Herzelia Rooftop Special 2 Room Apartment vs Similar Hotels

Rooms are described as worn, with reports of stains, poor air conditioning (very hot rooms) and occasional lack of hot water — room condition is below expectations.

Multiple reviews report stains on mattresses, rooms with ants and cockroaches, dirty outdoor seating and inconsistent housekeeping (forgotten soaps) — cleanliness is a clear weakness.

Consistently praised: close to highway and train station, convenient for business trips and with plentiful underground parking — location is a major strength.

Mixed but predominantly positive: several guests describe staff as very helpful and exceptional (including specific praise), though there are isolated reports of rude or inattentive reception. Overall service is considered a strong point by many reviewers.

Several complaints about breakfast quality (buffet downgraded to poor lobby offering), lack of breakfast availability in some cases, and unpleasant lobby snacks — food and beverage is a weak area.

Mixed amenities: good parking and drink machine praised, but tea/coffee corner, lobby snacks and bottled water policy disappointed several guests; overall amenities are reasonably good but inconsistent.

Conflicting impressions but several guests explicitly note excellent value for price; despite some negative experiences, multiple reviewers feel the hotel provides good value, especially for business stays.
