Art Deco No. 2 Apartment

Like where it was and close to the ferry for our early crossing It was clean and had everything we needed 🙂

We never received the email with instructions on how to get in. The phone number was’invalid’. We had to pay for alternate accommodation. Not happy.

We had a truly excellent stay. The accommodation is beautifully decorated in an Art Deco style and was absolutely immaculate on arrival. Every room felt thoughtfully put together, and the little touches throughout made it feel both stylish and welcoming. The two-bedroom layout was perfect for our stay, and it was clear the hosts take great pride in maintaining the property to a very high standard. What really made the experience stand out was the exceptional hospitality. The hosts kindly allowed us to drop our bags off early and check out later at no extra cost, which made our travel plans much easier. They also went above and beyond when we accidentally left a necklace behind—making the effort to get it to the train station so it could be returned before our departure. Such thoughtful and generous service is rare. We’re incredibly grateful and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. A perfect stay from start to finish.

We liked everything about this place. Unit 2 was a real treat. Breakfast foods were provided. A bonus. Washing machine was great to have. Good shower. Comfortable beds. And, I just loved the china in the unit. None of your ordinary everyday white plate. It did my soul good to stay here and we wished it could have been longer.

No faults at all. We have been on the move for three weeks and wished more accommodation had been like this.

The location was in the perfect spot for us getting off in the evening after being on the ferry. We were able to check in through communication with the property without anyone needing to be on site. We were close to everything we needed and had a car park. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The heater was on to warm our apartment when we arrived. Meant a lot on a cold night. The bed was very comfortable and warm. The furnishings were delightful and matched the art deco theme. We loved it.

It was very nicely decorated, very clean and it made you feel at home away from home. Nice touches like frozen toast in the freezer for a quick breakfast. We stayed in apartment 3 (same complex) no comparison.

The tv was a little difficult to figure out. Lots of pillows - not my cup of tea.

Really lovely interior in keeping with the art deco vibe. It was so close to the main area and was a lovely apartment to stay with family. The decor is beautiful. Having some condiments and bread in the freezer is such a nice touch and also tea coffee and milk etc. they also had washing powder. All of these little details make a big difference when you are travelling with kids etc.

Fantastic clean and well equipped

Sehr gemütliches und perfekt ausgestattetes Appartement in dem wir uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt haben. Die Küche und der Kühlschrank waren gut ausgestattet/gefüllt. Die Lage ist großartig, direkt im Zentrum von Picton, privater Parkplatz vorhanden. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Innenhof zum Sitzen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Leider haben wir nur eine Nacht dort verbracht, die Unterkunft ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Great central location. Close to the main tourist attractions and the Sound and restaurants and main street. The host was very generous providing essential food items and laundry facilities.

Could not see the view of the Sound from the accommodation but there was an area to sit and see the view in the complex

A real treasure. Enjoyed the decor and all the little touches. Well stocked with everything you need including bread and condiments in the fridge. Alot of thought and care went into presenting a lovely comphy place to stay. Enjoyed the fireplace .

It was very well equipped. Nice to have some basic food and kitchen supplies. Also comfortable, especially the beds. The location was excellent.

This is a charming apartment that is just a few minutes walk to the harbor and fine dining, with very comfortable beds and everything you need to enjoy a multi-day stay.

Setting the water temperature for the shower was a little tricky. But the shower was great with wonderful water pressure.

Location was excellent, across the road from the Picton wharf (& ferries to the Queen Charlotte track/Marlborough Sounds) as well as shuttle service to the Bluebridge ferry across to the Nth Island. Easy walking to supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The apartment was on the ground floor and came very well equipped with a full kitchen and cooking supplies including oil, condiments, butter, bread, milk and jams etc to make you feel ‘at home’.

The apartment was very well equipped, a real home from home. It was attractively furnished and right off the waterfront.

Excellent communication to find accm. keys to property, parking and very central to everything.

Absolument tout. Et si j'avais pu donner la notre de 11/10 je l'aurais fait. Tout était parfait. Je suis en NZ depuis 3 semaines, j'ai déjà été hébergé dans 9 établissements avant celui ci, et bien c'est le plus beau, confortable, pratique de tous. Je ne sais même pas par quoi commencer. J'étais dans l'appartement 2. qui est situé au rez de chaussée. Vue côté salon et une chambre sur le patio, la cuisine, SDB et autre chambre côté allée qui n'est pas passante. Parking avec son numéro de logement juste derrière. Porte d'accès au niveau du patio et du parking permettant de pouvoir charger et décharger ses bagages sans monter/descendre des escaliers. Echanges avec les hôtes efficaces, et un temps de réponse rapide. Instructions claires pour accéder au lieu et récupérer la clé dans son boitier. Arrivée dans l'appartement, je me suis tout de suite sentie bien ... comme à la maison. Décoration raffinée dans absolument toutes les pièces. Cuisine très bien équipée (tout pour cuisiner). Salle de bain spacieuse et avec tout le confort. Chambre avec un dressing et une literie très confortable. Chauffage permettant de ne pas avoir froid (ce qui en hiver en NZ est un élément important). Machine à laver et possibilité d'étendre son linge sur un étendage situé au niveau du parking. Mise à disposition dans le frigo de beurre/margarine, confitures, beurre de cacahuètes, et tranche de pain au congélateur de telle sorte de pouvoir faire les petits déjeuners (très agréable surprise puisque je ne m'y attendais pas car ce n'était pas mentionné). Idéalement situé, à proximité de toutes commodités et balades. On peut faire énormément de chose à pied. La ville offre plein de services (restaurant, bar, magasins, grande surface, buanderie). A 5 mns en voiture du ferry. J'ai vraiment eu du mal à partir tellement je m'y suis sentie bien.

Il n'y a absolument rien que je n'ai pas aimé. Je me permets juste quelques observations qui pourraient apporter un vrai plus : 1/ Peut être qu'une machine à laver qui fait séchage aussi serait bien 2/ Un petit tapis juste à l'entrée dans l'appartement pour laisser nos chaussures 3/ Modifier les photos du salon qui est bien mieux que sur les photos de Booking 😉

Location was good, within walking distance to downtown Picton. The inside of the unit was clean and comfy.

The listing is misleading. The photographs make it appear like it has a water view. It does not. The unit is on the ground floor at the very back of the complex with not only no view of the water, but no views at all. It is quite dark. Also, the listing says it has a microwave, but it did not. When I am traveling I really need a microwave.
