Without a doubt, the highlight is the incredible manager and staff. You feel like you are being welcomed home, each and every time you enter. From clean, well maintained rooms, to delicious meals and wonderful advice (even down to arranging a therapist appointment for my back issues which was fantastic), this IS the place to stay in Bodhgaya.

The proprietor of the Rajhat Maranao Hotel, Mr Sama Hassa is very friendly and spiritual. He helped us in every thing we asked ☺️🙏

It was wonderful to stay at Rajhat Maranao. The owner and staff are some of the kindest people I have met on this trip, and treated us so well while we stayed there. They let us check in early, and helped us with train transfers and Tuk Tuk tours. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the main temple. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty. Overall we had a great time in Bodhgaya and look forward to staying at Rajhat Maranao again. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a brilliant stay at Rajhat Maranao. The staff were the best part - they are so friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, freshly prepared and delicious - thank you so much! The property is really homely. The room was clean and comfortable, fantastic AC and comfy bed. We appreciated the little touches like water and toothbrushes. The location was great for us, down a quiet lane but walkable to everything. Shout out to the wonderful tuktuk driver who picked us up from the train station and took us to the airport, it was much appreciated.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, the breakfast was tasty with a good variety a fruit, and the staff were friendly and always willing to help. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience — I would definitely recommend it.

This was my fourth time staying at Rajhat Maranao, which in itself should speak for the quality of the hotel. The owner is an enormously generous and helpful man, the food is excellent (ah, those breakfasts!) and modestly priced, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is just a five minutes walk from the Mahābodhi temple. Good restaurants, kiosks, a pharmacy and a hospital are also within five minutes by foot.

Hot water was not available. Had to boil water in kettle. Room could have been cleaner, soot on floor next to windows which were covered in dust

The cleanliness, professional behaviours, location. My train was at 3 pm but I was allowed to stay as much as I want. It was truly helpful in this hot weather. Breakfast is balanced and good. Lunch,dinner can be bought from nearby restaurants. Overall, I enjoyed staying at Rajhat Maranao.

Best thing was it's location as it was very close to main temple of BodhGaya and market is just next door for any purchase and spending time. It was easy to reach any temple in surroundings because of it's strategic place. They also helped in getting transport facility when required.

Hospitality and food services were of my best choice. It was very homely along with some continental flavor. I would like to visit again in October 2025 for a family trip to Bodh Gaya.

Mostly very warm and respectable response from the host and feeling of belonginess was uttermost for my stay. I recommend this for family and friends as this is the safest environment in surrounding.

The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. The room amenities were nicely done, spacious, and rooms were very comfortable. and silent atmosphere.Room is basic and a little small. But Room are super clean.the room was spotless. Excellent bathroom, bathroom is so clean and complete with top -notch amenities. The sleep quality was excellent, and the mattresses felt like sleeping at home. Overall the hotel tariff is quite genuin and reasonably.,right in the city center , Mahabodhi Temple is about five minutes walk. The host is very decent from his tone of responses, the breakfast is being well prepared and delicious. Highly recommendable.Loved our time and will surely visit again.

Not a bad hotel… but there is NO PLANET on which this place is a 9.1 rating. How low must your standards be ?! The room was tiny - forget any table or surface, I had to move the chair under the sink just so I could have a place to exist that’s not on the bed- Forget light blocking curtains, forget a refrigerator, forget a blanket (just given a sheet that was actually just an empty duvet cover!). Still not a bad value for the money - but gauge the quality by the price, not by the rating: a 9.1 is no where close to reality.

It’s so good, I had to stay here twice in one week! Osama and his wife make staying at this hotel special. The cleanliness of the rooms, the food, and the amenities like A/C are all fantastic. I have attached some photos to hopefully give potential travellers a bit more guidance. Bodh Gaya is on a river bed and so mosquitoes are a massive issue in the town. However, at Rajhat Maranao, they are nonexistence. Truly a fantastic stay.

It's just a very neat and clean hotel and rooms. The staff were very helpful every room has a hot water kettle and you can make your own coffee or tea. And the location is just at the right place

Good location!

This was my first time staying place in India as solo female traveler. The outside of this guest house is low income area with full of garbage and recycling center is nearby. But only 5 min to walk to Mahabodhi temple. Always some tuk tuk taxi passing by. The owner was very kind and nice person which made my stay great with his worker. It was spark clean and good facilities. Will stay again.

The location is good, close to the airport. You can even walk, if you know the right way. But it can be tricky, so it's better to take a taxi for 150 Rs or something like that. I paid for breakfast and was promised to have it at 8 am. But I found the guy who promised me that sleeping deeply on the floor in the dining room. So, no breakfast at all!!! I paid for nothing!!! I was disgusted by this kind of approach.

The location was great - just a 5 minute walk to the Mahabodhi stupa, and my room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and kindly allowed me a very late checkout, as my train was departing in the evening.

Mr. Seyd and the staff at Rajhat Maranao made our stay in Bodh Gaya very comfortable and my wife and I both felt at home. The apartment is located on a quiet and safe street. It is conveniently located near the Mahabodhi temple (short walking distance) and easy to find transportation to other city attractions both in Bodh Gaya/Gaya. The location is good to access from both the Gaya airport and Gaya train station. The room and bathroom were very clean. We appreciated the provided amenities and room clean up on request. Mr. Seyd is a very kind and hospitable host, inviting us for tea and coffee at every encounter. We tremendously enjoyed our conversations with him. It is the perfect stay for your visit to Bodh Gaya.

We had an amazing 8-night stay at Rajhat Marano House, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the seamless pre-arrival arrangements to the warm hospitality throughout our stay, everything was well taken care of. Pre-Arrival & Check-in: The host helped arrange our airport transfer and transportation for two days of excursions, making our trip hassle-free from the start. Accommodation & Facilities: Our room was excellent—sparkling clean, well-maintained, and equipped with both AC and a fan, an attached bathroom, and all the basic amenities we needed. Accessibility was a plus, with an elevator available to reach our floor. Location & Surroundings: Rajhat Marano House is located in a peaceful neighborhood, yet it is conveniently close to everything. The Maha Bodhi Temple is less than 200m away (a 5-minute walk via the Bodhgaya Gov Hospital shortcut, accessible from 5 AM to 9 PM). Plenty of eateries—including cafes, food stalls, restaurants, and bakeries—are within the same walking distance, making it easy to explore the locals. Hospitality: The host was incredibly attentive and helpful with all our requests, making us feel right at home. What made our stay even more special was the host’s warm accommodation of our interest in local delicacies, which led us to privately name our favorite food gathering spot as “Osama Kitchen.” The highlight of every meal? A humble yet comforting cup of chai, never failing to delight us! Overall, Rajhat Marano House provided a wonderful stay with top-notch hospitality, great location, and excellent accommodations. I was reached Bodhgaya in the morning 5 am. They accepted my early check in request and my room was ready at 5.30 am. At no extra. Staff ready to help. Their breakfast was good and healthy. Very good location for visiting Mahabodhi temple. On my checkout day they arranged a tuktuk for Railway station and packed my breakfast.

The owner, Rajhat, was very friendly and welcoming- he even arranged our tuktuk transfer from Gaya to Bodhgaya which went smoothly without a hitch. It was much appreciated as we were able to avoid the shouting tuktuk men at the station entrance. The rooms are clean, comfortable and tranquil - overall a serene place to rest your head whilst visiting Bodhgaya. .

We absolutely loved everything about Rajhat Maranao House!! From the location, which is close to everything you could want, the temples, shopping, great food and so much more! Everyone was so kind, welcoming, helpful and understanding as we are learning the ways and customs.. The House was very very clean, warm and inviting, the bed was extra comfortable as we slept so good! The water was hot and amazing water pressure! And they made us delicious food!! Over all we will definitely be back and just loved our stay!! The owner is shines in kindness, compassion and service, he helped us in so many ways! Thank you for everything!!!

As a backpacker, I travel to India in winter this time and RAJHAT MARANAO House has very stable warm water for shower, which is so much appreciated. Besides, the room is spacious enough for one and very clean with everything I need. What’s more, the meals served are home-made and very well organized and balanced, which is very good for health and satisfactory. Mostly importantly, the host is very decent and hospitable with very nice English capacity and being very helpful when I ask for support. I feel like home for my stay here with 2 nights. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bodh Gaya.

The staff are very welcoming, accommodating and friendly, the room was clean and warm and there was hot water in the shower - much needed during the colder time of the year. Bonus the playful cats that also live here! Everything about my stay here was perfect, and would choose the same hotel if I return to Bodh Gaya.

The location is perfect. It’s on one side of the mahabodhi temple and there’s a direct path behind the temple without the craziness of the Main Street. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the temple. Plenty of places to eat around and you can get tuktuks right outside the hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They even helped me book a reliable taxi back to the airport. They always made sure I was comfortable and were willing to help with anything. Highly recommended!!!

Property is difficult to locate for the first timer

one of use was ill during our stay and the owner went above and beyond to make sure were were cared for, even providing medication and advice. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk from the Mahabodhi temple. It was surprisingly quite for its central location. Extensive menu & excellent breakfast.

The hospitality was the most amazing thing i observed from this hotel. person at the reception was very kind and helpful. They did gave directions to us as we requested the places we wanted visit. They didn't interfere to our journey directions were provided whenever we request. other things are quite great( 5⭐ )and i recommend to all pilgrims who are going to visit bodhgaya.. place is quiet and calm too..food was delicious and very tasty..

Fantastic hotel with a homey feel. The owner and staff are very friendly, always offering refreshments or assistance. Room was spotless and modern. Location is excellent, easy walk to Mahabodhi Temple as well as restaurants and the market. Property feels safe with cameras and recessed entrance. Hot water sometimes slow to come

Confirming with many reviews that Osama and Asma(his lovely wife) are the best hosts you could ever have. The hotel and service totally beyond my expectations. Spacious clean room and bathroom, perfect bed with fast WIFI. I can contact with the Host all the time since before arrival until you leave the accommodation. He can help you prepare every single step to make sure that your arrival will be safe and pleasance. If you have any problem regards the transportation from Bus/ Train stop or Airport to the accommodation, you just propose to the Host and he will manage any way to help you reach to the place easily. We always back to have dinner at the hotel and Asma always prepare the precious dishes for us. (Including some French dishes, YUMMY!!!) Plus, cats family there are all super cute. Every single moment staying there truly have the feeling of HOME to me. Definitely will be my only one recommend for Bodh Gaya place to stay for everyone I known.

Osama and his lovely wife are the best hosts you could ever have. The hotel totally exceeded our expectations! The room was perfect - very clean and comfortable! Lovely hot shower and clean bathroom! Osama was able to help us plan our itinerary in Bodh Gaya and make great restaurant recommendations - he even gave us a late-night tour of the town out of the kindness of his heart! He sorted our bike rental. He then made us a brilliant lunch at no extra cost on our final day! Could not recommend this hotel more highly!

The hotel is quite new. It was really clean and all basic necessities were provided, from hairdryer (requested) to toiletries to elevator to working AC. Water strength was strong and hot water is truly hot. The location was 5-10 minutes walk away from Mahabodhi Temple and 5 minutes walk from a pure vegetarian restaurant that sells Chinese Western and Tibetan vegetarian food. We were also able to get sumptuous vegetarian-friendly breakfast for a big group of us. Hotel staff were zealous and polite in their service as well.
