We had a wonderful stay at Home Farm Apartments. The apartment was cosy, comfortable and beautifully presented, making it a lovely place to relax and unwind. The welcome amenities were a really thoughtful touch and made us feel at home straight away — especially the chocolate marshmallows, which were absolutely delicious! Everything was just right for a relaxing stay, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

La casa è perfettamente pulita e accessoriata. L'accoglienza è stata magnifica con la musica in sottofondo, una lampada accese e un cestino di benvenuto. Ci siamo sentiti subito a casa ed è stato bellissimo perché siamo arrivati dopo una giornata di pioggia e un viaggio abbastanza lungo.

L'unica piccola pecca è che la zona di ingresso è piccolina, e non è semplicissimo lasciare le scarpe e le giacche bagnate.

Well fitted out & located cottage

Disrespectful owner charge my card 100 pounds unauthorisedly as she couldn't be bothered with regular cleanup after paying guests like us had left! Perhaps the owner oughtn't to let it out in future & stay in cottage only herself! That'll keep it spanking clean.

Exceptionally clean, quiet location and Fiona, our host, went above and beyond for us. It was the perfect home base while we explored Portree and Skye. Highly recommend!

Les chaises sont trop basses pour la table de la salle à manger sinon c’est parfait. Bien sûr ne pas compter sur une vue en perspective.

The apartment was clean and comfortable with a nice welcome pack. Good hanging space for clothes. There was good parking and outside seating. It had everything we needed. Fiona and Chris were very friendly and nearby for any queries.

It was really nice. Even the rain didn't put us off.

Bedrooms small but fine. Window by dining table didn’t close properly so bit of a draft, needs fixing. Couldn’t get the heating to come on but a call to the owner and they came round and was quickly sorted, thanks.

Clean and including all necessary amenities . Walking distance to town which was great as parking is difficult in town.

Petrol / Parafin smell in the bathroom was a little disappointing.

Very quiet, well stocked kitchen for cooking meals . Short walk up the hill from town center. Comfy beds and pillows. Everything seems to be brand new.

Very nicely appointed with mod cons and generous welcome basket. Great support from Chris with heating and TV settings.

So clean, updated kitchen and bathroom, many amenities and conveniences. Complimentary goodies and supplies.

Initially we booked the home for 3 people. One person had to cancel the trip. We used the extra bedroom to store our luggage. The bedroom with the queen bed was comfortable. The windows had blackout shades to reduce lighting in the bedroom in the summer. The kitchen, dining and living area was quite open. Kitchen was equipped with a microwave, oven, stovetop, coffee maker, small refrigerator, washer, dryer and dishwasher. The host provided a basket with a number of snacks and oatmeal. The bathroom was spacious for European standards and was equipped with a tub/shower combination. The tub was very tall. This might be difficult for less agile people. The shower was more of a handheld unit. It had an instant water heater. Water pressure was good. The home was quite clean. Furniture and equipment was in very good shape. The location is a little further from town. We could certainly walk to town. But less mobile may need to drive into town. Quiet area. A senior living home is next door. Another hotel and restaurant is on the other side of the three homes.

Everything! Lovely and modern, immaculately clean, lots of appliances in the kitchen, great shower.

Just the right size for the three of us. Everything was new. Nice amenities provided (my wife appreciated all the bath products :) And great not to need a car.

The TV never got a satellite feed. We have a smart TV and followed the instructions provided, but couldn't get it to work. That said, we are readers and with all the beautiful scenery shouldn't be in front of a screen anyway!

Apt is walkable to town, very clean and staff is responsive and pleasant. The restaurant in the hotel next door is excellent.

We loved this place. It was well laid out and comfortable, and the location was perfect for us. The house was well stocked and appointed and allowed us to truly relax. Staff we fantastic, responsive and pleasant.

Very little. It was close to perfect. If we had to say anything, it would be great to have Bluetooth speakers in the suites.

The apartment was clean and well arranged. Felt like we had privacy.

The food was not getting hot in the microwave. But we were able to manage with the gas hob.

The cottage was absolutely perfect in every way! The sauna with a view of the water, the many beautiful touches, and the attention to detail were top notch!

Location to Portree and Skye sites is great. Fully stocked kitchen and house as well.

Definitely need a car for this one. Bathroom on main floor and bedrooms upstairs, which are a bit narrow.

It was all new and exactly as the photos.

The property was lovely, and clean and had everything we needed for our 2 day stay! We liked that it was a short walk to town making it a great location! Our host even left a nice basket for all our morning needs. The only suggestion is leaving more towels for guests. (We did request some but for some reason they didn't come) We would HIGHLY recommend staying here and would rebook if ever back!!!

Fantastic location! Very comfortable space for 3 single adults traveling together. Appreciated the shower, snacks, and milk in the fridge.

The property directions were thorough but I still drove in a circle because I wasn't sure where to park.

Difficult stairs and both took a tumble

My family and I had a great time at Hazel’s apartment. Through the weather wasn’t the best, all Hazel provided made this place like a home: Kitchen facilities also helped a lot to make a simple dinner and breakfast if you purchase vegetables, fruits, and breads; all rooms were tidy and cozy for a stay; toilet are clean with heater can dry your towel as well. The apartment has a place where you can park car free, very conviennent if you drive. Just a bit far to walk to the centre (maybe because of the storm during my stay) I also would like to thank Hazel for finding my lost AirPods and helped to post to my next travel destination!

Really cosy house, with lovely kitchen space. Everything we needed and felt like home from home. Ideal location and hosts were easy to communicate with.

Föhn geht nicht, Trockner funktioniert auch nicht. Waschmaschine läuft aus, Müll muss man selbst rausbringen, Heizung geht nicht aus in einem Zimmer, es wird also sehr heiß. man soll putzen, Tür bad geht nicht ganz auf wegen des unebenen Fußbodens, wenn man in das haus kommt riecht es muffif, lüften geht nur wenn es nicht regnet, da es dachfenster sind. Das Fenster unten geht nicht richtig zu. Es ist auch alles sehr sehr eng. Preis Leistung passt einfach nicht

The cottage was so cozy and clean. Also, the beds were so comfortable. The best ones we've slept in the whole trip. Hazel was friendly and helpful.

This is a very functional and conveniently located apartment. The apartment is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Despite being an easy walk into Portree, the apartment is quiet and very comfortable. There is a nice outdoor eating area and the host provides a basket of goodies including tea, coffee and cookies as a welcome gift. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience and would highly recommend to other travelers. The only thing that was missing for me was a hair dryer.

Loved it! It was in a great spot, very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying there!

The heating wasn’t consistent and one night turned on, but the other, didn’t. Also the first night only 2 out of the 3 of us could shower because there was no more hot water. Just a note that the washing machine didn’t drain properly when we tried to use it

Off-street free parking and a very short walk from the town centre. Nice kitchen, dining and living areas. Nice welcome pack.

Short beds for tall people

This was our second visit to the Isle of Skye, and since we stayed near Dunvegan the first time I wanted to stay in Portree. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the Portree harbor. It's also just a couple minutes drive from the big Co-op grocery, making the location ideal. There are three apartments here, and there is room for three cars (if the other guests would park appropriately!) I was in apartment 3. The bedrooms were upstairs and were very comfortable. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed (but no paper towels for some reason). The place was very clean and there was plenty of room for 4 people to relax. There's also a separate washer and dryer (you don't see that often in Europe!). The price was very good when you compare it to other apartments on Skye.

The location of the bathroom isn't ideal. The bathroom is located in the mudroom/foyer entry area, but it was spacious. However, there's an odor in there that won't go away. It's a combination of moth balls/petroleum and I believe it comes from the stained wood beam they used as a shelf in the bathroom. The smell is strong enough that it permeates the whole floor for those with sensitive noses. Also, the mount for the shower head was broken, so it was only usable as a hand-held (should be replaced). This is one of those places that my rating would fluctuate based on the price paid - it would be a great find if you can get a below market price.
