Reviewed Jul 17, 2026The property is perfectly located right on the coastline, with breathtaking ocean views. Enjoying the spectacular sunsets with a cup of coffee was one of the highlights of our stay, and we especially enjoyed seeing the tame cormorants and wild ducks around the property.
Although it was entirely beyond Jan's control, there was some daytime noise from construction work taking place on a neighboring property between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Despite this, we had a very pleasant stay and greatly appreciated the beautiful location and surroundings.

Bathroom and kitchen a bit dark on cloudy days, towels did not dry adequately for a 2 day stay, however a easy solve. Next door construction project is distracting due to early start.

The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into every detail, making it incredibly comfortable and inviting. The oceanfront setting is spectacular — I especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves just across the road. We hope to be back soon!

The view, the sound of the waves and the bunch of geese that often visited the frontdoor, was absolutely wonderful! The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is big and comfortable and the water is só hot! Truely lovely in the winter cold. We will return!

They need two bins, one for rubbish and one for recycling, and also let one know when to put bags out.

There is trellidoor before the sliding doors, so you feel safe and can sleep with the door open (if you want to). Nice homely touches when you arrive: Coffee, tea and sugar on the table. Small milk in the fridge. A charged lamp for load shedding. A solar night light in the bathroom. A hairdryer and a big mirror in the bathroom. The Key lock box outside is a great way of giving in your key.
Would have loved a type of seat outside to admire the great view. Even if it's a little bench built-in on the sides of the verandah to not obstruct the view.
