Lo mejor de todo es el anfitrión. Te va a buscar a cualquier hora al muelle en la otra orilla, te lleva, te abre la puerta de su casa, te da de comer. La atención es impresionante. Habitación básica con vistas impresionantes al Nilo, buen aire acondicionado, bañera sin mampara pero con cuidado no sale nada fuera. Todo muy muy limpio. Desayuno nubio, casero y rico. Tortilla de huevo, falafel, pan de pita, queso, tomate,mermelada… todo echo al momento. Repetiría sin ninguna duda

The owner is super friendly and helpful: for example, he helped us oganizing visits and transfers to the various attractions. Always smiling! Position is also amazing.

Il padrone di casa è di una ospitalità unica. Si comunica facilmente con lui tramite wathsapp. È venuto a prenderci sul molo di assuan alle 2.30 di notte, il giorno dopo ci ha fatto fare il tour dei villaggi nubiani, inoltre ci ha procurato una feluca per un giro al tramonto. Tutto ciò ci ha permesso di conoscere persone del posto, molto gentili e accoglienti. La sua guest house è semplice ma con camere ampie, pulite e molto comoda perché vicinissima al traghetto pubblico e al ristorante Giamaica cafe. Colazione tipica nubiana, ampi letti , comodità per lavare gli abiti. Awi è veramente una brava persona. Ciao Awi!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour chez Awi, il est tres gentil et toujours disponible pour nous faire traverser le Nil ou nous emmener en balade en bateau, nous avons adoré nous baigner sur les plages côté nubien! L'appartement est bien aménagé et agréable, la climatisation dans les 2 chambres est tres appréciable! Le petit déjeuner est bon et Awi nous a même préparé un petit dejeuner à emporter et nous a emmenés en bateau au point de rdv pour aller à Abou Simbel à 4h du matin! Il y a des restaurants et épiceries à côté. On fait tout à pied, c'est tres agréable et reposant d'être sur l'île et dans un village nubien tranquille! Nous recommandons sans hésiter!!

Magnifique hébergement, une vraie pause après le bruit de la ville, ne pas avoir peur des chèvres qui se baladent un peu partout, c'est tout le charme du lieu. Awi est très sympathique et extrêmement serviable. Le Petit déjeuner est excellent et le restaurant King Jamaica juste à côté propose de très bons repas à prix très accessibles..

Awi and his wife were most gracious. Awi met me personally at the ferry with his own boat. Awi was very informative and helped me decide which tours i would like take. The room was big and comfortable with all amenities provided.

The shower unfortunately fell from its housing whilst i was showering and left a big lump and bruise on my forehead

Très bien. Je recommande. Awi nous a très bien accueilli et nous a aidé pour les informations sur les visites ou sur les trajets. Il est très arrangeant. L'endroit est parfait et l'emplacement aussi.

Prendre le bateau privé du chef de l'établissement pour y acceder ajoute un vrai charme à l'experience! Nous avons adoré notre moment sur cette ile, calme et reposante, contrairement à partout ailleurs en egypte !

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est adorable. Le monsieur de l hôtel vient vous chercher avec son bateau à l embarquadere . L appartement est spacieux, très propre et les lits sont très confortables. Très calme, petite île loin de l agitation de la ville. Nous avons pu faire 2 h de promenade en felouque avec le fils du propriétaire au coucher du soleil et il nous a débarqués au jardin botanique puis récupéré ensuite pour continuer la balade. Il était lui aussi adorable et nous a offert le thé sur le bateau. Ce fut un moment magique et inoubliable.

Die Lage auf der Insel Elephantine ist super. Es ist dort sehr viel entspannter als in Assuan selbst. Die Fähre ist ca. 3 Minuten Fußweg entfernt und man kommt leicht hin und her. Auch unser Gastgeber hat uns schon mit seinem Boot übergesetzt. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Nil, gefrühstückt wurde auf der Terrasse am Nil - richtig schön. Dort kann man auch tagsüber gut entspannen und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Ein guter Startpunkt für die Erkundung von Elephantine und Assuan. Richtig schön! Unser Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, er organisierte unsere Mitfahrt in einem Kleinbus zu den Tempeln von Abu Simbel, fuhr uns mitten in der Nacht mit dem Boot zum Abholort und gab uns auch noch Frühstück mit! Vielen Dank dafür! Unser Zimmer war groß und geräumig und mit schönem Blick auf den Nil und Assuan.

De ligging, fijn op een autoloos eiland tegenover de drukte van de stad Aswan. Vanaf het pension heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op de Nijl, de bootjes en Aswan.

Alles was in orde.

You can’t beat the location and Awi is the sweetest man. He was not only waiting to take us across to the island on his boat when we arrived around midnight, but he also arranged a driver to tour us around, a felucca ride around the island with his awesome nephews and a private shuttle to take us on to Luxor with stops along the way. The deck right on the Nile is the perfect chill spot. If you are looking for a quaint rustic getaway, you won’t find better value. It’s certainly not fancy, but it is comfortable and relaxing. Just what we needed after a few days in crazy Cairo.

Not a huge fan of wet bathrooms, but you get over that pretty quickly.

Mr Awi is a SUPER nice and accommodating host, he went out of his way waiting for us even we checked in very late due to Airport delays-- despite the long waiting hours, he had a taxi driver picked us up at the airport then he picked us up at the KFC which we hopped into a boat, what a refreshing signt to be in Elephantine Island. We had a great Nubian breakfast, spacious traditional room and a lovely sight because its facing the Nile River. Mr Awi is a great conversationalist and helped me a lot claim back my luggage the following day even carried it to be loaded to the Cruise. He is all around wonderful host, Highly recommended. We couldnt thank you enough Mr Awi. You have a big heart and I wish we should have stayed longer than be at the Cruise - which 3 of my family members had tummy issues but thats another story

What I liked about Awi Guest House was the personal touch and warm hospitality. The owner, Awi, went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable and welcome—he even came to pick us up by boat, which was such a unique and special touch. Awi is not only friendly but genuinely cares about his guests, always checking in to ensure everything was perfect. The village was beautiful and fun to explore, with friendly locals who made us feel very welcome. Awi’s service was top-notch, and the breakfast he served each morning was delicious and fulfilling. It was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. Awi truly made our stay memorable with his kindness and hospitality. The sunrise and sunset across the Nile River were absolutely stunning, adding a magical touch to the entire experience at Awi Guest House.

What I didn’t like: Honestly, there was nothing to dislike. My stay at Awi Guest House was perfect in every way!

Right on river bank at Elephantine island, with its own dock and 2 minutes walk from public ferry dock. Big apartment with brilliant river view includes 2 full bedrooms, kitchen, fridge, sitting area. Genuine village atmosphere (unlike the false tourist Nubian villages the boat tours take you to). No tourist market/people harrassing you to buy things. Despite being a village, the guest house has all facilities of 3 star hotel with good hot water, electricity, television, air conditioning etc. Good restaurants on island within short walk. Owner helps arrange taxi etc at very reasonable prices. Please be aware this is a village and surroundings will have animals and animals dung smell but this doesn't come into the guest house.

Breakfast was a bit limited.

We loved our stay at Awis guesthouse. The location right at the river on elephantine island is absolutely perfect. We felt right like holidays. The room was big and the beds comfortable. And we had the best view out of the window. Awi was so kind to us. He picked us up for free with his boat and brought us back. He helped us with tours and everything we needed. We can highly recommend this place.

Data la vicinanza al fiume ci sono sempre molte zanzare. Non è colpa della struttura, ma bisogna fare attenzione a non farle entrare.

Amazing place to stay, right next to the Nile River, with a such beautiful view and the staff is very friendly.

Il sig. Awi è una persona squisita, colazione tipica Egiziana molto buona. La casa è tipica nubiana con tutto l'occorrente. Casa, lenzuola e asciugamani pulite. Vista spettacolare sul Nilo dalle camere.

Il cuscino era scomodo.

Tout bon pour moi

The owners were lovely, the location was right on the water, relaxing and calm. We arrived at 2am after flight delays and the owner picked us up in his boat and brought us across to the island and then walked with us to show us the local store before arranging a late breakfast for us the next day so we could sleep in. We stayed for two nights and on our final day, just before checkout our cruise cancelled leaving us stranded. He made some calls and arranged a driver and car to take us to Kom Ombo and Edfu at a very reasonable price. I would have happily stayed extra nights if we had the time. Very relaxing and peaceful ☺️

A light cover or blanket would be good. There was a top sheet and a very heavy and thick warm blanket, something light in between would be lovely.

Awi vino a buscarme con su barca a la otra orilla, la este, para llevarme a Elephantina Island, el paraiso de la tranquilidad, uns isla sin coches. Tambien me llevo a las 3:30 am, en barca hasta el autobus, que el contrató, el dia que visite Abu Simbel y el día de la marcha. Alli disponía de una habitación con baño propio y acceso independiente. Los desayunos eran buenísimos, y como no me gusta el queso me ponían patatas fritas caseras. La habitacion era espaciosa y limpia y se accedía desde la terraza sobre el nilo, en el que me bañé en varias ocasiones. A pocos metros varios restaurantes excelentes con comida nubia, el mejor King Jamaica, donde cené Tajine de camello, exquisito. Las conversaciones con Awi, en la terraza de la casa frente al rio, super interesantes. Aprendí mucho del Alto Egipto, y sobretodo del pueblo nubio, el autoctóctono de la zona y dominante en la isla. No podía haber elegido mejor ubicación, ni recibido mejor trato de Awi y su mujer. Muchas gracias.

Beatiful location, spacious, new and clean room with a great view. Good breakfast. Awi was kind and supportive, picking and dropping us to Aswan upon arrival and departure.

No stove top, no minibar, no bath, no restaurant, no boat sent and waited for an hour before being told to get on the local ferry which meant dragging our cases through unpaved streets. Only 1 tiny mirror high up in bathroom. Towels were small hand towels.

Guesthouse idéalement située sur l'ïle Eléphantine à Aswan. Cette île est une halte agréable lors de notre voyage, éloignée du bruit de la ville. Awi est venu nous chercher directement sur la ville avec son bateau. Il est très arrangeant pour nous aider dans l'organisation des visites Notre logement est grand, spacieux, avec une belle vue sur le Nil.

Les matelas sont un peu mous. Des petits lampes de chevet seraient un plus.

Cute guesthouse on the island with an amazing view on the Nile. The host came to collect us from the dock with a small boat. The apartment was big, with 2 rooms with a view of the Nile. The beds were comfortable. There is a good restaurant (King Jamaica) around the corner.

ナイル川を見渡す開放的なロケーションが素晴らしい。 ​快適な客室と清潔感 部屋は広々としており、家族連れでもゆったりと過ごせます。清掃も行き届いており、非常に清潔で安心感があった。 ​スムーズな移動サポート 「大きな荷物を持ってのボート移動や島内移動」を懸念していたが、実際には全く問題なし。スタッフがボートで送迎してくれた上、部屋まで荷物を運んでくれたおかげで、とてもスムーズに移動できた。 ​親切なスタッフ スタッフの皆さんがとても親切で、滞在中は常に心地よいサポートを受けることができた。 ​ロケーション、設備、サービスすべてにおいて素晴らしい体験となった。家族旅行にも自信を持っておすすめできます。

特にないが外でゆっくりしていると蚊が多く刺されてしまったので、虫除けはしたほうがいい。部屋に虫除けは準備されていた。

The property is right on the Nile we had a great breakfast on the terrace every morning. The room was large and clean with an amazing view of the Nile and mainland Aswan.Awi and Fatima were laid back and helpful.All in all a lovely relaxing place to stay

La vue depuis la chambre et la terrasse était magnifique. La disponibilité de l'hôte qui est venu nous chercher et nous a fait traverser le Nil dans sa barque. Il nous a même proposé une excursion au village nubien. Et pour finir, il nous a ramené lors de notre départ.

Η Ελεφαντινη είναι ολα τα λεφτά για διαμονή. Το Awi guest house μικρο οικογενειακό με ολες τις ανέσεις οσων δεν αναζητούν πολυτέλειες. Εκπληκτικός, μοναδικός ο Mohamed Awi ο ιδιοκτήτης. Πέρα από την γλυκύτητα του χαρακτήρα του , την καθαρότητα στο βλέμμα του, είναι εκείνος που τα ξέρει όλα και βρίσκει λύση πάντα. Είναι αδιαμφισβήτητα ο " Νουβιος Βασιλιάς της Ελεφαντινης ". Για τους Έλληνες υπήρξε φίλος του Κωστή Μοσκωφ ενός σημαντικοτατου διανοούμενου, πρώην δημάρχου Σαλονίκης, πολιτιστικού ακόλουθου στην Αιγυπτο και θεμελιωτή της ανάδειξης του Καβάφη στην Αλεξάνδρεια.

Отличное месторасположение на берегу Нила. До парома минуты 3-5 пешком. Примерно столько же до кафе-ресторанов. В цену включена переправа в день приезда и день отъезда, лодка причаливает прямо к гостинице. Номера выходят на Нил, во всех панорамные окна. Есть терраса прямо на берегу, где можно отлично посидеть вечером. Там же сервируют завтрак. Кухня оборудована всем необходимым. Отличные хозяева! Хорошее соотношение цена-качество.

Напор воды в душе. За 2 дня мы так и не поймали положение, при котором напор и соотношение горячей и холодной воды не живет своей жизнью. Но возможно нам не повезло, а возможно это проблема всей Элефантины. На фоне остальных плюсов, для себя мы решили, что это несущественный недостаток.

Awi is great and friendly. He has his own boat and helped us get on and off the island to check in/out. He also helped us arrange the transportation for the activities and sightseeing. The property looks exactly like on the photos. The view from the apartment is picturesque. Breakfast by the Nile was pretty good . His house is located conveniently to the public ferry, small corner store and quite few restaurants.

At night some locals burn things that create quite a bit of thick smoke which can be smelled in the whole neighborhood. After we asked Awi about it, he spoke with whoever was burning things to do it further away, but it's still quite noticeable, especially for people with respiratory issues. Other than that, everything was great.

Super nice place to stay. Big apartments. With marvelous view, at Aswan city. Very clean ☀️ It is the most calm place, comparing to the other places in Egypt I have ever been. The whole island is green. Nubian people don’t try to sell you everything every second. Mr. Awi also made for us a really nice sunset tour at his private boat Feluca. Just 30$ for 1,5 hours. Personal boat. Amazing I can highly recommend you to do this too. I am writing the review, not only about the place to stay. But about the whole atmosphere of this place. We have also there the personal marina. So you don’t need to go anywhere. To take a boat just go downstairs from your apartment and you are on the river. 👍 also, you have a private restaurant. They will cook for you. Nice local meal. So it’s kind of all inclusive. For the normal price. Feel yourself like at home. 🤙 So we also did Abu Simbel. With Nubian people. Mr. Awi managed everything for us. No extra charges. Really nice to have the deal with a good man. Mr. Awi thank you one more time. It was a nice traveling with you. I wish you a good business. And a good people to come. 🙏

Мы благодарим Awi и его семью за то, что создали это прекрасное место. Это отличная возможность пожить в семье нубийцев, узнать об их жизни и культуре. Мне очень понравилось беседовать с Awi, он очень интеллектуальный мужчина, которого знает вся деревня:) Отель находится в стороне шумных улиц, в зелёной деревне. Я рекомендую его тем, кто любит отдыхать в тишине в окружении природы. В комнате были удобные кровати, вид на Нил, отличный туалет, хороший интернет, хорошая кухня, где вы можете приготовить еду. Также жена Awi готовит вкусные обеды в их кафе, спасибо ей за это. Также спасибо сыновьям Awi. Хассану за то, что встретил нас на лодке и покатал по Нилу через окрестности Асуана.

В квартире временно не работал холодильник, но хозяин разрешил нам пользоваться его холодильником. Поэтому это не проблема. Также я бы попросил хозяина сделать подушки в кроватях немного удобней.

位置很好，就在KFC码头对面，有自己的小船接送，是房东自己的房子自己经营，很有生活气息。刚到的时候还带我们开船兜了一小圈。入住后就不想动了，坐在河边喝茶聊天，吃晚饭，味道不错价格实惠。中途还让孩子去帮我买了一大瓶水🤣饭后还能在岛上逛逛，很不错😌

모든 시설이 다 갖춰져있고 모두 잘 작동했습니다 그리고 4인가족이 머물기에 너무나도 큰 공간이었습니다 더 많은 인원도 가능할 정도입니다. 공공 페리를 타고 왓다갔다하지만 굉장히 싸고 이색적이고 낭만있는 경험이었습니다 그리고 아위는 매우 친절했으며 1층에 아위가 머물고있기때문에 필요한것이 있으면 언제든지 아위에게 말씀하시면 해결해줄 것입니다

The friendly family went out of their way to make their customers happy. The house is large, clean and has a wonderful view of the Nile. Near the ferry to Aswan, just minutes away, but on the peaceful island of Elephantine. On the day of departure we had to leave too early for breakfast, but they made us breakfast for in the bus, so sweet!!

Beds: comfortable Since I come from village I felt like home. Do not expect hotel like location It’s a guest house and it’s amazing experience.

Awi and his wife are the most beautiful people.They cater for your every need and nothing is too much trouble.Breakfast is fabulous + set us up for the day. The serene location on the riverfront of the Nile River made my stay a scenic delight. Awi and his family are the best hosts anyone can wish for. The breakfast on their riverfront terrace was delicious and a highlight of every morning. They arranged a motorboat for me to visit the Nubian Village in the afternoon. And it was a memorable trip filled with thrills and fun. Seeing the sun slowly descending over the river, lighting up the landscape with glorious colors was amazing. Awi's son operated the motorboat, and guided me through the Nubian Village. He was a wonderful guide and spoke excellent English. And they also arranged an enjoyable trip for me to see the unfinished obelisk and the High Dam. The studio had big windows facing the Nile River. And I could see the feluccas and boats and ferries plying up and down the waterway from my windows. What a treat! And Awi also helped me buy groceries on the Elephantine Island. And carried the groceries back to my studio! I appreciate all the generous help and courtesies the family gave me during my stay there. His wife, Fatma, and his two children were hospitable, friendly and charming. And Fatma is such a good cook! I love the falafel, the potatoes, the beans and salads she prepared every morning. The coffee and tea were also great.

Отель находится на острове, тут свои атмосфера и ритм жизни! Очень советую тут пожить хотя бы денёк и погулять по извилистым улочкам этой островной деревни. Вас заберут с причала Асуана (от ресторана KFC) в день заселения и доставят обратно в день выселения - это очень гостеприимно! Но вы в любой момент (с 6 утра до 12 ночи можете перебраться на общественном пароме за 15 фунтов) на другую сторону. Очень приветливые хозяева! Вкусный завтрак с прекрасным видом на Нил! Отличная цена за номер. Номера просторные, кондиционер работает исправно, есть холодильник и чайник.

El encargado y su esposa muy amables y preocupados. Llegamos tarde en la noche y nos fue a buscar con su lancha. Desayuno muy bueno, departamento limpio, amplio. El último día salimos a las 04:30 am. Nos tenía una bolsa con desayunos para cada una y consiguió que una lancha nos viniera a buscar.

早餐可能饮食习惯不一样，实在吃不惯，其他都挺好的，房主认真经营，起早贪黑，非常不容易。大家支持一下

Pour un francais WC et salle de bain dans la même pièce, sans bac de douche cela surprend mais la propreté de la chambre rend le sejour super.

Tolle Unterkunft in einem Nubischen Dorf auf der Insel Elefantine in Assuan direkt am Ufer des Nils gelegen. Der Gastgeber Mohamed holt seine Gäste direkt mit dem Motorboot vom Fähranleger ab, sodas die Gepäckschepperei auf der Insel entfällt. Uns hat er super Tips gegeben und einen tollen Einblick in das dortige Leben ermöglicht. Das Zimmer war super ausgestattet und das Frühstück lecker. Assuan wird unvergessen bleiben.

Awi himself was a great host, calming, chilled, nice... exactly the kind of person you need and want after Luxor. Such a nice dude. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and quite just off the main public ferry "terminal", very easy to access and with views of the Nile! Can't recommend it enough, great stay!

Très bonne accueil, un a priori nonchalants des propriétaires mais qui finalement font au mieux pour nous satisfaire: petit déjeuner et repas très bons. Penser à commander au plus vite vos repas pour éviter d attendre car la cuisine est faite à la demande. Le propriétaire possède aussi des bateaux donc ne pas hésitez à passer par eux car je suis certain qu ils feront cela bien (nous, nous avions déjà réservé par une agence). La vue de la terrasse est juste top, près de la ville et pour autant très calme. (Et comme les activités se font en bateau, on peut leur demander de passer directement à la Guest house qui donne sur le Nil) . Une très très bonne adresse !

Certes ce n'est pas le grand luxe, mais un charme certain se distille à la fois de l'ile et du logement et on se laisse gagner par l'indolence du lieu. L'excellent petit déjeuner sur la terrasse donnant directement sur le Nil vaut à lui seul le déplacement. Notre hôte nous a organisé les différentes visites et activités (voiture pour Philae et le barrage, Felouque au coucher du soleil) pour beaucoup moins cher que les agences, alors n'hésitez pas à lui demander. Allez aussi voir pas très loin le petit musée "Animalia", très intéressant et sympathique.

Attention, comme cela semble être le cas partout dans cette région, seul le drap du dessous est fourni. Pour le reste, il n'y a qu'une sorte de plaid, ne soyez donc pas surpris.

Établissement bien placé offrant une très belle vue sur le Nil. L’appartement était extrêmement propre et bien équipé. L’hôte toujours disponible et serviable nous a offert un petit déjeuner typique et très bon.

The accommodation represents excellent value for money. The apartment is well equipped but I didn't have any hot water for the shower but that was fine because the weather was so hot anyway. It is in a lovely settling on an island on the middle of The Nile and it is easy to get to with a ferry constantly crossing and costing about 20p. The breakfast was outstanding with a lovely selection of fresh ingredients.. the best I had in Luxor served to you on a tray. The bed was comfortable and sleeping was very peaceful

It is unfortunate that the local people drop so much litter and no one seems to take responsibility for cleaning it up so the path leading to the apartment is strewn with debris. The only real negative about the apartment was that although the pillow was covered i could see that it was very dirty and needs to be washed or replaced. Also remember to take mosquito spray because if you go out even for a few minutes in the early evening you will get badly bitten as I found out afterwards!

The Host is helpful, help us do laundry but need to purchase detergent . Breakfast is nice.

The access to the property is very dusty. Like into the villages. Pillow cover and mattress cover not very clean. Bed got ants . Got ants bite . Need to take boat to the island.

Awi guest house was perfect. Coming from the chaos and noise of Cairo this was a welcomed change of pace. The guest house and island it is situated on feels like you have left Egypt and arrived in Africa. The island was quiet, unheard of in Egypt (no pun intended). The room had a spectacular view of the Nile, a small kitchen, and private washroom. I was clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant near by and Awi offers to make breakfast on his water front patio. I did not have breakfast so no details for you guys. Being on an island requires a short ferry ride across the Nile. It will cost 10 egp ($0.30 ish) both ways. So keep some egp on hand. Awi will meet you at the ferry to guide you to the house and speaks relatively good English.

Excellent location, with a beautiful view of Nile and the city of Aswan. Only 2 min walk from the pier, where you can take a ferry to conveniently get to Aswan. By the water~ It’s Aswan all about. The host helped with transporting my luggage by his own boat on the arrival and departure day. It very important if you have big luggage like me. The host was very helpful on suggesting how to travel to attractions around Aswan. He could even recommend economical tours if you need them. I had a very pleasant and relaxing stay there!

Clean room amazing view of river and boats .Very helpful owner for tours and information. Ferry is one minute walk.

Breakfast was delicious and featured local specialties. Awi, the host, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. One great advantage is the free boat transfer they offer from the island to the city, making it much easier to plan the day and arrive on time for tours and other activities. The apartment was comfortable and matched the description perfectly, making our stay very enjoyable.
