The Snug

Great location, only a 5 minute drive from Donegal town centre. Private entry with parking for a car outside. The owners were courteous, helpful and always available to answer any questions we might have had. Even providing a cot for our one year old on request. The Snug has everything you could possibly need for a few days exploring the local area.

Near the town, had everything you need, specially if you have kids, having the kitchen to make snacks or breakfast it’s a great addition, they had games and a book with a few recommendations to do around town. The host was very nice and friendly.

L'appartement était très agréable. On y trouve tout pour cuisiner et on a même été accueillis avec des pâtisseries (très gentille attention). Très bonne connection wifi. Très bien situé et il y a beaucoup de documentations à disposition pour visiter la région.

They provided all that anyone would need for a self catering holiday, this part if Ireland is stunning and I only wish we could've stayed longer. Scones, jam, tea, coffee and fresh milk were provided to welcome us. The location was quiet and only a 15 minute walk along a not too busy road to get into the town. They supplied Hi Viz vests in case people wanted to use them for the walk in. The property was better than expected.

The only minor thing was that there were three of us (adults) with a two seater sofa and dining chairs, which was fine, however, it might benefit from the provision of an extra couple of (maybe foldable/easy to store/camping or able to be requested from the owners) comfy chairs. But I'm being very picky, the property was very nice and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

the hosts were very friendly and we're on hand if needed with directions or places to eat .it was a short walk to the town and mill park hotel which we went for dinner and was excellent. little touches to make this accommodation special like milk in fridge and lovely scones when we arrived. it's absolutely spotless. we will definitely be back .Donegal is a beautiful place to visit .thanks again Brendan and Claire.

There's really not much. Two small little things were that it's very close to Donegal town and you can certainly walk it, however it's a walk along a road with no footpath or hard shoulder (high vis were provided by the owners though 😊) And as a personal preference I would have loved sn upstairs toilet (There's a bathroom downstairs with shower and toilet ).

We liked everything about this little gem, spotless, and had everything we need, just home from home. Loved have the outside space for dining. Would highly recommend.

Very clean and tidy house, owners were very welcoming and even got us some scones. Owners were kind enough to give a lift into the town one day. Great value for money and will hopefully come back soon! (Hopefully we weren’t too loud)

My husband and I stayed here for the very last stop of our honeymoon. The house was definitely cozy and the host was so welcoming! You can get to Donegal Town even on foot, but there is also space to park in the accomodation. It's close to the Reel Inn, a pub where we had the night of our lives enjoying both traditional irish music and more contemporary one. We can surely recommend this place!

Die Unterkunft ist neu ausgestattet mit allen wichtigen Utensilien. Es gibt sogar eine Waschmaschine mit integriertem Trockner. Perfekt für eine Familie.

Super bequeme Betten, sehr sehr netter Gastgeber! Liebevolle Begrüßungs-Scones. Toll dass für den Anfang alles da ist - Salz, Zucker, Kaffee,Tee, Haushaltsmittel. Alles bestens, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect little spot if you’re travelling with young kids, you have the freedom to watch tv when they go bed. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were exceptionally kind and welcoming too!

Sehr netter Empfang und alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg in den Ort. Klein, aber gemütlich. Wir haben Scones zur Begrüßung bekommen und im Kühlschrank waren ein paar Basics fürs Frühstück. Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge.

Der Fußboden war recht kalt und das Haus war ziemlich hellhörig. Das Wasser im Waschbecken (Bad) wurde nicht warm. Aber das waren verhältnismäßig Kleinigkeiten.

This was the second time that we stayed here and all I can say that it is still exceptional. My family and I are very satisfied with our stay. Would still recommend it.

The home was clean. The kitchen is well-equipped. The neighbourhood is quiet. The host was hospitable and thoughtful, providing extra touches like welcome snacks (scones), clothing racks, and hangers.

Take note that the master bedroom is on the second floor. It would be even better if a luggage rack was provided.

Lovely little space outside Donegal town. The unit is great, self contained with everything you'd need; there's one big upstairs room, and downstairs is an open plan entrance/ kitchen/ sitting room and a bedroom at the back with a set of bunkbeds, and a bathroom with a shower (and a lit mirror, good for doing makeup!). Everything was very modern and clean and there was clean towels left out. The kitchen has a microwave, washing machine, fridge, everything you might need. There was a hairdryer provided in the main bedroom. Donegal town is lovely; make sure you check out the castle and the pubs! Hosts were lovely and gave great advice about getting around the town and things to do. Really enjoyed our stay there! Taxi availability was much better than I'd thought but you have to ring, nothing app-based; the hosts provide local numbers in the welcome booklet.

Not really a problem but just to note if you needed an iron/ ironing board there isn't one. If driving, be careful when pulling out of the drive as it's not a particularly low speed road but the visibility is okay. It's definitely within walking distance of the town (less than 20 mins, easily) but would be careful if walking at night as the roads up to the house are unlit and there isn't proper paths all the way, though the hosts kindly left out high-vis jackets which you can use if needed (we just went by taxi).

The self-contained apartment was lovely and had everything you needed. Brendan, the host, was attentive and welcoming. There was fresh milk, bread, and butter supplied, which was unexpected. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

The Snug is small but beautiful! It's very modern and has everything you need. So close to Donegal town so everything is easy to get to. Brendan & Claire were welcoming hosts.

What an incredible stay at this exceptionally well-maintained flat in Donegal. The property was easy to access, it was so very clean and ridiculously comfortable; I genuinely wished I had stayed longer! There wasn't one thing missing from the property, from the well-stocked kitchen, to the bathroom toiletries and the immensely helpful washer/dryer. Everything was clean and spotless and the decor was so nice and modern. The hosts were kind and helpful and I couldn't recommend this flat more.
