Abinu"s Place

Очень приятные хозяева, нас встретили в аэропорту в 3 часа ночи и когда мы приехали в Хирикитию в 6 утра нас сразу поселили, что было очень ценно после долгого перелета. Был момент когда у меня неожиданно проявилась моя аллергия, хозяйка отложила все свои дела и поехала в аптеку за лекарством. Отель расположен близко к пляжам, а так же к супермаркету. Очень рекомендую этот отель, мы обязательно туда вернёмся.

Location, clean room

The kitchen: dirty, burnt pots. The frying pan seems to be only for decoration — it doesn’t work on the induction hob. The upstairs terrace is nice, but it is completely covered with laundry. The house is right next to the road, so it is noisy.

Gute Lage in Zentrum und man kann ein Zimmer mit AC buchen.

Das Personal spricht praktisch kein Englisch, wodurch die Kommunikation sehr schwer ist. Es ist allgemein ziemlich dreckig, vorallem das Bad und die Küche. Die Küche ist furchtbar wenn man was kochen möchte, es gibt kaum das Nötigste. Das Wlan funktioniert fast gar nicht.

This property was perfect for us. It’s very affordable, the room was comfortable, tidy, clean as well as the bathroom. The house is perfectly located between Hiriketiya beach and Dickwella beach, and all the restaurants and cafes. The room having AC and a Fan was great. We ordered breakfast when we were there and it was incredible, a great start to the day. They also have a laundry service and we could rent a bike through them too which was so convenient. The owner even made me soup when I was sick. There is a simple kitchen with fridge you can use too. Overall would definitely recommend.

Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Aardige mensen. AC werkt goed en goede locatie. Ruime kamer en leuke plekjes om te zitten buiten.

Gordijnen laten al het licht door, zouden vervangen kunnen worden voor een betere nachtrust :)

Logement central entre Hiriketiya et Dickwella permettant de tout faire à pied. Personnel aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuné était super et en quantité. Je recommande ce logement à 100% !

De locatie was top! Je was overal heel dichtbij en op loopafstand. De eigenaren waren erg aardig.

Het bed lag echt helemaal niet lekker. Je kon de veren voelen en horen springen, en het bed was heel erg hard. Als één van ons zich bewoog in het bed, voelde de ander dat heel erg goed. Hierdoor hebben we onze nachten hier echt heel slecht geslapen. Verder was het een prima plek voor de prijs!

Great location for exploring the local area and beaches. The room was spacious and had its own kitchenette. It was fine for our 2 night stay.

We felt the bathroom could have been cleaner. The mosquito net had holes in so we were woken in the night by bugs.

The staff was very welcoming. And our room was ready at arrival! We could also leave our luggage at checkout for the day

Ants in the room. Got into my food and had to throw them out.

Schlafsaal war sauber. Lage zentral zwischen beiden Stränden. Gemütliche Aufenthatsmöglichkeiten im Hostel. Personal nett.

Mülleimer in den Badezimmern für die Schlafsäle waren offen und der Inhalt lag regelmäßig auf dem Boden verteilt, da diese umgekippt sind. Das war ekelig.

Lage in Strandnähe, eigenes Bungalow, kleiner Kochbereich Gute Betten mit Moskitonetzen Terrasse mit Wäscheleine

Sauberkeit: Küchenutensilien und Badezimmer (Dusche, Waschbecken, Toilette) waren nicht sauber. Leicht gammliger Geruch in der Küche. Immer wieder kamen schwarze Stücken aus allen Anschlüssen. Durch die undichten Fenster und Türen kam wiederholt Ungeziefer herein. Das Personal lief mehrfach vor der Glasfront des Bungalows vorbei, was die Privatsphäre einschränkte. Personal sprach fast kein Englisch.

Amazing central location, staff were really lovely and the dorms were clean and had good air conditioning. The rooftop was lovely to hang out on too. Thank you so much :)

We loved our stay here! We stayed in both the deluxe room and the family apartment and both were super big and comfortable! Location was also amazing, 10 min walk max to Hiri beach, Dickwella beach and many popular restaurants nearby. Our host was also super kind, she offered us Kunji when we had food poisoning from somewhere else, and made sure we were okay which we appreciated alot. Highly recommend!

In cucina non ci sono stoviglie, il proprietario non si vede mai (il che può essere un bene, non so) e tutte le volte che ho lasciato il pane (ben chiuso) in cucina è stato divorato dalle formiche, quindi a meno che non sia in frigo non si può conservare cibo

Beautiful place, very easy to get in and out of if you are leaving early or coming in late. It felt like a treehouse with an amazing balcony! And a full functional kitchen for anyone to use.

In questa struttura ci si sente facilmente a casa. Molto belle le arre comuni. Possibilità di stendere i panni. Presenza di un ventilatore per ogni letto. Personale cortese. Posizione perfetta , tra la spiaggia e la fermata degli autobus.

We had a wonderful stay at Abinu’s place in the 2 bed villa. Great location, fantastic facilities in the villa (kitchen and fridge, good A/C, hammock), and a relaxing time!

The family room on the ground floor is terrible. We had roaches in the bathroom, the staff was not friendly at all - when we came no one showed us around so we had no idea there were other facilities on the top floor. Yoga every morning at 7am wakes you up (the yoga teacher one morning made a girl cry so their loud argument woke me up, other days it was just the yoga class directly in front of the window).

The property had a spacious, comfortable room with a lovely private bathroom. The bed was very clean and so easy to sleep in. There was a great balcony too. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The property was a great distance from Dickwella Beach.

Everything is clean and tidy, good communication with the hosts

We stayed there for 3 nights. Good situated between the beaches (We actually preferred Dickwella Beach and thus is was just perfect). Restaurants are close by (no breakfast is offered anymore). There is a swing out front that our kid loved. The room was very clean and the mosquito nets were good.

We stayed at the ground floor and since there were always people around in the lobby, it sometimes had a weird vibe. I would have preferred staying in the upper floor. We also did not know, who is actually in charge of the property.

It’s a good place to stay a short walk from the beach and restaurants. The beds were pretty comfortable and I found the fan to be enough to keep cool at night and didn’t want AC. There is only cold water showers and that was fine until it rained and I got really cold - it would have been nice to have the option of a hot shower. The staff are nice and really helpful - I asked a lot of questions about transport via WhatsApp and the owner responded quickly!

Our stay was very pleasant! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area. Everything worked out smoothly, and the host was very communicative and available whenever we needed assistance or had questions. We would definitely recommend this place!

Nice location and lovely stay

We had a great stay at Abinu's Place! We were able to check in early, the room was spacious and facilities were great. The location is great, walking distance from both beaches in the area and close to lots of cafe and restaurants options. We were also able to park our Tuk Tuk rental on the driveway

It was a really great stay.

There is nothing bad in this place, everything is beautiful. Yet, I always have questions when traveling. If we return to the same places, who will bring back the friends? This is the hardest part of traveling—you meet wonderful people in beautiful places, share amazing moments together, and then part ways without return. If you go back, you’ll find the same places but not the same people. Everyone goes back to their homeland or moves elsewhere. I have left pieces of myself in many places, never to return. It is truly heartbreaking.

The room is a bit small for 6 beds. The room did not lock. There was not a very social atmosfeer, but everyone was very friendly.

One of the best hostels I stayed at. I wish I booked for longer, because it was so nice. The top floor rooms allowed for a breezy and nice view. Super peaceful and welcoming staff. Would definitely come back.

The accommodation overall feels very nice and clean, and the staff is super friendly. The location is perfect in terms of distance to both beaches (Dickwella and Hiriketiya). The breakfast, which can be purchased on-site, was excellent – probably the best breakfast we had at any accommodation in Sri Lanka. We were served dhal, rotti, pancakes, and fresh fruit.

I had asked in advance about the internet speed because I needed to handle an important work call, and I was told the internet speed was 50 mb/s. This was incorrect – it was 5–9 mb/s on all the Wi-Fi networks I tried at the accommodation. Normally, I wouldn’t consider this a negative, as I don’t usually care much about Wi-Fi, but in this case, I specifically asked beforehand. I ended up buying super expensive daily internet pass in nearby cowork. I don’t know if we were just unlucky, but both nights there was extremely loud barking from dogs, and I didn’t get any sleep at all. I understand this isn’t the accommodation’s fault, but if I were to choose a location again, I’d probably pick somewhere else because of that. Also, the toilet didn’t flush.
