Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and location was close to Downtown and easily walkable. Judy was very friendly and helpful. Property had lots of character and our room was very clean and cozy.

The property was so cute and farm house chic kind of vibes. It was walkable to the shops and restaurants, perfect location.

The windows outside the carriage house could use a clean but had a nice view of the river and the woods.

The historical aspect of the property was great. Very interesting artifacts and pictures in the apartment. The view of the Grand river from our window was wonderful too. The host was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the history of the house and community. Bed was comfortable and clean and kitchenette was well stocked with essentials.

While the view of the river was great it was obscured by dirt and debris on the outside of the windows. There were still dishes in the drying rack in the kitchen which I put away and coffee left in the pot and old grounds and filter paper left from previous guest. While the host was very informative she did not communicate the time or location of the breakfast nor was any information in the apartment or on the web site. When I called the next morning at about 10:15 I was told breakfast had already been served (7:30-9:30). She offered to make up something “quick” but because I am gluten free (I had already stated that in the original booking and she had replied that wouldn’t be a problem) and we needed to leave shortly. I feel this lack of information or assumption that we should know breakfast protocol affected our overall impression of this B & B.

We were delighted that the host was happy to provide us with lovely vegan breakfasts! Thank you for this, it made for a great start to each day. The location was perfect for walking into the centre of town. We loved the history of the house and the character of the decoration.

We arrived around 10-11 PM but Judy was still there to welcome us personally and hand over the keys. She served us breakfast the next day and was great to talk to.

Easy to find, smooth check-in process, and the Host was very friendly. Superb breakfast in the morning - you will not leave hungry! Will definitely stay again!

The breakfast was simple but good. The operator was easy to talk to a provided a guided tour of this unique property.

The step out of the room needs to be replaced. Very awkward uneven step that needs to be replaced asap. It would be very treacherous in the winter. Part of the facility heritage but not up to code for a public accommodation. The room was a little cluttered with decor.

We loved the apartment, its style and confort. The lady owner is very very nice.

Wow what can I say, the host was amazing from start to finish. We stayed here for one night in late August 2024. Judy met us at the door and showed us around. As we had travelled a lot during the day I couldn't provide an arrival time but this was not a problem for our wonderful host. She made up beds for the kids and absolutely nothing was a problem. Things got even better as she was retiring to her home, she asked if we were hungry, which we were. So she gave us a freshly baked homemade cannelloni. It was delicious. the 4 of us slept very well. In the morning we came through for breakfast also delicious. She asked us when we wanted to leave and as we were at a wedding later that day she told us to stay as long as we liked and even let us use her pool. Overall if you are ever in Paris, ON this place is a must. Oh, and Judy makes the best butter tarts. Thank you so much.

Beautiful house. Loved the history of the place. Great location. The host Judy is so friendly.

Beds were comfortable with good linens. Well stocked kitchenette and bathroom, big fridge, bathroom was modern and nice.

Lots of cobwebs around sconces and chandeliers, bathroom floor was quite dusty near the vent. The hostess was very talkative about subjects of her own choosing without giving us space to eat and she was not informative about needing to book breakfast (included), not offering food choices. I'd recommend a laminated sheet to outline helpful information about breakfast, not leaving the apartment without the key as it self locks etc. When we were locked out, the hostess used a secret bookcase to enter our apartment from the main house, which was creepy to realize we weren't as secure as we thought.

Everything! The hostess is amazing! The place has a lot of history which she gladly explained to us. The room and the facilities were great, very comfortable.

There were a few little touches which could have been added into an otherwise perfect room: nicer toilet paper (~charmin) always makes me feel appreciated. There were waffles but a little bottle of maple syrup would have made my late night snack special!

Judy was friendly and attentive, a great host! She was kind enough to find us more blackberries when our picky eating toddler decided he didn't want any of the amazingly delicious breakfast - except blackberries.

The room was very nice, with an excellent view, super clean and warm. The host was exceptionally nice. The property has so much history and the host is a wonderful storyteller.

Historical house, private housing room walk to amenities. Paris has a nice little downtown of mom &pop shops with great service and deals. Homemade breakfast with great tasting coffee served in silverware and china matching the house history. Hostess took the time to talk to us about he house, it's renovations and baking,

The studio suite was so comfortable, cozy and decorated so beautifully! And so private looking at the river and trees. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed. Breakfast, made by Judy, was wonderful….so tasty and all the breakfast foods we like. We were so pleased to be able to enjoy breakfast in her historic home and enjoy the antique setting and beautiful decor. Thank you Judy for being a great host.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Breakfast was awesome, the beds very comfortable. Very cozy room with wing chairs, fireplace and a good size tv. Also a full size refrigerator

I cannot say enough about how lovely our stay was. Judy met us and showed us our suite, she was a truly a super host. She made tea and sandwiches while we relaxed our sore and tired selves after a long day of travel and walking. We were surprised and delighted with all her homemade goodies and treats ! The effort she has put into the property and rooms really shows, no detail even a small thing was overlooked. I can't wait to visit again and I hope my travels take me in the Paris direction soon.

The truth is, there is nothing I didn't like. The thought and effort of those small details made for perfection. You need to hang a towel to dry, there's a hook. You need a clean towel, there's a stack. You forgot shampoo, she put a big bottle in bathroom. You want to hang your sweater before you crawl into that fabulous bed, there's a hook for it. Extra blankets, extra pillows, real ground coffee and fresh cream in the fridge. I could go on and on. Nothing was overlooked.

Judy is an excellent hostess. Our flat was perfect for my son and I. He slept on the sofa bed and I had the bed. Both were very comfortable. It was very clean and cozy. Our breakfasts were delicious. We would gladly stay here again. Thank you so much Judy!

Breakfast was amazing. Was always something new everyday. My room faced the trees with the river peeking through the trees. Kinda felt like a tree house for all u saw was the trees

The apartment unit was beautiful with all amenities and kept in the period of the heritage home. Lots of space and very private. Judy was a perfect host/conversationalist. We had a full breakfast in the sunroom of French toast, sausage, 3 fruits, Paris tea, coffee and juice. Would love to return for Tea on the Grand. (High tea). Judy makes delicious smelling scones. Next time. We highly recommend this B&B.

I cannot say enough about the cozy, comfortable accommodations at The Carriage House. The daily breakfast delivered to my door was such a treat- Judy baked me a delicious Apple strudel one morning, and even packed me a to go box for me to munch on at the airport the day I flew out! I found the location to be just perfect- one side overlooks the river, and it’s an easy walk to downtown. I throughly enjoyed sipping tea and watching some Netflix in front of the fireplace- It was so cozy I didn’t want to leave. What a gem of a place, I hope to come back some day. Thank you, Judy❤️

The unit is spacious and was well located for access to downtown.

There is almost no soundproofing between the flat and the owners kitchen(?) so if people were in there, I heard everything. I think the place has changed hands quite recently.

Cozy and Comfortable, my kids loved it.

The breakfast was great and Judy was very informative. She cares about preserving history and fighting for justice. There aren't too many left like her who put their time and emerging into preserving a memory of the past instead of just destroying and building modern condos to make money.

I couldn't get the Keurig coffee maker to work. I could have asked but we were leaving soon and Judy had already made us coffee for breakfast so it wasn't a big deal.

Judy and Rick's place is wonderful! Clean, spacious, comfy and walkable to downtown restaurants and services. Check-in was very easy and breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at the Carriage House Flat.

Having a full hot breakfast delivered to our room was a real enjoyable experience, more than we had expected. The room was very comfortable and more than adequate in size. The property is located within a 10 minute walk of central Paris

What a wonderful place to stay. The host is absolutely lovely, so welcoming. The room is amazing and excellent value for money. Very comfortable and spacious. The location is brilliant, a very quick walk to the town.
