A wonderful welcome from Michael and Kate. We immediately felt at home. The studio is delightful, cosy, well equipped lovely touches. They accommodated our ebikes in the garage, thanks.

Easy to locate. Great communication with the host. Ample parking. Short walk into Donegal Town. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean facilities. A cosy studio apartment rather than a room. Fab!!

Cosy, well kept, lots of facilities given the size without feeling crowded. Great hosts who were very friendly and helpful in giving tips that I’m glad I followed!

Kate's place was not only very clean and comfortable it was the warmth and kindness of both Kate and Michael that will forever be remembered! Kate left cookies and milk, coffee and tea and more in the fridge. They both would always be on hand to help with everything, literally anything and everything. I would highly encourage staying here it was a beautiful experience. Close to town with access to a variety of restaurants.

We loved the space and the hosts

We had such an exceptional experience staying here. When we arrived Kate was waiting for us at the door. The room was very clean and comfortable. She had a coffee maker with pods, iron board, extra blankets, snacks, honestly anything you could think of. The room was thoughtfully put together to maximize your stay. She gave us a break down of all of local restaurants and activities and proceeded to offer to drive us into town (which she later did with pleasure). My fiance and I were blown away with the hospitality and it was our favorite stay while in Ireland. Kate was such a pleasure to meet. Would 100% recommend.

We didn't have a single complaint. If you are in Donegal this is a must stay.

Before I arrived helpful check in instructions from Kate and Michael. Well sign posted and easy to find. The actual location is set back from the main road so incredibly quiet. Kate came out to greet me and show me around the room and make sure I was settled in. The room was really clean and comfortable with everything you needed. There were little touches such as fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits. The bathroom has all the amenities you need including shampoo and conditioner. There is a lovely verandah for sitting out and enjoying the afternoon sun. Within walking distance of Donegal town. I would 100% recommend Kate's Place

Absolutely nothing!

Great location, hosts very knowledgable about the area and guided me towards things to check out both in the area and further afield.

On arrival we were met by the lovely host Kate. The room is beautifully furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We parked right out front. The house is just off the main road so was easy to find. It is close to town however it was quiet and peaceful. We drove into Donegal and really enjoyed the lovely town. Breakfast cereals, milk, juice was provided. It was self service which suited us.

The room was tight so managing two suitcases was not ideal but we did manage and I would happily stay again.

I think Kate and Michael are the most welcoming hosts I've ever met! Beautiful space, gorgeous garden- the birdsong in the evening and morning was such a joy

Perfect spot for exploring the northern part of Ireland. Stayed 2 nights. Close to town. Had everything we needed.

Hosts were absolutely lovely and accommodating-and gave us some fantastic recommendations for our trip and time in Donegal, the room was clean and cosy, and the snacks/food provided was delicious!

The owners, Michael and Kate, were amazing! They are so sweet and helpful - truly a joy. The place itself was clean and really cute! The grounds are beautiful! And I really appreciated the sign on the road to help with directing us there!

Kate fue muy amable. Nos recibió ella misma y nos enseñó la habitación y nos dió varias recomendaciones sobre donde comer y qué hacer en la zona. Gracias a ella pudimos ver la Cascada secreta sin problema ya que no sabíamos que teníamos que tener en cuenta la marea para poder llegar y salir bien. Además la habitación tiene nevera, microondas, cafetera y tostadora y nos dejó algunas cosas para el desayuno como leche para el cafe, mermelada, cereales...

El trato de Kate y Michael fue excelente. El apartamento es muy acogedor y tiene vistas a un jardín precioso.

Spotless and compact, everything you need.

Great location. Convenient to Donegal, Killybegs, Slieve League. Our hosts Kate and Michael were super friendly and generous with their time and advice. They even accommodated our needing to return 4 hours later to retrieve items left behind. Kate even took us to town and gave us a quick tour so we'd be familiar with the area. ( This was not a paid tour, but a kindness that Kate was able to afford us that day)

No negative info to report. We'd go back tomorrow.

Nice clean, cosy room. Hosts were very kind and gracious. It’s a little out of town but Michael kindly dropped us down to the main square both nights that we stayed. There were plenty of taxis in town to get us home😊

Bedroom would benefit from storage to hang clothes

Well placed for Donegal town, a short car ride to the large pay and display carpark in the centre of town. The room was very clean and well appointed.

The bed was a little hard for me as I have a bad back but that is a me problem and not the fault of the host.

Camera veramente deliziosa con tutto il necessario, padroni di casa accoglienti e gentilissimi. Inoltre, in camera avevamo anche tutto il necessario per prepararci una colazione.

Excellent studio apartment - great use of space. Facilities were perfect - fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, hairdryer. Everything we needed and more! Was not expecting mini cereals, milk, orange juice, butter, jam and cookies so those were a huge bonus. 15/20 minute walk into Donegal on a lit pavement. Couldn't have been better. Kate and Michael were very welcoming and lovely people. Can't reccomend the place highly enough. Would most definitely go back. Thank you Kate and Michael for providing such a great place to stay.

Although small it had everything you need for a stop over or a couple of nights if you could get it. We were greeted by Kate a lovely host. Spoilt with some lovely biscuits, and breakfast supplies.

Extremely clean, quiet and well-resourced apartment. Lots of lovely extras to make the stay effortless and enjoyable.

Lovely hosts, nice quite room, 20 minutes walk to Donegal town, free parking, jam, milk, orangejuice in the refrigerator, koffie pads and tea, cornflakes, bring your own bread and even your breakfast is done.

Kate’s Place is perfectly located, a short walk into the town centre where you can visit a whole host of local pubs, cafes and shops. Kate & Michael were really hospitable, they couldn’t do enough for us to make sure our stay was as easy as possible.

Great location, quiet, comfortable bed. Our hosts were lovely Irish people, only too happy to help when needed.

It was a great little accommodation but just a touch small with two adults with large suitcases and loads of other little bags (2 month road trip). That is our fault not the accommodation we still loved our stay.

Our stay in Donegal couldn’t have been better! The room was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and very comfortable. The location is perfect - just a short walk from the city center. Kate is so friendly and helpful. She has the room perfectly set up- lovely little extras provided including tea/ coffee/ butter/biscuits /bottle of milk and juice. Very comfortable bed with such freshly scented bed linen. Beautifully decorated and cosy. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely bathroom, also immaculate and there is separate shampoo/ conditioner/body wash in the shower. We really enjoyed our stay.

The lovely owners Kate & Michael met me on arrival & explained the layout. The unit has everything (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, crockery / cutlery) that you might want for a night or two. Close to town but far enough away from the main road to be really quiet.

Kate and Michael are lovely, always ready to help and give good tips. The bed was really comfortable and everything was perfectly clean. The towels and bed sheets smell incredibly good

Everything was great, Kate greeted us at the door once we pulled in and took us on in, she had recommendations on where to go eat and what pubs were good, she had taxi numbers in the room for us too if we needed. The bed was very comfortable and everything was great. There was even wee bottles of water etc. in the fridge and cookies and other treats for you to use aswell. Everything was amazing.

It was a very cozy and comfortable studio. Our stay was short but very comfortable. We felt at home, and Kate and her husband were gracious hosts. They were accommodating in offering us tips and a ride into town—extra and beyond expectations.

Lovely hosts. Studio was private and included all you would need for a short stay. Overlooks garden and I enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders. Walkable to Donegal shops and restaurants.

Great set up, room was lovely, clean and very welcoming. Kate was very kind and helpful.

Location. Quietness. No stairs! The hosts suppling tea, coffee, milk, juice and biscuits as a welcome pack, as well as toiletries and towels.

Only thing missing was BBC and ITV television channels, but coped very well with the channels we had.

The weather.

Lovely comfortable and compact living space. Separate toilet and shower area. Parking in driveway beside the accommodation. Living space was well organised with excellent use of the available space. The décor had a class feel. There were two easy chairs with throws beside the table. It was equipped with a pod coffee maker, kettle, fridge, drinking water container and microwave. The package of deluxe cholate biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge and water were the icing on the cake. A very friendly and welcoming host. I will booking in advance for next year.

This is a lovely studio just down the road from Donegal. It has everything we needed for a three-night stay. The studio is well appointed with comfortable bed and good-sized bathroom. Kate and Michael were lovely and the perfect hosts. They couldn't do enough to ensure we had a good stay. It was so quiet and peaceful and had a nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink.
