La struttura è pulita e molto ben tenuta e si trova in una posizione molto comoda, sia per raggiungere i ristoranti che per fare escursioni. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! Consigliato!

El trabajador (Norman) es un cielo. Nos ayudó con todas las excursiones, nos recomendó sitios para comer. Tenía desayuno delicioso. Muy atento y amable. Todo limpio y pone a tu disposición todo tipo de detalles, incluso paraguas por si llueve. Increíble.

From the moment we arrived, Norman was so lovely and welcoming - we felt right at home. The location is fantastic for exploring Tanah Rata (trails) and doing any Cameron highlands day tours. The facilities were always clean and well stocked, and the free breakfast each morning was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a fantastic stay, tips & advice Norman!

The best place to stay and one of the best we have stayed in during our travels. It has everything you’d need and Norman is a great host. When you get there he shows you around and tells you about walking routes near by.

Location is good. Worth for money. And Norman is top notch in making sure that guests are comfortable by providing basic needs. He also provides free breakfast and unlimited coffee and tea 👍

The host Norman is probably the nicest person we have met on our entire travels. He is so helpful and full of useful information for a trip in Cameron Highlands. He also loves travelling himself so you can have a great conversation with him about that. The place is spotless, the rooms are nice while not being fancy, the location is perfect. Couldn't fault this place.

We loved staying at the Rustique! The location is perfect, close to town but tucked away. Norman, the owner, is one of the friendliest, kindest, and most helpful hosts we’ve encountered. The shared bathrooms were always spotless and available. The rooms are very basic, but good value for money, and we appreciated the coffee, tea, drinking water, and breakfast toast :)

Noise travels quickly between rooms and throughout the property but that can’t be helped!

Everything! Norman is charming, incredibly kind, and very attentive. You can tell that his top priority is his guests’ well-being, as he takes care of every little detail. For example, breakfast is available every morning at 7:00 a.m. We 100% recommend staying here! The value for money is outstanding.

El dueño es un amor, pone a tu disposición hasta paraguas. Buena localización, hasta cerca de un bar, pero a las 12h paran la música y el dueño te da tapones si quieres. Desayuno simple pero muy correcto.

Norman est un super hôte , donne pleins de conseils . Les parties communes sont propres . La chambre est propre / simple pas de chichi . Tout est dit dans l’intitulé de l’hôtel “rustique” mais très sympa pour un séjour dans les Cameron à prix doux 🤗. Nous y étions 4 nuits . Les cloisons sont très fines mais nous n’avons pas entendu le bar à côté. Allez y c’est sympa et Norman adorable ( en prime vous avez un pti dej simple mais il a le mérite d’être offert )

Le matelas est un peu rustique 😅 mais ça passe.

Location was perfect, room was simple but exactly what we needed. Wifi worked well and shared bathrooms were always spotless. The best part is the host Norman who is so welcoming and friendly :) thank you for having us!

One small thing is the pillows are quite flat so not the most comfortable but it was okay for us.

Great location- close to everything but away from the Main Street. Norman is so lovely and helpful. Always around to answer questions and makes the place feel very welcoming. He gave us good advice on our hikes and told us where to go for sunrise- much more helpful than what we read online. Breakfast was simple but nice. The rooms are clean. Showers are hot and never had to wait to use shower or toilet. Good space to sit outside and Norman was normally around to greet you and ask about your day. There was a way of washing and drying our clothes after our walks and filtered water and tea and coffee. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Nothing! The place was great. I guess the only downfall was sound travels quite easily as the place is made of wood and there is a hostel nearby with a bar but never seemed a massive issue and Norman provided ear plugs anyway. We were never woken up or kept up late by noise.

Le propriétaire est extrêmement accueillant. La proximité des commerces est un vrai atout : nous avons pu tout faire à pied, y compris les allers-retours vers la station de bus.

Le petit point négatif, c’est que les fenêtres ne se ferment pas complètement. Comme il a plu le premier soir et que je suis plutôt frileuse, j’ai eu un peu froid.

Only a short 700m walk from the bus station. Very comfortable facilities with everything you can possibly need (umbrella, house slippers, shower slippers, towel, bug repellent, hair dryer, ear plugs). There is also a small kitchen you can use, and the simple breakfast is excellent for a small morning bite. Norman is one of the best hosts I’ve ever had, he helped me book a tour with a great company. I couldn’t be more pleased with my stay!

Good location, small shops nearby and restaurants. Jungle bar nearby is social and has a pool table. Staff extremely lovely and helpful. Coffee/tea and Toast and cereal in the morning was a nice touch.

Une superbe petite guest house tenu par Norman. Confort minimalisme mais avec l’essentiel, dont un petit déjeuner et un réfrigérateur partagé. Point fort les espace communs sont propres Norman sait vous accueillir, il est à votre écoute, il donne des conseils sur la région et les randonnées.

The host Norman was helpful and kind. The facilities are as described. With a light breakfast of toast and a box of cereal. Ear plugs are provided as it’s not well soundproofed.

The bed was hard and air felt stale in the room even with windows open.

This place is a gem. The host is very nice and has created a charming and peaceful atmosphere that is only a couple minutes from the center of town, but feels like a quiet residential oasis. The building is basic, but in good condition and immaculately clean. A simple free breakfast of corn flakes, toast and butter or jam, and tea and coffee. The wifi worked well.

There is a loud bar nearby, but Norman provides earplugs and it wasn't an issue for me.

We throughly enjoyed our short Stay at the guest house. Norman is a great guy, very friendly and has a genuine passion for what he does. Der Host hat wirklich an alles gedacht und alles aus diesem Haus rausgeholt! Die Duschen und WCs sind ausreichend und man fühlt sich wohl. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe und es gibt alle möglichen Infos zur Umgebung und sogar ein kleines Frühstück on top! Es war ein super Aufenthalt, kann ich nur weiter empfehlen! Auch nur 10 min zu Fuß vom zentralen Busbahnhof :)

The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The facilities were AMAZING!!! The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, plates/bowls/cups/cutlery, toaster and microwave for guests to use. Tea and coffee is provided complimentary. Norman greeted us when we arrived and was extremely knowledgeable about the activities to do in the area he even had a map with all of the walking/hiking trails. The toilets and showers were outside but always kept very clean and there was even shampoo and body wash provided. Overall, the perfect stay and amazing value for money!!!!

Norman is an outstanding host - we found this was a really special, comfortable stay in an excellent location. The accommodation is somehow both no frills and incredibly comfortable with lots of very thoughtful extra details (earplugs, flip flops, light breakfast, a calm social space with games, discount at a local coffee place, and lots of information and advice re local tourism, hiking, and so on). We also booked a tour recommended by Norman which we absolutely loved. It’s nearby a busy backpackers bar which is fun to visit - it can be noisy into the evening but stopped around midnight (and the earplugs really help mitigate any disruption!). We’d recommend The Rustique to everyone and only hope one day we can come back!

Le propriétaire est vraiment gentil et chaleureux ! Il prend au sérieux ses invités. L’établissement est convivial. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais très sympa, c’est très agréable !

Il n’y a pas vraiment d’insonorisation, on entend tout ! Le lit est un peu vieux et grince beaucoup.

A lovely, cozy and peaceful stay. Despite the nearby bar, we slept soundly every night! The hot shower was perfect — stable water pressure and temperature made each shower pure bliss, even with the bathroom set a little apart from the rooms.

Für den Preis ein Mega Gasthaus. Der Host ist einer der nettesten und hilfsbereitesten Menschen auf meiner kompletten, zwei monatigen Reise. Man muss wissen, dass der Name auch Programm ist, es ist sehr rustikal. Aber das wird durch die Lage, den Preis und den Host locker ausgeglichen. Er ist mit Herz und Seele dabei. Außerdem ist alles sehr sauber!

Had such a lovely stay here! Norman is the kindest sweetest man, he really makes you immediately feel relaxed and at home. He gave us such helpful recommendations for CH and the rest of our travels. Also- the tours Norman recommends are the cheapest I could find anywhere and were fab! The rustique guesthouse has literally everything you could need- umbrellas, earplugs, hairdryers, prayer mats literally everything. Breakfast of cereal and toast was perfect and teas and coffees are there to help yourself to at anytime. The guesthouse is lovely and clean. Shared toilets and showers and nice and spacious so your stuff doesn’t get wet. They’re cleaned often and showers are lovely and hot! Location is great- easy walking distance to restaurants yet set back enough to feel like a peaceful retreat!

It’s a very nice place. Norman is just an amazing host. He provide us many advices and tips. Always smiling, it’s very nice to speak with him. You can go to the bar just in front of the house, and also rent some motorbike

If you’re seeking for a big complexe with swimming pool, you’re not in the good place. But if you’re searching for a place local, quiet, nice and at a human size you should book it. That’s not a five star fancy hostel, that just a simple local house. We really enjoy our stay and the quiet place it was

Me gustó tanto la sensación de sentirse como en casa, gracias a Norman, que no dudé en quedarme una noche más. A pesar de las lluvias, me ha encantado quedarme aquí, su limpieza, sus zonas comunes con té y café y su desayuno incluido. Es un sitio totalmente para descansar y disfrutar.

Norman ist ein super lieber und hilfsbereiter Host. Von Anfang an haben wir uns bei ihm sehr wohl gefühlt! Er hat uns viele Tipps für Wanderungen in der Nähe (und auch für ganz Südost-Asien) gegeben. Die Unterkunft ist rustikal und hat ein Camping-Gefühl ausgestrahlt. Es gab zudem kostenlos ein kleines Frühstück am Morgen!

The warm welcome of Norman made it feel like home when we arrived. His place is clean and got the things you need for a good stay. The way Norman helped us out with anything and the nice chats we had together can't give our stay less than 5 stars!

Norman è fantastico e ha estrema cura di ogni dettaglio. Ci siamo sentiti a casa e non manca niente, anche la colazione inclusa è ottima (pane tostato con margarina e marmellata + latte e cereali + the/caffe). La stanza è semplice ma pulita, con finestra, ciabatta multipresa, il diffusore antizanzare e uno stendino con tante grucce. Il letto è spazioso, alto e comodo. La struttura è sempre pulitissima e ha tantissimi comfort come microonde, tostapane, dispenser di acqua calda e fredda, frigo, sempre the e caffè a disposizione, ciabattine per andare nei bagni, ombrelli in caso di pioggia e tappi per le orecchie se si ha il sonno leggero (dall’altra parte della strada fino a mezzanotte c’è un locale con la musica). C’è anche una zona dove è possibile lavare i propri panni e stenderli (con sapone e spugnette a disposizione). La doccia ha un buon getto e acqua calda. C’è anche uno spazio comune all’aperto dove rilassarsi e usare i giochi da tavolo/carte messi a disposizione. Vicinissimo alla via principale piena di ristoranti e servizi. Davvero un posto eccezionale dove spero di tornare in futuro! Norman è estremamente gentile e accogliente e ci ha anche aiutati dandoci dei contatti per delle escursioni che volevamo fare. Lo consigliamo vivamente!

The location of Norman's guest house is just superb. Tucked away from the busy street of Tanah Rata, yet still so close to everything. Norman himself is an incredible host and does a great job at making you feel comfortable and welcome as his guest. He also helps with information about tours and hiking in the area, a local's knowledge is so helpful when you first arrive to a place. The house itself is a rustic guest house. It is exactly what it claims to be and that was perfect for my needs. The showers and toilets were outside the house, but very very clean. He offers filtered water in the kitchen as well which is a huge plus.

Norman est un hôte très accueillant et qui connaît bien le coin et le pays, il pourra bien vous conseiller. Très bon rapport qualité prix, il y a tout le nécessaire dans la chambre et les parties communes sont très propres. Il y a du café, thé et eau disponible toute la journée ainsi que des toasts pour le petit déjeuner. La Guesthouse est à quelques minutes à pied des restaurants et cafés.

Good place to stay in Cameron Highlands. It kind of feels like you’re camping in a cabin. The man who runs the guest house is really kind and gave us lots of information about what to do and hiking trails. The breakfast was toast and cereal which was great! Overall basic but nice and good location.

The bathrooms are outdoors which was a little annoying in the middle of the night (but fine). The walls are also super thin and you can hear everything in the guest house but he provided earplugs which was nice.

Norman, who runs the guesthouse, makes the stay very pleasant. The accommodation is basic, but clean and walking distance to local restaurants and the bus station. Norman offered to drive me to the bus station on the day I departed because it was raining.

There is a bar across the street that plays music till midnight, but I was able to sleep with earplugs.

La maison est très agréable malgré son caractère rustique, tout est propre et fait pour nous rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. La chambre que j’occupais était en très légère pente, je dois avouer que dormir sur un lit en petit peu en pente m’a perturbé mais rien de rédhibitoire

Le propriétaire est tellement gentil ! Il est super accueillant et n’hésite pas à vous demander si vous avez besoin de quelque chose. La chambre est spacieuse, grand lit pour moi seule et au calme. Les murs sont assez fins mais le propriétaire met à disposition des bouchons d’oreilles … et même un parapluie, des tongs, des sèches-cheveux. C’est super. Les toilettes et douches, malgré que ça se trouve à l’extérieur, sont grandes et propres et toujours disponibles! Il y a même de quoi déjeuner si besoin et un bar en face si vous souhaitez boire un verre :)

The acomodation is located a few minutes from the main road. It is in a quiet location, so there is no much noise or people walking by, but it is fast and easy to get to the shops and restaurants. In front there is a scooter rental facility, that is very useful to explore the Hills! The room was big and comfortable, with a comfy bed, a table with chair. The toilets and showers are outside, but are clean and come with soap and shampoo. There is a kitchen with a fridge where to keep personal food. The host is a lovely person, such a great guy! He offers coffe and tea all the day, and a simple breakfast with toasted bread, jam and butter. Amazing experience!

Norman est un hôte exemplaire. Sa Guest House est très agréable et très bien située.

La gentillesse de notre hôte Norman, la propreté, la localisation, le petit déjeuner à dispo. Les sanitaires et les douches sont à l’extérieur, un peu frais d’y aller mais c’est tout, le reste est très bien. Et Norman est de bon conseil sur les randonnées à faire aux alentours !

Tout ! Norman vous fait vous sentir comme chez vous. Ce logement est sans doute le + chaleureux et propre que nous ayons eu en voyage. Les commodités sont simples, mais vraiment agréables ! Nous aurions aimé y rester + longtemps. Le lit est un peu dur et les murs sont très fins mais Norman met à disposition des bouchons d’oreilles donc ce n’est plus un problème. Merci encore 🤍
