Bodhgaya Regency Hotel

The restaurant manager, Soorya Prakash Thakur, was exceptionally good, supportive, and honest. We truly appreciate his professionalism and the way he treated us. Overall, our experience during the stay was neutral.

Apart from the restaurant manager, Soorya Prakash Thakur and the reception staff, Mr Sumit Raj, we were not treated well by the other restaurant manager and some members of the staff.

Great rooms and bed

Pool wasn't very clean

We received an unexpected upgrade for our apartment, which made our stay very enjoyable. We really appreciated the gesture! The breakfast was also great, with lots of options and friendly staff.

Overall, everything was fine. However, if I had to mention one small thing to improve, the gym could have been a bit cleaner.

Total Falsehoods: Landmark view • City view • Bathrobe • Cleaning products • Minibar • Walk-in closet • Dryer Jackhammering made naps impossible, offered quieter room but nowhere escaped the sound. Unruly wedding guests and their children running up and down the hall yelling, management did nothing even after 10 pm. Pool had green water and surrounding area was generally uninviting.

It was a decent stay, at Buddhagaya Regency Room size, other facilities, cleanliness, staff support and food quality. Food prices are slightly higher, but a good one.

Pool was not clean

Rooms are spacious n bed comfortable. Restaurant served up great food (although portions too big for single person) in the evening.

It’s quite a sterile building n noise amplified in the corridor. No normally an issue unless, as was the case, a large wedding party were in residence so much movement n very noisy at times.

The hotel was at the higher end of the scale for hotels we experienced in India. Breakfast was good, evening meal was ok. Reception staff were helpful and very welcoming

We booked this hotel due to it having a swimming pool, we wanted a couple of days of relaxation at the end of our trip. There was not any seating or sun beds outside and the pool was green and dirty and not fit to use.

The ambience

The AC was not working. The housekeeping was not at par

We had two rooms. We were given top floor. No central AC. Only split AC in the rooms, which doesn’t work and the rooms were very hot. This I’m talking about a stay in early April, think of the plight in May - June. The services are poor. There were other guests who were thronging at the reception with complaints about AC. The staff is poorly trained.

The location of the property & the staff are amazing.

1.The timing of the restaurant (BF, LUNCH DINNER) are completely ad odds with normal Indian timings. It suits guests from the Far East nations. This sgould have been made clear in your advertisements and posts. We would have booked elsewhere. The food were mostly dead cold or remnants without any refurbishment during the time we had gone for our food and the attitude of the restaurant staff were brusque and almost rude. The varieties were very limited, mostly catering to the foreign nationals. 2. We were almost coerced by the restaurant staff for tips on the last day under the garb that their duty hoirs would be over by the time we checked out. 3. We were also coerced by security and bell boys for tips too under the garb that the tips paid at the reception for genral distribution do not reach them. They became grumpy. There must be a proper distribution of tips so that such demands at various points and such unsavoury behaviours are obviated.

The location n size of rooms are good.

Our stay was spoiled as the whole hotel was rented by a marriage party. The music and drumming was loud and was played till 1-2 am, because of which we could not get proper sleep for 2 nights. The hotel management should have informed us about the upcoming marriage party. Instead we were asked to pay whole amount at check in, leaving us with no option to change the hotel. We asked to change our room, but the other room was also on the same side as where the party was being held, so it was not a relief for us.In such case the hotel must inform its customers beforehand or offer a discount on room tariff as compensation.

The staff could have shown little more hospitality. They were ignoring for some basic questions such as what were the good tourist spots around, didn't provide working heater to my room when it was very cold.

Near Buddha gaya

Da localizacao, da simpatia dos funcionarios, e da facilidade de se poder almoçar e jantar.

Big, clean rooms, well stocked with all amenities, very comfortable beds and pillows, a super efficient, friendly staff and a large and delicious and breakfast spread! About 15 min walking distance to the Buddha temple, very centrally located. Great choice and value for money. We stayed for 5 days and were very glad we chose this hotel!

There is a central water heater but we would have liked an instant geyser in the bathroom.

マハーボディ寺院へ徒歩圏内（15分程度）であり、かつ騒々しいエリアからは少し離れて大仏に近い場所で落ち着いて宿泊できた。ペットボトルの水の提供あり。

部屋での飲酒禁止となっていたこと。セーフティボックスはない。バスタブにあるシャワーからはお湯が出ない。ロッカーに鍵が刺さっているが閉まらない。

Canteen meal recommends to change and mark the dishes name card for simple choices

Very nice experience. Clean spacious rooms peovided with all features. Complimentary buffet breakfast was really good and location wise it is next to Japanese temple. And mohabodhi temple is within 1 km.

Room was different than what was promised. In charge did not accomodate additional bed the way it was promised. Hot water facility was available only on request. Overall looks like it's overrated and high priced

the selection available is good and consistent. enjoyed the food a lot. lots of choices of beverages too.

as we stayed for more than 15 days , it would have been great if the food selection were rotated every few days

Místo je kousek od chrámu. Dostali jsme krásný a velký pokoj, vše bylo čisté a funkční. Personál na recepci byl milý, laskavý a vstřícný. Byli jsme rádi za dostatek prostoru na parkování.

Nerada si na něco stěžuji, ale jídlo v restauraci bylo hodně špatné. Ve snídaňovém bufetu bylo staré jídlo - oschlá papája, květák měl tmavě hnědou barvu, jídlo bylo studené. Personál byl ale milý, snažil se vylepšit dojem.
