This place is fantastic. View, surrounds, staff and food were all fantastic. So incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Go for a walk at night to see the fireflies.

Building works next door but to be expected and didn't go on all day

The location is a little out of the way, but this is what creates the charm of staying here. Very peaceful. The staff were very accomodating with my wife’s seafood allergy and always had incredible food to eat.

Wonderful service, the staff were so kind and accommodating. When we got back from a sweaty bike ride we were given bottles of cold water. Very thoughtful. The place is way out in the sticks which is part of the charm.

Great place for a quiet few days. Right in the middle of nowhere, with just a few places around to eat (10 to 20 mins walking). Great swimming pool with the limestones just above your head. Free bicycles to loose yourself around the place.

We enjoyed the free bikes and explored the nearby Hoa Lu Ancient Capital & surroundings. The location of the hotel is great for its view of the limestone hills. The room was comfortable & so were the beds. The hosts were polite & friendly.

We arrived here after a long & horrible bus ride and when we saw the construction site next door we were a bit disappointed. We're very aware that there is not much the hotel can do about it, but we were looking for a relaxing pool stay and this kind of ruined those plans. The hosts were very understanding & let us change our initial four nights to one. Which we really appreciated. The bathroom was not very clean and a bit worn down

Away from the centre and so peaceful. Great setting, lovely pool, massive rooms. Super friendly staff and good food. Perfect for chilled time.

The location was perfect for us. Really quiet and far from all the noise of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. At the end of the day it was lovely to come back here. We cycled everywhere but you could of course take Grabs or rent a scooter to get around. You do need to be aware that this hotel is not anywhere near all the bars and restaurants etc of either town, it is way out in the sticks, but that is what we loved about it. There were a few food options nearby but the hotel food is good and we ate there most nights. The staff are particularly lovely. Always smiling and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable.

The bathroom is very spacious with lots of wall space so why is the towel rail above the toilet? This is not the only hotel where we've come across this, but it's not very hygienic.

La vue sur les karsts était super

Malheureusement, il y a quelques bâtiments en construction à côté alors c’était très bruyant durant le jour. Nous souhaitions nous poser et passer un moment calme à cette auberge mais nous avons dû partir durant le jour pour fuir le bruit. Ce n’est pas la faute de l’auberge, mais c’est pertinent que les clients le sache car cela risque de continuer au moins plusieurs mois encore en 2026.

Beautiful spacious apartments, free bike rental outside the season, laundry service, billiards, swimming pool, amazing views of the surroundings, delicious breakfast.

In the first room, the air conditioning and hot water didn't work, when I asked for another room so that we could have heat (we were out of season), I was told that it's cold in Vietnam and that the air conditioning never heats up. Our friends were in the second room, but everything worked for them. After a while, we got another room where everything worked.

The property is lovely and so is Mike, he helped us with everything during our stay there over the national day holidays. There were heavy rains prior to our arrival which affected the lake view area and the road to the resort but otherwise everything was perfect.

Le cadre au milieu de la nature, c'est très calme, peu de passage. L' hôtel n'est pas dans le village mais facilement accessible avec Grab. Chambre spacieuse et propre autour de la piscine. Possibilité de dîner sur place. Location de scooter et organisation d'excursions sur place. Staff agréable

Location, clean rooms

Almost everything. We arrived around 3pm after a severe rain. We were asked for the dinner to tell before 7:30pm if we would take it at the hotel. We thought we would eat outside, but my friend started to feel unwell. She got very sick so we decided to return to the hotel to eat. Our phones were dead and a massive storm stroke, so we got lost to return to the hotel. It is difficult to find, especially in a drowning rain in the night. We made it at 7:15pm At our disapointment the receptionist told us "it's too late, it is 7:30pm already, you can eat the soup in your room". Time on my watch was 7:17. I didn't want to eat the soup that would have been charged so we went to a close hotel to eat. We were soaked and cold at this point. We barely slept the night, my friend got terribly ill during the night. The room has a permanent light on the ceiling that you can't turn off, not helping. Room got very very moist with our clothes and didn't get dry at all unfortunately. In the morning, i woke up at 9:50am and went for "breakfast". I was told it was bread and quote "would you like jam OR eggs with the bread?". Chose the jam and I got 2 slices of bread and a small portion of jam in a plate. No fruit, no juice, no eggs. I asked for tea but the answer was I could take it in my room. I could but my friend was sick as I told them, so she was sleeping. Anyway the breakfast is just a scam here. Maybe it was too late, I don't know because I was never told the breakfast hour (the receptionist was on his phone all the time). Also to mention there were 10 bungalows and we were the only customers in the place. My friend was so ill we couldn't go back to hanoi, so I told them we would stay one more night. Around 3pm (we stayed all this time in the room) we went to get water and banana and my friend wanted to see if she could handle the trip back to hanoi.

wir hatten ein Double Bed Zimmer gebucht und haben (ich glaube das einzige) alte Zimmer erhalten - ich glaube alle anderen wurden renoviert aber unser Zimmer war schon recht alt und schmutzig, die Klima war sehr grausig und es hat etwas gestunken

Nos gusto mucho la ubicación, el entorno es espectacular y nos dieron la habitación antes de tiempo. El trato recibido por parte del que dirige al personal no siempre fue adecuada. Una vez pagada la habitación entró en la habitación sin pedir permiso y nos reclamó una comida que ya habíamos pagado, se disculpó, pero no fue correcto. Lo demás genial, piscina y la comida correcta, desayuno escaso.

Beautiful pool area nestled in the mountains. Quite far out of the main area with very bump roads to access the place, it this was not an issue for us (but could be for some).

No food allowed in the rooms which was inconvenient. Outdoor decked area with walkways out to the lotus ponds were nothing like the pictures - really run down and no way you’d be able to walk on them which was disappointing. Food was not great and very boring menu.

Amazing place in the middle of nature surrounded by the looming karst mountains. So beautiful! And the rooms are lovely and comfortable, and the pool is nice! The staff were all great but Chuc was especially amazing. Note you are on basically a dirt road but it is easy to call Grabs to get to other places in the area.

The tranquil & peaceful setting. Small homestay, not too many rooms. Responsive staff who did their best to understand what we asked. We ate a dinner & lunch there which was most enjoyable. They arranged for a lady to come on her bicycle to take our laundry. Excellent service. Would highly recommend this place.

No security safe deposit box in room.

The scenery around the resort is just beautiful, enjoyed the pool table and swimming in the pool. Trang A landscape complex for a boat ride is biking distance which was fun to do as a family activity. 2 nights stay was enough for us.

15mn by grab from the old town of Hoa Lu (100k) and (145k Tam Coc) one way.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! The room was spacious, newly renovated (just 6 months old), and tastefully decorated with a modern yet cozy feel. Although the hotel is located in Trang An, a more remote part of Ninh Binh, we absolutely loved the peaceful surroundings. We are right in the heart of nature, with stunning views of limestone karsts, lotus ponds, and paddy fields — a serene escape from the crowds. Getting around was easy — we used Grab to visit all the main attractions like Tam Coc, Hoa Lu, and Mua Cave. A special mention must go to Chuc, the hotel manager. She was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay — from helping us plan our itinerary to arranging transport. We truly appreciated her warm and thoughtful service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Ninh Binh with excellent service!

We absolutely love the location in the surrounding scenery. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting, and the food was delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but in a lovely quiet area and honestly, we couldn’t have been happier. It was only a five minute scooter ride from some of the main attractions of Ninh Binh I couldn’t recommend this place more

Probably the area where the viewpoint is could be better maintained like the tables and chairs. Even the platform was kind of unstable like it was gonna give way.

The room was really worth the price. There are 2 queen size beds and a bath bathtub in the room. It just amazing.

There are no fridge and no TV in the room, but it isn't a big deal.

This is a great location if you want to get immersed in the beauty of Ninh Binh. The staff are so helpful and there is really cheap moped and bike hire for exploring the area.

Reception and staff alike were extremely friendly and accommodating. Although the weather was overcast and often wet, there was plenty to do in the area. Bicycles and motorbikes are available, but if you don't mind walking, we found it to be convenient and easy to get around the area and probably noticed more detail than we would have on two wheels. And take note, For You Ninh Binh Boutique does not take credit cards for final payment at check out. We were aware of this and it did not present a problem for us. English spoken here. Breakfast options are limited to four choices. There is an old pomelo tree in the courtyard that has fragent-scented blossoms.

To be very honest I would find it difficult to be positive about the hotel/location. The staff were friendly, but the images on the bookings.com web site are a tad mis leading.

The rooms, cold, damp and the mattress was like sleeping on concrete. The beds were very low! We booked 3 nights and left after one!

The view is nice but not worth it, stay in Tam Coc and rent bicycles. They booked us a taxi and a tour which were both good, unlike the homestay.

They insist on keeping your passport, this is the first time in months of travelling I have found this and was very uncomfortable. This homestay is just far too expensive, I have been backpacking for months and thought this would be a little bit of comfort. The room was simple, the beds were extremely hard, even for Southeast Asia, the light kept changing colour every minute which was extremely irritating. The food was absolutely appalling, most of the menu wasn't available so we ordered what was. A "Tofu hotpot" was some warm water with tofu and spinach floating in it and a pizza which had some ketchup and a bit of cheese on it. The breakfast menu also wasn't actually available and we had two options to choose from, we chose toast which was stale, and bananas which never came. The wifi was also extremely weak and there was no reception there. Save your money, go to Tam Coc and stay somewhere better for half the price.

Everything. The rooms are perfect, the bathroom is superb, the staff are super sweet, the location is breathtaking and the staff organise everything you need.

We loved staying here. The most beautiful location and friendly and attentive staff. It is a bit far out, but that made it more peaceful. Very clean and comfortable. Most wonderful view of the sunset too!

The bedroom was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The outside area had a nice pool and lounge. The lady that received us was always so very nice to us what made the stay more pleasant. Also the surroundings were very peaceful and We very much enjoyed the Area. They had motorbikes to rent for 150k/day which was very good price

The breakfast could improve a lot. Only western option was toast with fried eggs and salad, which wasnt the best. We were hungry not much time after breakfast and you also didnt have water/coffee/juice/yes for self serving was its normal in most places. Another low point was the hot water which didnt last much long. Another thing was that even though the location was beautiful you had to rent a bike to move places because it was very isolated. There were taxis and Grab but quite expensive compared with what we payed in other places. You could also rent a bike but i dont advise because of the distancie between places and you would get very tired.

Good location for views, so therefore off the beaten track. Have push bikes for you to use for free. Staff very friendly and want to make your stay enjoyable.

Whole place was run down. Not as appears in photos. Rooms smelt damp and musty - not enough ventilation. Not comfortable to sit around pool - no shade apart from one umbrella on last day. No sun loungers. Board walk and terrace you see in pictures rotten, collapsed in parts. Have issue with electricity going off unlike places nearby. Food overpriced and just not very good when comparing to other local places. Instant noodles and just cabbage for stir fry noodles and vegetables. A drink not included in free breakfast … not even water or a cup of tea. Ate at and used next doors pool. SUP’s and kayaks shown in photos/description no longer available.

Perfect location but you need to get a motorbike to move around the area

The lady who worked on reception was delightful. She really went out of her way to help and was disappointed that we left early.

Unfortunately it looked nothing like the photos. It may once have looked like that but it's now totally run down. The pool was filthy and the day we left we were told not to go in the pool as it was being cleaned for the day. So many things are broken, the tiles on the floor around the pool and smashed and sharp loose pieces sticking up, the hotel sign has missing letters, the area where you can sit has broken chairs thrown in the water, the bamboo walk ways which look so nice in the photos have all sunk into the water. It was a disaster. We had initially booked for 3 nights but after 1 night we moved down to another homestay which was much nicer. All the green flooring that looks great has either been ripped up or has now turned black as well - there are so many issues here that I can't believe that people are writing great things. It's such a shame as it probably was once, a great place but it looks like people can't be bothered to maintain it anymore. We spotted a snake slithering around which is always fun but there was a huge dead, dried up frog in the middle of the floor, so it just goes to show that it wasn't regularly cleaned. The location is really nice but you need a moped to get around otherwise you will be very isolated. Personally I think Vietnam offers the best valued accomodation in the world and this is probably the first time I have stayed somewhere in my 25 years of coming to Vietnam where I have been so disappointed

I loved my stay at this hostel. the view was beautiful, the pool was great and it was nice to have breakfast. the room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. They were great days of rest in nature. They rent motorbikes and give tour tips and make bus reservations.

The view was fabulous and the pool was welcomed. The area by the water was a bit rickety and broken but we enjoyed meeting other guests there.

Our bathroom in the bungalow needed a really good clean. The electrics were exposed. The food was ok and the staff were ok…. They didn’t seem too happy, unfortunately! Bikes were old.

Overall our stay was very nice and the surroundings were amazing. Rooms were nice and clean, pool was also nice. Staff was kind and helpful. You could eat in restaurant inside the homestay area and the food was good. You can also rent a bike or a motorcycle for 120 000 Dong per day.

There was no hot water in the shower, plus the shower head was broken and the water was splashing in multiple directions.

Staff were great and remember your name and even small variations in food orders from the second you arrive. Such a peaceful part of the world

sad breakfast and staff that pay little attention to the customer. greasy tables, the girl in the afternoon is good and welcoming, the one in the morning seems pissed off at the world. The possibility of renting scooters is nice but if I went back I would choose another structure. almost no one speaks English
