Abbiamo passato un ottima notte nella struttura, al nostro arrivo ci è stato offerto l’upgrade gratuito alla camera con vista dato che era libera. Lo abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo! Nonostante la proprietaria non parli bene inglese con le app di traduzione è facilissimo comunicare e è stata sempre super attenta e disponibile! La mattina ci ha servito un ottima colazione!!! Veramente consigliato!

The location is right amongst the tea plantations on the way to Alishan, and the beginning of Fog / Misty trail (a part of a 3 mile loop through the area with lots of scenic spots) begins right next to this homestay. We splurged and got the most expensive room which had an incredible view during sunrise, sunset, and even during regional rain, beautiful bathroom and design. Not all of the rooms have that view, so I’d highly recommend booking the top room if you’re making the trek up to Alishan. The hosts were soooo warm and welcoming, drove to pick us up from the Shizhuo bus station so we didn’t have to worry about carrying luggage uphill in the rain. They also have a really friendly senior cat, adding more charm to the place. I’d definitely go back to the same place if some forest / nature therapy is needed.

Stayed in a room with a HUGE window facing the mountain, so beautiful. Loved the location right at the start of the Mist Trail. Breakfast was delicious.

Wow! Tucked in the hillside along with many other home stays, right at the start of one of the many short trails through the tea fields, Green Incense was maybe our favorite stay in Taiwan! Reasonably priced, huge room with amazingly-large windows looking out over the terraces, it was a peaceful oasis. Great traditional breakfast, and the lovely hosts helped us get to and fro when arriving and leaving. We LOVED it!!

Wonderful location on a tea farm with beautiful surroundings. Just a few steps away from the start of the Mist trail. Delicious breakfast and a nice variety of different food. Great communication and very friendly hosts. Gave us a ride to and from the bus station.

The location is great as it is up on the hill but not too far away from town. The owner is very accomodating & nice in picking up / dropping off to town, which REALLY helps. It is conveniently located next to the start of the Mist trail which leads you up to some epic viewing spots. We stayed here for a night before an Alishan day trip the next day which is only around 40mins bus ride away. I'd recommend staying here if you are planning on visiting Alishan or even better 2 nights and have a day to take your time doing the hikes around here!

The hosts were very warm, welcoming and accommodating. They helped us book a transfer from the accommodation to Alishan to see the sunrise. They also offered to pick us up from the Shizhuo bus stop. Exceptional service and comfy bed and sizeable room. Great location, right next to the tea farms and the Mist Trail.

Everything was perfect, stuning location and incredibly nice people

Location and service was great - on a tea farm adjacent to a compelling trail that went through farms and forest. They picked us up at the train and drove us to bus stops. Breakfasts were good. All in all a wonderful experience.

It has been said by others - the beds were very hard. I backpack and sleep on ultralight, thin mattresses. I have owned several cotton futons. I enjoy firm beds. I do sleep on my side. This was another level - call it hard. Someone sleeping on their back should have no trouble. It was a great stay in a beautiful location with great service, so I don't want them to lose potential bookings - I enjoyed the stay a great deal. Next time I will bring my backpack mattress.

Confort et situation

The location in the middle of a tea farm and right next to the Tea Mist Trail was incredible!!!! Big windows and nice chairs to enjoy the views. The hosts were SOOOO kind and helpful and responded quickly to any questions. The breakfasts were a nice mix of traditional (strange) Taiwan food and more recognizable options for Americans. The bathroom and shower were nice and spacious. Everything seems new.

Be prepared for a long steep set of metal stairs to the room. We are fit and it wasn't a problem for us. I read reviews about the very firm beds so I asked for extra padding, which helped a little. The driveway is also very steep and they want you to back in to your spot, so it's tight and tricky, but they jumped in the car and did it for us.

Location is great - only 15min walk from the center and the start of the Mist trail (especially important if You came for hiking). From just about everywhere around You have wonderful views of surroundings! Wendy was so kind and took us with her car to catch bus to Alishan. We had a large room with heated mattress in case it's cold! Breakfast was delicious and different every morning!

Showering was a bit complicated, but not impossible - our host had tips & tricks for everything!

The hostess was so nice and attentive, she gave us all the information we needed about the area. The hotel van picked us up in Fenqihu and dropped us off at Shizhuo Bus Station the next day. The trails around the hotel are beautiful with lots of tea fields.

The bathroom and shower are basic (no shower stall).

Stunning room overlooking the tea fields and close to hikes in shizhuo. Bus stop, stores, and restaurants a 15 min walk away. Incredible hosts and staff who go above and beyond to make your trip memorable. My favorite 3 nights in Taiwan.

De host was zo lief! De maakte ons iedere ochtend vers ontbijt en heeft ons ook opgehaald vanaf Fenqihu en naar de shuttlebus naar Alishan gebracht. De omgeving is schitterend! De kamers zijn ruim en schoon.

Incredible location, very friendly hosts, excellent breakfast. Hiking trails start right at the homestay, with great views all around. Wendy and her family helped us plan our activities and drove us to town & back multiple times. Breakfast was varied and healthy - a lovely way to start our days. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with the beds being quite firm. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing views, wonderful hiking available directly from the hotel’s driveway. The owner & her father picked us up from the bus stop, and dropped us off at Fenqihu at the end of our stay. Solid breakfast in the morning. Room comfortable, clean, and quiet, with a great view of the tea fields. Overall I would recommend this as a place to stay in Shizhuo. Also, easy to get up to Alishan for the day from here should you desire to do so.

Hotels in Asia often have firmer beds than I’m used to, but the bed here was exceptionally firm. With that said I slept well!

Such a beautiful location with a great view!

The family running it were really nice and helped us a lot. Both with planning our stay, travel to the next destination, driving us to and from the bust stop and recommending dinner. The breakfest was nice, the view was amazing (you can see the sakura trail). The room was big and spacious.

The beds were really hard but the pillows were soft so it was OK.

Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Zimmer im zweiten Stock bekommen, weil unseres überbucht war. Die Besitzer haben uns kostenlos wegen dem Regen vom Bus abgeholt. Das Personal war sehr nett.

Viele Haare am Boden und gelbe Flecken auf der Bettwäsche. Das Zimmer war direkt am Gemeinschaftsraum und Gäste haben wiederholt bei uns geklopft, weil sie dachten wir wären die Besitzer

The owner was so kind, she picked me up at Shizhuo bus station. She explained to me everything to see in Shizhuo and Alishan. She also took the time to do a tea tasting session. The homestay is right next to the Mist trail. I wanted to see the sunrise, and she found someone else from a nearby homestay who also wanted to do it, so we were able to split the fare of the private driver (TWD 800 each person) Highly recommend!

Sehr grosse und saubere Räume, gutes Frühstück und sehr sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Sie kamen uns abholen von der Busstation im Dorf und haben uns auch immer wieder dahin gefahren. Der Vater der Vermieterin hat sich sogar Zeit genommen und einmal Tee für uns zubereitet und uns etwas übers Tee Machen erzählt. Alles in allem super, würde ich sofort wieder buchen!

Der Aufenthaltsraum wo auch Frühstück serviert wird könnte etwas sauberer sein.

The weather. Despite good location, weather was misty and we missed a wonderful sunset.

Loved the location of this homestay- it’s just 1km from the small but main part of Shizhuo. We were able to walk down the hill to restaurants, convenience stores, and the bus stop. There’s also many hiking trails through the tea fields right behind the property. The drive to Alishan was 40 mins (only need one day there) and the hosts drove us with another group for the sunrise. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. They gave us many recommendations and offered to drive us to different spots. She really made our time there special! Breakfast was cooked by her which was simple and delicious. Be sure to ask about trying their tea and they’ll happily walk you through the varieties they grow. Highly recommend staying here!

I would recommend booking a room with a view. We were on the ground floor which meant we couldn’t really open our window. Would’ve definitely been worth paying a bit more for a higher room since the surroundings are so beautiful!

We love the views of the tea plantation and mountains from our room and the hosts are hospitable.

We found the bed mattresses a bit too firm and the accommodation is a bit overpriced for what the level of facilities provided.

The owners were very nice and offered to drive us to nearby sites and restaurants. The location was very good and right by the start of a couple of trails, and only 15-20 minutes walk from the nearest village with shops/restaurant (although the owners offered to drive us so we didn’t end up having to walk). Our room had a great view of the valley and tea farms, and was comfortable enough. Breakfast was nice although served cold.

No hand soap in the room so had to use shower gel. The breakfast was good but we were served tea from a tea bag, which was disappointing considering we were staying on a tea farm.

A charming place, right in the middle of the tea plantations and at the start of one of the most beautiful trails in the area. 10-15 minutes walking from the village center. The room was very spacious and clean, with a beautiful view. The owners were very helpful; they picked us up at the bus stop and drove us free of charge on several occasions, both to go into town for dining and to explore the surrounding area

Loved the modest, homely vibe of the home stay nestled beside the tea fields. Our Mountain View room had two firm double beds, was spacious and bright and had a wonderful, relaxing view over the tranquil tea plantations and some of the valley in the distance. Parking is available on-site and there is a shared refrigerator in the common kitchen area downstairs. Wendy, her parents and family who run the home stay really make the stay very special - they were so welcoming and eager to help plan our trips in the locality, fed us delicious local dishes and were so generous and accommodating. We were able to order a vegetarian meal each night at the home-stay, which was so delicious and so convenient. When we left we felt like we were saying good-bye to dear friends! We will definitely be back in future.

Hosts went above and beyond to ensure a great stay. First, Wendy helped me install WhatsApp so that we could text directly and arrange for pickups and drop offs from the Chiayi train station, Alishan and also within the town for dinners. Wendy’s husband picked us up promptly and even took us to a local place for lunch, he stopped for us also when the kids got carsick and needed a break. I was also able to text for an earlier pickup when we were done hiking in Alishan for our ride back to Chiayi train station. Their family also grows tea at the property and Wendy scheduled a tea tasting with her dad who educated about how to prepare and enjoy tea. Wendy also called a restaurant for us multiple times to change dinner reservations. Breakfast was home cooked, our host specially prepared green onion pancakes and millet donuts for our kids! The room was also huge with enormous picture windows with views of the mountains, tea fields and cloud forests. The famous Mist Trail starts right at the end of the driveway so we hiked it twice during our stay. Again, a really kind family with a comfortable property in a beautiful location!

Everything was perfect.

The bnb is located in 石棹，surrounded by beautiful mountains in 阿里山鄉。The view was breathtaking and it's a 3 minute walk to 石棹觀景台。Owner was super kind and explained to us about the hiking trails nearby. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and the bnb was quiet and cool at night. Breakfast was traditional millet/rice congee and a few side dishes (清粥小菜), basic, but the lady owner brew a pot of coffee for us. A wonderful stay.

The hot water at the shower was unstable; it turned cold in the middle of use.

The hosts are really great, they explained to us everything in detailed, helped us plan our journey to alishan, and spent a great deal of time taking us to the restaurants and bus ststions.

We really loved our stay here. The garden room facing the tea farms had beautiful views, it's spacious, clean and quiet, and the shower pressure is great (and views of the tea farms from the bathroom, too). We liked that the start of the Mist Trail is right outside the homestay. The family who owns the place are so lovely and kind.

It was incredibly relaxing to be in the middle of tea farms. The owners picked us up from and brought to the bus station. It’s an okay walk as well. There is a tea factory at the end of the street heading towards the centre where you can observe the whole process of tea making. All was extremely clean and the typical breakfast was good.

Lovely Homestay with perfect view and so welcoming hosts. It was an amazing time staying there. They helped us with every matter.

The mattresses are rather hard, but for me it was no problem. In the area are not many good restaurants and everything closes after 6 PM.
