Aura B&B - The Haveli Homestay

Séjour absolument incroyable chez Prafull et sa famille. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. La demeure, une ancienne haveli, est parfaitement décorée et pleine de charme. Elle est idéalement située tout en étant à l’abris du bruit. La chambre était très confortable et d’une propreté irréprochable. Il y a également un rooftop avec une vue imprenable sur le fort. Et que dire de Prafull et sa famille..! Nous avons rarement vu des personnes aussi attentionnés auprès de leurs hôtes. Ils nous ont donné d’excellents conseils pour notre séjour, nous ont aidé à trouver nos saree pour un mariage, pour les transports… Il est également possible de dîner sur place, dîner absolument exquis préparé par la maman. Les petits déjeuners proposés sont eux aussi très bons et très copieux. En bref je ne peux que vous recommander de séjourner chez Aura B&B, le rapport qualité prix est absolument imbattable.

La struttura è molto accogliente, la camera pulita e gli host fantastici. Ci hanno dato consigli su tutto (cosa vedere in città, come spostarci e sulle città vicine). La cucina è veramente ottima (c’è la possibilità di fare colazione e cenare in struttura). Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa, super disponibili. Gli host migliori trovati in giro (non solo in India)!!

La struttura è davvero molto bella e la famiglia che la gestisce di una gentilezza rara e sincera. La camera che ci è stata assegnata era piccola, ma pulita e confortevole. La posizione è ottima per visitare la città, anche se difficile da raggiungere in tuk tuk.

La colazione prevede due sole opzioni (continentale e indiana, entrambe con due sole alternative). Abbiamo anche provato il menù della cena (vegetariana): era tutto molto buono, ma poco vario.

Clean and comfortable… beautiful family

We had the best experience staying with Prafful and his family. From organising tuktuks for sightseeing, local shopping and eating advice and liasing with our taxis for pick up and drop off, his attention to service was impeccable. Accomodation was excellent, this is a homestay so felt like we were part of the family visiting! All rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable. The roof terrace offers brilliant views of the fort too.  Food is available - Highly recommend traditional Indian breakfast options (which were made vegan to suit us) along with delicious dinner cooked by Praffuls' mother. If you want to immerse yourself in old Jodhpur this is the place to stay!

Ciò che rende questa struttura da 9 sono i proprietari, gente meravigliosa pronta e disponibile per aiutarti per qualsiasi cosa. Durante il soggiorno siamo stati male (non per colpa della struttura, siamo arrivati già malati) e sono stati gentilissimi! Ci hanno addirittura procurato i sali minerali per reidratarci (ors). Struttura da 6/7, ospitalità da 10 e lode.

La camera era un po’ piccolina e non molto curata. Se posso consigliare un mini frigo per tenere l’acqua in fresco.

Best homestay to stay at in Jodhpur! The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, and we immediately felt at home. They even called our bus driver to confirm the boarding point and checked on us once we were on the bus to make sure everything was fine. The homemade food was delicious, the room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the house itself is beautiful and cozy. The photos perfectly match reality. We also really enjoyed the rooftop access. Highly recommend Aura B&B Homestay!

It's hidden in haveli, off the main street so you won't hear scooters all night. I liked the decorations and charming vibe of that place. I hope I will be back here someday 🤙

If we could rate this 11 out of 10, we would def choose 11! We stayed over 2 night and we absolutely loved it. Rooms are enough spacious and very well maintained, they have a very fresh smell and the bathroom is good as well. We loved the way they decorated it, it’s really cozy and unique! They have an amazing terrace with view on the fort and the white temple on the hill. But the best of all was the outstanding homemade food that the mom would prepare upon request for the guests. There’s so much love in it and such a home feeling taste that we could only recommend you to eat there!

We loved everything. It’s quiet and very beautiful, decorated with a good taste. We had a big room, very clean, with comfortable bed. The hosts are simply amazing and we truly felt at home. They do everything with heart. We had also very nice breakfast and dinner and instead of 3 days we stayed for a week. Nice terrace and view. Unser Aufenthalt im Homestay Aura B ‘n B war rundum wunderbar – wir wären gerne länger geblieben als nur eine Nacht. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir vom Sohn des Hauses, Praphul, äußerst herzlich empfangen. Er hat die ganze Zeit gestrahlt, war sehr freundlich, humorvoll und hat sofort eine positive, entspannte Stimmung verbreitet, sodass wir uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Das Homestay selbst ist sehr sauber sowie schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Besonders genossen haben wir, dass wir uns entschieden haben, im Homestay zu Abend zu essen. Es gab ein köstliches Kartoffel-Kohl-Gericht, Daal, Reis und Chapati – alles frisch und gut abgeschmeckt. Das selbstgemachte Hari-Mirch-Achaar (Chili-Pickle) war unglaublich lecker und hat dem Essen das gewisse Etwas verliehen. Als krönenden Abschluss bekamen wir Gulab Jamun als Nachspeise, einfach himmlisch. Wir konnten leider nur eine Nacht bleiben, aber beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Jodhpur werden wir uns auf jeden Fall wieder für dieses Homestay entscheiden. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die echte Gastfreundschaft und hervorragendes hausgemachtes Essen erleben möchten.

The family at this homestay are immensely welcoming and helpful. Aura is situated in the heart of the old city of Jodhpur, within 10-15 minutes walk of the clock tower, fort, step well and blue streets. The room was very cosy and I particularly appreciated the home-cooked dinner (a bargain at an additional 450 rupees) which I ate on the roof terrace with a stunning view of the fort.

Honestly I can't fault the Aura. Everyone was so friendly, the location is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Cudowne miejsce. Serdecznie polecam. Jest to rodzinny pensjonat. Goście są zadbani w 100%. Pokoje są czyste, gustownie urządzone, oczywiście ciepła woda, usługi dodatkowe jak wymiana pieniędzy i pralnia, transport. Haveli jest magiczne, pełne uroku. Pyszne i bardzo obfite śniadania. Przyjechaliśmy bardzo późno i dostaliśmy prysznic kolację.

Nie było nic takiego. Bardzo dziękujemy! Pobyt był wspaniały.

Magnifique Haveli homestay très propre, original et extrêmement bien décoré. Accueil personnalisé exceptionnel de la part du propriétaire et de son père. Accompagnement et conseils tout au long du séjour. Un endroit à ne pas manquer. Nous avons tout aimé.

Je n’ai que du positif à dire sur ce lieu charmant. La famille propriétaire est d’une gentillesse inouïe. Un énorme coup de cœur pour ce lieu et ces gens qui donnent tout pour nous satisfaire. Lieu près de tout. Avec une vue incroyable.

We had a wounderful stay at Aura B&B when visiting Jodhpur and felt very welcomed by the family Prafull. They contacted us early and made sure we would find our way thru the narrow streeets. They gave us good tips and recommendations for the city and showed us they way. We can really recommend to eat dinner at their place as we did 2 out of 3 nights. Delicious home cooked food served at their rooftop. Thank you so much for cooking! ❤️ A very cozy and clean Haveli with great view from the rooftop over the Mehrangarh fort and White Palace where we also had our breakfast in the sun. They help us with tips on what to visit next on our trip towards Udaipur and also arranged the car service. Thank you very much for your help and we had a great stay at your place. Its a small family hotel. The rooms are very big, and comfortable. The father and his son are always ready to help you for everything. You can eat a very goood home vegan food( dinner & breakfast. The hotel is a bit outside the center but it is for good. The is not the terrible noise If you want a tuk tuk driver will help you with a good price.

The vibe here is extraordinary good. Superfriendly familiy hosting us and we felt so welcome and taking cared of. We just loved our stay. Difficult to find around in the narrow streets, but there are sign for direction to the homestay and the hosts were good to give directions. The neighborhood is very safe and people around where very helpfull, so just allow yourselves to get lost in the narrow streets for the adventure. We hade a wellmade dinner at the homestay and it was delicious😊

Very conveniently located inside the old town, everything within walking distance. Very nice hosts who try to help you with everything you need. Delicious breakfast.

The bed was quite hard like in many places in India.

the hospitablity was amazing and so professional. the son/manager gave me the best recommendations for my city stroll, i didnt need a tuk tuk or a guide and had the very best City tour by myself, just with his advice the room was cosy! clean. bed and pillow bit hard. there was no electric kettle, but i asked for one and got it immediately. there is filtered water where u can refill bottles. the location is so nice, in the old town. everything in walking distance. quiet and safe location. i didnt eat breakfast, sure its delicious. wifi very good.

A lovely Haveli in the old town of Jodphur, run by a delightful family. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast and dinner was taken up on the roof terrace which had amazing views of the Fort.

There was nothing that I didn’t like but the surrounding area needed a tidy-up. We later found out it was due to the street cleaners being on strike.

We had a wonderful stay at Aura B&B Haveli! The building is beautiful and tastefully decorated — you can even feel the blue charm of the city inside. It truly feels like stepping into a scene from One Thousand and One Nights. This was honestly the most beautiful place we stayed during our month-long trip through India. It wasn’t just stunning, but also very cozy. From the rooftop terrace, you get a spectacular view. The host was incredibly kind and helpful — he even walked with us to the corner of the neighborhood’s small streets to make sure we found our way, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sights. La casa es muy acogedora, está muy limpia, decorada con mucho gusto, y es un placer relajarse en un lugar donde uno se siente cómodo y seguro. Para mí, lo mejor es la familia, cada uno de ellos tiene un corazón de oro. Todos han sido muy atentos, vinieron a recogerme a mi llegada sin que yo se lo pidiera, aceptaron mi registro de entrada anticipado, me ayudaron con las excursiones, me dejaron quedarme todo el día el día de salida, me llevaron a la parada de autobús a medianoche y podría seguir con mil detalles más. También debo mencionar que la comida es deliciosa. Les estoy muy agradecido y no tengo ninguna duda de que si alguien me pregunta por alojamiento en Jodhpur, recomendaré Aura B&B sin dudarlo.

We had a wonderful stay at Aura B&B, Prafful and his family were so welcoming and kind. Prafful was very helpful organising transport and providing recommendations for us. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the rooftop was lovely. We had great breakfast there both mornings.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful historic homestay. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the home-cooked food was absolutely delicious. Everything was clean and well maintained, including the bathroom and living area. The location is very central, perfect for sightseeing. Communication was easy, and our transfer was organized smoothly. We truly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this place!

The only small downsides were that the room had no windows and the cleaning chemicals in the bathroom smelled quite strong — though this seems quite common in India.

Es un lugar muy acogedor y agradable. Super bonito y unas vistas espectaculares al fuerte desde la azotea. La familia que lleva el negocio es muy amable y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites. El desayuno estaba muy bueno.

La habitación no tiene un buen aislamiento acústico, por lo que se puede escuchar a la familia (hablando, riendo, jugando) u otros huéspedes haciendo vida en el patio.

Os proprietários são atenciosos e proativos, sempre preocupados com o bem estar dos hospedes. Fornecem uma experiencia gastronómica indiana no café da manhã e na janta. A decoração da hospedagem é maravilhosa, completamente indiana. Fornecem orientações e sugestões aos hospedes. Quarto, cama, banheiro, ar condicionado, toalhas, impecáveis.

A acomodação é excelente, indicamos aos brasileiros. Somente a rua da hospedagem que é bem suja, mas isso é toda cidade.

I had a very nice staying at Aura. Rooms are clean, there is air conditioning, shower and they also give you towels and a welcoming set. Everybody in the family is really kind, they made me feel comfortable and they helped me for whatever I needed. I had breakfast and dinner once and the food was delicious!

Il soggiorno è stato perfetto, l'accoglienza fantastica, il proprietario ci ha aiutato con gli spostamenti e si è premurato che tutto stesse andando bene! La camera è grande e pulita, colazione preparata in casa molto buona! Bella terrazza con vista sul forte. Il B&B in trova tra vicoli stretti, ma una volta capita la strada è facile e sicuro tornare (siamo ritornate anche la sera con il buio, due donne). È stato invece molto utile il primo arrivo tramite tuktuk organizzato dal proprietario

Truly the nicest home stay we have ever stayed in! The lovely family that own the home went above and beyond to look after us, including booking travel, tuk tuks and cooking us incredible meals for breakfast and dinner. The room was beautiful and spacious with amazing AC. There’s a lovely common area to use and a rooftop too. Everything was clean and well looked after. We couldn’t believe how amazing this place was compared to the price, truly the best value for money and we would stay here over and over again if we could.

Prafful and his family are super helpful and will help you in any way possible, making it easy to enjoy your stay. The hotel is centrally located, but from inside it's a real oasis of peace. 100% recommended.

It's a bit difficult to navigate the alleyways to get there, this is more of a Google Maps issue and the owmers have no fault. They actually help you from the very beginning to familiarise yourself with the surrounding area, so this is really just a minor inconvenience :)

Our favourite Haveli in Rajasthan. Prafful and family so friendly and welcoming. Happy to spend time giving lots of tips on where to go etc. Prafful also organised tuk tuk to meet us from Udaipur bus which helped getting to property the first time. Otherwise, it’s well signposted and just a short walk to the clock tower. We had breakfast and also one dinner at the B&B. Enjoyed watching kites from the roof terrace. Rooms are authentic and full of character.

The place very much is a homestay and feels incredibly cozy and personal. The host and his family are exceptionally warm people and helped me with organizing anything I wanted to do in Jodhpur. Room was clean and comfortable.

This is actually one of the best stays in India so far. The Homestay looks amazing, rooms included. The beds are comfy en the roof top has great view over the city. But the family of the home stay made it one of the best places. So very very kind, without expecting something in return. Breakfast & dinner there is very good, big home cooked dinners. Old town is within 10 minutes.

The hotel is beautiful and very well-maintained. Everything is super clean and detailed. The entire family who runs the hotel was charming. They gave me information about the city and were very attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. One evening, they even made dinner for me – delicious Indian food at a great price.
