Ba Danh Homestay & Kitchen - Ben Tre Mekong

I was looking for a location far from the busy streets and noise, and this was great! I loved it! It was unexpectedly beautiful and calm so I ended up extending my stay. It was a bit tricky to find the location, but once there, everything was perfect. The facilities are well taken care, the food was delicious and fresh. The common areas really allow people to meet. I recommend it 1000% if you like nature.

Det var meget rolige omgivelser, hvilket er princippet bag at booke et homestay til at starte med.

Værelserne er lidt for primitive. Da der kun er en lille fane på værelset, bliver der meget varmt. Samtidig var der huller i vores myggenet, hvilket betød mange myggestik i løbet af natten. Det var ikke muligt at "bestille" morgenmad, men man fik blot serveret noget tilfældigt (første morgen var en form for Banh Mi, og anden morgen var nogle kolde nudler og yoghurt). Morgenmaden i sig selv var ok, da den også var inkluderet i den samlet pris for opholdet, men det kunne have været rart at have valgmuligheden mellem 2 forskellige ting eksempelvis.

Cuesta un poco llegar hasta allí, porque está en mitad del manglar, pero es parte de su encanto

Il posto è molto bello immerso nella natura, però dovrebbero aggiornare la posizione su Maps perché è difficile da trovare e arrivando con i bagagli si fa molta fatica a raggiungere l'alloggio.

We stayed for 7 nights. The host and lovely staff take great care of the property and make you feel truly welcome. Breakfast included is a highlight, with different homemade Vietnamese dishes every morning, prepared with fresh ingredients, many from the garden. Lunch and dinner can also be arranged in advance, so you can enjoy a meal without leaving the homestay. The Zig Zag tour is a good way to discover more of the area and its culture.

En smuk naturoplevelse med en utrolig ro efter HCMC virvar. Meget primitivt, men samtidigt utroligt charmerende. Vores børn nød de fine fællesarealer. Personalet var utroligt søde, al kommunikation foregik via Google oversæt.

Maden var ret varierende og manglede friske krydderurter og krydderi, og der var lidt langt fra andre spisemuligheder.

Amazing stay on this coconut farm! Really peaceful, amazing food, lovely family, free bicycles to ride around and can rent kayaks. They can show you how to make coconut candy which is very cool! I recommend for a wonderful relaxing stay surrounded by nature!

Just to note that the bathrooms are outside in another building (still close).

We loved our stay at Ba Danh homestay! It was so peaceful and restful - the perfect place to relax in the hammocks and recuperate! We felt so well looked after by Si and his family and the food was INCREDIBLE! We enjoyed cycling around the village (bicycles available for free), going on a serene local guided boat tour of the Mekong river and going canoeing. The rooms were clean and had mosquito nets over the beds. Would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing and more authentic experience of Mekong.

The fan in the room next to ours was unusually loud (sounded like it needed fixing), which kept us up some nights. But otherwise, no complaints!

Very relaxing place to stay, staff and locals were very friendly. We were only going to stay a couple of nights and ended up staying for 5 days.

Nothing we didn't like but if you venture off on bikes or mopeds make sure you take notes of landmarks and follow the directions the host gives you on Whatsapp because google maps will get you lost.

La difficulté pour y accéder. Chambre un peut petite par rapport a l'espace du lieu et un lit grinçant.

Un vrai petit coin de paradis ! La propriété est magnifique, avec un ruisseau qui passe au milieu et la rivière juste derrière, sur laquelle on peut faire du kayak. Les alentours sont très agréables à pieds ou en vélo. Tout le monde était très gentil et serviable, la nourriture était excellente. Les chambres étaient très confortables, chaque lit est équipé d’une moustiquaire.

Étant donné que les murs sont très fins, on entend tout. La nuit c’est agréable car on entend les animaux et insectes aux alentours. Mais le matin on entend également lorsque les gens se réveillent. Les chambres n’ont pas de climatisation mais ont un ventilateur. Les jours de grosses chaleur, ça peut être difficile, mais le lieu en vaut vraiment le coup !

We booked 2 nights at their Double Room but we stayed in a triple room and felt that we were quite restricted with space. Pros: - Located outside of the town centre and in the small villages of Ben Tre. - Convienent shops and restaurants are nearby easily accessible by their bicycle free rental. - Simplicity of the accommodation - big continental breakfast is included - host was responsive whenever you have a question.

Cons: - some guests decided to chat out loud around 5am and blasted out music from their phone around 6am. My point is that it could be noisy as the rooms aren't contained. No roof.

Gần thành phố Bến Tre nhưng lại rất miệt vườn, yên tĩnh. Rất tiện để vào trung tâm và đi ăn uống những quán ngon địa phương. Nhân viên hiền hậu, chu đáo, hiếu khách. Đồ ăn trong bếp làm rất ngon, vừa miệng và giá cả phải chăng. Bữa ăn sáng đi kèm có thêm bánh quê nên rất thú vị.

Unique traditional style. Delicious food and lovely staff. We did a half day tour with Mekong Zigzag exploring the area.

Il menù un po'scarno. Si possono prendere e segnare a parte drinks e caffè ma non ci sono proposte per avere della frutta.

On a passé un séjour au top dans cette maison d'hôte familiale ! Tout le monde est souriant et sympathique. Vélos gratuit à disposition, tour de barque à prix mini dans les superbes canaux à proximité. Le petit déjeuner ainsi que les repas sont délicieux. Franchement ne pas hésiter à venir ici si vous êtes de passage à Ben tre !

Absolutely lovely, would have loved to stay more if I could. Perfect to relax and the family is lovely. Recommended to have dinner there, you can choose in advance what to eat for dinner and they give you big portions!

Wer die Natur liebt, ist dort genau richtig. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes sauberes Zimmer mit einer Glasfront, gute Betten. Davor eine Terrasse, die direkt an einen kleinen, dicht bewachsenen Wasserkanal grenzte. Anfang Februar keine Stechfliegen. Sehr gutes Frühstück, Hängematten zum chillen

Wir waren öfters mit einem Roller unterwegs. Man muss aufpassen, dass man das Homestay in der stark bewachsenen Naur (herrlich) und dem Wirrwarr der kleinen Wege wieder findet. Keine Wegweiser 😁

Personnel chaleureux et disponible pour m’aider à trouver le homestay, organiser des activités, et pour trouver mon bus au départ. Les chambres et la salle de bains commune sont simples mais propres et confortables. Les moustiquaires sont un vrai atout! Des vélos sont disponibles pour se balader sur les petits chemins aux alentours. Les repas préparés par les hôtes étaient excellents!

Chambre avec vue sur jardin très confortable, nourriture vraiment excellente et hôtes très accueillants! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié de se balader en vélo dans le coin.

Très très bel endroit dans les cocotiers, tout en bois dans un très beau jardin et personnel très accueillant. Hyper relaxant. La chambre avez salle de bain privée est confortable et grande. La cuisine est très belle bonne. Prêt de vélos et de canoës. Une de nos adresses préférés.

Au milieu des arrroyos du Mékong, si vous chercher une image d'Epinal c'est ici que vous la trouverez. Une ambiance chaleureuse et totalment décontractée, on se sent très vite chez soi, et on n'a plus envie d'en partir.

Le cadre. Le Homestay est localisé dans un endroit magnifique, au milieu de la jungle. Si vous voulez être plongé dans l'ambiance du Mékong, c'est le bon endroit.

Le lit. Les draps sont en matière synthétique et les oreillers de très mauvaise qualité. Dormir avec des draps synthétiques avec une telle chaleur c'est insupportable.

Ruhige Lage mit grossem Garten. Sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber, welche auch ein super Tourenprogramm organisieren.

Ein Moskitonetz in allen Zimmer würde den Aufenthalt weiter aufwerten. Die kostenlosen Fahrräder müssten mal überholt werden.

La nourriture est très bonne et ils ont accepté de nous préparer un repas quand on est arrivé assez tard le premier jour. Les vélos gratuits

Nous voyageons depuis quelques mois et souhaitions un endroit pour nous reposer. Que fut notre surprise quand nous nous sommes aperçu qu’il n’y avait pas de toit. Ce ne ce sont pas des chambres mais un dortoir donc. Les lits sont simplement séparés par des « murs » qui sont juste des planches de bois. Les nuits ont été super entre le voisin qui ronfle et la voisine qui laisse sont ventilateur allumé h24. Ainsi que les appels des un et des autres. La lumière qui ne s’éteint pas la nuit. Quel est l’intérêt de faire ça ? Le rapport qualité prix n’est donc pas bon du tout.

A very nice and calm homestay, surrounded by coconut trees. The staff is very nice, and the food is really good. You can use the bikes to go around, much appreciated.

I stayed here for four nights. The staff is very kind. You can have a little chat with them if you like and they helped me with some planning planing. You can rent a bicycle for free and they even have a contact where you can rent a scooter. They offer delicious dinner for a good price. It was very clean.

La ubicación es idilica, lleno de naturaleza y en medio de la nada. Sensación de relax total, ayudado por los trabajadores del homestay. Muy recomendable dar el paseillo en barco en el mismo complejo del homestay por parte de un amigo de la familia. Cena muy correcta por 100k por persona.

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas y hay muchos mosquitos, cosa normal por estar en medio de la jungla.

Lo staff è molto disponibile, appena ho prenotato si sono messi in contatto con me e mi hanno offerto (a pagamento) il trasporto per raggiungerli visto che le macchine arrivano circa 600m prima della struttura. Ho prenotato tramite loro un tour di una intera giornata per conoscere il delta del Mekong e sono stata contentissima del giro in motorino e in barca a vela, in un giorno ti fanno vedere tutto nella loro terra e assaggiare i prodotti locali. La struttura si trova immersa nella natura, lontano della cittadina. Buona la colazione! Ho anche cenato da loro e mi sono trovata bene. Lo consiglio!!

Delightful place to stay in the Ben Tre area. Amongst a working farm in the Mekong Delta with the opportunity to take a glimpse of traditional life! Wonderful hospitality as well!

Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Déconnexion garantie et personnel au top ! Petit point de vigilance : l'hébergement se situe en dehors de la ville et n'est pas accessible en voiture. Il vaut mieux arriver de jour pour parcourir les 500m restant à pied sereinement (pas d'éclairage la nuit et le logement est situé sur les bord du Mekong dans un petit village)

Everything was amazing! The house is very coozy, the owner was super kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved our experience. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It's run by a lovely Vietnamese family who make us feel welcome. They helped us book transport and local tours, which made everything so much easier. I even forgot my laptop charger, and they kindly sent it all the way to Ho Chi Minh City for me without asking for anything in return—an incredible gesture we deeply appreciated. The food was good and fresh, especially the breakfast and meals prepared on-site. We truly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. A huge thank you to the owners for all their help and kindness!

We liked the rustic charm or the farmstay. Rural location on a coconut farm. Sweet manufacturing next to the rooms, was interesting. Family run. Great hosts. About 12 rooms. Separate shower and toilet block. Good food. Reasonable prices. Bicycles and kayaks. Nice walks. Hammocks to chill on. Ben tre is a nice town too. Good market. Quite smart in the new centre.

Noisy karaoke most nights, spoils the atmosphere. Not the fault of farm stay. The toilets and shower blocks need a really good clean.

Really beautiful place which felt a real escape after HCMC. Facilities are basic as you’d expect, but it was very comfortable - mosquito net worked well and we weren’t too hot at night with the fan. Owner is extremely helpful - we left something valuable there and he has been great in attempting to return it to us. Food was good, free water and coffee (in the mornings) a bonus.

If you are a light sleeper and have noisy neighbors, the roof is the same for all rooms, so it might be difficult to sleep.
