It was the best hotel we had during our holiday in egypt ! The matress were really confortable and it was really calm (i can sleep without ear plug !) The staff was really nice. You re just at 10 min walk to the ferry if you want to go to Karnak or amon temple. They can arrange you driver with his son to king valley, airport etc at really good prices. The swimming pool was perfect for the hot afternoon. They have breakfast and cold drinks for cheap price too. There is a nice restaurant next to the hotel too so the emplacement is really perfect. Thanks you Mohammed, ibrahim, mahmood.

Il soggiorno a Casa Loko è stato meraviglioso. L'appartamento familiare al piano terra, con accesso diretto alla fresca piscina, ha spazi ampi, puliti e dotati di ogni confort. Qualsiasi cosa possa essere necessaria in una casa vacanza, lì è disponibile! Nel mese di agosto, la piscina è fondamentale per affrontare i tempi liberi tra un'escursione e l'altra, è qui è stato come essere in un'oasi, tra il verde e la tranquillità. Mahmoud e Ibrahim sono dei padroni di casa estremamente disponibili e gentili esaudendo ogni nostro bisogno.

From start to finish the hosts (specifically Mahmood) were very accommodating. They made us feel at home. Location is on the West Bank and near to all of the ancient sites. Hopefully I would like to come again one day.

Sinds november 2023 al 8 x in Casa Loko geweest, dat wil toch wat zeggen. Voelt echt als thuis komen. Genieten van het ruime appartement met een zalig zwembad in een leuke tuin. Casa Loko is een klein paradijsje op de westelijke oever van de Nijl, ideaal gelegen tussen Luxor en de indrukwekkende monumenten in de woestijn. De ferry naar Luxor ligt op ongeveer 15 tot 20 minuten lopen. De accommodatie bevindt zich in een rustige, niet-toeristische Egyptische wijk, wat wij juist heel leuk vonden. Je krijgt daardoor een authentiekere indruk van het dagelijks leven in Egypte. Casa Loko wordt gerund door Mohamed, die dit samen met Manuela en Daniel heeft opgezet. Zij zijn vanuit Zwitserland actief betrokken bij Casa Loko. Mohamed wordt ter plaatse geholpen door zijn zoon Ahmed en zijn broer Ibrahim, en samen zorgen zij voor een warme en gastvrije sfeer. Wij verbleven drie dagen in het appartement op de begane grond. Het appartement had twee slaapkamers, een ruime woonkamer met open keuke (die wij niet hebben gebruikt) en schuifdeuren naar een eigen terras. Vanaf daar was het nog geen 5 meter lopen naar het zwembad. Alles voelde ontspannen, ruim en comfortabel. De ontvangst door Mohamed en Ibrahim was allerhartelijkst. Wat wij ook erg prettig vonden, was dat we ’s avonds gewoon buiten op het terras konden eten. Mohamed bestelde eten voor ons bij het naastgelegen Wolf Restaurant, wat heel lekker was na een dag vol indrukken. Mohamed heeft daarnaast veel voor ons geregeld. Zo organiseerde hij een auto met Engelssprekende chauffeur, die ons naar de Vallei der Koningen, de Tempel van Hatsjepsoet en Medinet Habu bracht en ons later weer ophaalde. Ook regelde hij een ballonvaart voor ons. Hij stond steeds klaar met goede tips en was altijd in voor een praatje, maar op een heel prettige manier: behulpzaam en betrokken, zonder opdringerig te zijn of het gevoel te geven dat je iets moest boeken of kopen. Al met al is Casa Loko een geweldige plek voor wie Luxor en de westelijke oever op een ontspannen, persoonlijke en authentieke manier wil ervaren. Een warm, gastvrij verblijf waar wij met heel veel plezier op terugkijken.

Geen idee, als we ooit weer naar Luxor gaan, komen we hier graag terug.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation on the West Bank of Luxor and can highly recommend it. The property is very spacious and thoughtfully designed. Everything feels well planned, from the layout to the small details that make the stay comfortable. The bedrooms are located away from the street, which makes them quiet and perfect for a good night’s sleep. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The pool is a great place to relax, and the breakfast was delicious and satisfying. We also appreciated the flexibility of having both fans and air conditioning available, as well as the insect-screened windows, which made a big difference. The accommodation includes a kitchen and a TV, adding even more convenience. The bathroom is very spacious, and overall the entire place feels comfortable and well-equipped for both short and longer stays. The location is excellent—close to all major sights in Luxor and with small local shops nearby for daily needs. Everything about this place is carefully thought out, and it truly shows. We would definitely stay here again.

Guest house très agréable, dans une rue au calme, à qlqs minutes en taxi pour rejoindre la vallée des rois ou autres sites. A moins de 10min à pieds pour l'embarcadère pour rejoindre la rive Est. Appartement très confortable, piscine très agréable. Hôte toujours très disponible pour répondre à tous nos besoins et faciliter le séjour. Nous sommes restés une nuit de plus que prévu. Je recommande! !

Casa Loko je taková oáza klidu v Luxoru, který oázou klidu rozhodně není. Celou dobu se o nás staral Ibrahim. Na místě vám nabídnou spoustu možností k dokoupení, ale počítejte s příplatkem. Využili jsme jeden den soukromého řidiče a vše fungovalo skvěle, Abdulah byl jeden z nejsympatičtější lidí, co jsme potkaly. Apartmán, kde jsme bydlely byl v přízemí. Přímo z něj jsme měly přístup k bazénu. Apartmán je velmi prostorný, 2 ložnice, veliká koupelna, kuchyně s velikým obývákem.

Na místní poměry nic, ale když přijedete z Evropy, tak si musíte zvyknout na egyptský způsob jednání a že vám něco nabízeno.

2 Irish 🇮🇪 friends sharing an apartment in April 2026. The friendly and helpful hosts, the location close to the Valley of the Kings, good facilities and the easy check in process. This is a really great location with large, clean apartments. Being on the west bank is great as it's quieter and less touristy than the main city. Access to the city by ferry is easy and a 10 minute walk.

Everything: apartment was spatious and comfortable, staff were incredebly warm and welcoming, particularly to our kids, the swim in the pool couldn’t have come at a better time by 38 degrees. And the breakfast was delicious. Right next to an excelent restaurant as well

Bonjour, Pour un séjour en famille (2 adultes et 1 enfant de 7 ans), nous avions un appartement très spacieux et bien équipé. Le linge de maison et quelques accessoires sont en quantité largement suffisante. Mohammed, ses fils, et Ibrahim sont très acceuillants et nous facilitent le séjour. Le logement est situé près d un très bon restaurant (le wolf) ce qui facilite la prise de certains repas.

The place is cozy, clean and beautiful. Even though the location is quite rural but still, you can walk about 15-20 mins to the river bank to take the ferry to the east side of Luxor. The staffs are nice and willing to assist you whenever you need them. We stayed at the property in January. It's quite cold, we don't even need air conditioned or fan. The surrounding is peaceful especially when you chill at the rooftop

The guesthouse is not close to the city centre, and out of reach for ubers, but it is located in a very quiet village and is equipped with everything you may need, including a great swimming pool, which was perfect to have in scorching hot days after our tours in and around Luxor. The hosts will do everything to make you feel like family, so you can count on them to help arrange whatever you may need. It is also great value for money considering we had an apartment to ourselves. There's a delicious restaurant next door and a small convenience store in case you need snacks, drinks and other small items.

I stayed at CASA LOKO for two nights, but I honestly wish I could have stayed much longer! We had a great experience, the room was excellent, the pool was very nice, and the highlight was definitely the amazing terrace where we watched a beautiful sunset. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They even came to pick us up when we were in a difficult situation, and they always did their best to help us with anything we needed. If I ever come back to Luxor, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! 10/10

The pool is a great nice to have after a long day in the hot sun exploring. The level of service offered at Casa is excellent. Monhamed, Mahmoud and Ibrahim have been perfect hosts and have provided with insights and car service to visit all the attractions Luxor has to offer. Location is great: quiet and peaceful West Bank village.

Upon our departure, we noticed that arriving guests were being offered welcome drinks, whereas we did not receive any upon our arrival. While it’s not a major issue, I do hope that all guests are treated equally.

The place is very clean，spacious and nice with good decoration. It might be newly decorated or built. Also the facilities are well equipped with kitchenwares such as pot and pan, so you can cook some meal at home. The bathrooms are all very clean and without any smell. The host of the guest house is very helpful and solved many probs in time.

They have a WiFi device on 3 or 4th floor so if you are living on ground floor the connection would be poor. Also the 4g connection is weak. I asked if the staff can help me adjust the language of indrive fr Arabic to English but he said he can't help, but i made it at last.

Casa Loko is like an oasis away from the madness of busy Luxor. The apartments are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The excellent Wolf restaurant is also delivered to the door so you can just chill after a busy touristing hot day.

We had a fantastic time at the wonderful Casa Loko. Mohamed and the team were very helpful with our family holiday, which included 2 young children, ourselves and my two older parents. 6 in total. The food ordered at the restaurant (Wolf) and delivered by Mohamed's team to our lovely apartment on a couple of evenings was delicious. Even my picky kids loved the pasta sauce! Egyptian food was amazing. I'm vegetarian/fish and had good options. The location was perfect. So quiet, very safe, friendly. The view was outstanding. 10 minutes to the Dock to get a boat over to Luxor for 100 Egyptian for all of us. The temples are all within walking distance from Luxor. The best thing about being on the West bank was how close we were to the Valley of the Kings, Queens, Nobels, Hatshepsut Temple, Howard Carter House, plus the amazing hot air balloons etc etc. So much to do and you can get a taxi directly there rather than do expensive guided trips, which didn't suit our group as that level of detail was too much for the kids. Quite nice to listen in to the odd guide as they walked past we found, without the kids getting bored. Mohamed offered trips like hot air balloon and all the other trips as well at a good price. It was amazing to get up very early to be 10 minutes to sites and there for openings. Very quiet before 9 am. Then heading home when it was hot by lunchtime (in February). Then relaxing in the Pool with some fab inflatables. I really recommend getting a little boat directly to Karnak Temple (slightly further north on the east bank) which we paid 300 Egyptian for. We avoided all the hassle (we used Ahmed Kenawi's boat loads as he and his brother spoke perfect English and showed us exactly where to go. I'm sure lots more speak English, but he also had a taxi which was helpful (he's on trip advisor). So grateful to have picked the perfect spot with the most wonderful host. Thank you to everyone for the superb apartment.

Nothing, it was perfect. Breakfast is expensive for what it is. Lots of lively places on the river front if you want a view and stunning huge breakfast instead. Not sure if Wolf do it too. But was handy for some days.

Casa Loko is an extraordinary, egyptian-swiss guesthouse. It ist located just a few minutes from the local center of the west-bank village of Luxor and also near to main sites such as Valley of Kings. The apartments' are of European standard. The nice garden yard has a small, wonderful clean pool and a bath is extremely refreshing! A hidden Juwel.

This family run facility was beyond our expectations. It is fully equipped will all necessary utilities. Whenever we needed any help about our stay and travel, Mohammed and Ibrahim were always ready to help. We stayed as family there and enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to come back.

Overcharged transfers breakfast etc. - was disappointed by the service and felt scammed. There is no reason decent prices cannot be charged as this does not prevent the team from getting commissions.

Convenient location to reach by taxi from the airport, one step inside and it instantly feels like the rest of the city doesn't exist. Pretty dining area and attentive staff. We had breakfast and dinners in front of the swimming pool. Nice food too!

I've stayed in a few places on the West Bank and this was hands down the best. Spotlessly clean with great facilities (the pool is particularly welcome after a tour) and outstanding hosts. It's only a 10 minute walk to the public/private ferries but a million miles away from the felucca, horse & cart and souvenir touts and is the perfect place to stay if you like to sample real life (take a walk through the fields, the farmers are very friendly) as well as a little luxury. Small shops for essentials are a short walk and Wolf restaurant for excellent home cooked food is next door but one. Thank you Mohamed, Daniel, Manuela and Ibrahim, we'll be back!

The travel agency couldn't find the location. Obviously, nothing to do with the host, Egyptians have issues with locations and directions if they don't know where it is.

One of the best hotels we stayed at during 2 months in Egypt! Mahmoud and Mohammad were the absolute best hosts-- they organised drivers, an early AM airport transfer, delivered dinner and shisha to us on the rooftop most nights, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The apartment was nice enough to live in and we felt so comfortable here after travelling rather non-stop for several weeks-- 5 days wasn't enough! The location is in a very local part of the West Bank, away from any tourist bustle but still 15min walk to the river where you can get a ferry across to the temples for about 25egp per person. Would 1000% recommend and will definitely stay again next time we're in Luxor!!

Wonderful family run business. They are keen to look after your needs. They can arrange drivers, etc. The facility is new and of high quality. We had a bedroom with king bed, large closet and balcony. There is a large living room/kitchen and a bathroom with a great hot shower. The pool and gardens are beautiful. There are two large tables where you can have their excellent breakfast. They will also order in suppers from the very good Wolf restaurant next door.Go out the entrance door, turn left and walk for ten minutes to the second grocery store you see . They have great fresh baked bread. Not much further along you reach the Nile and can take a boat across.

Casa Loko is a special place, an oasis of relaxation in a village near Luxor. The owners are very kind and ready to satisfy every need. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Luxor!!

Calm stay in this new hotel, we were alone. Ibrahim has been very helpful to organize our different tours and activities. Excellent restaurant next door (Wolf), probably the best we had in Egypt.

Originally, we planned to rent bicycle to move around, but the temperature in July were so hot that we abandoned this idea. So all our moves were on foot, and the hotel is a bit far from everything.

Apartments are very comfortable with good working AC. Reliable wifi. Nice pool and rooftop. At first, staff was kind and available for any needs.

The relationship with the staff did change however, after I started booking transports on my own. Sunrise breakfast was no longer offered before our activities and the demeanor became colder. They even confronted the driver (whom they connected me to on the first day) and belittled him in front of us multiple times, throwing us under the bus which made us very uncomfortable. Also, we ordered lite breakfast snacks five out of the seven mornings but when we went to pay the bill at checkout, they had charged us the full breakfast (which is much more expensive and includes many additional items that we didn’t receive). They did revise the bill once we pointed it out.

We are so happy that we found this wonderful gem of a place! It's spacious, clean and they have really thought of all the small details to make sure guests have a wonderful stay! In addition, the team Mohamed and Ibrahim are absolutely amazing! They welcome you as if you are family, and immediately make you feel comfortable. The property is exactly as per the photos and it is so well cared for that it looks new. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to have a memorable stay!

The guest house is located in a quiet rural area which allowed us to get a sense of village life. At the same time, it’s a short walk to the ferry which takes you to the hustle and bustle of the east bank. The apartments in the guest house were spacious and the pool area offered the space to relax after a morning of sightseeing. Above all, Mohamed’s warmth, friendliness and support ensured this was the perfect vacation. He helped with arrangements when we wished but without any pressure.

Undoubtedly the highlight of our time in Egypt. We came as guests and left as family. The welcome and the care taken of us was incomparable - from being collected from the station to having dinner with Muhammad and his lovely family at his home, our experience was faultless. The hotel itself is excellent- clean, well located and with all the amenities you could want including a well equipped kitchen. Muhammad organised trips for us and took us to the major sights. There is absolutely nothing more you could ask for. Staff were kind and helpful and shared their time and culture with us. Thanks to Ibrahim who was gracious and caring and to Khaled for his help and warm smile. If you are thinking of visiting Luxor, you need not look anywhere else.

The pool area was clean & there are heaps of beds to lay on. The apartment is big , there is a lot of room and not cramped. It is a close location to Valley of the Kings and the ferry to the east side is a 10-15minute walk from the property. The staff are super lovely and will help you with everything and anything you need during your stay!

There aren’t many options for food in the area. The hotel does offer meals.
