Хорошее расположение, до самого лучшего пляжа острова Анс Лацио 15 минут пешком. Напротив апартаментов автобусная остановка. Аппартаменты не большие, но в них есть все необходимое для отдыха, оформлены в креольскои стиле, что было очень аутентично и с душой. Ронни очень гостеприимный и отзывчивый хозяин. Организовал нам трансфер из порта и обратно по приятной цене. Всегда откликался на просьбы, готовил завтраки. Рекомендуем.

Все было замечательно! Это действительно рай. Апартаменты соответствуют заявленным на фото, кухня оборудована всем необходимым, плита, холодильник, кондиционер все работает исправно. До лучшего пляжа Сейшел Ансе Лацио - 15 минут пешком, немного в горку, но если планируете брать автомобиль в аренду, то это совсем не проблема. Ближе к нему только на самом пляже. Простые завтраки, нам всего хватало. До магазина 10 минут пешком, в нем есть все необходимое. Если планируете пользоваться автобусом, то остановка в 50 метрах, можно сказать автобус подвозит к дверям. Ронни и его супруга были очень внимательны к нам. Однозначно рекомендуем.

Everything about this place was wonderful. Service was outstanding, breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, the AC cooled the entire unit (rare in the Seychelles), the location near Anse Lazio was perfect, and we especially appreciated having a washing machine to do laundry.

The owner is good 👍 He brought fresh fruits everyday and very good grill fish at the end of my stay

A szállásadó (Ronny) jó kapcsolattartó, kedves és segítőkész. Az apartman tágas volt, valójában sokkal jobban nézett ki a valóságban, mint amennyire a képeken. Komplett konyha minden felszereltséggel, hálószoba és nappali rész, kis fürdőszoba mosógéppel. Reggelit is kaptunk, ami ízletes volt. A tisztasággal se volt semmi gond.

A fürdőszobában a zuhanycsap egy meglehetősen magasan elhelyezett tekerős gomb volt, én alig értem el. Valójában vagy túl forró vizet tudtunk a zuhanynál engedni, vagy hideget, köztes állapot nemigen volt. Ha ezt a szállásadó megoldaná, a szállás kb tökéletes lenne.

The apartment was bigger and better than I expected from the photos WiFi was working fine Got a welcome smoothie and some bananas I asked for only fresh fruit for breakfast and after reconfirming it several times, I got it

There was noisy construction a few metres further but I was informed about it before coming. They had some used books available at the reception but when I asked if I could take one of them, the answer was no. Never happened to me at any other hotel around the world because reading a lot, I always exchange books at the accommodations I stay at or they just let me take one of those they have there from previous guests. Not sure how to explain but the vibe I got there was not the best

The location is very good. It is only a 20 minutes walk over the hill to Anse Lazio. The hosts are flexible and do everything to make you feel at home and comfortable. Once a week I got a wonderful fish dinner and also some local fruit. Also the hosts are very attentive and help you with everything you may need.

Spacious room. Simple in design but very functional. Big kitchen if everything we needed. Very nice and helpful host. Let us stay a bit longer and was very helpful. Simple but very tasty breakfast. Good location to Anse Lazio- only 1km on foot (or 3min by car but you have to pay 100SCR) which is too much in my opinion.

Все самодельное, но от этого не портится впечатление. Хозяин бесплатно угощал рыбой с салатом…очень вкусно, на одном ужине сэкономите. Рядом самый красивый пляж на свете, очень удобно. В номерах зонтики. Завтраки самые обыкновенные, но с душой. Номер гигантский!

Кровать немного твердая, но это на вкус.

Останавливаемся у Ронни уже второй раз. Все хорошо.Очень внимательный хозяин, любую проблему решает очень быстро. В комнате все есть, и кухня со всеми принадлежностями и посудой, и стиральная машина. Немного не справлялся кондиционер днем, но ночью было нормально. а днем нам Ронни принес вентилятор. Комнату убирали ежедневно. Wi-Fi работал отлично. Расположение в 20 мин от шикарного пляжа Анс-Лацио.

Более мощный кондиционер не помешал бы.

Hlavne prístup Ronnyho, Ronny bol starostlivý od začiatku po koniec mal všetko pekne zorganizované, čakal nás už v prístave s transparentom v ruke. Po ubytovaní nás zadarmo odviezol na najbližšiu pláž. Pripravil nám skvele raňajky (v cene ubytovania). Na konci pobytu sa nám prispôsobil s raňajkami a odviezol nás do prístavu už o 7 ráno, pričom oficiálne začínajú o 8.00. Proste za tie peniaze úžasná starostlivosť. Izba bola staršie zariadená, ale je tam fakt všetko: kanvica, hriankovac, veľká chladnička, dokonca plynový sporák s rúrou, práčka, sušič na vlasy, telka, klimatizácia, vybavenie kuchyne- príbory, noze, taniere a neviem čo všetko, lebo sme to ani nevyužili…🙂

Ak aj budete z niečoho chvíľku rozčarovaný, pri Ronnym na to hned zabudnete, lebo Ronny je skvelý človek 😀

Gyönyörű helyen elhelyezkedő kis vendégház, nagyon közel a sziget legszebb tengerpartjához. Rendkívül tiszta, rendezett és a tulajdonos a családjával rendkívül kedves, mindent megtesznek a vendègekèrt. Látszik szívük lelkük benne van ebben. Tökéletes reggeli, mindennap precízen kitakarított kis apartman. Ár-érték szempontból a tökéletes választás :) Transzfert is biztosítottak a komptòl, kis táblával vártak minket a kikötőben, de a programokra való eljutáshoz is az autó mindig patika állapotban állt a rendelkezésünkre. Utolsó este pedig grillvacsorával kedveskedett számunkra a házigazda, ami nagyon kedves volt nekünk! 🤗

Very nice villa and good location near Anse Lazio. The host Ronny was very welcoming, picked us up and brought us with a car everywhere we needed. We were also pampered with fresh fish for dinner, thank you very much. The room was clean and had all facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. Room service was great! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Симпатичный номер,в кухне есть все необходимое,рядом автобусная остановка,15 минут до хорошего пляжа,10 минут до магазина Хозяин организовал нам трансфер от парома до дома В следующий раз на Праслине будем у него останавливаться!

Основной плюс - близко к Анс Лацио, пешком минут 15. Автобусная остановка буквально у входа, удобно добираться с/до парома. На бижайший пляж Анс Будин не советую - там нас жестко покусали мошки. Зато от него можно быстро добраться на Курьез. Придете - спрашивайте Карлоса, он нам замечательно все организовал. На супермаркет не надейтесь особо - очень убогий ассортимент, высокий ценник, бегают тараканы. Брали у них только рис, консервы и ром. Где купить свежую рыбу - не видели. Хозяин доброжелательный, не навязчивый, сам ничего не предлагал. По причине отсутствия новых клиентов продлил время выселения до нашего отъезда.

Wir hatten ein riesiges Apartment mit großer Küche (neuer Gasherd inklusive Backofen, neuer großer Kühlschrank, Toaster, Wasserkocher, neue Töpfe, Pfanne etc), superbequemes großes Bett, 2 Kleiderschränke mit vielen Kleiderbügeln, Safe, TV, schöner Esszimmertisch, Wohnzimmer und normal ausgestattetes Bad mit Dusche. Ronny und seine Familie sind super Gastgeber und hilfsbereit in allen Bereichen. Jeden Morgen gab es leckeres Frühstück mit frischem Obst aus dem eigenen Garten. Villa Manoir liegt 15 Fußminuten vom Topstrand Anse Lazlo entfernt und 5 Fußminuten von wunderschönen Anse Boudin entfernt, der traumhaft schön zum schwimmen und schnorcheln ist (ideal für Kinder da keine Wellen ,und Strömung) und wir fast immer alleine am Strand waren. Wir haben die 9 Tage und die Ruhe dort so genossen, kein Lärm.

El personal es majisimo. Nos explicó todo, nos llevó un día gratis a la playa (Anse lazio) porque es mortal el camino, vaya cuestas. Nos hizo un zumo nada más llegar. El wifi era bueno y el aire acondicionado también

La almohada y el colchón es de lo peor en lo que he dormido. El alojamiento en si necesita un refuerzo. El desayuno se puede mejorar mucho. El último día nos dieron 3 rebanadas de pan con muy poca mantequilla, mermelada, un huevo duro y una loncha de queso de estas que van en plástico.

Хороший гестхаус, удобно расположен, на самый красивый пляж можно дойти пешком!! Недалеко магазин. Хозяин отеля Ронни сам написал нам, уточнил нужно ли встретить, по приезду на остров встретил на,с, привёз в отель, свозил в магазин, купили с ним карту транспортную, т к я не решилась управлять машиной ногористому серпантину, мы с удовольствием ездили на автобусах с водителями экстра-класса,. В гестхаус есть всё, что нужно... Кухня с техникой и посудой, мы готовили еду сами, Ронни нас угощал восхитительной рыбой Красной триглой., фруктами. Огромная благодарность за внимание и гостеприимство, перед отъездом подарил нам флаг Сейшел и сумочку, мы были очень тронуты.

Super disponibile il proprietario, ci ha praticamente fatto da tassista (a pagamento) per due giorni, molto gentile. La struttura è una guesthouse con tutti appartamenti separati, un po' datati nell'arredamento e molto umili, ma ottimi per un soggiorno breve e senza troppe pretese. La posizione è comoda per arrivare a piedi ad Anse Lazio (ma ci sono salite e discese) o in macchina, mentre è un pizzico lontana se non si ha la macchina e si vuole girare altre parti dell'isola. Comunque è proprio davanti al capolinea dell'autobus quindi ci si muove bene. La colazione offerta da loro è buona, servita al tavolo e non eccessiva nelle quantità. Due fette di pane, due uova, un succo di arancia, caffe.

Ronny is a great host. He had fresh juice for us at our arrival. He was always available and the room was super clean.

Unfortunately while we where there there was water restriction on the island. So the government turned out the water during the day and it was only available at unregulated hours. We had a tank for water during the day but it made it a bit more complicated. It would be great to have a mosquito net around the bed.

Matelas très dur, la batterie de cuisine sale(casserole et sauteuses grasses, très mal lavées, posées au dol sous l'évier. Logement très isolé, aucune restauration à proximité.. Logement très vieillot, restriction d'eau ( eau courante disponible uniquement quelques heures le matin et le soir). Système pour chauffer l'eau est dangereux attention l'eau sort brûlante la première minute. Rideau non occultant. Beaucoup trop cher pour ces prestations.

Комфортный гестхаус и чудесный хозяин Ронни. Добрый, отзывчивый, пунктуальный, во всём помогал. В доме есть всё необходимое для проживания: мебель, кухня с посудой, душ с горячей водой. Да, мебель старая, но мы приходили домой только поспать и помыться, так что, нам это впечатления не испортило. Villa Manoir расположена в 5 минутах ходьбы от пляжа Анс Буден и в 15-20 минутах ходьбы от красивейшего Анс Лацио. Автобусная остановка прямо перед домом. К сожалению, единственный магазин далековато — минут 15 пешком. То есть, цивилизация от Villa Manoir довольно далеко. Но для нас это не было проблемой, хотя машину мы не брали. Ронни договорился с лодочником, который отвёз нас на Курьёз на весь день. Ронни угощал нас рыбой — специально для нас приготовил ужин в мой день рождения. Он же встречал нас в порту и отвозил обратно. В общем, нам всё понравилось.

Нам хотелось уединения и тишины. Но возможно кому-то это будет в тягость. Дом находится практически в джунглях.

We had a pleasant stay at Villa Manoir. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The people running the place were very kind and even prepared fish for us one evening — a lovely gesture! The location is very convenient, with a bus stop right outside and about a 15-minute walk to Anse Lazio, one of the most beautiful beaches on Praslin. A nice place to stay.

The room was cosy but the dishes were not clean. There are no restaurants nearby so unless you have a car, you need to cook yourself. There is only a very small supermarket in a walking distance. You can walk to the best beach in the island, it is 15 min walk away. There was a construction site next to our room and no view. Breakfast was okay, not the best one. Hosts were friendly.

I don't have an opinion on the breakfast because I made my own food every day. Room: Very clean. Washing machine! Comfortable bed. Loads of storage space. Kitchen fully stocked. Balcony. Quiet and peaceful. I liked that I could cook my own meals for a much lower cost (to save money) and enjoy it on the balcony/terrace and watch the sky full of sounds of birds and bats. You can also see the stars at night if you wanted to sit out and have a drink. Host: Ronny is an amazing host and very attentive. He was very prompt in answering all my questions and messages. He is an amazing Seychellois Creole chef/cook, I was fortunate enough to try one of his fish dishes. I cleaned the plate. First impressions is that they offer you a fresh juice as soon as you sit down to take care of payment and formalities. Transportation: He offered a pick up and drop off from the ferry for a lower cost compared to the taxis. If you want to avoid high transportation costs of taxis, the bus stop is right in front of the villa. (Note: buses may arrive 10-15 minutes earlier or later, so be there by then. You can catch it to go to Valle de Mai, Fond Ferdinand, or jetty/port. Activities: Location is awesome. Anse Boudin is nearest beach & Anse Lazio is their claimed most beautiful beach and next closest beach. Valle de Mai, Fond Ferdinand, White tipped Divers (Octopus divers is not far), Curieuse Island excursion (don't feed the turtles), and Praslin Museum.

Only downside is that there are no restaurants immediately close by. However, it is a self-catering business which means you will have your own kitchen to prepare and cook your own meals however and whenever you want. There is a grocery store 10 min walk away to purchase your food to prepare. If you want cooked meals, you can either walk 15-20 min north to Anse Lazio beach where there are some restaurants (Be warned that the road is full of inclines and declines). It's a good work out. Or you can take a bus into the main areas/beaches like Côte d'Or or Anse Volbert.

The apartment was surprisingly big and featured even a washing machine. Large 180 cm bed. Breakfast is simple but included in the price. I appreciated particularly that Ronny picked me up from my former hotel and that the air conditioning was turned on every time I came home in the evening, so I would find a nice and cool apartment after the heat of the day. Also, apartment was made every day. Good value for money. It's a 20 min walk to the fabulous beach Anse Lazio, downhill easier than coming up the steep road ! Good exercise but if you are not very sporty, there are taxis to bring you up for about 6 euros.

The location was a bit away, from the center.

Great surroundings, you are very close to wild nature, two beaches nearby, bus stop next to accomodation.

We had a great stay, Andrew and his team were really great, photos of the accommodation matched the reality. The place is located in the south with beautiful beaches around, having car is a big advantage. Andrew helped us with our things which we forgot there. There is also a gallery with Andrew's paintings.👍

I really enjoyed staying here! The location was great and super easy to get to by bus, I was able to walk to Anse Lazio and raffle beach and Ronny was super helpful with everything! Breakfast was also delicious and wifi was good enough to do work video calls as well. Thanks!

The location was perfect to Anse Lazio (roughly 15-20 minute walk up and down a small hill). They made us feel us very welcome when they cooked us breakfast earlier after the 1st morning as we had to head out early for our day trip, which we really appreciated. Our host Ronnie gave us a lift to and from the jetty in Praslin (for 400 rupees). Breakfast was nice, just what we needed to kick off the day.

We found a few lizards inside before the first night, but it’s quite typical for Seychelles. The host helped us get rid of them, and we didn’t have more problems next days.

That I did not choose to stay longer

Ronnie was so kind and helpful, giving us lifts and cooking us a lovely curry . It was a short walk to an amazing beach. Comfy bed.

A bit dilapidated- it’s seen better days ! No hot water except in shower. Fittings very aged . Very small room .

The house is nice even thou the old furniture but it is completely isolated . Perfect to go to anse Lazio the most beautiful beach of praslin

If you have not a car and you are a solo traveller, at 6 pm busses finish to operate and you are prisoner in the house

Located 1km from Anse Lazio but it's certainly not a flat walk. Bus stop across the road for access around the island. The property is showing its age. My room was spacious enough. The aircon and fridge worked fine. The tv needed the external antenna to be repositioned and it worked fine after that. There was a small kitchen with bench space & chairs to enable self catering. Also 2 wardrobes, desk with stool as well as 2 other chairs. Lighting was good. The bed had clean linens and afforded me a comfortable sleep. The bathroom had 2 basins with ample bench space. The seperate shower recess had decent hot water and okay pressure. The large balcony area had a table & 2 chairs as well as a drying rack. Breakfast was basic western but enough to get you going for the day. I appreciated a complimentary dinner from the owners. I took advantage of their shuttle service from/to the Port. Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay thanks mainly to the efforts of the owners.

What can I say , it’s just so perfect. Nestled away in the north part of island, it is walking distance from the famous Anse Lazio . The bus stop is just a pebbles throw away and Cote D’Or is around 10 min drive away. You have your own cozy space with a full functioning kitchen equipped with oven, fridge and gas stove. Ronnie hosted us like family, he is the nicest host I’ve ever come across. Little things he did added to our comfortable stay . For eg. whenever we went out strolling, we were always welcomed back with the AC on, our room tidied up , towels changed. You don’t expect it in a self catering villa . Ronnie you were the lovely “Grand Ma” host.

A ceiling/table fan could be better to support Aircon. Although it was good.

Nice place within walking distance from the beautiful Anse Lazio (over the hill). There is a supermarket nearby. The room is big enough, and equipped with everything you need, also for cooking. The host is very helpful and friendly.

Villa Manoir is located directly on a SPTC-bus station, you can get easily from the ferry port via bus to the hotel. The host is really friendly and is giving you all the important informations you need. The rooms are equiped with necessary stuff, also the kitchen - simple but good. Breakfast was tasty and we liked it much. The next (and really beautiful) beach is Anse Lazio. It is a very nice beach (probably the nicest beach) in Praslin. You can access the beach from Villa Manoir by foot for around 15-20min, walk up the street hill and on the other side down. The beach is ideal for swimming and also for snorkeling, the water is clear and has a nice colour.

Air condition is a little bit loud, but not super loud. Next supermarkets are a little bit far away, if you want to walk to them. Double bed were two single bedmatrasses together.

We stayed 1 week at this property, the location ist great close to Anse Lazio and Anse Boudin, our 2 favorite beaches. The owner was nice and helpful, overall we were satisfied with this accommodation 👍

The property is very basic, hence the price, and it is run by a duo of mother and son. Ronnie is very detail orientated and he was always ready to satisfy his clients. In my case, he volunteered to take me to the shop, make chilli sauce from scratch for some of my dishes, and get me papaya for breakfast. This pension is ideally located for Anse Lazio and the terminus for two buses that go around the island.

Everything was good to my liking. Some people may find the facilities dated, but for me it did the job for a couple of days.

Everything was perfect! Couldn't ask for more! Amazing hospitality by Ronni, he even cooked fish for us when found out about one of us having a birthday! The room was so clean and so comfortable! All utensils are available, the TV and WiFi works amazingly. The location is a blast!!! Anse Lazio is just minutes away and Anse Boudin is our preferred place. Seriously, the best accommodation ever, thanks a lot!!!

They had the best Wi-Fi in Seychelles somehow also, it was really close to the best beach. The breakfast was great and most importantly the owners were lovely.

Located close to Anse Lazio (about 15 minutes on foot), with a bus stop right in front of the property. The owner was friendly, whenever he met us waiting for the bus, he gave us a ride, which was very nice and appreciated. We enjoyed the welcome drink. The apartment was equipped with a kitchen, so there is the possibility to cook.

The location is a bit remote, there are no take-aways nearby. Breakfast was rather simple and monotonous. The room equipment is functional but outdated.

Nice cute villa, excellent super helpful host! We appreciate our private entrance to the place where we stayed and also we had our own balcony in front of the forest. The room was clean with small kitchen inside, so you can cook if you want. Great location close to our favorite beach Anse Lazio. Sometimes all you need is a human relation. Our previous accomodation was more luxurious and modern, but we felt a bit lonely there. Here the owners keep in touch with you, if you need help on any issues, you will get it.

Ronny tried his best to make our stay as good as possible, offered a better transfer price than any other on Praslin, showed us the best takeaway place and was always ready to help.

The facilities are not new but everything works fine.

Perfect, very affordable location for Anse Lazio, arguably the best beach in Seychelles (yes, even compared to Anse Source d'Argent). It's roughly a 17 min walk away. Ronnie and his family are excellent hosts, very welcoming and also flexible with us and our various requests. The welcome drink is amazing and was just what we needed! Breakfast is great, with fruits, organic fruit juice, eggs and sausages, plenty to keep your stomach full even until dinner (which is pretty early in Seychelles given then sun sets at 6 PM. It's a "self-catering" accommodation, meaning you have to cook your own food which does save you a lot of money. The supermarket is 10 min away by foot.

No take aways nearby but that's not the property's fault. There aren't any close to Anse Lazio anyway.

Ronnie is the best host! so lovely and helpful and went the extra mile for us to feel comfortable. love the proximity to the beautiful Anse Lazzio.

a lovely place and nice and quiet. Ronnie is an excellent cook so we ate in every night! The slight problem with the water was sorted out very quickly and every effort made to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend Villa Manoir for a stay on Praslin

Hosts are friendly and helpful. You get all facilities you need (bathroom, kitchen, air conditioning), and everything works well. A separate note about Wi-Fi - it's really good, the connection is surprisingly strong and stable.

Rooms are old. Air conditioner is noisy a little.

Villa Manoir is a great choice for your stay in Praslin. The staff is extremely nice and kind and made us feel very welcome. Even though we were unlucky with the weather during our stay, they did their best to help us, even cooking for us a nice typical creole lunch one day. Breakfast was delicious with both savoury and sweet options and everything was prepared at the moment with fresh ingredients. The apartment was spacious and clean with a good wifi connection. The location was good, at 10 min walk from the beautiful beach of Anse Lazio, 5 min from a supermarket and with a bus stop right in front of the apartment.

Super guesthouse only 1 km. from Anse Lazio beach. Another beautiful beach only a 5 minutes walk away. Bus stop right outside the guesthouse. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Apartment has fully equipped kitchen, but the restaurant cooking is excellent. Good breakfast.

Lovely budget self catering apartment within walking distance to Anse Lazio beach. Everything you need right there with a bus stop on your doorstep. Ronnie and his family go out of their way to assist in what ever you need. Really would loved to have stayed a bit longer.

Friendly host Clarence and her son Ronny run the show. The rustic but comfortable accommodation is cleaned every day and towels are changed. Breakfast is fruit juice, toast and jam, fresh fruit and fruit juice, tea or coffee... If you opt out of breakfast you may find you save €20 which is quite a saving in Seychelles where everything is very overpriced. they prepared fresh fish twice in our weeks stay which was delicious... For very little....and drove us to our next destination on the island.. So they will help wherever they can .... Taxis are hugely expensive. There is a local supermarket for basics but both the local beaches are the best on this island, in our opinion. Bed is comfortable and th area is quiet. We would return and recommend this accom.

We were staying at Villa Manoir for 4 days in November last year. The staff was very nice and friendly. They even opened the coconuts we had found for us :-) Although the breakfast was simple but delicious, it was the same every morning. The location of Villa Manoir is excellent. The bus stop is right at the front door which is perfect if you like exploring. Moreover, it is really close to the most beautiful beach of Praslin - the Anse Lazio (about 20 minutes by walk over the steep hill). The location is quite peaceful and you can find ripe mangoes and other fruit lying on the road. There is a nice beach, Anse Boudin which is closer than Anse Lazio. And there is a Indian supermarket just five minutes by walk down the road. The rooms are simple but clean and cozy. We think you get very good accomodation for the money you pay. No luxury but you have everything you need. We can recommand Villa Manoir without any reservation.

We spend five nights at Villa Manoir in October. The family was very friendly and did everything to make us feel comfortable during our stay, and even helped us with the transfers to the airport. The food they cooked was always delicious. The beach is one of the best beaches on Seychelles, the walk takes around 12 minutes over a steep hill. A supermarket is around 10 minutes walk away. Good value for money.

Nice place to stay on the budget. Close to the beach. Pick up service available. Very attentive host Ronnie, his brothers and his parents. Felt like home ;-) Great mattresses too! Breakfast is simple, coffee is tasty, bus stop is literally at the steps. Loved it! Thank you ;-)

The place was really nice, with small cozy room and kitchen. We stayed 5 nights there. Anse Lazio is about 10 minutes walk accross the hill and I guess this is the closest accommodation to it. Staff is very friendly, brought us fresh fruits to snack and fresh fish to grill in our kitchen owen (really delicious). They also organized for us tranfer to jetty for 200 rupees. In the evening it's nice to sit in front of room and watch the fruit bats flying around. There is supermarket nearby (8 minutes), but only problem is that there is not much to do around (expect Anse Lazio), there are just 2 really expensive restaurants at Anse Lazio and not much people around (but well, we were in the rainy season, end of January).

We have been in this place in 2010 and completely forgot to write a review. And now saw that Villa unreasonably low rating. This place is better than you think. Great location Villa (right next to the Ance Lazio) is a huge plus! It really is the best beach on Praslin. Keep in mind that on the way to the beach (about 10 minutes walk) must overcome small rise, which can be difficult in the hot weather. For us it was not a burden. The room is small and simple, but comfortable. The hosts did everything to please us: met and accompanied us, helped order food, they transported us to his car where we will ask for a very small fee (much cheaper than a taxi!), organized excursions to small prices, prepared for us barbecue. Overall this is a great budget accommodation on Praslin. I can recommend to all who do not want to spend a lot money and not very demanding in terms of comfort.

This is a small self catering family run establishment. It consists of husband wife and three sons who are from Praslin. It is the closest place for accommodation to Anse Lasio, rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. At the moment the decor is being upgraded and they have recently opened a snack bar selling coffees,snacks and ice cold refreshments. The family really went out of their way to make our stay very memorable like bringing us a Barracuda for supper that had been caught that day plus another fish the next night. They then took us to live Creole entertainment on the island. We are going back now in October 2009 and will let you know the improvements that have taken place. Please give them a try, the island people need our support.

The owner does not know the meaning of hospitality. She is rude and she and her sons are not clean. Food prices are inconceivable and the quality is terrible. On the first day we chose the half board because we didn't know the chef was the fifteen years old son that cooked barefoot wearing a spotty t-shirt. During the horrible dinner all the family was confortable sitting at the other tables staring at us. Our room was poor quality. The kitchenette was rusty and the TV didn't work. In return a lot of bugs keep us company. Don't go there!

We stayed 4 weeks in the Villa Manoir, a small family run guesthouse with 3 units in the affordable price range. One unit is selfcatering. Pretty good for Seychellan standard - which means by European or US standard things are far from perfect. This place is excellent for nature lovers and snorkelers - not for people looking for a cosmopolitan place. Not ideal for nitpickers because you could waste time with nitpicking - but this is normal in the Seychelles. While some equipment and installations could use a little professional touchup the owners are extremely helpful and friendly which more than compensated for any problems. The owners also provide or arrange many extra services. Unfortunately English is not their native language and only few members of the family speak English really well. The stairs to the bathroom in our unit required basic acrobatic skills, other units have no special obstacles. We were selfcatering all the time; other guests told us that the food is fine but can get monotonous after a few days (not unusual in the Seychelles). So if you are thinking about fullboard it may be better to buy the meals on a day by day basis. Excellent location for snorkeling but very remote. Anse Boudin is a small village and bay of the same name on the northwest corner of Praslin, close to famous Anse Lazio beach. There is a small shop in the jungle, next touristy facilities are 5 km away at Cote d'Or. People from the village are friendly, quiet and unintrusive - unlike the Cote d'Or where you can encounter some dubious people attracted by the tourist masses. The guesthouse is situated next to the bus stop where tourists walk off to Anse Lazio. It is next to the road which as of Oct 2008 was very quiet. Most travel guides say it is around 15 minutes walk from this place to Anse Lazio, with snorkeling equipment it was more like 20 minutes. Anse Lazio is in our experience the best snorkeling spot on Praslin. Turtles, eagle rays, sting rays, 2 kinds of sharks, octopus and many others.. neither St. Piere nor Curieuse get even close to that. The smaller Anse Boudin beach was 5 minutes walk from our doorstep, it has safe swimming, some stingrays and turtles for snorkeling - but sometimes also a little sea grass. The coastline from Anse Boudin to Anse Takamaka is quite spectacular for photography. Very few mosquitoes in this place nevertheless a mosquito net may still be a good idea for a good sleep. Like in most places on Praslin water supply is limited. The guesthouse has an own tank which means some water is available around the clock - however because all water runs through the tank it is probably never safe to drink without cooking. Sometimes the tap water is noticeably brownish.
