Doolin Farm Apartment

Peaceful & comfortable. Owner Geraldine was friendly and kindly left us a few provisions. A lovely spot. Loved the donkey.

Wir haben die Tage im Doolin Farm Appartment sehr genossen - ein guter Mix aus Ruhe und Aktivität. Geraldine hat uns herzlich empfangen und bereits Scones, Milch und Obst besorgt. Bei Fragen hatte sie stets wertvolle Tipps zur Erkundung der Gegend bereit. Bei der Abreise hatte ich meine Rucksack vergessen und sie setzte alle Hebel in Bewegung, uns zu erreichen - nochmals ein GROSSES Dankeschön dafür! Die Zimmer sind groß, die Betten bequem, das Bad hell und freundlich und alles sehr sauber. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts, sogar Waschmaschine und Trockner stehen bereit, falls nötig. Die Lage des Hauses ist etwas abseits des Trubels, der Doolin besonders am Abend und Wochenende beherrscht. Der Ort ist mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten erreichbar, zu Fuß braucht man zum ersten Pub ca. 25 Minuten, zur Ortsmitte 5 Minuten länger.

Es gibt absolut keine Kritikpunkte - gerne wieder!

Geraldine ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin. Esswaren wirklich alles vorhanden, sogar Milch, Obst und Brot stand als Willkommensgruß bereit. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Sehr ruhig.

Die Gastgeberin ist sehr zuvorkommend. Sie hat uns sogar Obst, Eier und ein selbstgebackenes Brot bereitgestellt. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geräumig, voll ausgestattet und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Als Bonus gibt es Kühe und Esel Dominique vor dem Küchenfenster. Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Nous avons été accueillis personnellement par Geraldine qui vit juste à côté : le feu était allumé dans la cheminée, pain "maison" et fruits frais sur la table, placards bien garnis, un hébergement incroyable! Geraldine allumait le feu chaque soir avant notre arrivée et venait y veiller si l'on devait s'absenter. Une belle rencontre! Ce logement est très bien situé pour visiter le Burren ainsi que pour se rendre sur les îles d'Aran. Le pub voisin est très sympa et bien sûr propose de la musique Live. Un séjour inoubliable! Geraldine is a treasure. Very sweet people, incredibly hospitable for a self-serve Air BnB. They even left me a loaf of homemade bread - I can’t get over how great it was, too! This is where you want to stay if you want an actual home-apartment in the countryside instead of staying in a BnB, more executive type stay. Incredible country stay! Thank you! VB

The only thing I hated was that the washer is older and would not flush when I had it spin, so I cleaned up the water with towels when I got my clothes out. Aside from that - very secure. I’m glad they’ve got a one way camera focused on the road, it gives privacy but added security without being intrusive or overbearing.

Location was gorgeous, breakfast was simple, but lovely. The apartment was HUGE and squeaky clean! Loved Dominique the donkey. Geraldine was the best! She made up a fire for us to come back to in the evening, and gave us all sorts of recommendations and advice for traveling in the area, what to see and where to eat. Just generally a lovely person to have a conversation with.

This was an immaculate stay! The place was warm and welcoming just like the host, the location was beautifully tucked away but easy to get to with the car and was close to Doolin and all the places we wanted to go hiking during our trip. Coming home every evening to a lit fire was a perfect touch and we really enjoyed all the fresh provisions provided for us. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again!

Peaceful Location in countryside and only a 1 minute drive to the main road where you could easily walk to most places - including good coffee and wine at Russel’s Seafoods. Handy to have a washing machine and cooking facilities.

Only thing is that I prefer a soft mattress and pillows.

Had a wonderful few days in the house and Geraldine was so welcomimg , nothing was a problem . Beautiful wood burning stove in the living space and she seven had it lit for me one evening ( weather in June still cold !! ) The house has everything you need for a stay in Doolin , quiet and relaxing and the beds were super comfy . Would highly recommend .

It was a fully equipped apartment, very comfortable. The host bent over backwards to make sure we had everything and had a nice warm fire going at the end of the day. Breakfast was provided, the setting was stunning on a farm with cows and a donkey and it was so quiet. I would highly recommend!

Geraldine is a wonderful host, providing a range of goods (eg homebaked bread) for us to avail of, over the weekend. A very welcome surprise!

So very peaceful and yet so convenient to the Doolin pubs and the ferry to the Cliffs of Moher and Inishmore.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I've stayed in. It was well-appointed, quiet, spacious, and very clean. Homey without being cluttered. Beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for breakfast and basics (spice, oil) for cooking other meals. The host, Geraldine, was exceptional and laid a peat fire for us each night. I had trouble with setting the water temperature in the shower. Other than that the stay was perfect and we did not want to leave. Would 100% recommend and stay again. There is a convenience store at the gas station a couple km from the town, but If you plan to cook meals I recommend grocery shopping before going to Doolin. Had an excellent salmon dinner at McGann's pub and a great lunch at The Ivy Cottage. The Farm Apartment is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk from town. Have a flashlight (or phone flashlight) if you walk back at night to be visible to cars on the narrow road.

Casa molto accogliente, pulitissima, letti molto comodi, bagno spazioso. Geraldine ci ha fatto trovare il fuoco acceso al nostro arrivo e la cucina era fornita di tutto: latte, succo di frutta, acqua, te, caffè, cereali, marmellata, frutta, uova, pasta, tutti i condimenti e quant'altro necessario. E' stato il soggiorno più bello di tutta la nostra vacanza itinerante, comodissima per visitare le Cliff of Moher e per le isole Aaran. Bella la casa, bello il paesaggio intorno, bella la pace che si respira, ma soprattutto la gentilezza squisita di Geraldine che ci è rimasta nel cuore. Grazie di tutto, speriamo proprio di tornare

Absolutely fabulous Apartment, couldn't have wished for more. The cottage was spotlessly clean and warm, the beds were very comfortable and it was very well stocked by Geraldine. The location is perfect too, close enough to Doolin village and surrounding activities and far enough away from the holiday crowd. We found Geraldine to be a very warm and thoughtful host. Couldn't recommend it more.

Geraldine is a lovely friendly host and the apartment had absolutely - and I mean ABSOLUTELY everything you could want or need. A very cosy place with plenty of space and room and a lovely walk into Doolin. We will certainly be returning.

Cosy, clean and comfortable cottage, in lovely rural location near the sea and Doolin. Geraldine was wonderfully helpful and friendly, leaving us eggs, fruit and scones for breakfast; and helping us with directions. We didn’t have time to make the most of seeing the surrounding area, but we really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return. R & A

Fantastic location if visiting the Cliffs of Moher— less than a ten minute drive. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need, including a warm and cozy wood stove that was prepared for us upon arrival. The host, Geraldine, is so kind and lovely— we look forward to visiting again!

If you want to feel at home, stay here. Not only is this a fantastic place to stay, but Geraldine takes incredible care of you. It's spacious and extremely clean with a full kitchen. 2 bedrooms, full bath and laundry room. Private. Experiencing a peat fire in the wood stove was something that would make you want to return for.

Host was really friendly, house was spotless with very comfortable beds and excellent facilities. Lovely home-made brown bread left for us. Host was easy to contact and flexible with check in time. Would highly recommend.

The Doolin Farm was exactly what you need when traveling abroad. It is a home away from home filled with comfort and tranquility. The home is fully stocked with essentials and Geraldine is only a phone call away from helping your stay be perfect. The location is ideal if you're looking for fun adventures into Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and Galway. We highly recommend anyone stay at the Doolin Farm if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the cities and in much need of some peace and quiet.

We liked the cleanliness of the space. Geraldine had some basic food items for us and had the fire going upon arrival and when we came back in the evening. It was a great place to stay - hope to come back!

I loved the peat fireplace and it was so nice having a kitchen and laundry! It felt like home. The host, Geraldine, has done a great job of stocking the place with all manner of items one might need!

This property is a real gem put together by Geraldine who is so welcoming. Its decor was similar to mine. Soft greys. Prints and other interesting wall additions. Comfortable furniture in living area. There was a nice brunch collection of fruits and scones with the best Italian espresso coffee. The shower was great. Warm and gentle. Bed was so warm. Cows and a mule provided outside interest. Beautiful rolling hills. Weather was dicey so I was happy relaxing and reading. I had the whole place to myself but there was another bedroom for additional family or friends. Geraldine started peat fires for me in the little furnace. Good food choices in Doolin. Geraldine was a joy to talk to. Book early as she fills up fast!

La posizione era ottimale per visitare le Isole Aran e le Scogliere del Moher . La casa era immersa nel verde irlandese, circondata da prati verdi, confortevole e dotata di tutto. La sig.ra Geraldine era sempre disponibile e attenta alle nostre necessità. Ci ha accolto con dolcetti e il necessario per le nostre colazioni. Non mancava proprio niente! Ottimo soggiorno, consigliato per passare una bella vacanza!!!

Lovely views in all directions - very quiet. The apartment was well set up and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Geraldine was a wonderful and thoughtful host - nothing was too much trouble and we cannot thank her enough.

The scenery was beautiful. Geraldine was an excellent owner to the place, who had it in great condition!

Absolutely everything ! Geraldine was amazing, kind and funny and helpful and went out of her way to make our stay so wonderful, We felt so welcomed and looked after, we were sorry we didn't stay for longer! Plus I had the best sleep I've had in years as the bed was so so comfortable and cosy. When we arrived Geraldine has left milk, bread, juice, eggs and some delicious strawberries for us, which we thought was a lovely thing to do, when we went walking to the town, which is only a mile away, Geraldine made sure we wouldn't get wet and went into her own house to get two umbrellas for us, which we didn't even have to use as the weather stayed sound 😊 Highly recommend Geraldine and her place 💯 we were sorry to leave.

Geraldine was the hostess with the mostest. Not only did she provide bread, scones, eggs, milk and juice, she made sure we understood how to use every appliance, the outlets and the heating system. Absolutely spotless. Only place in Ireland the beds had a top sheet! Within 5 minutes driving to great pubs, 15 to the Aran Island ferry, but the farm setting was totally peaceful.

Extremely clean. Geraldine was a gracious host, attentive, provided scones,eggs , milk juice and fruit AND we arrived back each evening with the fireplace lit to warm us up from the wild and rainy weather. Lots of cozy room to spread out. And there's a donkey out front!

Very comfortable for 4 adults, clean and quiet , owner very pleasant and available if required. Well stocked in kitchen and other areas , parking was easy and available. Country farm house very enjoyable, relaxing and easy to get into Doolin in a short 5-10 minute drive, you do require a car. Great location to visit the Moher cliffs and boat tours. Thanks again for memorable stay in Doolin at a great farm accommodation.

About 4 mins drive from Doolin village. Quaint location. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Owner had left a nice touch of milk, tea, coffee etc which was so appreciated.

This was our favourite stay in all of Ireland. Very well equipped and spotless. Geraldine was lovely and she made us feel at home. The surrounding area was beautiful and we saw the Cliffs of Moher clear as day. Highly recommend staying here. Having the well equipped kitchen was wonderful after travelling for 2 weeks. I can’t say enough about this little gem.

The farm apartment was spotless! We were met upon arrival with a warm fire and shown the apartment which was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything needed to cook, along with some eggs, milk, juice and scones!

Geraldine is an excellent host. We arrived early to attend a wedding in Doolin and she allowed us to check in early to change and freshen up. She provided us with fresh scones which were very welcome with a cup of tea after a long drive.

The apartment was great Geraldine was very on top of things and we had eggs bread butter sugar coffee milk to say only a few thing on arrival.beds very comfortable kitchen well equipped with everything needed good channels on tv and a lovely warm stove was a bonus.

Great place to stay everything you need for a comfortable break. Lovely fire lit for us when we arrived and so warm and cosy. I have stayed here before and will return again in 2025. Geraldine makes you feel at home once you arrive.

Just everything...Beautiful cottage. Quiet, on top a hill, could see in all directions. Lots of room. Everything furnished very nicely. Full kitchen if you wanted to cook. The kitchen was supplied with teas, coffees, eggs, bread, milk and various other supplies. Washer and dryer (which we needed as we had just finished a week-long hike). Cows and a donkey to keep you entertained. The owner was kind and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed. I would say, you should have a car as it is not right in town.
