Miel (owner) and her husband were friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable place. Able to take my bike round to back of house for secure place.

No cooking facilities/ use of kitchen. But there was excellent fish and chip restaurant (with plenty of choice10 min walk away.

James and Mel are always great hosts. Highly recommend

Mel was friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was clean and tidy and comfortable. There was a very nice kitchen and dinning room that we could use.

The noise! Beneath the bedroom window there was noise until midnight with people talking and shouting and traffic going up and down the street. At 5.39am the street cleaner used a blower and vacuum on a noisy truck waking us up.

The people. Very nice, gracious people. Clean. Close to shops, eateries. The Orchard Bar just up the road s excellent for a nice meal & sport lovers. Large screens all around bar & outside eating area.

Always a pleasure to stay in Mels place. Centrally located and most shops within walking distance. Room impecibly clean. Also always a pleazure to talk to the host herself. Have stayed here several times and no doubt will stay there again.

Letterkenny was the perfect base from which to explore North West Donegal by bus, and my room at Mel's had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Mel and her husband James were the loveliest hosts and the whole property was kept impressively clean and tidy while I was there. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

No breakfast as part of stay but tea /coffee and snacks available as desired.

Difficult to find accommodation and we didn't realise breakfast was not included but owners were so lovely we really couldn't complain.

Mel est une personne très sympathique, la chambre était jolie et propre. Stationnement gratuit dans la rue de 18h a 8h.

Le bruit venant de la rue. Impossible de dormir sans les boules quies.

C’est une maison qui est très bien aménagé où on s’y sent bien. Très cosy et confortable. L’hôte était particulièrement gentille et serviable.

The place was clean and the host was very kind. It was well located and easy to access the bus station, grocery stores, etc.

There was a lot of noise from the street, but for the most part it didn’t bother me.

The room was very comfortable and the location was perfectly placed. We were able to go anywhere in town in walking distance. Mel was very friendly and made us feel at home.

As mentioned in other comments, the rooms facing the street are quite noisy. But it’s significantly quieter once the traffic is gone and pubs shut so it wasn’t a problem sleeping.

It was really cosy and welcoming. The room and the bathroom were spotless. Extra blankets were provided and there was a lovely kitchen area to make some breakfast. Will definitely return here to stay.

Mels accomodation is located in the center of the town not far from Donegal museum. The accomodation is very clean and tidy. The stuff is nice and helpful. Breakfast wasn't included as advertised.

1. The ad states there is on-site free parking bur this is not true. I also couldn't find this accomodation right away. My advice is to go straight to Donegal museum to get there. There is a nice big and cheep (1,50 Euro/day) car park there. 2. It was hard to sleep at night because the house is located on a busy street and the windows are very old with poor soundproofing.

Great cozy location in the city center. My room had a sink and the shared bathroom was across the hall but no issues. Lovely water pressure & temperature! I used the kitchen & dining room in the mornings (instant coffee & tea available) and was pleased with the secure private parking space. Mel is a delight, and I really felt at home.

The entrance is on a one-way street, so you have to be aware of where to park and how to unload, but it was no problem really.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the room comfortable. Mel kindly accommodated a late arrival and was helpful and welcoming. The location was excellent in relation to the town and it was great that you could help yourself to hot drinks.

We stayed on a Saturday night and it was a little noisy but Mel did explain this and it didn't bother us too much.

House was very clean. We were able to park opposite and walk to the gig we were attending. Coffee shop a short walk away in the morning.

Mel was a lovely host. She let me drop my backpack off before the check-in time. She was friendly, hospitable and kind. Comfy beds, great central location. Bright spacious room. This was my 2nd stay at Mel's and I would stay there again at any time.

The property was close to all amenities. The whole house was Spotless, spotless spotless, very comfortable and great value. Mel the host was very welcoming and made our stay just perfect. I would highly recommend this property.

No breakfast offered but I didn't want breakfast so that's fine. Tea & coffee facilities in shared kitchen downstairs, none in room. If you want a glass of water you would have to go downstairs for it also.

The mattress was too soft for my liking & the bed was somewhat creaky. The windows are not double glazed & the traffic is bad in that road not to mention the revellers spilling out of the bars in the town standing outside the property laughing, talking etc. I was woken at 3am & was unable to get back to sleep because of the noise & I was using ear plugs too. I prefer a quieter accommodation. Apparently it is quieter during the week. It is not clear by the advertising whether there is a toilet or bathroom in the room. In the room I occupied there was neither & I had to use the toilet/shower across the hall. Inconvenient if, like me, you like an ensuite or if you need to get up to use the toilet at night.

Everything was amazing and Mel's a great host. She is generous and a pleasure to share time with.

The only small negative side si that both rooms I used faced the main road in letterkenny, with noises of cars and people chatting all night long. Of course not Mel's fault though!

Great location, along the main area in Letterkenny. Close to shopping and restaurants. On street parking outside the property (paid during the day but free overnight). Welcoming host, effective communication and extensive information about the property and town.
