train from Chiayi to Fenqihu, and from there it was a 15-minute bus ride to the homestay. We also went to Alishan National Park by bus. The owners were kind enough to drop us off at the station for the tourist shuttle bus. The park itself was okay, but not as nice as the trails around the homestay. We first took the Sakura Trail, then the Sunrise Trail and Tea Trail up to 1,699 meters, and then went down again via the Cloud Trail. In our experience, this was much nicer than the more touristy Alishan Park. They also have a very friendly three-legged dog named “OK” who accompanied us on the 12-kilometre hike we did.
The host is lovely and picked us up from the local bus stop as we had luggage and were travelling with 2 young kids. She even dropped us off to a nearby local trail which was greatly appreciated. The room was comfortable and clean, though a bit dated. We were served tea a few times during our visit which was lovely and served breakfast in the mornings. The location is reasonably convenient for the area in that it was close to bus stops and eateries and there are some nearby walking trails. Would recommend staying here.
Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with this accommodation. Sadly, it appears they are more focused on making money than anything else. The positive thing was when we arrived and having booked two nights, I told her immediately that I would only want to stay one night because it was nothing like what we expected all the photographs. She agreed to one night only after quite a bit of haggling. We didn’t feel that the rooms have been properly cleaned let alone the bedsheets. It’s far away from the village. You cannot walk at night to get something to eat. The town is not very nice. Either the highlight was the forest.
Everything - shabby - dirty and run down. No heating in the rooms. It was cold. She offered blankets, which was a dirty old duvet from a previous overnight.
Hosts were super friendly, offering to drive us around as we didn’t drive. Super friendly pets as well :) Hosts were extremely hospitable, introducing us to the surrounding offerings including a special coffee visit at one of their friends’ place. Added bonus was the free flow tea that they kept offering which was extremely delicious and yummy :))
Location was close to public transport, shops and restaurants and easy to get to. It was near a lot of great walking trails.
We had a great stay. Beautiful location. Not "fancy" accommodations but perfectly nice and clean. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and served delicious tea, but if you're looking for a tea "ceremony," you won't find that here. The weather was cloudy on the night we were there, so we didn't catch a sunset, but it seemed like the sunset would have been magnificent most other nights. The property has nearby places to watch both sunrise and sunset, and there are also beautiful hiking trails right near by. The night we were there, the local town was hosting a festival for the start of cherry blossom season. The hosts took all us guests to the ceremony in their personal cars, and this was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The hosts also took us to a local restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed local foods. The view from the homestay property was incredible. The hosts do not speak much English, so if this is the only language you speak, you will rely on Google Translate to communicate with the hosts (or other homestay guests who are willing to translate). The homestay is about a 45 minute drive from the town of Alishan where you can catch the trains to the sunrise viewing spot and the other parts of the park. They have a tea picking experience for most of the year, but we were there during Winter, so this was not available. Overall we would highly recommend staying here!
Mooie kamer, vriendelijke mensen.
Niets
The host was very warm and friendly. After check in, she drove us to the restaurant as we had just arrived from a long journey from TaipeI then took us to a special place to view the cherry blossoms. We really enjoyed chatting with her and other guests while having their homemade tea. The host and her family made everyone feel welcome. The place is simple but the experience was made special because of the lovely people, their cute pets and plants. 🙂 The location was good as it was close to the observation platform where you can see the tea farm and mountain view and the walking trails are nearby too. The restaurants and bus stop are only a 5 minute drive down.
If walking, it is a steep 20 minute climb from the town center to the accommodation.
This was the first time we have used a homestay. It was very interesting seeing how local people live.
Nothing
